When Angela was turned into a vampire she disappeared from Knox’s life before he could realize what she had become. Since he harbored a personal hate for vampires, Angela was afraid he wouldn’t accept her for what she was. Now, nearly a century later, the two come face to face again and must confront their feelings. With the history between the two main characters, the action and the romance are both believable and very fast paced, and kept me involved in the story from the very beginning. Angela’s reticence is also realistic. She’s spent ninety years believing one thing, only to be told and expected to believe without a doubt, something else in a very short time span.

With such a short story, we don’t get much more than a glimpse of other characters in the plot, but the main characters are very well drawn and intriguing enough that they hold your attention. Knox is a sexy, dominant man who is determined to win back the only woman he ever considered making his mate, and Angela is a cautious but intelligent and willful woman. She is willing to let Knox have the upper hand, but only if it suits her.

From the beginning you can tell how strongly these two felt about each other back when they were in a relationship, and ninety years later it’s just as obvious that their feelings haven’t changed. Those feelings have also never been dealt with by either of them. The author manages to convey all of this very skillfully, without drowning us in back story.

Destined Mate flows so smoothly that I was turning the last page before I even realized that I was at the end. With the vampire/werewolf politics, the hint of the possibility of war brewing on the horizon, the passionate exchanges between Knox and Angela and the non-stop action (whether romantic, political or physical), this book kept me hooked and made me a fan of this author and this series. The secondary characters are each individually crafted. Clio, the first soul-keeper, and mate to Talos’ brother, is sarcastic and witty, and a perfect friend for Bailey and her wise cracks. Each brother has his own unique and entertaining personality, and I look forward to hearing more about each of them.

There is also the quest that Bailey must undertake, set on her shoulders by her dead uncle, and the Trial of the Oracles where three of the brothers must compete. The dialog is fresh and fast moving, and I loved the email messages posted throughout the story, from the brothers to the oracle Phoenix, and his replies are hilarious.

I highly recommend this as well as the first book in the series, Poseidon’s Prophecy. But be prepared to laugh, cry and laugh some more at the give and take these characters share.

Marci is a strong and very intelligent woman. She is a summoner, but has been able to stay under the notice of the city authorities so far. But with the new genetic lottery, she realizes it is just a matter of time before her secret is revealed. She is willing to keep the status quo, until Gabe enters her life and turns it all upside down. I like Marci, and her determination to live her life her way once she is offered the opportunity.

Gabe is hot and sexy, and definitely nothing that Marci has seen before. He is determined to keep her safe, and not influence her decisions where he is concerned. But he forgets to be completely honest with her, and this could end up working to his disadvantage in the future. I liked Gabe, and his attempts to not use his demon magic to bind Marci to him. He is determined to allow her free will, and the ability to make her own choices, even if they don’t include him in her future.

This is a very interesting start to Moira Rogers’ newest series, and there is a lot of world building in it. I enjoyed meeting the people who inhabit this world, and look forward to meeting more of them as the series progresses. The secondary characters are all well crafted, but Marci and Gabe are the stars in this one. There is a bit of danger, a harrowing escape, and lots of steamy romance in this, and there is a happy ever after for Gabe and Marci after a few tense moments. I recommend this to anyone who likes romance with an edge.

With an over compassionate nature I sometimes found her a tad bit annoying and at other times endearing. This author definitely knows how to build sexual tension. From the first moment Jett and Roxanne meet I was already wishing they’d get down and dirty, but Ms. Grieve dragged the moment on and on until I was on the edge of my seat almost begging them to give in… and they finally did. Her control of the tempo in the story is masterful.

Unfortunately, though the ending was happy, the appearance of that ghost in the final chapter was something I found unnecessary and silly. However, the rest of the story with its humorous moments, hot sex and sweet cinnamon sugar scents makes up for that slip.

Overall, Dating 911, has a perfect dose of sweetness, hot tantalizing sex and love to make it a very worthwhile read for any moment.

The sex in this book is sizzling and definitely needs a “Hot” rating. It is also an integral part of the story, not just chucked in to make it more interesting. Without the sex the characters would appear shallow. Instead they took me to a corrupt future and showed me a world that is a definite possibility.

As I said at the beginning of this review Zero Factor is short and intense. I would also add it is definitely worth reading and would be a great introduction to reading futuristic and science fiction books.science fiction books.

Ms. Britton creates another fun and exiting adventure featuring characters in a racing sport. Overall the story is engaging and riveting.

I fell in love with The Chauffeur Wore an Evening Gown. It’s a sexy hot read that kept me captivated and had me hooked from the very first page.

There is something about an average woman finding her well-to-do prince charming. It is an ageless tale that never gets old for me. This story literally had the prince putting the gown on the woman, grabbing her hand and saying, “let’s go”.

Erin O’Malley is a woman of many talents. She can do finish work on construction sites, design landscapes and drive a limousine. Her family ties are strong and she is always there to help any of them in their time of need. Forcing her brother to take a night off when he has the flu leads her to becoming the faux fiancée of JR (Josh) Stone. She never dreamed that she would be donning an evening gown and diamonds just to keep the customer happy and by doing so getting her brother an exclusive chauffeuring contract with his firm.

Josh just got unceremoniously dumped by his fiancée. Now on the biggest night of his life he is without a date. The Chauffeur Wore an Evening Gown is a very lovely read. It had a great pace and flowed well, never seeming rushed or forced. Ms. Adams did an exceptional job with the telling of this story and I plan to look into her other titles. She writes romances with heart and with passion that burns you down to your toes. Circle of Desire is a fast paced romantic suspense. There’s strong language and violence, so be aware if you’re not into darker suspense books. The story is executed nicely, keeping readers on a wild goose chase for answers, and you never know what will happen next. This isn’t a typical love story. Olivia and Collin are very rough with each other, and in their own way, they show their feelings through that. It isn’t until much further into the novel that the two show a little bit more on the softer side of emotions.

The roughness and bickering at times was a little overdone, but overall, this intense story sizzled, and I enjoyed the high amount of suspense, secrecy, and deception. The sex scenes are very hot, pretty graphic but not quite to the extent of erotic. The characters could be considered tortured hero and heroine. I’m looking forward to reading the sequel when it comes out.

Definitely a regency worth reading. Florentina is true to her Spanish blood, full of fire and passion. Continuously pulled apart and pushed together, the pair are drawn into each others arms. The barrier between them is Florentina’s secret life and her willingness to put herself in danger for Adam’s sake.

While reading this story I could swear I was right there, watching their every move and wishing I could help. The new Duchess complicated the story and I longed to tell her what I thought of her, but I needn’t have worried. Both Adam and Florentina were aware of her tricks. Most of the characters showed a surprising side to their natures. This turned them from typical regency characters into real people and made the book much more enjoyable.

This book is a true regency but beware: it is definitely a sizzling hot read and should not be picked up by the faint-hearted.
