A killer forces them on the run…

Detectives Trey Marsh and Jordan Wallace will do whatever it takes to protect Nicole—even if that means letting her have her way with their bodies. When trouble comes their way, they will put themselves in harm’s way to safeguard the woman they’ve come to love.

Nicole was used to turning heads and being vastly underestimated in her work within the DA’s office. She didn’t mind too much – by the time most men realised she had a solid brain inside her pretty blonde head it was too late – their guilty clients were already half-way to jail. She enjoyed her work and relished putting the guilty away for a long, long time. Only now one of the worst killers she knew had escaped prison and had a long-seated grudge against her. With two dead-sexy detectives assigned to guard her body Nicole isn’t too concerned about her safety, until she discovers these men might just be a risk to her heart.

I really enjoyed this short story. I was particularly pleased that the author managed to really balance the plot with the hot ménage sex. At no stage did I feel like one or the other was getting short-changed. The tension of having a crazy psychopath out on the loose and chasing after Nicole felt real enough to me that it didn’t feel like a plot-device, but a genuine source of conflict and worry for Nicole’s safety, and therefore of both Trey and Jordan in their roles as police protection. I also felt the chemistry between the two men and Nicole added a good layer of sexiness to the whole story without overdoing it. The three of them didn’t simply hop straight into bed, but progressed in a more natural way from trusting each other to becoming more intimate. I thought this really helped guide me along as the reader and made the relationship and dynamics between Trey, Jordan and Nicole feel more realistic.

Nicole had some extremely modern thoughts on sex and romance which took me a moment to process. While I enjoyed her strength and freedom of thought I also found it a little sad just how vulnerable it made Nicole seem to me. I was pleased both Trey and Jordan could see through Nicole’s attitude and understand the complexities underlying it. My only slight quibble with the story was the speed with which much of the plot was wrapped up and some of the coincidences that needed to align for it. Given the short page-count I totally understand the author couldn’t drag things out or have a complicated trail to follow for the conclusion, but this did leave me feeling like the plot was a little rushed toward the end.

The sex was hot and prolific, to my mind. I enjoyed that Nicole was intimate with both Trey and Jordan separately before they got together as a threesome. While a ménage is clearly where both Trey and Jordan wanted to head from the beginning I actually was pleased that Nicole was attracted to each man independently and was sexually interested in them both – that one wasn’t just a “tag along”. This helped me feel like the ménage began and worked on an equal footing which I really liked.

With a solid plot and some seriously hot threesome sex this is a great short story that I feel sure will appeal to many readers.

Giddy by the revelation, she meets the enigmatic Gordon St. Roth and decides to indulge in a one night stand, never realizing their paths were meant to cross more than once.

Anyone’s life can change in an instant.

When I first read the blurb I was intrigued by the thought of someone believing they were married for quite a few years only to find out that the marriage license had never been registered with the government. The narrator spent a satisfying amount of time explaining how something like this could happen and what a divorce attorney would want to do with this information after Aubrey decided she wanted to leave the man she believed was her husband. This sure was an interesting twist on life after divorce, and I liked the way the narrator handled this part of the storyline.

The chemistry between Aubrey and Gordon never felt quite right to me. They both had headstrong personalities that meant neither one of them was willing to back down when conflicts arose. While I liked the way they were both willing to stand up for what they thought was right, their arguments happened so often that I didn’t feel like I got a good chance to see their softer sides. It was hard for me to picture them ending up together because of this. Some conflict is a good thing, but I felt like these characters had a little too much of it.

There were a couple of fun plot twists in this book that I didn’t see coming in advance. It was amusing to be surprised like that, especially once I realized it had happened more than once. I liked the fact that the author had a few tricks up her sleeve and wasn’t afraid to use them. This made me curious to see what else she might write in the future.

Readers who enjoys stories that are full of surprises should give A Stranger’s Touch a try.

Mary Allen’s never been a guy magnet. Most men are put off by her confidence in the workplace. Not Sebastian. He kindles a passion she thought was long dead. After one scene, she’s ready to jump back into the lifestyle. But can a workplace romance really work?

Just about any holiday is viagra ordination go now generally good to familys to enjoy, nonetheless with regards to the high prices that numerous places around the globe request for prescription medications. Sebastian Paul came back to the Underground after time away to figure out what he wanted from his life. He can’t escape the desire or the need for the scene, but he hasn’t found his perfect sub—until he spots Mary. He never expected to see her at the club. She works with him, and although she oozes confidence, he notes her desire to submit. He wants Mary as his girl. No question. But will she want him in return?

When passion ignites, love will find a way.

Mary is happy to blend in and not be noticed, particularly since none of the men at the Underground club struck her fancy. Only when a colleague from work turns up unexpectedly, Mary is shocked. She had no idea Sebastian was into the scene. Will they both learn more than they expected from each other?

I found this to be an interesting BDSM story. I was intrigued by the idea of two colleagues at work discovering there was a whole lot more to each other in their private lives. This short story delivered that in abundance. I enjoyed watching Mary and Sebastian discover more about each other and slowly build a strong, trusting relationship together. There is definitely a strong theme of BDSM, submission and following orders throughout the story, but I didn’t find any of the scenes to be over the top of pushing the envelope too hard. Readers who like some kink and spice to their erotic romance should find this fits the bill nicely.

The sex is spicy and explicitly written and I was pleased Mary and Sebastian pretty much jumped right into it. I found it believable – they knew each other platonically but quite well from work – and they were both in a BDSM sex club so I can’t imagine why they wouldn’t have become intimate as soon as they both expressed their interest in the other. Most of the story revolved around Mary and Sebastian’s blossoming relationship but I was pleased that Sebastian wasn’t just “any old Dom” and had his own mini plotline. It helped keep the story more three dimensional to me and retained my interest. While somewhat clichéd (the whole “ex who fraudulently cried abuse” thing) it did add another level of tension and conflict and overall I feel the author did a good job handling it.

Hot and kinky, this is a good story and one I feel has a solid plot to it. With complexities of sharing a workplace and a slightly deluded ex-wife in the mix I thought there’s plenty going on in the story and all the hot sex just makes the story even more enticing. A quick read this is one I can easily recommend.

Abused and expelled from her pack for being fat, Cassie has to find a new alpha, one that is willing to take her with her flaws. She has heard of Abel, an alpha with a bad temper, who was expelled from his original pack and created his own in some mysterious way. She can only hope he will accept her.

Every person Abel takes into his pack has some flaw that has been rejected by others, but he doesn’t see flaws, just beauty. When he first sees Cassie, he knows he wants her. He senses the darkness and the strength inside her, and he has no choice but to use every single means possible to make her crack, so that she can use the strength that now terrifies her. Only by pushing her is he able to get under her skin and unleash the power that Cassie holds.

But Abel’s needs come flooding him. He’s the alpha, meant to be strong. No woman has ever been able to handle him. Has he found that woman in Cassie? Can she handle his brand of control? His need to protect?

Cassie has heard that Abel is pretty much the last resort for shifters looking to join an alpha. After being expelled from her own pack for being too large, she’s determined to fit in and be accepted by Abel’s pack. She didn’t want to turn Feral and be hunted down. Far from turning her away, Abel is excited by the challenge Cassie presents him. Strong and an incredible fighter when pushed, she is everything and more Abel could hope for in a woman. Cassie and Abel clash deliciously as they try to come together, but surely only one of them can come out on top?

I found this to be an intense and emotional paranormal story. I liked that I didn’t feel as if I was missing big chunks of back-story – being #9 in a series is always a daunting place to start – but at no point did I feel like I needed to catch up or felt like things were going over my head. I was also a little worried by the title. “Bullied” had implications that I wasn’t sure I’d enjoy, but I was relieved to find that Abel wasn’t a bully in an abusive or macho-alpha-man type of way. He knew, firsthand, how difficult it was to be an outcast, to be weak, and so he insisted on all his pack being strong, being able to fight and defend themselves – no matter the repercussions. I still feel somewhat like “bullied” might have been a poor choice of word for the title, but I was very relieved that nothing abusive or over-the-top came through in the story.

I really enjoyed Cassie’s character. I found her complicated, interesting and quite relatable. I loved how she had enormous strength and power, but had just been cowed by her previous pack into not wanting to relish or admit any of it. And while I feel Abel’s tactics might not be to everyone’s taste, the author did an amazing job in my opinion with not just explaining exactly where Abel’s mind and intentions were, but carrying me willingly along for the ride. Because I understood exactly where Abel was coming from I could appreciate it.

There is plenty of steamy sex in the second half of this story – but I enjoyed the chemistry and attraction between Abel and Cassie from the start. Personally I enjoyed that there was a lot more plot than simply Abel and Cassie coming together and fitting together in the pack. This helped give the story a feeling of depth to me that I really enjoyed. The sex is slightly kinky – more about control than other BDSM elements – and while it might not be to everyone’s tastes I found it well written and not too over the top.

A different and interesting story I enjoyed both Abel and Cassie’s characters and really enjoyed the plot. A good book I can easily recommend.

I enjoyed this intense, sexy story. Both Emily and Matt have layers in them and I found it a pleasure to read and discover them. I did, however, feel the about-face from scorn and derision to heat and sexual chemistry was just a little fast for my liking. I think maybe had Matt not been quite so scornful in the beginning or so adamant that Emily wouldn’t fit in then I’d have found the quick turn around to intense heat snapping between them might have been a little more understandable. Aside from this though, I thoroughly enjoyed Emily and Matt clashing and explore that heat generated between them. With plenty of kink and passion, Emily and Matt explore their boundaries together and I’m sure this will appeal to plenty of erotic romance readers.

There are some very interesting secondary characters in the tattoo shop and I feel sure there could be more stories to be told here. I thoroughly enjoyed this new-to-me author and would happily pick up more in the future.

A sexy, steamy hot read this is a good story that I really enjoyed.

She ran without giving him the chance to explain what she saw. But there is no place for her to hide. Not from him. She is his, she belongs to him, and he’ll do whatever it takes to convince her of that. Even if it means holding her captive until she comes to her senses.

When Connie had seen her boyfriend shift into a werewolf, she’d discovered his secret and couldn’t deal with the lies, with knowing he wasn’t really a man but a monster. She had run – trying to hide herself from him. But Tor Vladmir was an excellent tracker, the best, and he’d found her, and he’s not willing to let his woman get away for a second time.

I really struggled to put my finger on why I had trouble getting into this story. I enjoyed Tor’s character, finding him confidant and seductive without crossing over into true arrogance. The premise was also really interesting to me – a quite realistic scenario of a woman running like crazy when faced with the reality that her handsome, sexy boyfriend is actually a werewolf. I can’t possibly fault the reaction because if I were faced with that situation, screaming and running would also be high on my agenda, too. And while it took me a while to warm to Connie’s character, there isn’t really anything tangible that I could fault her for. And yet a part of me rankled that she would so easily ditch her lover and run away, not even willing to entertain the notion of talking to him and finding out what, exactly, was going on. I didn’t like how hard Tor needed to work to convince Connie to simply return to London and her job, to try and give himself time and space to woo her back. It frustrated me that Connie wasn’t willing to even try and meet Tor part-way in understanding and reconnecting with him.

Again, I must stress I understand this is a completely logical and rational response from Connie, I get that. But I suppose I expect more from my romance heroines. I want them to have a tolerant and open mind – maybe even be curious about discovering the world was larger than they had imagined. I think I struggled to get into this story for the very reason I was intrigued by it and picked it out – I wanted to see a more reality-based storyline about a normal heroine finding out her partner turns furry once in a while.

I really enjoyed though watching Connie and Tor getting to know each other again. I loved learning about Tor’s history and how he came to be a shifter, and I was pleased to see how effectively and firmly he went about wooing Connie back. Although the sex scenes happen in the latter half of the story I found them hot and well-written and intense. Tor does hover around the line of creepiness in how far he’s willing to go to try and convince Connie to stay with him. Readers who are firmly against the possibility/threat of kidnapping or holding someone against their will might find this story shades a little too close to that line for comfort.

Personally, once Connie started meeting Tor part way I quite enjoyed this story and found it to be a very realistic storyline and steamily written.

Yasmin: I wasted my entire life cleaning after my father’s messes. I never expected to end up as collateral damage. Knowing Carver is the kingpin makes it worse, because I can’t deny what my body wants. My heart on the other hand, is mine to protect. I’ve been hurt plenty before but falling for the city’s biggest monster had never been part of the plan.

Carver was a hard man living a hard life – desperate and willing to do whatever he had to in order to survive, he never expected kindness or compassion from a complete stranger. But that’s what he found when Yasmin offered him help for no reason other than he needed it. Carver instantly knew she was his and no one else’s. Years later, when Yasmine is tired of picking up after her father and saving his bacon all the time, Carver has the chance to fulfill his promise and repay her kindness.

I found this to be an intense but really interesting and emotional story. While it’s clear that Carver is capable of great violence and is not a soft or easy man, he isn’t heartless or despicable as he – and his reputation – seem to think. Carver is certainly possessive and a little bit obsessed with Yas, but it’s equally clear to me that he genuinely cares about her and that small act of kindness she showed him those many years ago touched Carver and changed something deep inside him.

For me, personally, both Carver and Yas’ characters were complex, layered and deeply interesting. I’m not much of a fan of the harder plotlines a lot of stories have recently – MC clubs and assassins, kingpins etc – but I thoroughly enjoyed this story primarily because Carver was such an interesting and engrossing character. He and Yasmine are totally suited – Yas being a strong, resilient and brave woman, a good match for Caver and the life he’s made for himself. I also really appreciated that while it’s clear the world Carver inhabits is a violent one, much of the grittiness of that violence and aggression was in the background here – the romance and relationship building between Carver and Yas was front and centre and that greatly helped me enjoy the story and helped keep me reading eagerly.

While there isn’t a hint of further stories to come – I’d happily pick up a story about one of Carver’s bodyguards, Jake. I found him to easily be the most interesting secondary character introduced in the story and would find his story quite appealing to read. When a story leaves me wanting to read more, that’s always a good thing. I found this to be a good story with a solid plotline and interesting characters. Recommended.

Can DeAnne work herself out of this dilemma?

Written in the first person this short story came across to me as part-confessional, part-humorous re-telling of a crazy story from a bff. Light and frothy, my best advice would be to sit back, grab a bottle of wine, disconnect your brain and enjoy the ride. I found this story to be fast paced and somewhat over the top, but a lot of fun nevertheless. While I was a little disappointed that most of the story revolved around Quinn and DeAnne circling around each other the chemistry and sex between them both was smoking hot, and I did greatly enjoy the tiny sub-plot revolving around Quinn and the mis-conception that had grown between him and DeAnne.

I found both Quinn and DeAnne’s characters to be interesting and relatable. There was a small but delightfully crazy group of secondary characters hovering all around the wings of the wedding – and I’d happily read another short story about one of the other bridesmaids and whatever it was they all managed to get up to during this wedding.

Emric and Grace are drawn to each other with a magnetic force that surprises both of them. But before they can act on that attraction, they have to track down and destroy the grimoire before Emric’s ex can get her hands on it and unleash hell.

Emric couldn’t believe it when he’s turned into a house cat by an utterly crazy ex-girlfriend. All Grace wanted was an older cat from the pound who needed some love, care and a good home. When she took Emric home with her she had no idea what she was getting herself in for.

I found this to be a fun and lighthearted, almost tongue-in-cheek style of story. This is seriously one of those “disconnect your brain, sit back and enjoy the ride” books where I’ve found you need to leave a large chunk of logic and rational thought behind and just relish the story for what it is. Nevermind that no cat I’ve ever adopted from the pound has turned into a sexy sorcerer. Ignore the fact that some handsome stranger (who has sweet-talked himself into your home) has some utterly nutso story about being a cursed sorcerer with a crazy psycho witch ex-girlfriend or some family heirloom grimoire that you’re protecting from evil forces – just laugh, smile and roll with it.

I really did like Grace’s character – apart from the fact she opened her home, life and heart to a near-stranger with a really bizarre story, I found her mostly to be a modern and relatable character. Emric is also a typical handsome hero with a few problems and a strong libido. With the addition of a funny and interesting (albeit slightly nutty) plotline this is sure to be a happy and amusing caper-style of story that I feel should appeal to a lot of people. While the chemistry certainly sizzles between Grace and Emric from the moment he changes back to human form (naked in a tangle of curtains on Grace’s bedroom floor) the chemistry doesn’t become anything very physical until near the very end of the story. While part of me was pleased that the characterization and plot held center stage for most of the story it made this feel more of a spicy romance rather than an erotic one to me.

Readers looking for something heavily erotic or with a bunch of explicit sex might not find this short story satisfying, but those more interested in a good – and funny – plotline and deeper characters should find this spicy romance covers a lot of what they’re after. I really enjoyed it and would happily read more by this author.

But Alys isn’t interested in dating a man with “experience” and Simon’s had more than his fair share of women in the past. Can they work through their problems and find some common ground together?

I was a little surprised at how judgmental I found Alys’ character. While sure, it was refreshing to have the hero be the one (and not the heroine) given a bad rep for having slept around a whole bunch – I couldn’t help but think that his previous experience was in the past and certainly shouldn’t have cast a stain on his current actions. I was also a little dismayed when I realized that had the roles been reversed – ie had the hero refused to even go on a date with a heroine who had “played the field” in the past I’d have stopped reading there and then and not had the stomach to read on. So it didn’t sit well with me that Alys refused to even get to know the grown-up Simon on a first date simply because he had experience and had played the field.

Putting that whole issue of Alys and her strangely archaic desire to have a boyfriend to “learn by experience with her” aside – there was still a lot that I did enjoy about this story. Simon is not portrayed as some wronged hero, or some perfect man on a pedestal whom all women should fall at his feet. Simon made his own share of mistakes throughout the story and was as human as the rest of us. While I admit I never really warmed to Alys’ character I could come to appreciate where she was coming from. Unrealistic as her original expectations were, when she finally admits to herself how much she loves Simon and how much she wants him she’s willing to bend her own rules and actually try to get to know the poor guy before casting him aside as sullied goods.

Understandably considering Alys’ desire to wait, there’s only one brief sex scene throughout the whole story – but there is considerable chemistry between both Alys and Simon as they go out together and get to know each other. Readers looking for a highly erotic and explicit story probably won’t be satisfied with the brief sex scene here, but I think readers who are happy for there to be a build up and plenty of chemistry should find the heat level satisfying.

A very different style of story, this story was refreshing for a change of pace. While I don’t think it will appeal to all readers, it’s different enough that those looking for something left of center might find this worth a try.
