Ed Maurer has bounced back, more or less, from the neck injury that permanently benched his semi-pro football career, but every time he turns around, dance instructor Laurie Parker is in his way. But when a bargain lands him as an assistant in Laurie’s ballroom dancing class, everything changes.

As Laurie and Ed lose themselves in dance, their lives continue to spin around them: Ed’s injury makes it clear he’s nowhere near recovery, Laurie feels the pressure by friends and family to perform once more, and the community center that has become such an important part of both their worlds threatens to close. Alone, they haven’t had the strength or spirit to face what life has hurled at them. But as the turns of their personal paths lead them time and again to one another, Ed and Laurie begin to think that if they dance this dance together, they might be able to succeed.

It’s not always easy to take a second chance. Both Ed and Laurie have experienced crushing defeats. Ed is still reeling from an injury that ended his semi-pro football career and landed him in a hated job behind a desk. Laurie gave up a very successful and high profile dance career after a disastrous competition. When they first meet, the two difficult and stubborn men create sparks of the wrong kind. But they soon realize those sparks could be something else entirely. Yet it’s not always easy to reach for what you want and to try again after being burned.

Dance with Me is a very sweet romance about taking a second chance when it’s offered. Both characters have lost a lot and gone through really tough emotional and physical trials leaving them scarred and stubborn. They’re not the easiest couple and their road to happiness is punctuated by stubborn fits and irrational bouts of anger. Sexual Impotence refers to the hindered capacity of a male to sildenafil professional reach or maintain a penis erection for adequate time to engage in sexual intercourse. In recent survey, there were increasing cases wherein the young adult prescription cialis cost were getting affected by ED issues due to lack of sexual performance. Neither man is perfect and, in fact more accurately, both are deeply flawed. It’s the flaws that should appeal to readers in this kind of story. The tension is entirely internal and thus both men spend quite a bit of time in their head analyzing every last detail. Some of this slows the pace of the story considerably and creates a sweet but difficult pairing between the men.

The story is well written, as all of the author’s novels are, and thus fans should particularly enjoy this offering. The characters are definitely not flat or cookie cutter but honest and very real. They’re in some ways almost too real as they fight, struggle, misunderstand, and have all the same fears, jealousies, issues, and irrational fits of stubborn anger that most people do. This makes the story feel more real but also somewhat frustrating. I sometimes wanted the men to be better than they were, not perfect by any means, but not so stubborn and silent. Also the sweet nature of their sex scene lends to the pace and tone of the story but made them somewhat less interesting for me as a reader.

Dance with Me is a well-written story about two men starting over and getting a second chance. The ending is a bit melodramatic and predictable but the story is definitely better than that. The men have angst, drama, love, anger, fear, and finally happiness.

Fitz Gaffney finally has some breathing room. His mother’s out of town, his piano teachers have backed off, and he gets to spend time at a school where he only has to be adequate for an entire year before all his responsibilities comes crashing back in again. With this freedom comes the realization that he’s lonely, but his first attempt at dating goes horribly awry.

Fitz’s new — but possibly imaginary — friends, Julian and Serge, want to help him find happiness. His used-to-be-stepbrother Ari Scheffield wants to help him gain confidence and a little much-needed cool. His housekeeper Marguerite wants to keep fowl in the back yard for butchering because duck confit is expensive and she has pillows to re-stuff. And his possible new boyfriend Garrett wants to prove he didn’t mean for their first date to end with Fitz lying unconscious in a dumpster.

All Fitz wants is someone who cares about him, and suddenly there seems to be a glut. How’s a shy guy to know what’s real when he’s confronted by crazy ghosts, a less than truthful boyfriend, and relatives with hidden motives? It’s a Rhapsody For Piano And Ghost.

Sometimes we all need a little push, even if it’s from a ghost. Fitz is a brilliant pianist but he’s not very socially sophisticated. In fact he has no friends at his new performing arts school and with his erstwhile mom in Europe, he jumps at the first young man to show him some attention. Unfortunately that attention lands Fitz in a dumpster where he’s fished out by two very energetic and talkative ghosts. Julian and Serge are determined to help Fitz in the minefield of his life in very unusual ways. If only Fitz could see the real life man in Ari as well.

Rhapsody for Piano and Ghost is an entertaining romp when Fitz’s naïve and somewhat overly innocent world collides with real men and their good or bad intentions. The story is very funny and pretty engaging as socially awkward Fitz suddenly has two suitors in his sheltered life. The first is Garrett, a school classmate that is obviously bad news. Everyone can see it but Fitz, who’s determined to be a loyal friend and boyfriend. In olden days, men were believed cialis prescription australia to be the potential reason from ED preceding in heart problems. Most people that have high blood pressure are overweight to tadalafil 100mg begin with; therefore physical activity is the most common sexual dysfunction faced by men. The other potential love interest is Ari, Fitz’s ex-step brother and full time rescuer. The love triangle is fun to watch as Fitz fumbles and stumbles between the men with a lot of naïve assumptions and hopes. Some of this can be frustrating as it drags on a bit too long and much too obvious for the average reader.

What makes the story really quite fun to read are the ghosts – Julian and Serge. Julian fishes Fitz out of the dumpster by trying to steal his jacket. This sets the stage for two very loving but interfering ghosts to play havoc with Fitz’s life. All the while cooking fabulous meals of course. The ghosts are incredibly fun, very romantic, tragic, beautiful, and simply entertaining. They’re easily my favorite part of the story and really loved whenever they appeared in a scene. Their story doesn’t always make sense, either their backstory or how they came to be where/what they are, but at the same time they’re so engaging I didn’t care.

The writing is very typical of this author and fans of the author’s work are likely going to want to read this. It’s fun, light, entertaining and only slightly frustrating. Fitz tested my patience more than once but the writing and sheer fun of the ghosts, not to mention pretty romantic intentions of Ari help make up for those issues and everything else aside, I think Julian and Serge were absolutely worth reading.

When fun-loving, social butterfly Calvin Reece moves in with the cute but shy Tom Holden, he doesn’t expect anything to come of it but friendship. In fact, his plan is to give Tom a makeover and find him a boyfriend, because Tom’s such a nice guy it’s just not right that he’s alone. As Cal gets to know Tom better, he learns that under the ill-fitting clothes there’s a gorgeous body and a kind, generous heart, and Cal starts to feel something new…

What do they have in common? Only that they’ve never been in love. But that may all be about to change.

What is confirmed bachelor Cal to do when he meets the one man that could flip his whole world upside down and inside out? With a little bit of patience and a whole lot of luck maybe Cal can find out what all his friends are talking about when it comes to finding the one.

Accidentally in Love was truly a beautiful love story. It shows the gradual build of a relationship between two men who are such polar opposites it isn’t even funny. When pairing up a man who doesn’t believe in love and one who thinks he’s unlovable, the misunderstandings and over thinking come out in full force.

Cal is a photographer who jets sets around the world for his job. Like his job, his love life is the same. A little fun here, a little fun there, but when the deed is done he can’t get away fast enough. He’s not a man looking for love or anything of a relationship that lasts longer than a quick roll in the hay. Cal comes to find out you have to work hard for the things you want most in life, and getting Tom is turning out to be his biggest challenge yet.

Tom is a shy guy. He displays the typical behavior of a person picked on and put down throughout his life. So it’s only natural for him to question Cal’s feelings with everything that happens between them. At times I wanted to shake Tom because he is his own worst enemy. His self-confidence is so low it is just heart wrenching that he thinks he is so not worthy of anyone’s love or affection.

This story has its ups and downs but the outcome is so worth it in the end. It’s a good mix of the ugly duckling and the bad boy turned good. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a longer read with a lot of; “what were they thinking?” And, how cute two people can be together.

This story left me with a smile on my face and I feel lucky to have gotten to read it.

He has been traded three times in four years, and can’t seem to catch a ball that has been tossed to him by a five year old. He knows his days are numbered. Derek has to prove himself to the new coaches before the regular season begins, one month and counting.

The secondary characters are the absolute treasures of the story. You want to smack and laugh at Tyler, the cocky overconfident quarterback. Mitch is the protective caveman of a brother, who can’t seem to see his sister as a grown woman. And Ryan, an amazing young man, is the heart and soul of the story. He captures and almost steals the whole book. He is a courageous, talented individual who crept into my heart and the cast of Fourth and Goal.

Ms. Davenport did a fantastic job on this story. Fourth and Goal is a well written sports romance novel. She told a convincing story of a woman who knows and loves the game, without alienating the readers who know nothing of the sport. With sultry and inventive sex scenes, heart breaking sorrow, nail biting football plays and a cast that is captivating and engaging, Fourth and Goal is a winner!

Divorced from a sexless marriage, he feels that coming out of the closet would destroy his life and, worse, hurt his parents whom he deeply loves. He plans on being alone for the rest of his life, but he doesn’t count on meeting Wesley Grayson.

Wesley Grayson is a tall, handsome young artist and the son of a famous rock star. The moment he lays eyes on Elijah, he knows the two of them are destined to be together. Wesley’s developing psychic powers leave him so drawn to the handsome ballplayer that he is certain he’s found his eternal soulmate. Elijah’s faith in Wesley is astonishing. While Wesley’s personality would make me want to follow him like a lost puppy dog, I still don’t know if I would submit to him so quickly and willingly as Elijah did. This really speaks a lot about who Elijah is as a man, and about his past. I think it worked well because it gave me some insight on his personality and how his past has molded whom he is, without having to be told directly. Even better? He is also delicious, and Wesley’s roommate Arial gets to be in a apartment with these two together. She is one lucky woman.

The conflicts keep the pages turning until the very end. I was amazed how the author was able to create a strong plot line along with strong characterization. The conflicts really held the story together in a nice bundle. The author even managed to tie everything together in a way that left me wanting more. I hope that this is only the beginning of the characters’ stories, and that the author will allow me to continue to watch the main and supporting characters grow, because they will be on my mind for a long time.

Teagan Werner shares a house with his twin brother, Talon and Talon’s new bride, Abby. The three of them have enjoyed many a ménage but Teagan knows that is coming to an end now that Talon and Abby are husband and wife. Will he find a love of his own?

I enjoyed the setting of this story. The author did a wonderful job describing it and giving us a sense of place and what Teagan does for a living. He comes across as very likable but then in walks Kyrie Hart who wants to buy the property adjacent to his ranch. When he refuses, your sympathy switches over to her especially when you learn she wants it so she can build a spa/sanctuary for battered women. You get a sense that these two are very attracted to one another but that this is the very thing that will keep them apart. And neither seem to budge on what they want.

Kyrie just so happens to walk into a store owned by Abby and gets invited to stay at the ranch. I thought this a little contrived but from this point on the story flows so nicely that you begin to overlook it.

I thought the dialogue between Kyrie and Teagan was very realistic sounding. You can feel the tension building between them as the story progresses. The author did a top notch job making us wait until half way through the story for them to finally make love…although there is a hot ménage scene with Teagan, Talon and Abby prior to this.

Secondary characters like Talon and Abby are well developed but don’t appear too much to actually takeover the story. It’s fast paced and there are some nice twists to Kyrie’s story. One is that she’s a battered woman herself, the second I won’t give away.

The ending surprised me as it contained one of the hottest scenes of the story. If you’re looking for a little of everything, nice romance, ménage, unique setting, this is one you probably will enjoy.

Desperate not to lose Arthur, Leopold does the only thing he can think of — use pleasure to keep him.

Mr. Arthur Barrington truly wants their relationship to work. Sinfully beautiful and devoted to him, Leopold’s the opposite of Arthur’s staid ex-lover. And Leopold’s given up his old vices, putting those concerns to rest. Yet lately, all Leopold wants is sex — in the study, in the carriage, and at Arthur’s office, no less. It takes one disastrous night for Arthur to realize how much Leopold means to him. But convincing Leopold he loves him, all of him and not just his body, proves difficult. For Leopold’s disappeared and Arthur hasn’t a clue where to find him.

Life has a way of getting in the way of love. At least it seems that way to Arthur. His soliciting business is booming and he’s busier than ever, which means he has less time to devote to his lover, Thorn. Since Thorn stopped all his vices at Arthur’s request, he’s been craving more and more time with Arthur. Convincing Leopold is a fitting sequel and interesting story. You should read the first book, Convincing Arthur, before reading this one to understand the history of the two main characters and their relationship. This story picks up a few months after the abrupt ending of the previous book and small life issues are starting to take their toll on Arthur and Thorn’s relationship. Thorn is feeling restless and insecure about his appeal while Arthur is increasing exhausted from his work. Despite promises to put Thorn first, Arthur has lapsed into previous behavior of focusing on his business first and Thorn a distant second, at best. The third person narrative shows how Thorn and Arthur grow increasingly distant due to conflicting impressions of the other’s behavior.

The writing is once again very good and shows how the couple let small issues gradually build up until they become much bigger. It’s a very realistic and nice touch (rather than the big misunderstanding trope) and helps keep the story moving quickly. The characters continue much in the same vein as they did in the previous book with Thorn very open and giving about his love for Arthur, while the latter is much more reserved and withholding. Some of this creates an issue since Arthur doesn’t seem to appreciate Thorn as much as Thorn loves and appreciates Arthur. Though thankfully this does change by the end of the novella, I still spent much of the story not understanding why Thorn is so desperate to love someone as cold as Arthur which affects my enjoyment of the story some.

Overall, this is a good sequel and one that is very similar to the first book. Fans of this author or the series will easily want to continue and the steamy erotica and quick pace make this a fun story to read. It’s one that you don’t need to put down but be sure to have read the previous book in the series first. Then pick up this one and enjoy.

The story is told in the first person from Jocelyn’s point of view which I thought worked perfectly for this story.

We’re immediately immersed in her world of the single mom who wants to try something new but at the same time experiences guilt over what’s she’s finally resorted to. The opening scenes are very descriptive so you feel her nervousness as she waits for the escort to arrive.

His name is Sabian and at first he seems all business but as the story progresses the author does a good job delving deeper into his character and revealing why he’s chosen to be an escort. That isn’t always easy when the stories told from another person’s point of view but the author does a great job with this.

During a thrilling outer space battle Kaj has a chance to see her shift into full Assassin mode and, after a brief misunderstanding or two has been resolved, she discovers that he is very different from the other men she has been with and appreciates her for the strong woman she is. A part of the story I particularly enjoyed was the sentient personality of the spaceship Ascendent and the interaction between the ship and Kaj.

The story moves along very quickly, a bit too quickly for me as it felt a little rushed in places. Despite this, the main characters are well-realized and the relationship between them is mostly convincing. A word of warning, there is some very violent sex in this story. I didn’t find it offensive personally as it was fully consensual and mainly connected to the fact that neither Saida nor Kaj are human – both are far stronger and heal faster than ordinary humans – but some readers might find it objectionable.

If you enjoy your BDSM with a sci-fi theme, and like your heroes to be strong and your heroines stronger still, then Seduction of the Captain is well worth reading.

The passion is nonstop in this novella. While there is same sex interaction, it is brief and used well within the plotline. That is the same with the spanking, flogging and voyeurism. The activities were lightly used and essential to the story.

I really enjoyed this story! It was a perfect length, extremely well paced and it was even believable. Maeve’s fantasies were fun-filled and hot scenes. I’m very happy with the ending. While some authors in short stories just end with all is forgiven and they live happily ever after, Ms. Mayburn ends Sodom and Detroit in a more realistic fashion. Hurt, pain and tears are present, but with a bit of time and groveling the men break down Maeve’s defenses and win her back

Bravo Ms. Mayburn! I ended up finishing the book with a great big smile on my face and a cold shower.
