Hattie Yates has finally met the man of her dreams. Yet years of abuse from her demanding father have left her petrified of disappointment. She’s already failed to reach her goal of becoming a professional ballerina—she can’t handle the terrible consequences of another dream becoming a nightmare. But when a stalker sets their sights on Hattie, there’s only one man she dares to hope can help . . .

Axl Pantera knows Hattie is the only woman for him. Yet despite the attraction burning between them, Hattie refuses to let him in. The former soldier is determined to woo her into letting down her walls. And when danger comes calling, he’s up against more than her wary and bruised heart. Axl will do anything to prove to Hattie that they’re meant to be, but first, he’ll need to keep her safe.

Kristen Ashley is one of my favorite authors, so I was really excited to read her newest book, Dream Spinner. This is the third book in The Dream Team series and this one is about Axl and Hattie. It is an enchanting, fast paced story with some suspense added to the mix. As always, KA includes a cast of colorful secondary characters, which is what makes this story and everything she writes so much fun and interesting.

This is an upbeat and intoxicating story about Axl and Hattie and it is wonderful to have a ringside seat as they fall in love. Axl and Hattie are perfect for each other; they have explosive chemistry and a passionate relationship as they help each other deal with their troublesome fathers, Hattie’s stalker and some dirty cops.

Hattie is a dancer at Smithies. She is shy and caring, but has very little confidence because her father is always putting her down. When Axl asks Hattie for a date, she turns him down, even though she likes him, because she is afraid to say yes.

Axl is a commando who works for Hawke. Anyone who works for Hawke is tough and willing to do all the things the police can’t or won’t do. The commandos aren’t afraid to cross any boundaries, they get the job done, whatever it takes, legally or illegally. Axl is protective by nature and when he finds out Hattie is receiving threats, he wants to be the one keeping her safe. He cares about Hattie, but she is vulnerable and stubborn and afraid to open her heart.

I enjoyed all the encounters between Axl and Hattie and I also enjoyed all of Hattie’s amusing girlfriends. When they get together they are a hoot. They are a tight knit group and just what Hattie needs in her life.

This is a delightful story filled with romance, intrigue and a whole cast of entertaining characters. Although, I have to admit, I was a little disappointed there wasn’t an epilogue because KA’s epilogues are epic and my favorite part of the book. That said, I still loved this exhilarating, rollicking story and I’m sure you will too.

The only thing better than riding a cowboy is submitting to one.

On her own for the first time, Skylar Wedgeworth has no idea what to do about it. She’s torn between behaving like the hard-working mom she’s dedicated her life to being…and embracing her fascination with the erotic world of lust and submission she has long put second.

That’s where The Ranch comes in. And with it, Caleb Cash.

The injury that cut short Caleb’s pitching career just before he joined the majors, then his wife walking out on him have made Caleb question everything about himself, and he hasn’t had a partner since.

Until Skylar.

There’s no denying the heat between them when Skylar checks into the erotic lifestyle club Caleb and his six best friends opened in the Montana mountains, but for things to go further than their physical connection, Skylar has to learn how to put herself first and Caleb must be willing to trust a new partner with his heart…

Home Run Cowboy is an endearing and passionate story about two people who have given up on finding love. The plot immediately drew me in and I was transported to The Ranch, where all your erotic dreams can come true. I enjoyed the heat shared between Caleb and Skylar and found it easy to relate to them. They are both down to earth, good people who have been hurt in the past. They are vulnerable, but somehow are able to open their hearts up again. I was invested in their story and wanted everything to work out for them.

Caleb and Skylar meet when Skylar decides to visit The Ranch, owned by Caleb and his friends. Caleb and Skylar are taken by surprise by the instant attraction flowing between them. Unfortunately, they know their relationship can’t last because Skylar lives on the other side of the country. Caleb is also concerned about some unscrupulous people who are trying to force him to sell his land. This adds drama and intrigue to the story, as Caleb tries to discover who is trying to buy up all the property in the area.

What I enjoyed most about this story were the characters. I was invested in them and wanted them to find their HEA. Caleb is a moody cowboy who lost his baseball career when he was injured. Skylar is also feeling discontented with her life. She is a submissive and now that her daughter has gone off to college, she wants to explore this side of herself.

Caleb and Skylar lead full lives, but don’t have anyone they can share it with. Plus, they have particular needs and not everyone understands or has the same interests.

When Caleb and Skylar meet they find it easy to open up to each other and everything just seems to click. If you enjoy hot and spicy stories, be sure to read Home Run Cowboy.

Former professional football player and coach Duncan “Hatch” Hatcher fumbled his career and marriage. Now divorced and ready to tackle his future, he has an opportunity to redeem himself as coach of his college alma mater’s football team. But how can he turn the team’s losing streak around and keep the secret of his downfall buried when the school agrees to a documentary that will allow a lovely journalist to dig her way into his past…and into his heart?

Olivia Grant’s ex-husband almost wrecked her journalism career while he definitely did a number on her self-esteem. The documentary on Duncan Hatcher is the perfect way to rebuild both. As a freshman in college, she’d had a crush on the senior football hero, but he hadn’t known she existed. She never expects the sparks that fly between them as they work on the project nor the struggles they must face if they both want to win.

The two main characters, Hatch and Olivia are both mature, successful people who have gone through some tough times. They are content in their single lives, until they meet each other.

Olivia is apprehensive about starting over as a producer at thirty seven. She has gone through a painful divorce and a husband that nearly ruined her career. She is excited and nervous to start this next phase of her life. To revive her career she has decided to do a documentary on the golden boy of football Duncan “Hatch” Hatcher. When she meets him sparks fly and she tries to stay focused on only the documentary, but Hatch is impossible to resist. Olivia’s ex husband beat her down with insults and verbal abuse. Hatch does the opposite. Olivia has never met anyone like Hatch, he treats her like gold and is always complimenting her.

At forty two Hatch has had a great career; he is good looking and adored. He was a legend in both college and professional football and now he has come back to his college football team as the head coach. Unfortunately, the team and the football program isn’t as good as it used to be and he has some hard work ahead of him. Hatch knows he needs to concentrate on his new team, but there is something about Olivia that he can’t ignore.

Hatch and Olivia are wonderful together. They both have pasts they aren’t ready to talk about and secrets they don’t want exposed. Hatch and Olivia are both working on rebuilding their careers and don’t have time to get involved in a relationship with each other but from the moment they meet, there is a spark they find hard to ignore.

What I enjoyed the most about this book was Hatch. He is a mixture of a big tough football player, but he is also tender and a romantic at heart. He has given up on marriage and relationships, but with Olivia, everything just seems to click. Hatch is a great guy and I loved the way he treats Olivia.

I enjoyed all the encounters between Hatch and Olivia. They are soulmates meant to be together, but not everyone is happy they are together. Neither one of them has time for distractions and an attraction could potentially derail their careers. They are wonderful together and share a passionate relationship. They don’t hold back or play any games with each other and even though they are both successful, they are also vulnerable. I never wanted this story to end.

Sam is ten years older than Olivia. He owns and runs a successful tech company which has made him very rich, but because of his wealth, he has learned to be cautious of people. Sam is immediately drawn to Olivia and he doesn’t waste any time in letting her know how he feels. Sam is charming, sweet and protective and I love how he lets Olivia know how he feels about her right away; he never plays any games. Sam is a good old southern boy with lots of southern charm and he stole my heart, right along with Olivia’s.

Sam and Olivia are perfect together. Their story is heartwarming and there’s also a little suspense thrown into the mix. What also makes this story so endearing are all the characters. I loved Sam and Olivia but there are also colorful secondary characters that I grew fond of. Olivia has some wonderful friends and I love when they all get together.
