How has beautiful, popular Amanda Smythe-Kincaid managed to reach the ripe old age of twenty-five without getting married? Could she possibly still be carrying a torch for Jason, her brother’s best friend? It’s been years since they were caught kissing in the conservatory.

Jason, the third Viscount Greyshott, has been in love with Amanda for ages. Too bad he can’t convince her of that fact, and too bad she repeatedly turns down his marriage proposals.

When Amanda asks Jason for a shocking favor, he realizes this may just be the opportunity he needs. And when fate, in the form of an exasperated older brother and some inadvertent eavesdropping, finally steps in to bring this charming Regency couple into each other’s arms—where everyone around them knows they’ve always belonged—Amanda doesn’t stand a chance.

“I bet she’ll die an old maid and never know love.” Eleven simple words can change your life forever.

Living during the regency times couldn’t have been all manners and politeness. Imagine that under the thin veneer of a proper lady is a fiery, passionate heroine and beneath the façade of a distinguished lord is a deviously inventive hero. Time is running out for these two would-be lovers. Upon learning of their true feelings for each other, their passion is ignited and it burns hot and strong. Who knew doing something so wrong could feel so right?

Hopelessly romantic and helplessly in love, Amanda Smythe-Kincaid is destined to never marry. As a young girl, she vowed to never marry unless it was for love. She is twenty-five and in love with her long time friend Jason. Regretfully, the only reason he proposes is because of honor. After overhearing those eleven earth shattering words, the vision of her dismal future shocks her. Amanda forms a new plan. She may die an old maid, but she was going to know the touch of a man and it will be Jason’s, even if it is for only one night.

For seven years Jason has asked Amanda to marry him. However, they may also refer viagra buy in usa you to a reputable and as well as reliable ENT hospital in Kolkata for accurate treatment. Jason loves Amanda, but is unsure how to make her love him. After one conversation with her brother and a request for help from Amanda, Jason’s hope is revived. It will be a perfect opportunity to prove to her that he loves her and that they belong together.

Recompromising Amanda is a delightful story. Ms. Burke took all the great qualities of a historical romance novel and compressed it flawlessly into this little gem. Jason is a brilliant, patient gentleman and Amanda is intelligent and independent. They are perfectly suited for each other, but Amanda has to have been blind not to see that Jason truly loves her. This story was well paced and edited. I am duly impressed that Ms. Burke told an enjoyable and charming story in such a short book. This is a perfect story for a perfect couple.

Nurse Rachel Dennison comes to Texas determined to prepare her new patient for a second round of chemo. What she isn’t counting on is her patient’s twin brother, Storm Masterson. Despite her initial attraction, Storm has two things Rachel can’t abide: a domineering personality and a fiancée.

Half Native American, with the ability to have “vision dreams,” Storm dreams about Rachel for three nights before her arrival. Both are unprepared for the firestorm of emotions their first encounter ignites.

Ultimately, it is Rachel’s past—and abusive, maniacal ex-boyfriend—that threatens to keep them apart…and Storm’s dreams that bring them together again.

If you were driving along, out in the middle of nowhere, and found a hot man walking down the road wearing nothing but some cowboy boots and a cowboy hat, would you stop? If he was as hot as Storm Masterson then I know I would!

First, let me say that Texas is not a state that I’ve ever really had much of a desire to visit (no offense, Texans). It is hot and dry and has really big spiders. Ms. Davis, however, described Texas, its hill country and beautiful sunsets so vividly that I have now added it to my list of places to go before I die.

Rachel is a funny, vibrant character with a very caring heart who puts others’ needs ahead of herself, even when in peril. Storm is a sexy man who loves his family, which just makes him all the sexier. The relationship between all of the characters in this book is so real, I loved it. It was like peeking into a close family and seeing how it all ticks. Even the father, who has passed away, is a real character. Noella, the housekeeper slash cook slash stand-in mother, is absolutely hilarious and a delightful secondary character. The relationship between Storm and Sunny as brother and sister is heartwarming. Storm is the older brother that every girl would want.

The scene where Storm realizes that Rachel is his sister’s nurse is laugh out loud funny, and the scene is so vivid that it was like watching a movie. This was probably my favorite scene in the whole book because it is so real.

On a personal note, the whole concept of Rachel’s job moved me. With a friend who has terminal cancer, the ideas that Rachel had, while fiction, really got me thinking about my friend and what I could possibly research that might help her in some way. I hope, for the sake of cancer patients out there everywhere, that there is someone like Rachel in reality.

This book has easily found its place on my keeper shelf and has become one of my personal favorites. If I could pull these characters from the pages and make them real I would. This is a family that I would want to be friends with and hang out with on a Friday night at a barbecue. I will revisit them again in the future and I very much look forward to it. I would recommend it to any one of my personal friends and I highly recommend anyone reading this to check it out.

Their desire could be their destruction…or their greatest strength.

Southern Arcana, Book 4

Fourteen months ago, Kat Gabriel learned a brutal truth. Under the wrong circumstances, her empathic ability is no gift. It’s a deadly weapon. Now her soul bears the inescapable weight of those deaths—and it aches for the loss of the easy relationship she once shared with Andrew Callaghan. Unleashing her power saved his life, but she couldn’t save his humanity.

Since the attack that turned him into a werewolf, Andrew’s sole focus has been to make himself stronger. Pushing her away hurt like hell, but Kat doesn’t need a friend. She needs a protector strong enough to shield her from the supernatural world that forced her to kill. Strong enough to resist their volatile connection.

As Kat’s quest to understand the violent legacy of her past leads her into the darkest underbelly of the psychic world, Andrew is at her side. Yet every step forward rips open old emotional wounds and shakes their control. Where they’re headed, distractions of any kind can be fatal—especially when the greatest threat they pose is to each other.

The Southern Arcana series by Moira Rogers just keeps getting better. I have been waiting for Kat and Andrew’s book and it certainly was worth the wait. The New Orleans of Southern Arcana is wonderfully detailed, inhabited by the most intriguing supernatural community, a diverse and interesting group of shifters, psychics and many more too numerous to mention here.

Katherine “Kat” Gabriel and Andrew Callaghan have been tiptoeing around the elephant in the corner for fourteen months. That is when the past and politics combined to interrupt the budding love between them, causing Andrew to become the wolf he now is, and leaving Kat to deal with the guilt she feels for using her mind to kill the rogues who attacked them. Both have wondered what might have been, but then Kat receives information on a plot so terrible it caused the death of Kat’s mother when she was young. Now Kat and Andrew, and their mutual guilt society, are on a road trip together, to meet with an informant to learn more. What they uncover could ruin the lives of supernaturals around the world, so Kat and Andrew, and a small band of friends set out to stop this threat once and for all. Can they take care of the threat to keep everyone safe, all while dealing with the elephant sitting squarely between them? Can they find the way back to the relationship, and love they had? Or will their lives be forever shadowed by events from the past?

Kat is determined to get past the events that changed her life fourteen months ago. I enjoyed watching as she honed her talent, her empathy, to better protect herself and those around her, while learning to deal with what happened in the past. Kat is a strong character, but she doesn’t realize her true strength isn’t physical, and I liked seeing her realize what was important in her life.

Andrew is the strong alpha wolf, created in the attack on him and Kat fourteen months ago. He has guilt issues and lots of anger, but one thing never wavered-his love for Kat. He is loyal to his friends, and protective of those he loves, especially Kat. I enjoyed seeing him come to terms with his feelings, and find his way back to Kat’s side.

There is a cult of supernatural people determined to control the psychic community, and use them as weapons in their goal to take over and rule the world. Kat and Andrew take on the challenge to stop them, and recruit a small band of helpers along the way.

There is a lot of danger and some very sad moments, but this is Moira Rogers. There is a lot of hot passion, but in a very unique and surprising manner. When Kat and Andrew finally resolve their issues, things go to a whole new level. I also enjoyed catching up with many of our old friends from earlier books.

This is the best of the Southern Arcana series so far, in my opinion, and I look forward to the next one.

Julia and Bedingfield want the affair and do not hide it from each other. There’s mild tension over Bedingfield’s vast sexual expertise and Julia’s relative lack of experience. Later some conflict arises over Julia’s doubts and insecurities about the age difference. These conflicts are worked out in a way that is believable and satisfying.

It is a light, straightforward love affair story that turns into a HEA. A very enjoyable quick and sexy read with just the right touch of romance.

In the epic battle between Heaven and Hell, there are angels and demons…and then there’s James.

Tall, dark and deadly, James Gunn is the President of the Diabolus Venator motorcycle club, a group of one time outlaws turned gun-toting, sword-wielding, ass-kicking demon hunters. His no-holds-barred style of dispatching hell’s darkest minions has earned him quite the reputation, but when he fights a low-level demon that warns him that his soul is in danger, he laughs it off…until he discovers that they mean to steal his heart to obtain it. When James realizes that a high-ranking demon has marked him for a prime spot in hell, he pulls out all the stops to protect the one thing he loves more than his own soul— his girlfriend, Maddy.

What James doesn’t count on is that this particular demon knows a little bit more about the art of possession than the average minion and he’s forced to make the ultimate choice between the love of his life or his own soul.

There’s a very nasty demon on the loose and he already has his target in mind. Now it’s up to James Gunn to protect the world – and especially the woman he loves – from the denizens of Hell. What will it take for him to send this evil back to where it belongs? And exactly how much of his soul will he have to sacrifice in the effort?

‘In the epic battle between Heaven and Hell, there are angels and demons… and then there’s James.’ So says the book’s blurb, and I would have to agree with that assessment.

James is a unique character on many levels. As leader of the Diabolus Venator motorcycle club of demon hunters, he has no issue with going for broke in all that he tackles. This goes for his personal life as well, as exhibited by his ability to walk away from the one woman who makes him feel whole – Maddy. Even when it’s killing him inside, he stays away in order to keep her safe. Hormonal difficulties may initiate with the brain cheapest cialis opacc.cv or the testicles. This dedication to her and her well-being is inspiring, if a bit over-the-top at times.

Maddy is the only reason James forces himself to go on. She is the love of his life, and she feels the very same way for him. It’s torture for her, as well, to be separated from him for so long, but she never gives up hope that he’ll one day change his mind. She and James have a lot in common in that they both lost someone they loved tragically. This one common thread is the cause for the majority of the angst between them, but it is also the one thing that holds them together.

Despite the first two chapters coming off in a rather disjointed and confusing manner, the author pulls it all together by chapter three, bringing the story into more clarity and focus, making it easier to follow to its conclusion. While it is definitely worth the read, please be warned that the nasty demon has absolutely no remorse for his victims and, in one case, repeatedly abuses a woman sexually. Although it’s not graphically described to the reader, it is still a sensitive subject and even made my hardened stomach clench in parts.

That aside, Possession is an action packed adventure of a lifetime. Filled to the brim with interesting and exciting characters, you’ll be pulled into their world in no time.

Careful what you ask for. Shannon McKee is in ruin and she sees no way out of her living hell. Swearing an oath on a bottle of tequila, she offers her soul to whoever can get her out of overwhelming debt. Heaven and Hell have accepted the offer and each has sent a Harvester to collect their fee. Payment is due upon receipt, and no matter who gets her soul, Shannon’s not getting out of this alive.

Have you ever thrown an offhand comment out that went something like “Oh, I would sell my soul for…”? Next time you’d better think twice! At the very least make sure you specify whichever entity rules whatever afterlife world you would like to enter. Because that’s what Shannon forgot to do when, in a drunken moment, she pleaded for help with her soul as the bargaining chip. As a result, she had agents from both Heaven and Hell after her soul. I do have to say that if this is what the agents for both places are like, I might have had a good time sitting back and letting them fight over my soul. Because Michael and Liam are both…well, I guess “heavenly” wouldn’t work in this case, would it? Okay, they are both yummy!

This was such an interesting, fun and unique take on Heaven, angels and demons that it immediately grabbed me and sucked me in. Ms. Zannini packed so much into fifty-seven pages that it seemed longer but also ended much too soon. The author’s description of Heaven is both captivating and imaginative (watch for the little girl). The different types of jobs that the angels are given is an interesting concept, especially considering that Liam doesn’t feel like he’s suited for his job. You’d think the ones assigning jobs in Heaven could get it right, wouldn’t you?

All of the main characters are dynamic and full of personality. Shannon is a likable, sweet person that had the misfortune of misjudging a man. Who hasn’t done that? She got taken advantage of and now is stuck trying to figure out her life. Michael and Liam are devastatingly sexy with that old school gentlemanly charm. Even the secondary characters are fun, with little Evie, Liam’s assistant, and the butler, Wilson, nearly stealing the show. The portrayal of Gabriel was a little surprising though and not what I expected.

This book is packed with so much humor, steamy hot love scenes, sexy angelic (and devilish) men and even some whimsy that I couldn’t put it down. I’m very happy to see that this is to be part of a series and will be eagerly looking forward to the opportunity to revisit these characters.

This is a well written, fast paced, steamy tale that is sure to get your attention from page one. It reminded me somewhat of watching the movie “What Dreams May Come”, where it was fascinating and delightful to see that version of Heaven. This author will be going on my list to check out her other books – you should check her out too!

What is the price of love?

Nick Gentry is reputed to be the most skillful lover in all England. Known for solving delicate situations, he is hired to seek out Miss Charlotte Howard. He believes his mission will be easily accomplished — but that was before he met the lady in question.

For instead of a willful female, he discovers one in desperate circumstances, hiding from a man who would destroy her very soul. So Nick shockingly offers her a very different kind of proposition — one he has never offered before.

He asks her to be his bride.

And he knows that this will be much more than a union in name only. For he senses what Charlotte does not yet know — that her appetite for sensuality matches his own. But what Nick learns surprises him. For while London’s most notorious lover might claim Charlotte’s body, he quickly discovers it will take much more than passion to win her love.

This book has a swoon-worthy romance, a wonderfully tortured hero, and a heroine with the strength to heal him while standing firm against her own demons. It’s a delightfully engaging story that kept me riveted and on the edge of my seat.

Even readers who don’t usually read historical romances will find a multitude of reasons to enjoy themselves. There’s not a lot of stuffy language and the dialogue is easy to relate to. Nick’s reasons for being the bedeviled soul that he is are heartbreaking and tragic. Lottie’s reasons for running are typical but her perseverance and cleverness isn’t. She’d rather die than face what her parents have in store for her. She’s like a willow, she’ll bend but won’t break and that holds her in good stead throughout this tale.

Ms. Kleypas has a way of reaching a reader’s emotions and bringing her characters to life. She sets up the hero’s point of view with a unique and interesting opening sequence. I enjoyed the brief wisdom from Gemma and how it plays out later in the book. In fact, it’s what makes this story so hot and passionate. The legacy of that temporary character brought many moments of enjoyable lovemaking and scenes that I wanted to read again and again. Not because of what Nick and Lottie do, but the sentiments behind them, and the feelings that drove the hero and heroine are what made them memorable. Not to mention their coming together in all those unique places and positions, and those seductive whisperings that tantalized my imagination. From innocence to loving debauchery, all was well done and it mattered to the plot. And because Ms. Kleypas wrote such endearing characters, I cared whether or not they found happiness.

The villain generated a couple of different feelings from me. As first, I feared his power, not unlike Lottie. He was a twisted and manipulative person with some serious mental issues that prevented him from being the man he could have been. Being a peer and rich couldn’t buy happiness. I actually felt sad for him. On the other hand, Lottie’s parents were whacked. I think they were worse and should have the villainous label attached to their behavior. How dare they! And their reactions to Nick’s offers made me fear for the rest of Lottie’s siblings. When her father finally opened up his mouth, I rolled my eyes. Too little, too late. Thank goodness she had Nick.

Other secondary characters were important. Sophia, Nick’s sister, and her husband Sir Ross were instrumental in moving the plot along. So too was Sir Grant. In fact, some of the more amusing and adorable scenes and dialogue occur with them interacting with the hero and heroine.

There is light drama and action and a bit of suspense to keep a reader flipping the pages. The burgeoning romance between Nick and Lottie was sweet in its tentative steps but when they finally got over the initial hurdles, the author allowed a reader to explore Nick’s emotional depths and needs. I even liked the part when he tied up Lottie and introduced her to his other kind of desires. It certainly made an impact and was one more good reason to not put the book down until the end. The epilogue showed Sir Ross in a different light during his dialogue with Nick. It was cute and when Nick realized exactly what Sir Ross meant, it was really funny.

Worth Any Price is easy to read and hard to put down. It provided excitement, laughter, a hero and heroine that touched my heart, and a masterfully written story that engaged all my senses. I enjoyed this book so much, that I’m very interested in finding out about Sir Ross’ story.

There something about Ms. Kleypas’ writing that calls to me and reaches me where most historical romances don’t. It’s truly a wonderful skill when an author can make a reader not only look forward to what comes next, but to wonder about all that came before. Reading Worth Any Price was time well spent.

Alfonso Serrano is a hunted man. For months he’s managed to elude the Darkbloods, vengeful foes who won’t rest until he’s dead. But he still craves one dangerous temptation: Lily DeGraff, the sexy Guardian agent he’ll risk anything to protect.

Lily is a wanted woman. Her talent for tracking Sweet—a rare blood type that’s addictive to vampires—makes her a prime target for enemy capture. Her only hope is the stealthy vampire operative who stole into her bed…then left her in despair. Danger aside, Lily won’t let Alfonso near her heart again—until an irresistible hunger threatens to draw them back together… and into an assassin’s snare.

This isn’t your mother’s vampire story.

First off: good news to folks who pick this story up without reading the first book in the series (like me!) – it’s good as a stand alone book. I had absolutely no problems following relationships between the characters or missing any back plot. Good news for those who have read the first book – this book leaves you wanting to continue the saga. There isn’t a “cliff-hanging” ending, so it the reader gets their “happy for now”, but the characters are complex and likeable and the prospect of reading the third book in the series is a pleasurable one.

I found it disconcerting, then refreshing, then intriguing the way Ms. London treats the “vampire heritage”, the most notable difference being the presence of “born vampires”. This is the first time I have come across a novel (romance or otherwise) that has the possibility of a child being born into a vampire family. It is also the first time I have read of vampire marriages. While changing of a mortal to vampire is still practiced in this story, the majority of this story’s characters are “born” to vampire families and experience the vampire “change”.

The complex social structure and different sects of vampires gives this story a very modern twist. In many ways, the social and governing structure described in this story resembles current American society. Some people are using generic levitra online the impotence medications wrongly that is for branded. If cheap cialis soft you want to keep it safe for consumption* It is suitable for people of different agesOnce you have all the facts, it becomes easier for one to make the decision of taking the kamagra jelly. In order to have correct treatment with the use of Sildenafil citrate tablets can be dangerous while receiving other generika cialis drugs for the treatment of angina and those who have already had an allergic reaction to the Sildenafil Citrate. This is also quite clear in the dealings of sweetbloods or “sweet” as it is commonly referred to. Within the context of this story, this blood type has an addictive quality to vampires and causes behavior much the same as heroin or cocaine use might be expected to cause in a human. Therein lies the basic premise of good versus evil . . . using sweet to coerce vampires to commit acts they would not normally engage in.

However, we don’t pick up a romance novel to draw parallels between contemporary society and the fictional situations described. We also don’t find the romance enticing because of the morality of the plot. We read it for the sizzle. And sizzle this book has in abundance!

Due to the vampire characterization, most of the interactions have a touch of violence to them – the ultimate act of vampire intimacy is sharing their blood. So – in addition to the carnal acts that we are familiar with, there is the description of blood lust and fang-bearing and some blood drinking.

Having said that: I am not a fan of violent or “gory” stories, yet truly did not have a problem with any of the intimate scenes, including the ones that involved blood sharing.

There is a sexual undercurrent throughout the book, given the sensual nature of the vampire society. During their attempt to find a missing tracker, Lil and Alfonso visit a sex club and arrange to use a viewing room. Using the room will allow them to look for their colleague, but also requires them to have sex in front of an entire club of vampires and humans. While the outcome of that encounter is unexpected, it is certainly an interesting read!

Lil and Alfonso have a common novelized romance – complete with misunderstanding that drives them apart for many years and creates an atmosphere of longing and distrust. It also creates some amazing moments when they give in to their cravings. Please make sure you enjoy the hospital scene!

The plot twists and turns kept me turning the pages and the sizzle made the page turning worthwhile! Grab your copy today!

An apartment building full of supernatural creatures is bound to be a riot. When one supernatural moves out it seems like another moves right in, and when they move into the “love shack” sparks are guaranteed to fly.

Morgaine seems to be an unlikely mate of a vampire with her agoraphobia (fear of public places or leaving safe places) and nyctophobia (fear of the dark). Therefore, when she fancies the owner of the building’s vampire papa she is more than a bit confused. It could never work can it?

He is the kindest hearted and most genuine male in the building and story. I love that he refused to take handouts from others and is determined to figure out a way to do things himself. Especially with a daughter married to an athlete, he could have easily just let them take care of him. Moreover, he is somewhat of a tortured soul, with the tragic way he was forced to become a vampire and deal with the consequences for the rest of his life. Luckily, with Morgaine by his side he can find a little relief from his vampire vices as well as a little relief for his manly needs.

While I found the characters within this story entertaining, the plot was just a little on the dry side. I would like to have seen the plotline with Sly’s maker drawn out a little longer and a more climactic. It seemed to end a little too easily. The wine/whiskey making was the plot that really carried the story for me. I was just as excited to see a good mixture as well as the characters in the story.

The characters, whether they are main or supporting, really drive this story. With entertaining supernatural creatures around every corner this story is a real hoot, growl, spell and whatever else supernatural creatures do.

His planet is his prison…and only she can set him free.

The Fringe, Book 2

After a year, Michael “Overlord” Parker finally knows who’s been pilfering his black market goods. Astonishingly, the elusive Bandit of Taiga isn’t a man. It’s a woman, an infuriating spitfire who’s half in love with Michael’s overly romanticized reputation.

Remarkably Average Mary exudes an intoxicating scent that Michael can’t quite puzzle out, even with his unique ability. As long as she remains bound and blindfolded, he has the advantage—and the bonus of tormenting the bane of his existence.

Mary’s deceptively innocent face has never failed her. Yet somehow she’s at the mercy of a man she knows only as “Commander”. His demands are simple. Surrender her methods of banditry, or surrender her body. As his essence invades her intuitive ability—and her remaining senses—she becomes increasingly frantic to escape before she yields all that and more to her compelling captor.

Their sensual sparring ignites, and Michael finds himself wanting to erase Overlord’s myth from her fantasies in favor of the real man. But first he has to foil the slippery little devil’s escape attempts. And find out who’s been using her to unknowingly help the empire wipe him off the face of his own planet.

Captive or captor? Sometimes the lines blur when matters of the heart take over.

Take Remarkably Average Mary No Last Name, or so she’d been dubbed since a very young age. There’s nothing average about this kick-ass chick. An expert thief with a colorful vocabulary and the fighting skills of any trained assassin, she’s got a knack for scaring off any would-be bounty hunters and undermining even the most advanced security defenses, including those of Michael Parker’s. With a personal mission that means more to her than her own life, she’s not about to fall for the attractive, albeit infuriatingly arrogant, man who calls himself Commander. Determined to escape with not only her secrets but her heart intact as well, she knows she must outwit him and sets about undermining his advances at every turn. But escaping a place like Windmere and a man like the Commander is easier said than done, especially when he has a few secrets of his own and another agenda in mind, one that involves getting close to her in a manner she never anticipated.

Co-man-dur, that’s what Mary insists on calling him. One just needs to look side effects for cialis for the reliable platform like ukkamagra.com. Be it a man or a lady, cialis cheap uk http://respitecaresa.org/event/page/3/ a high libido is needed to support their sexual life. Michael knows she wants to get under his skin. Problem is; she’s succeeded, just not in the manner in which he’d intended. What started out as a game to pass the time, has turned into something a whole lot more serious. He’s never met a woman like Remarkably Average Mary, one that contradicts and challenges him at every angle, one that infuriates him to the point of wanting to strangle her, and one that sets his blood boiling with a savage need to dominate and control her in every intimate way imaginable. Although Michael has accumulated an obscene amount of wealth through some questionable means—more than any one man could ever want—it all came with a steep price. While his best friend serves as his conscience, so to speak, somehow, Remarkably Average Mary makes him all too aware of how much he still lacks in what matters most.

Book 2 in Anitra Lynn McLeod’s The Fringe series, Overlord is one of those stories that hooks you at the start with an exciting opening scene, then goes through a slower period of getting to know the characters before launching into some excitement once again. This is not one of those stories where the characters have an instant attraction, jump in the sack, then decide they’re in love. No way, this is one of those tales that grows on you, slowly building you up to the point where the climax is timed perfectly with the plot. There’s a lot of character development going on here, particularly with Michael. He does a lot of soul-searching and a lot of changing, all because of Mary. If there was one complaint I had, it was with Mary herself. On one hand, given her background and reasonable level of distrust, I understand why she did the things she did, but on the other hand, there were times I wanted to reach into the book and give her a good smack in the head. Alas, that is probably what makes this story so intriguing; it takes you through a gamut of emotions.

If there were any grammar/punctuation errors, they weren’t distracting enough to grab my attention. The author does a fine job with point-of-view shifts and setting description. Other than a few slow areas, this book was a good read and certainly sparked my interest in Ms. McLeod’s other stories in this series.

If you like an overbearing man with the idea that he can have whatever he wants, regardless the price, paired with a woman who’s hell bent on defying him at every opportunity and letting him know who’s really in charge, then grab a copy of Overlord by Anitra Lynn McLeod, you won’t be disappointed.
