This is a very descriptive book, which might not be a good thing if you have a weak stomach! It did seem a bit disjointed to me at times, with some of the characters having a distinctive, but sometimes hard to follow, way of speaking.

This isn’t a book to ‘enjoy’, but it is one that will keep you gripped. So long as you don’t mind blood and guts (literally), then I have no hesitation in recommending it.

For me, it was the second part that knocked off a star, although the writing was still as smooth as ever. It just didn’t feel right. After all the angst and embarrassment of part one, in part two, it was over and done with. It was almost like the author couldn’t decide whether the anxiety between the two MCs or the mystery side of the story should take first place. As such, both fell a bit flat for me.

This is very well written, with no spelling or grammatical errors that disrupted my reading. I thoroughly enjoyed most of the story, and have no hesitation in recommending it.

I found this to be a fun and sexy quick story. While Eve and Taylor get hot and heavy pretty quickly, they’ve known each other a while and the short length of the story allowed me to accept the fast pace of their romance. Readers looking for more of a slow burn in that part of the storyline might not find as much satisfaction as I did with this, but I enjoyed both the characters and the style of the authors writing and could overlook the speed with which they hit the sheets.

The arrangement Taylor and Eve come to regarding his salary and back-pay that’s owed didn’t really hit the mark for me. I personally didn’t find it titillating or sexy and if it hadn’t been so well explained – and so very clear Taylor wasn’t taking advantage of Eve – I feel in different circumstances I might have even found it not to my tastes and been tempted to stop reading. I don’t think all readers will feel like this, the scene is exceptionally well written and I feel some readers might get a lot more out of it and be happy to overlook what their arrangement effectively boils down to. While I can certainly see how the deal Eve and Taylor strike helped progress their relationship and was a good plot-device, I just never personally really got into it and I felt a bit disappointed by that part of the story.

I was really happy though how the author did an excellent job of not letting the plot of Eve helping the garage out of their financial tangle to become just a footnote. The plot was well thought out and I felt the author did a great job of keeping it consistent and prominent throughout the story. This didn’t come across to me as filler or an afterthought to pitch between the sex scenes – but an important and coherent aspect of the story holding it all together. A lot of smoking hot, sexy stories don’t hit this kind of mark for me so I was really pleased with how well I felt the author did balancing the romance and the plot together.

Eve and Taylor are both wildly attracted to each other, in an unusual circumstance and are both consenting grown adults. While I’m not certain this will be every reader’s cup of tea, I found it well written, well plotted and with some promising secondary characters I feel sure future books will be based upon. A good, quick read.

In the first few chapters I realised this was definitely a “grab a drink, sit back and enjoy it” style of story for me, personally. Logic and good reason was cast out the window and I just relaxed with all the shenanigans that went on. With Gasper and Isla being two modern, horny characters, were-bear paranormal stuff and a BDSM Dom/sub aspect to their relationship this short story packs a hell of a lot into its brief and fun punch. I initially thought that there would maybe be too many aspects crammed into the one story, but I can honestly say I felt the authors did an amazing job here. While fast-paced and definitely modern in how quickly everything moved right along, I didn’t feel that any part of the story was given short shrift. And this both delighted and surprised me.

Had I not just sat back and let the story take me away, there is plenty that might trip up readers looking for a more plot-intense or heavy style of book. This is not a deep exploration or look into the intricacies of the BDSM lifestyle or a heavily world-building paranormal style of story. But readers looking for a light, happy and seriously smoking hot sexy read should find this as enjoyable as I did. The BDSM is fairly light – while Gasper truly was into the lifestyle Isla had only really dabbled in it previously and so their explorations didn’t have time to get really deep with the short length of the story.

Sexy, fresh and modern I found this to be a fun, fast-paced short story with lots to recommend to it. An enjoyable read and the start of a new series I plan to keep an eye out for.

I found this to be a fun and light short story. I was pleased that Noah and Summer’s break up was well into their past – and while the hurt and problems still needed resolving between them, the actual arguments had eased with the passage of time. The doctored photos – or more precisely, Summer’s lack of self-confidence and faith in Noah – both felt a bit clichéd and I don’t feel I’d have been as empathetic or forgiving to Summer had that all happened during the book itself. Summer having the calmness and strength from a few years having passed gave her a much more realistic and mature outlook on the situation and her being able to own up to her mistakes really helped me feel in her corner and root for her and Noah to patch their relationship up.

One of the reasons I picked this story up was because it was the second in the Bare Alley Ink series – about a tattoo parlour where the tattoo artist is a bear shifter. Therefore I was quite disappointed that pretty much none of this story revolved around either the parlour, or really anything much paranormal. I feel readers hoping for a paranormal or shape-shifter world (or element to the story) will find this lacking in that respect.

From the perspective of a romance reader though, I did enjoy how most of the plot centered around Noah and Summer reconnecting and almost starting their relationship new once again. Instead of re-hashing old arguments, or being plagued by what could have been or other far less romantic and interesting aspects which the book could have focused on, I really enjoyed seeing the two characters show each other just how much they had each matured, and how honest they were with just how badly they had missed the other. I found it sweet and romantic and a good indication that they’d both learned from their mistakes and personal issues.

With some steamy sex and plenty of emotion, this was a fun and happy contemporary story that I enjoyed.

Because there were details mentioned that either I didn’t know or had forgotten were mentioned. There is some implied violence, but nothing that should trigger.

Everyone has there own way of dealing with shocking and life-altering news. Jackal’s way was running. That said, this is a second chance romance that includes a sweet baby girl and a dad trying to make up for everything.

This book has multiple plots, which keep you in your toes. Josie’s brother Tank is a Dixie Reaper and when she finds herself pregnant after spending a couple days with him, the Dixie Reapers rally around her and her child.

The story itself spans a little over two years, but it does skip two years to when Jackal finds out the truth. It’s well-written and gave me a bit of action with the romance. I saw the friendship between the brothers and between the different clubs. It is a sizzling romance with a hint of violence.

I thought it was strange how easily Avery accepted her situation and that even though she has only had sex once, she is not embarrassed by all the new situations. She does not try for her freedom either, although there was no way she could have found a way out but she didn’t even think of it. This isn’t a rosy romance and readers looking for such might not get what they want from this story.

This is a short novel that shows you can’t push away love when it enters your heart. It also shows that it is okay to learn about your own sexuality without consequences. They both learn that you can’t fight a connection that goes soul deep.

If you want a romance that’s not status quo, then this might be the one for you.

This is the 8th book in the series. Though it can definitely be read as a standalone, I would like to mention that the characters do appear in each other’s books and in different series.

Rin has a history. Not a good one. Her half-brother is into prostitution and it seems had forced her into it as well. Rin was mentally and physically healing when she came into the club. She immediately felt safe with Wraith. They had a chemistry from the get-go, though it was a bit difficult for me to believe that she was able to be intimate with Wraith that early. After the trauma of her past, I expected it would take some time for her to be ready for that and the intimate sex scenes would come at the absolute end and be a bit sweet. That being said everything was consensual between them.

I loved seeing Wraith with her. He’s protective of her. Regardless of everything else, the sex and chemistry were hot. The need to make her happy was constant with him and I enjoyed reading it. The plot was really easy to get into and follow. Rin and Wraith both have a past and it seems they complete each other.

If you want to understand better and love reading a biker love story with hot chemistry and camaraderie between the brothers, as well as the sizzling chemistry between the hero and damsel in distress…then this book might be for you.
