Can her Delta Force soldier save her from the killers?

Trey McIntyre gives his life to Delta Force, gladly, as spotter for sniper Beau Williams. He believes in protecting his country in all situations. But he longs for a woman who will fit into his life like his three teammates have. But he’s learned they aren’t so easy to find.

However genuinely not the case it is best to discuss cheap viagra this with your doctor. Kenzi Bryant is a hotshot corporate attorney who can’t seem to find a man who is not threatened by her powerful personality and situation. Until she meets Trey and something between them just clicks.

But for two strong people, the road to a happy ending often has a lot of bumps. And while they are navigating theirs, Kenzi is suddenly endangered by a former client. As much as Trey wants to be with her, he has to leave on a mission again. When she is badly injured by an attempt on her life, Trey has to learn how to balance his priorities and Kenzi has to learn there are times she has to give up control.

But can they do it?

Trey McIntyre is a member of the Delta Force, a Special Ops group that is sent in on the most important and sensitive cases. Their group is tasked to rescue an American reporter, Dana Roberts, from the Lopez Garcia drug cartel. She was targeted because she had information that would expose the cartel’s legal and illegal businesses. What he doesn’t know is that Dana is the half-sister to a woman whom he had a passionate weekend which who rocked his world and to his annoyance comes back into his head unwittingly at night leaving him frustrated.

Kenzi is a very intelligent, strong, and perceptive woman who knows she’s over her head. Trey is your typical army man, muscular and protective. He knows how to handle Kenzi’s needs without her having to tell him. You’ll need a fan when you read their love scenes, they are hot and heavy.

The leader of the Lopez Garcia cartel is portrayed as an intelligent, ruthless man. Unlike many of the other cartels, he does not get into turf wars to expand his influence. Instead, he is going international and is going to use legit companies to launder money. They have cousins who handle the cattle ranch that has been in the family for generations which keeps the government off their trail. Yet, as hard as he had worked Dana is ruining all his plans. He has put a hit out on Dana in hopes one of his crew can take care of her, along with Kenzi and her suspicion of Alex Reyes. The author did a great job of getting in to his head and letting the reader know how ruthless the cartel can be.

The one thing that I think could have been changed is the amount of sex scenes. There are lot of them and I do enjoy a good love scene, but I felt there were too many which slowed the story down. Otherwise the plot runs smoothly and the characters stay in character.

A wonderful, action-packed military novel with passionate love scenes and great characters. It also shows the strength and bond between the group of soldiers who trust everything to each other, including the protection of their women.

It’s been a while since I’ve read a good shifter book, so I was looking forward to this one. The cover is gorgeous, and really piqued my interest. Once I started reading, I was hooked. These characters are so vibrant and full of life, I was smiling from the start. Tavis and Kel are a perfect match for each other – in their stubbornness if nothing else!

The story is twisted enough to have kept my interest from start to finish, and has left me wanting more. The world building is excellent, with enough definition given between the two packs that it is never a question over which pack is which. I would have loved to have learnt more about the Pack Hierarchy, and the politics/rules/regulations that Alphas have to abide by, but I’m guessing that may come in future books! So many intriguing characters I want to hear more from.

A fantastic story, rich with detail and emotion. First book in a new series, and I am definitely left wanting more. Absolutely recommended by me.

This is such a fun series. The details in the world-building never fail to amaze.

It was enjoyable to see the hero, Luca, try to follow orders. My reasoning is because he’s capable of doing things regular folks can’t and yet, he wants to belong so he curbs his natural inclinations, well, as much as he could. I could sense his frustration, his earnest willingness to ‘do’ something and being stymied because he has to follow protocol. The author clearly illustrated how exasperating it is to always have to follow rules. Rules that slow the progress down, preventing action, and Luca is all about action. Readers will find out just how rules and protocol can be used for ill instead of good. It made perfect sense then that the hero is left chomping at the bit. Like the blurb said, he’s trying to find a missing child and that’s a great reason to want action. Now.

I really liked Luca and Dawn’s first meeting. It made an impression and it brought the reader into the story that begins unfolding from that point. Practically everyone is on stage and by chapter 3, I was completely hooked. What will it take to find the little girl? Who took her? Why? Will she be rescued? How, and by who? The additional suspense spiced up the plot and provided opportunities for the hero and heroine to see in each other their strengths, and even weaknesses. That relationship give and take was what I liked about the couple.

If anyone has been reading the series, then you know about the goddesses. Suffice to say, they were quite the helpers. But of course, they have pizzazz and flair whenever they’re on scene.

As for the villain who caused all the grief, fear and mayhem, I kind of figured it was going to get serious when Luca was tasered. I cringed on his behalf. Since this is a romance story with a happy ending, the villain has to be caught and brought to justice. Comeuppance was delivered upon the villain, but considering the damage done and how the felonious blackguard played fast and loose with so many lives — spending a little extra time explaining why the punishment fit the crime, because I didn’t get it, would have been most welcome. I wanted to feel … more vindicated. I wanted to see the criminal suffer a bit more because the fallout touched so many people. It was incredibly heartbreaking. In fact, the scene with the desolate father was truly genius because his pain came right off the page. So, yeah, I really wanted to bask in justice being served. Also, I wanted more proof that Rita was taking concrete-to-the-reader steps that showed just how strongly the heroine’s effect was on the little girl. I was quite taken with how Dawn approached her and the girl’s reaction. I know it would have made the book longer, but I would have been fine with that.

Gabriella and Antonio are the best parents in the world. They have such a capacity for love; with role models like them, it’s not a wonder Dawn fell for Luca. Adding to the ‘awww’ factor was how they dealt with Dawn’s grandma.

Like I said, this romance story has a happy ever after, and Ms. Chase used the final chapter to wrap up all the threads with one, big, glittery bow of happiness. It was like a giant epilogue and I couldn’t ask for more. Luca’s romance with Dawn is a must read. Fans of the series have a wonderful experience in store when they pick up their own copy of A Phoenix Is Forever.

Reece is used to being in the camera’s spotlight, but tries to keep his personal life private, which becomes hard for him to do when he falls for Nicole. Will he be able to protect her from the bright lights of his fame, or will he step out of the light and be the man they both wish he could be?

This story may be about an accidental love affair but the pulling on my heartstrings wasn’t an accident at all. This was an emotional story that was well written. It was obvious to me that a lot of thought was put forth in developing quality characters that I found to be relatable. I especially enjoyed the well crafted drama with all the unexpected plot twists that captured my interest from beginning to end. I’m not sure how realistic it all was but that isn’t a huge criteria for me as long as it’s plausible which I believe it could be.

The moral of this story is to not procrastinate. Typically when one procrastinates there is a negative outcome. In this story the heroine, Nicole, demonstrates a positive outcome from her procrastination for she would never have had met the hero, Reece. Though I’d like to point out there are different reasons for a person to procrastinate. It’s one thing if it’s because of laziness or lack of desire. It’s another thing when a person procrastinates because of lack of confidence as it was in this heroine’s case. I personally struggled with Nicole’s lack of self worth. At times her insecurities led to me feeling irritated with her instead of sympathetic, especially when it caused the romance to be on again and off again. However, that is my personal hang up. I will admit that the HEA was worth the emotional roller coaster I endured.

I did love Nicole’s quick wit though. She always had the last word with a quick come back that made me laugh. The chemistry between Nicole and Reece was so hot that I’m surprised the pages didn’t naturally combust. I definitely wasn’t feeling the cold weather outside.

An Accidental Love Affair was a fun contemporary read.

Before being terminated, their former Interplanetary ambassador, Etienne derailed and teamed up with Professor Trenton Beck in a rogue plan that doesn’t sit well with the universe.

Jasper’s mission on Earth was clear: capture the fugitive scientist responsible for the genetic alteration and retrieve the remaining altered survivors.

But now, there’s Zoey.

Some people aren’t what they seem.

Zoey, the heroine, is changed, and she had no idea how. How would she know she’d been abducted by aliens? Sam and Emma are brought into the mess, not because they were changed, but because Sam was kidnapped by the scientist’s protegee, Trenton Beck. There are plenty of characters to keep track of, but each one is memorable, so it’s not a problem.

I found this to be an interesting story, something I don’t run across all the time. I love the characters’ personalities; each one is different but they are all strong, willing to sacrifice everything to protect the ones they love and the Earth they live on. Zoey is the main character and it shows. Sam is outgoing and quick to defend those she loves. She may not have any extra sensory abilities, but she is strong and smart. Emma is brave and a leader. She hits it off with Alex, their resident geek, and learns as much as she can. She is also the mother of the group.

Then there are the Opts: Jasper who is the ambassador who is warm and stern at the same time. He and Zoey have a connection from the moment they met. One of my favorite characters was Lulu, who is the leader, and a fighter. She is the one who knows the most about Earth culture and tought the rest. She is incredibly smart, sassy, and funny. She is the one that helps the women adjust to what is going on.

Then there is the romance between Rufus and Mia, that had been developed under horrendous circumstances, when they were being trained and held captive by Beck. They are so devoted to each other and when they are separated I could feel the pain.

I love the relationship between Zoey and Jasper. It is obvious they love each other but Jasper keeps pushing back. It is against regulations to fall in love with a person from the planet they were staying on. He has to battle his feelings against his duty. Love is a major emotion that is prevalent throughout the book.

The beginning is a tad slow, but once I got past a certain point, things start happening fast. Also, the author switches between different points of view, and I found it jarring in a few sections to figure out who is talking. I also think it rushes a little too fast towards the end, and it left me a tad bit confused. Maybe a slower pacing near the end would have been better.

Other than those few quirks, this was a good read. The characters were so personable, the plot engrossing and the abilities fun to see. The romance is sweet and there seems there could be more, so I’ll have to wait for the sequel to see what happens. If you are into sci-fi, love aliens with great abilities, and strong women, I definitely recommend this book.

If only he didn’t feel so attracted to the man.

The apocalypse had happened and zombies weren’t the only threat to people anymore – marauders, outlaws roaming the countryside who felt it their right to take and destroy anything they felt like. Atticus had been wandering for about a year when he decided it was time to get back in touch with what remained of humanity. Only the community Atticus first came across wasn’t what he expected, and when Atticus meets Remy the two men need to rely on each other in order to survive the world they’re left in.

I found this to be an interesting and quick-paced zombie-style story. I enjoyed the alternate universe and tone of the author’s voice which mingled hope and devastation with just a hint of humour (I laughed aloud when I discovered “Fifty Shades” had survived the end of the world…). While it’s clear the world has irreversibly changed, much of the characters remaining are relatable and easy to feel empathy for. I was pleased there wasn’t much gore in the story – the shattered world and worst aspects of humanity felt like more than enough to me, personally. I also appreciated how while there were some vile characters, there were also good people trying to do the right thing and help stitch back what could be saved of humanity. I feel these two elemental forces are – at heart – what so many stories really are about and I quickly found myself enmeshed in the story and really rooting for Atticus and Remy.

The two men became intimate after a fairly short period of time – but the author helped make me find this believable. With genuine dangers lurking all around and a lot of unknowns about the future it seemed understandable for people to take their pleasure where it was possible to find it. While survival in the post-apocalyptic world is definitely front-and-center of the plot, the growing trust and relationship between Atticus and Remy also captured my attention. There’s quite a bit of steamy sex and readers who enjoy the bedroom door kept wide open should find the heat level here more than satisfies.

With a strong plot, good world-building, cheerful ending and a steamy M/M romance this book was a great, quick read and one I can happily recommend.

Wry, daring and utterly absorbing, The Object of Your Affections is an unforgettable story about two women challenging the norms…and the magic that happens when we choose to forge our own path.

My best friend, my saving grace…my surrogate?

I’ve never read a book by Kothari, so this was a new-to-me author. I like finding books that are genuine and original. This was one of those books. The writing is fast-paced and I couldn’t put the book down.

That said, the characters were…interesting. I’m not sure if I liked them or hated them. Maybe a bit of both. Paris could be incredibly whiny and full of herself, but I understood why–she has to be forceful in the courtroom and when she’s out of it, then she can lose control. She’s relateable, but yet, I still wasn’t a fan. I kept thinking, someone give her a reality check. But, you see, I was emotionally invested. So, kudos to the author.

Then there’s Neal, Paris’s husband. He’s a piece of work. He’s a playboy and knows it. I wasn’t sure he really wanted kids, but that was okay. I wasn’t a fan of his, either.

Now there’s Naira. She’s Paris’s best friend. I get it. I’ve had best friends who seemed to have it all and it can be tough to watch. When Paris doesn’t want to get pregnant, she has Naira step in. Good in theory, but questionable in real life. I got the ups and downs Naira dealt with when pregnant. It’s a rollercoaster. Then she’s close-ish to Neal. She’s trying to be a good friend and there were times when I don’t know how she kept going. She had to be my favorite character.
I understood the jealousy by Paris, but there were times when I wanted more from Paris. I wanted to be shown her anguish and explained why more often, not told.

If you want a book that’s full of drama and shows the true bonds of friendship, then this might be the book for you. Give it a try.

I have mixed emotions about this book. I didn’t dislike the story nor did I love it. It’s my opinion that if I like the synopsis then I’ll give it a try. Operation Sizzle deserves the chance to be read. I have to say, what you see is what you get.

I’m a reader that likes to read books that are either sweet, sensual or spicy in the chemistry/bedroom department. This book is definitely a little too spicy for me. The synopsis says “offers him the chance to help her improve her sultriness quotient and in the process enjoy some no-strings-attatced bedroom action, there’s no way he can refuse.” For readers looking for something on the more sexy side, then this might not be the right fit.

The heroine, Betsy Kincaid, was well developed but had some room for improvement. Betsy had a kind heart and it was rewarding to see her experience some positive growth developments as the story progressed. It was frustrating to watch her grow wiser but that made it all the more rewarding. Betsy’s character was closer to my leading character preferences near the end of the story.

The hero, Matt, was likable but a bit too bold and forward for me. I had a hard time connecting with the possibility that a man would hear a woman voice on the phone for the first time and only one time and instantly feel a connection that propelled him to go over to her home and bully his way inside out of concern for someone he doesn’t even know. I found his boldness a bit unrealistic. But it might work for other readers.

It wasn’t Matt’s fault that Betsy made the wrong assumption about him when she met him. The innocent mistake made the story a bit humorous. A book that makes me laugh is always a win for me.

Over all, Operation Sizzle was an entertaining contemporary romance book. You’ll just have to read the book to see if their anger over the misunderstanding will cost them their chance at true love.

There are always two sides to a story. Can love withstand the ultimate temptation?

A new Regime has arisen from the havoc and destruction of World War III. Society now has to follow the strict mandates, reign under the dictatorship of His Highest Eminence or suffer the consequences.

Tobias and Kincade are part of a cryptic organization that’s trying to uncover the secrets behind the Regime. Something is suspicious with the new world order—why else would they want to control the most powerful emotion of love? With mandatory arranged marriages at the age of twenty-one, the only way to fight for love is through the Temptation Trials—a government-sponsored reality TV show.

Kincade and Tobias know the rules, but after they meet the women of their dreams, they face a difficult decision. With their impending birthdays around the corner, the guys have to decide if they will bend to the Regime’s will or fight for their relationships.
The documentary was to have been screened in the United States next year. levitra on line However, these pills should be taken before sexual activity, at least before one hour (the recommended timing or follow the instructions which are given to you by doctor if you really feel that meetings at your company are waste of time then the chances of getting affected by erectile dysfunction get increases. viagra in india online This medicine is considered to viagra sale check stock be delightful when compared to the tablets because it is sold in the name of a brand. Lust, mistaken for love, will lead to down a treacherous path. They soon learn that the spirit may be willing, but the flesh is weak.

Can love save their souls, or is lust too tempting?

After reading the first book in this series (told from the women’s POV), I was interested to get the other side of the story. Years ago, there was a failed reality show named “Temptation Island” which basically put people in committed relationships into deliberately sexy circumstances with others to see if they’d cheat. This book series reminds me of that show … on steroids.

As with most dystopian novels, the government is bad here. I’m still not 100% certain why the government chose this particular “rule” for their own, but I’m suspending my disbelief here and running with it since that is sort of the mystery the characters are trying to solve themselves. In the first book, I actually liked the guys better than the girls, for the short time I saw them, so was glad to get to see them again. One thing I enjoyed was the guys’ sense of humor and snark about things. It’s pretty typical (especially for “tough guy” Tobias). However, there was a lot of emotional stuff with them thinking sappy thoughts about the girls that felt a little off. Not that guys aren’t romantic or loving, but it’s not typically the focus, the be-all-end-all of their thoughts.

I suppose this can stand alone in the series, but I think the world-building in this one wasn’t as strong. Possibly because the author assumes the reader has read past books in the series. Other that that (and wondering what was going on with the women) though, I think this could be read alone.

Since Tobias and Kincade were undercover to find out what was going on with this governmental rule, there was a little more digging into the mystery of “how” and “why” here. We got it in the women’s book, too, but not as frequently.

Also, in my own personal set of preferences, I hate romances about cheating. Here, though, it doesn’t feel wrong, exactly, and I’m not sure why that it. Maybe because the guys aren’t around their women here? I’m not sure why. Also–and I had this same issue in the women’s book–I’m not entirely certain I want our main characters to end up with the women they originally loved. It’s true! The author has done a good job selling the other characters here.

While perhaps not as violent and bloody as most dystopian novels, it’s still a decent entry into the genre. Add in plenty of sex and sexual innuendo, and you have a book any adult could enjoy. It’ll be interesting to see where the story goes next.

In an attempt to overcome his crippling writer’s block, Zach and his wife Nikki move from New York City to the Hudson Valley, land of the legendary Sleepy Hollow, where he meets Kendra Evans, a beautiful and mysterious young Satan-worshiper. Kendra offers Zach the creativity he longs for. But will getting everything he’s ever wanted cost him everything … and everyone … he already has? Filled with vivid imagery and adult themes, Dreams of the Muse is intended for mature readers only.

The plight of a ‘blocked’ writer is not so hard to imagine, and this desperation fuels author Zach Moore. He’s already a success, but desperate to hang on to it. Does this become the old “sell your soul” story? Well no…because there is a further temptation by the beautiful evil Kendra, and the intrigue develops from there.

We understand Zach, but admire his resilient wife Nikki. Their relationship is everyday, down-to-earth, and somehow nicely parallels their sex life. Dreams of the Muse is entirely unpredictable, largely because of these powerful characters.

Kendra, who would be his muse, his possessor (she is too complex to be simply evil) circles in, gaining power as we somehow grasp her motive. The eerie start is great although the further opening is not at the pace of the rest of the novel but, once past the beginning, the haunting setting, unpredictable plot, and our own desperate hopes all make this a page-turner.
