Rory hates that she had to tell Zwyk her sister has run away instead of marrying him. Well, she hates the pain her sister caused. She can’t exactly say she’s sorry the wedding is off. Maybe now she can make Zwyk see what’s been right under his nose this entire time — her.

This was another great book in the Intergalactic Brides Series from Jessica Coulter Smith. Rory and the Alien Groom was a short, sweet and very sexy fantasy romance that had me captivated from page one until the end.

Zwyk was unlucky in love until his fiance left him standing at the alter on his wedding day. He finally met the love of his life and the perfect mate in Rory. She was the little sister of the runaway bride so naturally this caused him to hesitate about jumping right back into another romantic entanglement. Luckily for him Rory didn’t have the same qualms. She was already halfway in love with the sexy purple alien. She just had to convince Zwyk to give their relationship a chance. Their romance hit a few snags here and there but Rory was persistent until Zwyk finally realized how short life can be and decided to take another chance with Rory.

I sure did love this story. As usual, it was wonderfully written with engaging characters and an entertaining plot. I enjoyed the hot sex scenes but most of all I truly liked Rory and Zwyk. I love strong heroines who know what they want and go after it. In this case it was Rory who made the first move even though she was rather innocent. I loved her tenacity.

I must admit that I’ve never been all that interested in the Sci-Fi/Fantasy genre, but I’ve read every book in this series. Jessica Coulter Smith has become one of my favorite authors. I look forward to reading many more books in the Intergalactic Brides Series. So for what it’s worth I happily recommend this book, and the series, to everyone.

If only her body would listen.

Rock my body (A Mendez novel) by Lee Piper is a must read. It’s as easy as that. I finished the book last night after two days of binge reading and I’m in love. First with Dominic, then with Riley and with everything that has to do with this book.

Granted, I’m not a fan of first person point of view, but Lee Piper surprised me. She has mastered the art and I was drawn into the book and into Riley’s character from page one. I immediately connected with her. Her anguish, happiness, love, lust, I could feel all of it in my own bones.

The chemistry between the characters is insane and Ms. Piper knows how to draw it out. To say I squirmed a few times is an understatement.

But there is more. Though there is obviously a strong sexual connection between the characters, we see so much more. They are characters with flaws, good things and bad, tragic stories, which made my heart ache.

This is the kind of book that once finished made me crave for more. I’ll be reading Levi’s story next (although apparently I should have done that first) and can’t wait for the rest of the series to be released.

But when Pynder dies suddenly, his parents swoop in and snatch Sophie from Celeste’s arms before banishing her from their world. Celeste will do anything to get her daughter back, but falling in love with a bartender — or anyone else — was never part of the plan.

This was a great Sci-Fi/ Fantasy romance. The way that Jessica Coulter Smith was able to bring the characters to life in my imagination had me hanging on every word until the end.

The best part of this short romance was the emotions and amazing characters. I loved Zanar the sexy alien bartender. He was just so sweet and really cared about Celeste and her daughter. Zanar won my affection right away. I liked Celeste very much because she was strong and easy to relate to. This author always does an awesome job on the world building by giving her characters some real life struggles to overcome. For Celeste it was starting all over after being held captive for five years on an alien planet. She never let adversity define her and didn’t want to be seen as a victim. Yet even with her incredible grit and determination, it would’ve difficult for her to get her daughter back had it not been for Zanar.

I am a huge fan of this author’s writing. Her creativity and world building is exceptional. I adored Zanar and Celeste, and loved the small cameos from some of previous couples in the Intergalactic Brides series. Lastly, I loved the naughty sex scenes. Those are always a bonus for me.

This sexy fantasy romp had just about everything needed to make it a fantastic reading experience for this happy reader.

Before long, she finds herself falling in love with this strange, lonely, passionate man. As her feelings grow, Linda vows to help Gregory escape the empty half-life of a wandering soul and become human again…but to save him, she must make a terrible sacrifice.

How many centuries could you wait to meet your soulmate?

One of the things I enjoyed the most about this story were its vivid descriptions of Linda’s ordinary daily routines. She wasn’t at all happy with the way she was living when she first met Gregory, and her frustration shone through brightly in the beginning. Seeing those scenes in such detail made the rest of their adventures even more appealing than it would have otherwise been.

The chemistry between Gregory and Linda never felt quite right to me. Their relationship heated up so incredibly fast that I wasn’t quite sure what they saw in each other or why they were suddenly all over each other. While I liked both of these characters as individuals and thought they had real potential as a couple, I would have liked to see more examples of what they found attractive about each other in the beginning since they didn’t know each other at all when the sparks first began to fly.

With that being said, the sex scenes were nicely written. I was intrigued by what it might be like for someone to sleep with a spirit when I first read the blurb, and I couldn’t wait to see how everything from foreplay to afterplay and everything in-between would work when only one of the characters actually had a body. Ms. Steiger’s take on the topic was fresh and well done.

Invisible Love was a short, satisfying tale that I’d recommend to anyone who is in the mood for something steamy.

I loved this great paranormal menage book!

I’ve recently become a devoted reader of Kryssie Fortune’s books. This one is is a stand alone story although it is connected to the Scattered Siblings series. I loved the idea of half brothers Elias and Seth being mated to the same female and their love for their witch helping to heal a bond that had been torn apart by betrayal. Tempest was feisty enough to take on both of her supernatural mates but first she had to find her hidden strength. Of course, there was the trouble with a prophecy that was seemingly insurmountable and a formidable enemy added into the mix.

The characters in this book endeared themselves to me because fate had not been kind to any of them. It was Elias who tugged at my heart the most though. I loved the sexy menage sex scenes too. This was one very hot story! It was fast paced and loaded with action, as well.

Kryssie Fortune did a fabulous job on this book. Her writing was amazing and the dynamics of this supernatural world promise many exciting books to come for my future reading bliss. Meanwhile, Hades has more redeeming to do so that I can get my hands on the next book soon.

As a result, much more blood viagra online canadian is in a position to get rock hard erection. I’m an honest-to-goodness, denial wearing- f*ck-up. My love life contains themes of extreme complication, washboard abs and mind-blowing romps in the sack. It’s okay though. I swallow the crazy sh*t life is bringing in buckets because I really don’t want to deal with what’s important… like finally facing my scarier than split ends great grandfather — the head honcho himself and why his decades long absence has come to an end in time for my birthday. And wondering why I collected lust cards from three different guys.

The next few days I face is sure to be a cluster–f*ck of epic proportions, during which, I will learn the following: It’s cute to cuddle with a lion but dangerous when he’s keeping secrets… Flirting and making hubba-hubba eyes at a vampire is just asking to get your neck chomped on. And sending Polaroid pictures of your ass to a dragon is all fun and games till he decides to kidnap you.

My solution: Eat a ton of birthday cake then run like hell.

It was the title that grabbed me but the story is what kept me. This book was a pleasant surprise because it was like nothing I’ve ever read before. Yes, it’s first person point of view but the heroine, Kokoa, with her internal dialogue, her turns of phrases and her unapologetic kookiness charmed me, engaged my interest and gave me so many reasons to smile or chortle that I lost count. She is not my typical heroine, her location isn’t like Mayberry and her relationships are mind bogglingly complex.

I guess I’m going to have to label this one as a happy for now because I think J.R. Pearson is just getting started in showing me that Kokoa isn’t the simple pancake-eating, taco devouring lover of food and family. She has three love interests but only one who she’s accepted into her bed. She’s lusting after all of them and she’s kind of happy-go-lucky about her friendship with them because for the heroine, being friends is key. She truly loves them all but … not enough to have indiscriminant sex with all of them. There’s just something about Gavin that does it for her, but Jon is the only one that is closest to touching her heart. Then there’s Adrian Galzra . Wow. Adrian is a loose cannon. He’s not a friend per se, but he’s not her enemy. The heroine kind of instigated his interest in her but from the sounds of the final chapter I’d say Kokoa may have bitten off more than she handle – if she handles the situation like she did that drink, boy is she in trouble!

A Little Fang Never Hurt Anybody has the potential to be a powerhouse of a series if this first book is any indication. In the beginning the heroine seems like she has a bit of a potty mouth but readers are going to be in for a bit of an eye-opening experience with her character. Kokoa has depth and it sounds like the revealing of her complexity is just getting started. J.R. Pearson is world building in this novelette and I am thoroughly fascinated with its history, its population, its secrets and how the heroine is going to fit within it.

Jon featured strongly in this story but the next one is going to focus on someone else, and I can’t tell if it’s going to be Gavin or Adrian – both men have something to recommend them and both perhaps are not all as they seem. I feel like I’ve been teased with a hint of intrigue and after her last interaction with Adrian, I’m hooked. And I mean seriously hooked. This story isn’t a short shot of an excuse just for having sex. No, this one has meat, intent, a rich community to work within and secrets to uncover. While I was reading I had the feeling that I was experiencing a quality of writing that I’m used to seeing from the bigger names in the industry. I’m duly impressed and feel fortunate that I chose this book to read. Thank goodness for the catchy title!

Keep your eye on the Monster Haven series because if it continues as it’s started, this is going to be one powerful ride. I can guarantee I won’t want to get off of anytime soon if the following books are as well done and surprising as this one was.

A Little Fang Never Hurt Anybody is an unexpected gem and I look forward to seeing it shine as the story arc unfolds. I think the adventure is just beginning and I’m glad I discovered this series early on. I can’t wait to find out what happens next!

What a ride!

I had sort of an idea what I was getting into when I picked up this book. Cougar and cub story with hot sex and a good time… It’s intriguing. There are moments when the book is hot. Like scorching the page hot. The writing is fast-paced and Solene is relatable. Who wouldn’t want the adoration of a younger man?

But I had a few problems with the book. Hayes is an interesting character. He’s part of a boy band. Initially, I thought this would make him rather vapid. I mean, he’s got money and women thrown at him, plus the adoration of teens everywhere. I can see where it would go to his head. And it does to a degree. One minute he’s rather wise beyond his years, but then other times he’s very much a twenty year old. Then there’s Solene. I liked her. I mean, she’s in a tough spot. She wants to be loved and wants to find herself, but doesn’t know where that finding herself is. Cool premise. But I got a tad bored with her. Okay, she’s got a hot younger man (think one of the One Direction guys) who is fawning all over her. I get her emotional maturity in dealing with him, but she’s the same kind of waffle-y character as Hayes. One minute she’s mature and the next she’s almost scandalized by what she’s doing. I liked that she wasn’t totally sure, but I also kind of wanted her to have more of a backbone. If you want him, take him.

Still, it was a good read. A good beach read with lots of fantasy – how many people really meet the boys in the boy band and have a tryst – and plenty of heat. If you’re into books that are escapism, then this might be the one for you.

Try it!

Ayah Miller’s having a hell of a day. She just buried her father, and found she’s a millionaire. Now it turns out she’s a pawn in a battle between Gods and a Goddess. At least, that’s what Sevani, the hotass who just kissed her within an inch of her life, says. And if an Immortal Watcher, like he tells her, then he’d know.

It sure seems plausible when bullets start flying, swords start swinging, and only half the fighters are trying to kill her.

She’s just starting to get comfortable with Sevani (and falling for him) when she learns it’s probably not her he’s been kissing: it’s probably the soul of his long-lost wife she’s carrying.

Now there’s no one she can trust. Not Sevani. Not Valeria, Alexander, and Lei who fight alongside him. Not Freya, the Goddess who created the Watchers, who hides behind her pretty smiles. And certainly not her family, because it’s one of them who wants her dead.

Can she stay alive long enough to learn who she can trust, and whether she’s who Sevani loves?

Ayah had suffered one loss after another. The latest would be the biggest blow. Her life would never be the same.

No matter how close knit a family thinks they are, money has a way of clouding judgements and turning love ones against each other. Spending most her life caring for one person or another, Ayah is naïve in relationships, making her the perfect target for someone’s greed. In a span of twenty-four hours, she’d lost someone very dear, gained more wealth than she knew what to do with, and learned she was marked for death, possibly by someone close to her. Her salvation? A man of jaw-dropping proportions and charm who claims to have loved her in a past life. Talk about a lot to swallow. Despite his questionable motives, she will have to choose between trusting her head and trusting her heart; her life depended on it.

Sevani had endured hundreds of years of slavery under the control of a Goddess who’d lost her mind long ago. While not something one ever got used to, he’d accepted his fate, even welcomed it for he deserved all she did to him and more. He’d betrayed the one person he loved most and now her blood would forever stain his hands. If only he could go back and change that fateful decision, stay his reckless blade; things would have been so different. One violent act had ended not one, but two lives, for his state of being was anything but normal or desired. Resigned to do Freya’s bidding as one of her Watchers, the only light in his long years of dark servitude is his friendship with Lei, Valerie, and Alexander. Like him, they had pissed off the Queen of Mean and were trapped in the Hell she’d created for them. Slaves to her evil whims, it seemed they’d never be free. All they could hope for was that she never discovered how important their bonds of friendship had become for she would surely use it against them.

Sevani and Ayah (Nila in another life) have an endearing love that has spanned hundreds of years. Despite his betrayal, Nila’s soul still searched for him through the ages after her death, taking on one life after another until at last she had found him. But the bitter rage of an insatiable Goddess threatens to tear them apart once again as her orders for Sevani are to repeat his betrayal and kill the one woman whom he loves more than life itself. Sevani has to decide between disobeying his captor and facing tortures beyond comprehension—Freya had proven herself quite creative when it came to inflicting agony—and losing his love to the cold steel of his blade once again. While it seemed neither outcome looked favorable, it didn’t take long for him to decide what must be done. Ever the leader, the foundation, the rock to his small team of emotionally scarred immortals, Sevani has no choice but to follow his heart. This decision makes him not only candy for the eyes, but honey for the soul as well.

Ayah can’t understand why her head tells her to run from the weapon wielding maniac standing in her bedroom, professing to be her immortal protector, but her body wants nothing more than to saddle up to him and offer everything she has to give. Is she crazy? It sure seems so. Yet despite the warring of her psyche, her heart tells her to trust him. It doesn’t seem she has much choice for the danger he predicts coming is soon at her doorstep. Suddenly thrust into an inconceivable world of gods, guns, and bloodshed, she handles her situation better than most probably would. That’s not to say she follows directions well, she doesn’t, and that lands hers in trouble more than once. But her spunk, intelligence, and ability to open her mind to the unknown creates a very likable personality that quickly takes root, detailing a wonderful character that you can’t help but cheer for. She takes her punches and keeps on going.

Overall, Immortal Need by LeTeisha Newton proved to be an exciting read full of action, adventure, and plenty of hot-between-the-sheets activity. There were some point of view violations and word errors, but not enough to detract from the story. I enjoyed reading Immortal Need and would certainly recommend it to others.

Not all larger-than-life warriors are good guys, Ms. Newton’s characters can attest to that, but they are no less appealing or likeable. Despite having to do horrible things to please the Goddess who commands them, they want nothing more than their freedom, to end the betrayal, murder and bloodshed that has become their existence. While Ayah might be a damsel in need of saving, she may also be the salvation this team of Watchers needs. I encourage you to grab a copy of Immortal Need by LeTeisha Newton, it’s a tale worth reading.

From page one, I was captivated by Sierra Cartwright’s Enticement.

On the one hand, we have the heroine, Ella. I easily sympathized with her. She didn’t do one night stands or casual flings. She was looking for a good guy, someone she could marry and settle down with. Fortunately, she meets Pierce, who makes her see that good guys come in all sorts of different packages.

Ah, Pierce. He had me from the moment he appeared in the story. He’s hot, sexy, with an edge that speaks of dangers and mysteries untold. He’s confident in his skin and he’s a Dom. He takes charge of situations without bullying his way in and he displays both tender and lighthearted moments. I was hooked.

Together the pair make a sizzling combination. They banter, they share emotional journeys and they have scorching sex. As always when it comes to BDSM sex scenes, Ms. Sierra Cartwright is the master. They were well written, realistic (for instance, when Ella gets a caning tears come to her eyes), drawing me into the situation, the excitement.

Finally, I was extremely pleased with the ending of the story. I never would have guessed it to go in that direction.

Enticement was a scorching, romantic read, which I’m definitely adding to my Sierra Cartwright collection of must reads.

When she offers him money to pose as her fake fiancé, he decides that the money could help him out and allow him to spend more time with Val.

All hell breaks loose when Gunner is outed as the son of one of the werewolf world’s most notorious packbreakers. When Gunner tries to gain entrance into Val’s pack, he’s denied.

Despite their mutual attraction and their desire to explore their growing bond, they have a lot going against them. Will they choose self preservation or fight to be together?

Valerie and Gunner meet by chance in a small town and the attraction is instant, but now is not the time to investigate their feelings. Both have their own agendas that must be met. Gunner is on the run and has secrets that he cannot share yet Valerie won’t ignore the pull he has on her. She is ready to spend what little time they can have together before everyone must evacuate the town. Soon Valerie needs Gunner’s help and asks him to pose as her fiancée.  He can’t deny her. Will the two be able to fool her family while Gunner stays hidden and ahead of those trying to kill him?

Once again, I was quickly immersed in a wondrous tale from Selena Illyria. The author does a great job of bringing the characters and this world to life. I loved Gunner. He is a good man who has been wronged and is surviving the only way he knows how. Valerie is a strong woman who stands on her own and is ready to fight for what she wants and what is right. The two complement each other nicely and work well together. I enjoyed watching their relationship take shape and seeing the two fight for their love. Their attraction may be strong right from the start but we get to see the two work hard at finding their happy ever after. Love does not always conquer all but it helps and Gunner and Valerie learn this the hard way.

Their story moves along at a good pace and with some twists and turns along the way. It will grab your attention and not let go until the very end. I loved that this story is full of well-rounded characters who stand out. Not only do we get to see Valerie and Gunner but many of the secondary characters shine. It gives you the feeling of knowing the inhabitants of this world and wanting to come back for a visit again.
