There’s no real reason for the two to be apart and it’s clear their passion and emotion will win.

By Your Side is sure to be a hit with fans of the author and those readers that enjoy a more lyrical edge to their romance. Although contemporary, this story reads as if from another time with its emphasis on musical description and sparse descriptions. What a great book this was! I couldn’t take my eyes from the screen. Each character sucked me in and had me wanting more. I loved how loyal Jesse is to his younger brother and how well he takes care of Davy. And the love he shares with Kyle is just phenomenal.

Although the story is solid it just needed some “tightening” on occasion.

Ms. Reid’s Rent-a-Husband concept really worked. I definitely could see a sequel with this concept. The sexual tension between Tasha and Crete was fun. If you’re looking for a book with a strong hero, smart heroine, evil villain, great sex, and good suspense, try Rent-a-Husband, Inc.

The two make a wonderful couple. Not only do the two have to deal with their feelings but it also seems that someone is out to hurt Kallie. When the chips are down we see that they each can count on each other to stand by them.

Cherise Sinclair does a wonderful job of combining just the right amount of suspense into this great story. I enjoyed the way Jake and Kallie got to not only share their pasts but their futures as well. It was nice to see how patient Jake was with introducing Kallie to his world of Dominance and how open Kallie was to it.

This was a beautiful read that was well written and should not be missed. I know that I will certainly be on the look out for more from this author in the future.

Both men change quite a bit from the beginning of the novel to the end so watching that change happen and why is absorbing. Finn and Greg take their relationship slow, first dating, then kissing, sometimes touching. Nothing too much too soon and this can sometimes be a little slow. Mostly this is due to the break neck pace that most romance relationships happen in fiction so the change of pace may throw some readers off. But those that can appreciate the build up with good tension won’t be disappointed.

Back to Normal is a well written romance. There are good characters, wonderful chemistry, and a host of family members that make you wish your family was that eccentric and adorable. Even Aunt Coco is a great addition and who knew an older woman in the head of a young, handsome gay man could be so entertaining. Anyone looking for a satisfying romance and doesn’t mind a slower pace to happiness should definitely pick this up.

Whenever I want a sexy erotic romance, I know that author Kim Knox will deliver. Her newest, Touch of a Dragon, is a creation of a different sort. With a sexy hero, a hard-as-nails heroine, and an intricate plot, fans are sure to finish this story entertained. Live or die? Not a difficult choice until you learn your savior isn’t who he appears to be. Blake offers cryptic replies when Leona searches for answers. All she knows is that things are not as she thinks they are, and with danger lurking around every corner, she isn’t sure who she can trust.

While a new take in the genre, I found there was a lot left unexplained in Touch of a Dragon. Since the story is written in a first person narrative, it works somewhat as the reader learns things along with the heroine. The atmosphere lends realism to the grittiness of the material, which is something I always enjoy when reading darker erotic romance.

She denies criminal activity and he wants to believe, but all the evidence is against her. His instincts tell him Annie is innocent, so he takes a new complication in her life as a chance to keep her close — and safe from the danger that threatens her.

But Annie won’t let him take control of her life. She wants to prove her innocence, even at the expense of the man who took everything she had to give, and came back for more.

Annie never thought wearing new shoes to an art gallery with slippery floors would lead to finding the love of her life, but it did.

Vin and Annie meet because they both love the same painting. When Annie backs up to get a better view she slips and accidentally knocks over visually impaired Vin. Their attraction is instant and electric. Their connection is breathtaking. The sex is hot and wonderfully detailed. I loved the distinction Ms. Connolly made between making love and sex. Both were stimulating.

Then first twist hits when Vin finds out Annie is one of the owners of the company his company was thinking of acquiring. Thinking that she is the one who bankrupted her own company, he leaves her. When Annie and Vin are forced back together their relationship takes a dark turn. They still can’t resist each other, but neither trusts the other. Vin is a complex character. At the beginning of the book he could lose his eyesight. You really fall in love with his inner monologue of how his life could still be complete with Annie in it even if he goes blind. He’s your dream guy. When you see him with his family, you can’t help but love him a little more. Even though you’ve grown to love him as he falls in love with Annie, all I can say is after the twist he becomes a jerk. I will say he is redeemed at the end, but the jerk period lasted too long for my liking. If he had just communicated some of his motivations with Annie, much pain (both Annie’s and mine) would have been spared.

Annie is a beautiful character. She’s a smart, creative, and driven woman. She wasn’t looking for a romance with Vin, but didn’t pass up providence. When the first twist happens, she does the right thing. When she gets back together with Vin you know she still loves him and is doing it for the right reasons. Yet while Vin is a jerk during this time, I’d say Annie turns into a bit of a doormat. She had a startup business with her brother that she puts aside so her brother can be happy. Vin basically leaves her alone except when he needs sex. When the second twist happens, all I could say think was “You go girl!”

The start of this romance was wonderful and so was the end. The middle part between the two twists just took too long. I couldn’t understand how Annie and Vin fell apart so badly and couldn’t trust each. Vin’s family provided great support to the couple. I’d really love to read a story about Vin’s sister Yolanda.

No matter what part of the story you were reading, though, Annie and Vin always sizzled.
