The pacing of this story was smooth, speeding up where necessary and still giving you time to process what you had read.

The ending of this book takes you to modern times, which was a pleasant surprise. I loved the ending and how it opens the next book. Still, I don’t know if I’ve quite finished with Lily, ‘Michael’, Moses, and Liam. This book is definitely one to keep, re-read, and enjoy all over again. Definitely recommended by me.

It takes place during a relatively short period of time, but it doesn’t feel rushed in any way.

But until Jamison realised he wanted to be friends – not just intimate – with Kelly I worried that this sexy story could have gone either way for me, personally.

There’s a mountain of chemistry and attraction between Jamison and Kelly, but I was pleasantly surprised that they took a good amount of time to get to know each other and became friendly before stepping over to be intimate together. I was pleased for this slower beginning – both Kelly and Jamison have baggage and issues that needed to be worked through and I feel that their relationship was a lot stronger – and more realistic – because of the time and effort they both spent learning about each other and spending time together outside the bedroom. The fact Kelly wasn’t in the BDSM lifestyle and she needed (I feel) to be eased into the kinkier aspects of Jamison’s life was addressed quite well and I thought was handled with care.

With that being said, the chemistry between Rhiannon and Jack was well done. I loved the author’s explanation of their backstories just as much as I did seeing how they reacted the first time they saw each other in this tale. Their mutual attraction was as instantaneous as it was believable. I haven’t read a lot of stories that managed to pull that off this smoothly, but this one did an excellent job of making me believe they’d move as quickly as they did.

One Hot Fairy Tale should be read by anyone who is in the mood for something spicy.

Told from Christi’s third-person point of view I missed having a glimpse into Lane’s brain – but didn’t feel the story lacked too badly from the reader not really getting to know how things worked from his perspective. While I did enjoy how hot and cold both Christi and Lane ran – it really made understanding them both a little complicated.

I was very slightly disappointed that Christi had a little mini-tantrum when Lane bumbled asking her to come to England for the holidays with him. That part of the scene felt just a little over the top to me and a bit much. I did really love Christi’s character, finding her exuberance – and her love of lingerie – something I could easily relate to. Overall for such a short story I felt there was a huge amount of relationship developed between them and enjoyed the author’s writing style.

So this largely let me relax and just enjoy the story for what it was – a hot, sexy romp where two people from different sides of the tracks met, had delicious sex and fell in love.

Readers looking for a sexy, happy and erotically taboo story should be pleased with this. I found it to be sizzling and just a little bit dirty, but overall quite optimistic and happy. A very non-traditional romance where the relationship between Elijah and Mona was front and center to everything. With a happy ending that I felt really rounded out their tale this was a great, quick and naughty read.

This is the second book in the series but can be read as a standalone. If a reader really wants to get to know this series and all the characters in it, I highly recommend reading them all.

I was introduced to Torch in the first book. My initial impression was his power. That power is on display in this story and in addition to that, I was able to see his softer side as well. I liked it.

When Isabella was first given to Torch, the expectation was she would return. She did not and he did not go after her. But this showed a more understanding Torch to me that was very much endearing–he’s not a beast, but a man. The author did wonderful job of showing the different sides of not just Torch, but Isabella as well.

Additionally, the chemistry between them was off the charts and seeing the relationship develop from a kind of insta-lust to something more was absolutely great. There were mentions of kidnapping and nude scenes of underage children but not more than that. This might be a trigger to some readers, so that’s a note to beware.

I would have loved to see what had happened to Isabella’s Dad and their story as well. The author kept me intrigued, so kudos for that.

If you’re looking for something quick and juicy, then this might be the story you’re looking for.

There was a plot hole involving Mira breaking a major rule that wasn’t explained well. Early on in the story, the audience was told that anyone would broke certain rules would face severe consequences for that action, so it came as a surprise to me to see what happened to this character after she stepped over that line and was discovered. I enjoyed everything else about the storyline, but not being entirely sure what happened here prevented me from giving the higher rating I would have otherwise chosen.

Not only did Mira and Evan have fantastic chemistry, the explanation given for why this was the case made a great deal of sense. I appreciated the fact that the author put so much thought into this part of their lives. It’s not something I’ve seen done very often in this genre, but it really made them come alive in my imagination. I’m looking forward to reading more from Ms. Douglas in large part because of how she handled this portion of the plot.

Physical interaction with an alien wasn’t on Alinta’s scientific experiment list of things-to-do-while visiting the planet known as RND82, but one look at Sam Grayson in a pair of silk thermals is all it takes to reprioritize her time out of the space lab.

A really short erotic story that gives a glimpse to what ight happen if aliens came to ‘experiment’ on humans.

Let me start by saying this is not a love story–but could have been. Alinta’s experiment was something to smile about. I loved the ending and I hope there is a continuation. Alinta’s education on sex and seduction, plus her eagerness to learn as much as possible were welcome surprises. I had expected her to be aloof and distant with her partner. I’m glad I was wrong.

There was not much of a climax or drama which was disappointing to a degree, but I did love Alinta’s need to absorb as much as possible. I also liked the ending–it wasn’t what I expected. That being said, this is a short erotic story that might be great for an afternoon read. Try it!
