A few weeks, even. But then it ends. Again. Badly. Always does. We’re like shooting stars. Speeding through the night sky until they collide. A shower of sparks and we’re gone again.”

“But it’s glorious while it lasts.” He kissed my neck, just below my ear, and I shivered in his arms. “And one of these days we’re going to find a way to make it work.”

“Liar,” I shot back. But it was Christmas. And I wanted to believe…

Mikael and Silvi had a complicated and steamy history – but when he is sent to evacuate her from a quickly deteriorating political situation Silvi has to admit Mikael had saved her; again. Every time the two of them get together the sparks fly – but they live such completely different lives, they never seem to be able to do more than steal a single night together before each going along their own trajectory. When they meet up again at the company Christmas party, can things finally change for the better?

I was surprised by just how much I really enjoyed this short story. Part espionage thriller, part sexy romance I found this story ticked a lot of good boxes for me. I liked the action/adventure in it and something about Mikael and Silvi’s fly-in-fly-out romance came across to me as dashing and sexy – not cold as I was scared it might. It’s clear to my mind from their chemistry and the fact they both want to change their relationship that their feeling are both genuine and deep – but life and circumstances keep conspiring to keep them apart.

There were a few twists in the story that I felt really made the whole thing worthwhile (and I’d totally read the hell out of a story about Silvi’s mother – now THERE is a lady who has a few wild tales to tell!) and the whole thing just left me feeling happy and good. While part of the story is set around Christmas-time there’s not much of a Christmassy feel to the story to my mind. Readers who are after a heavy-duty Christmas story mightn’t find this fit’s their bill – but for readers looking for a sexy, world-travelling, happy and vibrant story, I feel this will absolutely live up to their expectations.

Part spy-thriller part sexy romance I really enjoyed this short story.

What would you do if you found a six-foot portrait of your mate’s dead wife in a place of pride in the bedroom? What would you do if you only saw if AFTER you got jiggy with him? Soledad does what she is good at and runs, with Markon hot on her heels.

This was a great end to the series, with many of the loose ends wrapped up. Soledad and Markon’s relationship will always be tumultuous, but it made for excellent reading. I especially loved the part with Renata at the end, where she recounts what has happened in such a way as to bring you up to date with them all, whilst still being natural.

Still without any headings for who is ‘talking’, it nevertheless was easier in this book than it was in the previous. It was clearer, more obvious, almost from the start of each chapter. With plenty of action, intrigue, and steam, there was definitely enough to keep me turning the page.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series, and I am sad to see it come to an end, although I will be reading it again. Raisa Greywood is an author I have no hesitation in recommending.

Although I love these books, I found this one to be too disjointed for my liking. It jumps about from one scene to the next, with no clear sense of who is ‘speaking’ until you get further into the section. For me, it only really smoothed out as it built to the climax, and then afterwards with Markon.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series so far, and I’m glad I have read this one. It just wasn’t quite up to par for me, especially compared to the others. This IS a series though, and especially for this book, you really do need to read the others first. I still liked it, and would recommend it. Just make sure you read the others!

Lucas has just returned from a most unsatisfying vacation to find his department at the Wit and Wizardry Brewery in a shambles. Of troll ancestry, Lucas is a man of appalling disposition and astounding accounting skills. Lucas finds he’s not the only one working late. Cait, the newly hired head of marketing for the brewery, is there as well. Her overly-cheerful manner drives Lucas crazy. The last thing he needs is an optimistic, chatty, adorable pixie distracting him at work, but she can’t seem to understand that he wants to be left alone.

What neither realize is that earlier that evening, Lucas had washed down his dinner with a magical beer that will guide him toward his true love. The abominable accountant and the merry marketing manager are about to prove that opposites do attract and St. Patrick’s Day really is the best day to fall in love.

After being forced to take a week of his annual leave, Lucas returns to his desk annoyed and dismayed to find it a complete disaster. A troll, Lucas is not exactly one for fine speeches or flowering phrase – but he sure knows his work and how to jump into action when it’s needed. Cait – a pixie who works in the marketing department – is everything Lucas isn’t. Perpetually sunny and happy, Cait is the opposite to Lucas in every way. But when they both are working late on St. Patrick’s Day there’s more than a little leprechaun magic shimmering in the air.

I really enjoyed this magical short story. Set around St. Patrick’s Day there was a good amount of magic (love potions!) and magical creatures (trolls and pixies!) and of course beer. I can’t imagine anything more is needed to round out an awesome erotic story. I was particularly pleased that Cait and Lucas didn’t just jump right into bed together. As such complete opposites personality wise – and with no history of mooning over each other – I don’t feel it would have been very realistic even with a magic potion thrown into the equation to have them suddenly decide one night to become sexually intimate. So seeing them interact and being able to notice those small sparks of attraction it was good to get a feel for them both before the potion started its effect.

While there is plenty of chemistry – and a few steamy fantasies thrown in for good measure – there is only one proper, full-on sex scene in this short story. Speaking personally I was quite comfortable with this. I appreciated seeing Lucas and Cait interact together as this helped me see that there was relationship potential between them – not just a quick drunken St. Patrick’s Day shag. I could understand, though, if readers looking for a strongly erotic, heavily sexy story might find this a little light in the sex department. I thought the author balanced the relationship and connection between Lucas and Cait very well and felt there was plenty of chemistry and attraction – certainly enough to keep me eagerly turning the pages.

Quick and fun, this was a great short story.

With a job interview looming, Candice is nervous about what her future holds. She’s not sure she’s qualified to work in a brewery, even if the job is as an administrative assistant. Despite her doubts, she decides to give it her best.

His brewery experience helps Candice better understand what this new job might be like. Feeling a little more prepared, Candice walks into the interview the following day, only to discover the helpful stranger from the night before owns Winters Beer.

Allan Winters knows he shouldn’t hire Candice. He can’t deny the sexual attraction between them. She might not be the most qualified candidate, but she’s determined to learn and eager to please. Will hiring her be a fatal mistake, or the best decision he’s ever made?

Candice figured that going to a pub to madly cram for her job interview the following day at a brewery was a good idea. But she gets dejected as she realizes there’s simply too much information to push into her head in one evening. Luckily, Allan stops by her table and starts chatting to her. While Candice has no intention of flirting or being sidetracked, when Allan points out he’s helped hire a number of staff and worked many years ago in a brewery she figures that he can certainly help – and be easy on her eyes at the same time. When Allan turns up at the interview the following day, Candice doesn’t know whether to be outraged or humiliated. Can they make a go of things?

I found this to be an interesting but very predictably plotted story. Despite the smooth comfort of being able to guess certain major plot points before they occurred, I still found Candice’s character – and to a lesser extent Allan’s, too – to be interesting and imminently relatable. For me, personally, being able to symapthise with Candice’s struggle to spread her wings and find a new job for herself really was the saving grace of this story for me. The steamy sex helped sway me into enjoying this short story, too.

I was pleased that Allan and Candice didn’t simply jump into bed immediately with each other – it helped make the whole “boss and secretary crossing the ethical business line” thing feel a whole lot more believable and relatable to me. They each tried for quite some time to keep their relationship strictly professional. I was also pleased that while the author made it clear they were keeping things at a business level, much of the time between Candice getting hired and them deepening their relationship was jumped over off-screen. This kept the pace moving along well to my mind and helped not drag out the story too much.

With some interesting chemistry, steamy hot sex and a group of interesting secondary characters, this was a great short story that really delivered. I enjoyed watching Candice and Allan come together and feel plenty of readers will be interested in checking out what I assume are other stories in this series related to the group of Candice’s friends. I thought this was a solid short story.

Breezy Simmons was born into a ruthless motorcycle club—and now that she’s out, she’s never going to be that girl again. But when her past catches up with her, Breezy must go to Sea Haven to seek out the man who almost destroyed her. The man who chose his club over her and left her feeling used and alone.

As vice president of Torpedo Ink, Steele is ride or die for the brothers he lived through hell with. He never thought he’d find something as pure as his feelings for Breezy, or that keeping her safe would mean driving her away with cruel words that turned her love for him to ash.

Now, Steele won’t let her walk away twice. He’ll do whatever it takes to make Breezy his woman again—especially when he learns the real reason she came to him for help, and that the stakes are higher than he ever could have imagined…

I’m hooked. I mixed up Ms. Feehan’s, Torpedo Ink novels with her Shadow series and I ended up reading a book I didn’t expect. This is the second book in the series and I didn’t feel lost because I hadn’t read the first. When this novel was through putting me through an emotional wringer, I found I have to spend more money, not only on the previous book but the end of the last Sea Haven series where Torpedo Ink was introduced. Like I said, I’m hooked.

It offers effective treatment cialis prescription australia for male impotence or erectile dysfunction, weak erection and premature ejaculation.
You saw the page count of this book, right? I read it in one day. One day. Stayed up until 1 A.M. to do it and yes I was dog-tired the next day at work. It was worth it.

If a reader is used to the action/violence of the vampires with her Carpathians, the style in this series blows it through the roof. Fortunately, Ms. Feehan only shares enough for a reader to get that lump in the stomach feeling, the horror and uncomfortable twitching that went on with me when Steele shared with Breezy just what he went through growing up and being groomed to be the ultimate assassin in Russia, for Russia. Understand that it’s not gratuitous that the author put this stuff in there – a reader needs to know the whys and hows that created such a dysfunctional, messed up and anti-social anti-hero hero. Yes, anti-hero hero. Why? Because Steele and his MC family do things that are not nice, legal or normal and would have every legal agency after them should it be known just who and what they were. And yet, these men and women of Torpedo Ink need saving the most. They need strong women/partners who will stand up to them while giving them what they need to heal emotionally and mentally.

I didn’t list the subject matter that made this book fall into the erotic side of things because not all of it was ‘bedroom door wide open for everyone to experience, and hey! Let’s participate! never mind see’ – yes, the door is open, but it’s not solidly voyeuristic, or exhibitionist or classified as BDSM. It’s mentioned but not an active part of the sex between Steele and Breezy. It’s backdrop. Sort of. Steele is incredibly dominant and when Ms. Feehan described for a reader the oral part of Breezy with Steele’s …. steel, it was so graphic and clear, and yes well written, that for the first time, I could visualize just what actually happens when a heroine is mouthy with the hero. I’m not a fan of that stuff but I now have a clearer understanding of the process. It actually sounds like a lot of work! But if you love someone, and Breezy most definitely loves Steele, every dark and naughty, scary and strong part of him, it fits.

As for the villains of the novel, there are a lot, and every single one of them gets what they deserve. Again, it’s rather violent but the crimes the bad guys perpetrate on the innocent are so heinous, only people the caliber of Torpedo Ink can exact a fitting level of justice. I appreciated it greatly when the author had Breezy, and that means the reader too, leave the scene before it became too shocking and ghastly. However, a reader has no problem imagining the rest. That was enough for me.

Another thing I found fascinating was the terminology. I’m starting to see so many books out there that I think it’s become a genre – MC romances. MC is Motorcycle Club and I am so glad that the author included a glossary at the end. I figured things out mostly by inference, but it was nice to have a solid explanation. I just wish I’d known about the glossary beforehand.

There is no doubt that Christine Feehan is a talented and creative word artist, but she pushed the envelope farther than I expected. Yet, she is so professional that I will continue to read about this new world she’s created, even if it seems darker than her Dark series. I like the characters she’s introduced me to and I found the men and women of Torpedo Ink worth the effort of saving. It’s the ‘how’ of it that fascinates me. Breezy is perfect for Steele but that doesn’t mean it’s easy between them. It’s not. There’s a history and a lot of water under the bridge that they have to reconcile in order for them to have a future. They are successful and it’s their journey that engaged me, gripped me and had my emotions bouncing like a pogo stick. Very cool.

So, in conclusion, if a reader is into gritty, no apologies alpha men with dark, tragic pasts with the strength to face their demons and pulverize them, then I suggest really giving Vengeance Road a try. I totally recommend it.

One of the things I absolutely love about this series is that I never get bored or have a need to skip paragraphs and pages to get to the good parts. Every bit of the book is interesting and It keeps getting better and better with every book in the series.

The book could definitely be read as a standalone however each couple does appear in the other books of the series. This for does not hinder my ability to understand the story, thanks to the Authors.

Mara and Rocky has an instant chemistry. With every interaction between them. The relationship deepened and chemistry got better. Even though they had a bit of an age gap and Mara was a bit young she knew her mind and what she wanted. Rocky on the other hand became a bit of a recluse after his Marine days. They not just complimented each other but brought each other up.

There were multiple plots in there. And each one added to the story. It was not too complicated of a story. It had enough action, romance and all things naughty to keep me completely engaged.

There are tensions between Marcus and Tasha and the author does a great job of showing it. I liked how the story is drawn out to show how Tasha deals with her problems. Theo and Ruby are both in high school. Theo is the classic star football player, and Ruby is the intelligent, larger sized girl. Both of them are attracted to each other, but they each have some very wrong pre-conceived notions about the other. Can these two sweethearts come together?

I found this to be an interesting but very different style of story. As high school kids, Theo and Ruby are not the average heroine and hero in romances that I’m used to. Even though I think the author did everything right I just couldn’t manage to find it sexy when Theo and Ruby eventually became intimate with each other. I think there will definitely be readers who disagree with my feelings – and find their relationship and intimacy erotic. Despite my not getting on board with the erotic aspect of this story – there was still plenty about it that I really enjoyed.

Ruby and Theo were clearly attracted emotionally and not just physically to each other. They dated slowly and we as readers come along on the journey with them. No physical intimacy occurs until after half way through the book, so this in no way felt rushed or pushed to my mind. I didn’t for a second doubt that Ruby was one hundred percent on board with being intimate with her boyfriend. In every other respect I found this a lovely, slightly sweet romance about two kids enjoying and flourishing in their first serious romance together. There is also a little drama and conflict when Ruby’s long-absent dad makes a re-appearance in her life, but this didn’t overshadow the importance and value of Ruby and her blossoming relationship with Theo.

I also particularly loved how devoted Theo was to Ruby and how hard he worked to convince her not only that this wasn’t a passing fancy, but that he was serious and committed to his relationship with her. In many respects this really is exactly what the title promises – a sweet story about two kids who find each other in high school and try to build a future together. A good short story I feel this will be a hit with plenty of readers.

I loved the characters of Siobhan and Jackson. Both are strong-willed and have the confidence to navigate the business world. The relationship between them is complicated at first. It was funny when she left Jackson to feed Andy for the first time–because it ended in a mess. I like how Jackson finds himself growing, learning to take responsibility for a family. The plot is well developed with no major deviations. The love scenes are hot but still tastefully done. The only thing I wish could have been done is is having it longer, to watch their relationship grow over time.

If you want to see two people growing together under strange circumstances and learning to become one, this is a great book to try. With funny moments and sad moments, I wasn’t able to put this down.
