In a world where everyone has their place, Amaranth and Ash belong together.

Amaranth is a vasai, born with both male and female characteristics, and a soul that can reach out and touch the souls of others in order to heal them. But a vasai’s services are only for the Elai, and they demand sexual satisfaction as well as healing from their beautiful servants. Frustrated with these constraints, Amaranth wants to use his talent to help those who really need it.

Ash is a chel. Considered devoid of souls, chel are the lowest of the low. Not content with his lot, Ash steals from the middle class pel. One night he’s caught and brutally punished.

A soul in agony calls out to Amaranth from across the city. When he discovers that it belongs to a chel, it only confirms his worst suspicions about the lies of the Elai. Amaranth takes Ash home and heals him, an act of rebellion that could cost both their lives.

Amaranth’s compassion for Ash soon turns to passion. Ash treats him like a person, not an instrument of sexual gratification. Neither of them have much experience with mutual pleasure but together they embark on an exploration of intimacy and desire that carries them to the heights of passion and love — and shakes the very foundation of their world.

Jessica Freely takes us to a whole new world with her romance, Amaranth and Ash. Amaranth, an intersex vasai healer, is instantly a character I felt curious about and drawn to. Amaranth’s world rocked when he reaches out to help a soul in need of healing, one belonging to Ash, a chel. Everything he knows about his world is shattered because he has been told up until now that chels have no souls. When Kamagra is completely absorbed, it prevents PDE5 and hence relaxes the muscles to allow natural erection. cheap viagra pill pop over to these guys There are many online prescription viagra but if you are looking for a diet that promotes good heart health, it should be packed full with fish, fruits, and vegetables. When I first read Amaranth was a character with both male and female gentalia, I was curious about a romance and the sex between the two main characters. This wasn’t just a romance but a heartfelt tale of healing after a brutal attack on Ash (there is a mention of rape later on but the act isn’t shown). The characters fall deeply in love, even though them being together is forbidden. When Ash realizes the two of them can’t be together because of their differences he leaves, only to have Amaranth chase after him when Amaranth realizes Ash is his one and only love.

After a slow start, this book dug into my soul with a love I felt jumping off the pages. At times I wanted to yell at Ash for being so stupid and I wanted to hold Amaranth as his heart broke when Ash left. That was how real the characters seemed to me. At the beginning of the novel, there is a foreword explaining the intersex words “sie” and “hir” but it confused me before and it still confuses me now. Amaranth identifies as a male, that was enough for me. The sex scenes were very well written but Ash is a man and Amaranth does have male and female bits. So I can’t put it in the either the gay or heterosexual category.

In a nutshell, this isn’t your mother’s romance novel. Jessica Freely has created two beautiful characters that live on in my heart. Amaranth and Ash have an unusual love that left me wishing for more from this universe. This book was a different take on your average romance, even though it gave me the happily ever after I was hoping for.

Max knows his family and friends aren’t sure what to make of his moods and impulses. But he’s in college now and ready to show them he’s grown up and ready to make mature choices. At least he’s ready for a serious relationship and almost ready to tell his family he’s gay. He could use a little help, though.

With his loving big brother gone forever, who is left to ask for help? Daniel Rocco, his brother’s best friend and his longtime crush, of course. Daniel is solid and reliable–the opposite of Max. But for some reason, Daniel seems terrified of what Max might do next.

Before coming out to his parents, Max is on a mission to get his sexy crush. Unfortunately said crush and object of affection, Daniel, is not going along with the plan. Daniel thinks Max is too young and comes with too many family complications. It wasn’t that long ago that Daniel was inseparable from his best friend and Max’s older brother, Matt. Max decides to take charge though, and convince Daniel that while he may be young, he knows a thing or two about pleasing a hot guy.

Maxxed Out is an amusing coming-of-age story that focuses on hot sex and easy companionship. This is part of the Coming Out series from Loose Id and has Max telling his parents he’s gay. The story is decent, though it’s somewhat empty. There are a lot of issues hinted at but never fully explained. The most important thing to consider is the payment method that the website viagra sale mastercard relies on. Impotence, as the problem purchased that viagra properien is often referred to, is shaped like a diamond. Some of these include Max’s older brother, Matt, who died several years ago and obviously caused unresolved issues with Daniel. There are a few other loose ends such as how the couple is going to work once together with an obvious age difference and Max’s schooling.

What works though is the fun dynamic between Max and Daniel. Both characters are interesting to read and their connection is fiery. Daniel is trying to convince himself he’s not attracted to Max while an aggressive Max refuses to take no for an answer. This results in some inventive and entertaining sex scenes, which are the best part of the book. The characters feel somewhat flimsy as they stay in predefined, obvious roles. Yet this isn’t likely to turn any readers off that want a light, easy, and pretty hot read.

The writing is first person and alternating point of view. The perspective hops between Max and Daniel’s head without break so not everyone will appreciate this slightly chaotic shift in POV. However it’s usually easy to tell whose head you ended up in and the sex is the goal. The two men fall in love very easily but it’s pretty romantic. Perhaps not a satisfying meal but as an appetizer, this novella would please.

Kevin experiences some shame and guilt over his actions but he always knows what he wants out of life. He just has to find the courage to go for it.

Chris is a good character, more simplistic than Kevin. He’s a good brother and the scenes with his younger brother are funny and heart warming. Chris doesn’t have the same angst and concern that Kevin goes through but he has some trepidation over making a commitment. The novella is too short to give a solid happy ending but it’s definitely happy for now with the hope for more in the future. Their relationship is fun, sexy, and filled with a good chemistry that is likely to carry them on.

The easy writing and good pace keep the novella very quick and light to read. The few angst scenes are handled with a light touch so this isn’t a heavy read. Instead it’s a nice addition to the coming out series and works well for fans of the author.

Taza, a sea horse, sole male offspring of the Coushrin king and heir to the throne, really doesn’t like his life. For one thing, two crazy female sea horses are vying to impregnate him and become the next queen of the Coushrin dynasty because sea horses mate for life. He doesn’t want to be just a breeder while his wife rules the seas. But if being the prey and intended brood-stallion of two insane females isn’t bad enough, Taza’s also being chased by a human who’s determined to attain immortality by eating him. Stir fried, easy on the garlic.

What does he do? Flees to the a vampire bar on the surfaceworld, where he meets Astika, a Hindu Naga god. Astika’s been dispatched on a fool’s errand, because his advice to his uncle and grandfather’s harems is causing mayhem in the kingdom. He wasn’t supposed to meet a sea horse prince, save his life, and end up mated in the process. But that’s exactly what happens.

Because when Astika saves his life from the human who might just be crazier than the sea horses chasing him, Taza does the only smart thing and pledges himself to the Naga. For life. Since they’re stuck with each other, Astika eventually decides he might as well see what it’s like with a sea horse. Together, out of the wildest circumstances imaginable, the two lovers find and build Absolute Perfection.

What happens when a sea horse prince mates with a Naga prince? Well, colorful hair and multiple penises is just the start. Sea Horse Taza is on the run from his overbearing family and falls into the hands of a crazy man bent on eating him. Finally getting away from the man wielding garlic, oil, and salt, Taza literally runs into Astika, heir to the Naga throne. Although Astika didn’t want a mate, he’s stuck with Taza and the two slowly find they just may be each other’s perfect match.

Absolute Perfection is a twist on shape shifter stories. Neither of the two are shape shifters so much as they have a primary form – a snake in Astika’s case – and a secondary, more human looking form. The main plot consists of the two meeting then a typical push/pull back and forth until they finally come to an understanding and fall in love. There is a subplot about stalkers coming after Taza, but this is very loose and not incorporated well. The main thrust is simply the two falling in love and having a lot of sex.

The characters come across pretty underdeveloped but then again the story itself is outrageous. The best way to approach this book is to read it with a sense of whimsy and a desire for simple entertainment. If you do, then the moments of humor combined with the exaggerated actions and dialogue are much more fun. Once you realize the story is over the top in every conceivable way, then it’s more enjoyable to just have fun with it. The writing is occasionally uneven and contains lengthy internal monologues that try to convey all the world building that would have been more appropriate in other places.

Overall, though, this is a decent story once you can give in to the outrageous nature of the writing and characters. Then their tendency to shout, demand, and exclaim every piece of dialogue makes more sense. The vibrant colors offered and few bits of whimsical humor make this something different and worth reading for that alone.

Ten years and many boyfriends later, Cassidy Winters finally returns to the ancestral home of his late grandmother, Sadie Hart, despite the best efforts of his father to prevent it. Cassidy’s plans of a quiet, seaside ceremony to wish a final farewell to Sadie quickly unravel. Interruptions run roughshod, beginning with Neil, who walks out of the ocean and straight into Cassidy’s bed. The dominos topple one by one when the little dog he rescues from the hounds of hell brings him to Ben, the hunky vet who rescues Cassidy right back. News of his arrival spreads faster than Cassidy’s legs, bringing his boyhood friend and first love Nate Sommers to his doorstep — leaving Cassidy spiraling into a multi-layered love snafu. As if the island wasn’t getting crowded enough for Cassidy’s good taste and bad decisions, best friends Ollie and Spencer arrive in time to witness the uninvited return of Cassidy’s most recent ex, Teddy, who’s refusing to stay dumped.

Fists fly and all hell breaks loose amid mojitos and martinis while Cassidy finds himself planning a huge party to celebrate Sadie’s life. Accusations are aimed as arguments and libidos boil over, but even through the chaos Cassidy knows exactly who he wants. While he’s certainly willing, he isn’t sure if he’s ready or able for love and life at Pipers Point.

Don’t judge a book by its blurb – you may miss something truly delightful. I’ll admit I hesitated over this read because the publisher’s blurb made the main character sound a bit self-absorbed and shallow, and as if the story would consist merely of him jumping from bed to bed. I found myself, at first, pleasantly surprised by my mistake and then helplessly drawn in as the story unfolded.

Cassidy suffers from commitment issues, it’s true, but he’s so much more than a shallow lothario. From unsupportive, distant (sometimes downright nasty) parents, to his difficulties feeling comfortable in his own skin, to his inability to admit there was only one man he ever truly loved, Cassidy has spent his young adult life in desperate denial. He takes lovers with the understanding that it’s temporary, telling himself that nothing can be permanent. But he’s truly a goodhearted, generous soul and even as he breaks up with his lovers, he can’t quite kick them to the curb – thus his interesting collection of friends who are also ex’s.

While the story has a number of funny moments, there’s a note of melancholy weaving through it. Cassidy hasn’t come to Piper’s Point on vacation; he’s come to return his grandmother’s ashes to her home. It’s through Cassidy’s love for his grandmother, and her love for the island, that we’re allowed to see the depth and breadth of the emotions involved. There’s nothing shallow about his struggles, and his pain becomes very real to us. The author chose to tell the entire story through Cassidy’s point of view, an interesting choice, but one that brings us close enough to him to hear his heartbeat, and which allows the misunderstandings with his old love, Nate, a more believable dimension than if we had been allowed inside Nate’s head.

The locale, this small-town island, has a certain magic to it and Mr. Day never info-dumps a description of it at his reader, but allows us to absorb the flavor and taste of it slowly, as one would on an actual visit. Sadie, Cassidy’s deceased grandmother, and her house, are no mere plot points. They are characters all their own, in the best sense of the word.

After my first, wrongheaded impressions had been swiftly shattered, I found it amusing that Cassidy and Nate spend most of the novel not having sex. Quite honestly, the not having sex and almost having sex was hotter and more squirm-inducing than most sex-filled novels I’ve read. The ultimate message, that it’s never too late if you can muster the courage necessary, strikes a universal chord. With enough light moments to keep the gloom at bay, and enough serious, often heartrending moments to engage the emotions fully, this is a romance for all seasons, a timeless story that proves acceptance has nothing to do with generation or status.

Kael Saunders loves to dominate handsome, masculine men like himself. Being in charge is his way of life whether it be in his work with the Secret Intelligence service, his personal life, or in the dungeon. The last thing he expects when he is out on a hit is to fall in love with Angel, an eighteen-year-old boy desperate for the love and guidance of a Daddy. Yet Angel also has a passion for being spanked and restrained. Two very different men find love in a world of skilled assassins, Bosnian terrorists, and dungeon play.

A cold blooded assassin meets pretty collateral damage he just can’t kill. Angel is supposed to be dead. When assassin Kael finds him hiding in the house of the target, Kael knows he’s supposed to kill Angel as one of the occasional innocent bystanders that get caught up in the deadly spy game. Unfortunately for Kael, something about Angel trips his protective urges and he just can’t kill the teenager. Instead, Kael takes Angel with him but their newfound relationship is anything but easy.

Angel and The Assassin is a heavy BDSM book with some unflattering characterizations and quirks that aren’t going to be for all readers. Kael is a hard core BDSM top and Angel is a natural submissive. Angel comes across pretty bratty though with his tantrums, crying fits, jealous snarks, and disobedience. This is offset with Angel’s “good boy” behavior when he’s trying very hard to be the perfect slave for Kael. Angel drifts between the two often and seemingly at random so the majority of the book Kael is teaching and training Angel how to meet Kael’s needs. Angel’s behavior is inconsistent and very immature and so not all readers will like him. For his part, Kael is more consistent throughout the book as the cold assassin. He kills several people and has sex with a lot as well. He’s not monogamous to Angel at the start although he becomes very committed to the relationship at the end of the book. The Daddy/little boy kink is popular in BDSM but sits a little too awkwardly in the context of the book. Angel is so bratty and immature that the Daddy references feel more psychological than just sexual, which caused some unease while reading. During Angel’s more mature, quiet moments the sexual tension feels more natural but when he’s having a public temper tantrum, yelling at his “Daddy” it’s not a very sexual scene and thus the dynamic breaks down.

The kinks didn’t bother me as much as they felt awkward. Angel is a virgin at the start of the novel but soon becomes involved in very advanced BDSM practices that are way over his head. At the same time I kind of liked Kael and his wild eyed frustration. Watching such a loner become entangled in relationships almost against his will is amusing and entertaining. He truly loves Angel and their connection is strong. The ending is pretty abrupt which makes me wonder if there’s a sequel coming. The nature of the story means that not all readers will be comfortable with this but the more hard core BDSM fans are likely to forgive the issues and enjoy the tale anyway.

Caught by Surprise is a fun, frothy story. It’s filled with a lot of sex, some mild tension, and a plot that isn’t as strong as it could be. The story mostly consists of Jason and Noah having sex, Noah being confused, and then working things out while there is a rather random subplot about their work with the FBI as an excuse to keep the story going and have more sex. Despite that, it almost doesn’t matter since the writing is fun, light, and breezy. This is a good story when you want something light and easy to read.

The characters are brought to life by the author, but feel too similar. Quite often I forgot whose point of view we were supposedly following since the two main men feel so close in thoughts and actions. Noah has more reservations about being openly gay but he gets over those issues pretty quickly. The work subplot is very odd and seems only thrown in so the resolution and happy ending can be prolonged. I didn’t really mind because the characters are fun and the sex scenes are hot.

There are some really good moments such as Noah with his younger brother and the emotional connection between Noah and Jason. I wish the story hadn’t concentrated on being so light since there was so much potential for it to be more intense and interesting. As it was, this is a decent but fluffy piece that offers some very good, hot sex scenes and likable characters. It’s not the kind of story that lingers but I’m certain you’ll still enjoy reading it a lot.

“What are you doing for the next… oh, thirty years or so?” What if someone twice your age asked you this? What if someone twice your age asked you this on the first night you met them? Could you trust it?

Inside, outside, against the wall, and even occasionally on the bed. But Barnabas starts to wonder if the sex is a distraction from something more important, something his English language challenged new lover isn’t saying. When the truth is finally revealed, the betrayal cuts deep, and for Barnabas, it may be too little, too late.

Silence never felt so sweet. When local artist and somewhat reclusive Barnabas finds a stranger washed up on the shore during a terrible storm, he doesn’t think of anything but saving the man. Later he realizes his mysterious find can’t speak at all, but that doesn’t stop the two from finding a common language in touch. Sparks fly and Barnabas realizes he has entire conversations with the stranger through touch, sight, and emotion. But Barnabas’ lover is not simply human and the discovery throws Barnabas into a whirlwind of emotion and questions what is the right thing to do.

Tease is an interesting story in that one of the characters, later nicknamed Tease, can’t speak so there is no dialogue between the two. Thus the story is told entirely from Barnabas’ third person perspective. Barnabas believes he can understand what Tease is trying to tell him through his eyes and his touch. This is pretty questionable since Barnabas is quite often ignorant of what Tease is trying to say and just makes up what he wants to believe. The emotion between the two is certainly there and they have quite a lot of sex. The story is a novella but there are considerable amounts of sex scenes involved. The connection is initially through sex but later Barnabas struggles with what to do about his lover’s true nature. Barnabas is not always a nice guy and he fears being alone so much he considers forcing Tease to stay with him. This isn’t just a passing whim either as Barnabas goes through periods of extreme selfishness, petulance, sulking, and petty revenge. As I said, he’s not always a likable character in many ways. The final resolution is not exactly what I thought would happen either so it’s nice that the tension is kept until the end.

Overall this succeeds, in that it’s a very different story when one of the main characters doesn’t speak at all. This forces the other to speak for him and often in error. Also this makes the story very internal with Barnabas frequently musing, and a lot of sex. In a wealth of paranormal stories, this certainly stands out as something entirely different and unique and thus worth reading. It’s got a few bumps but the story takes chances and has some really good ideas.

A sweet, soothing smell which can be related to the sweet side of the characters: the moor so polite and lonely it made my heart ache; lonely and sad Treasa, only looking for acceptance.

On the other hand, a rose has thorns. They’re beautiful, yet dangerous, just like both the protagonists. He is a mercenary, she is a witch. They both can do horrible harm to one another: through Treasa’s hard headedness and manipulation, and the Moor’s physical authority.

The truth is I was surprised with the depths to which the author took the erotic elements in the tale, (I’d never read anything on fisting). Yet, through this entire wild ride, the love between the characters is firm; it’s always something underlying through every act, and permeating the whole novel. To achieve all this, the author, Ms. Trent flourished the book with excellent descriptions which brought vivid images to my mind. The words, with a rhythm and cadence of their own made me unable to stop reading. The plot of the story flows easily accompanied with an array of conflicting emotions: tension, love, laughter, tears, hate, loneliness…

No matter how you look upon it, Rose should be picked up and read or smelled.
