Ryan, a close friend and co-worker, assists her in piecing together her missing memories. As the pair work together, they find that Amy’s actual past reveals a scenario that is so horrifying that it forces them on the run, not knowing whom they can trust. Will Amy’s newly recalled memories prove fatal to both her and Ryan?

Morgan Wyatt’s new Love or Deception is a gripping, action-packed mystery-slash-suspense every bit as exciting as its awesome cover implies.

Amy and Mark are in love…at least, we know for sure Amy is in love with her wonderful, super-sexy husband, who appears to be as happy as she; for the few moments we see them together. Their magical time together might well be ‘the deception’ here, as much as anything; for too soon, she’s talking to a detective and trying to understand what might have happened. Mark is gone.

Startled, suspicions, and intrigued: we readers are hooked from the start. There must be some explanation. Amy is no fool, yet seems confused by events. As she begins to puzzle out what happened, she uses everything, even her own condition, as clues to possible events. Others are looking at her possible motivations, so not only does she want to find her husband, it is looking more and more like she needs to find him, to clear herself.

Some secondary characters are a bit wooden, but others, like Aunt Remy and a couple friends are well done; clearly ‘characters’ in their own right. As Amy regains her memory, we readers get a better look at her working life, and start to develop suspicions of our unknown. Her friends are also involved, and figure out some possible scenarios, themselves. Although the plot charges forward like any good thriller, truly the ‘love’ part of it all–as her chief motivation–shines throughout. Romance fans will not be disappointed.

Although it is unclear when her memory problems began, leaving many possibilities open; the clue-hunting, critical mystery-fan in me still admits this is both well-done and clever. Do plan to read.

I’ve not read many zombie books that aren’t, well, gross. I’ll be honest. Most zombie books are gore and yucky stuff. Not so with this book. Sam Cheever manages to make zombies cool and not so…Night of the Living Dead. Cheever’s writing was great. It flowed well and kept me entertained throughout. I had to know what would happen next for Audie and Yeira.

Audie…seems like maybe an odd name for a hero, but no. It fit him perfectly. In fact, I’d like to find an Audie of my own. I could see him in my mind and he was handsome. Oh and protective. Cheever wrote him sympathetically, but oh so alpha. I’m smitten.

Then there’s Yeira. She’s a kick butt chick. I loved her from page one. Yes, she’s a zombie, but there’s more to her story than meets the eye. I can’t reveal all, but suffice it to say, she’s my favorite character and one worth checking in to.

Now, I will caution this is book 2 of the Apocalyptic series, but don’t let that stop you. This was a great standalone book and I recommend it. There’s heat, heart and lots of action.

Shot by a Huntress, his wolf trapped within him, Dyami Storm is battling a poison that is eating him alive. His only hope is finding his mate, but without his wolf to guide him, he doesn’t know where to look.

On the run from Hunters and losing his fight against the poison, Dyami is in a race against time to convince Summer her power could change the course of the war…and that his fate is in her hands.

A rock star with a secret!

Dyami or Dy for short is not just any normal rock star drummer. He’s a wolf. A wolf in a lot of pain. He’s willing to do anything to distract himself and his wolf from the poison in his body. However, when he sees Summer, his mate, inside the tattoo shop… Everything changes.

Summer was a restless tattoo artist who moved from place to place looking for something until she arrived in town. She immediately felt at home when she arrived. But when she met the local famous drummer at her tattoo shop she felt something else entirely. Too bad her boyfriend picked that moment to walk in. This is the day her life did a 360 turn.

The first thing in my mind when I finished reading Spell Weaver was that I have to read more. It was a very good book but the only problem I had was that there seemed to be a lot of missing background info. Between the plot, the characters and the chemistry between Dy and Summer I almost forgot about the background info. It was that good but in the end it still wasn’t quite complete since there were unanswered questions.

Considering this is the fourth book in this series I think it might be understandable. The questions I had could have been answered in the first three books. Just in case, I would suggest that readers start the series from the beginning.

In my opinion Spell Weaver is a descriptive read that will engage each of the readers in an urban fantasy world that will draw them back to this series time and again.

I really wish that Don’t Let Go was longer, I would of loved to keep reading about Annalee’s life.

Annalee has put on a brave face after her messy divorce, so much so that even she thinks she is fine. When her best friends younger brother Eric comes back in to town, Annalee starts to think of ways that can help her move on – for real this time.

This was a good second chance love story. It’s all about right timing and finally being ready to put a little faith into the opposite sex – not all guys can be as bad as her slime-ball of an ex-husband…right?

Annalee and Eric’s story was really sweet. What she did for him at his senior prom when he was a geeking high school kid with a shutter really seemed like something right out of a fairytale.

The author’s writing style is brilliant, I absolutely loved the characters and their back stories. Ms Raines fit so much in to this book and I couldn’t put it down once it hooked me.

Don’t Let Go is a fun and quick read that I enjoyed immensely. This fabulous novella is a cute read with a great romance that I just couldn’t get enough of.

He’s on his way to having it all… but the only thing he wants is her.

Cole Kennrick’s career is soaring as the lead singer of indie-rock band Ink & Iron. He’s been through it all: sex, drugs and rock and roll, overindulging until he lost the only thing that mattered. Now he’s pulled his life together and left his addictions behind—except for one: his ex-wife, Janie.

But Janie knows more than most that a rock star can never be more than a fantasy. When she runs into Cole again, can he convince her that what they have is real, and true love never dies?

I enjoyed this book. It was a second chance at love romance that pulled me into the story right from the beginning.

While this book was a light read for me, it covered some serious material that really packed an emotional punch. Cole Kennrick, bad boy rock and roller, is back to claim the woman he lost but never stopped loving. It’s been years since his addictive lifestyle of sex, drugs, and rock and roll ultimately cost him his marriage to Janie, the love of his life. Now it’s six years clean and sober and Cole wants another chance. Janie still loves Cole, but she is afraid to trust him again. Their road back to happiness is a bumpy and sometimes painful one that made this such a good read.

It was a romantic story that flirted with a light BDSM element. While it had a lot of steamy sex scenes, the author kept them secondary to the plot which was about getting love right the second time around. It’s about redemption and learning to trust again. Love and trust can be hard for any couple, but these two had years heartache and loss to overcome. Then came the inevitable train wreck that had me majorly ticked at Janie for a while.

This book was well written and had an easy flow. It was short, but had very charasmatic characters that made up for the length of the story. Yes, I fell hard for Cole. The bad boys get to me every time, and since there is always one character that captures my heart, this time it was Cole. It was also an emotional read as Cole and Janie had a reckoning of sorts.

All in all, I liked this book. It was a good read for this happy reader.

But when a devastating secret from their past threatens their future, Shep must fight to heal Hannah’s heart. Because this time, their love will truly be unforgettable…

Shep and his romance with Hannah were indeed unforgettable and it was a pleasure to read their story.

Shep and Hannah’s summer romance proved to be more than just a fling, in more ways than one. It left a strong mark on both of them and neither is capable to ever really forget what they’d shared that summer long ago. When they again meet thirteen years later, their chemistry is still there although Hannah tries to fight it at all cost. But Shep is unrelenting. He wants her back and he’ll do anything to keep her this time. This was a characteristic that made me really like Shep.

Hannah, too, was an intriguing character and I could identify with her cautiousness when it came to Shep. She’d been burned before and she didn’t want a repeat of that. But her reluctance to tell him the truth about the events from thirteen years ago annoyed me because she had no good reason to keep it from him. But all that was forgiven when she realized she was prepared to give up her life to stay with Shep.

The emotional development of the characters is intense and will keep you invested in their story even though the pace slumps in the second half of the novel. Although this book is part of a series, it can easily be read as a standalone, but the rest of the characters made me want to read their stories too.

The wealth of emotions in Unforgettable will make you feel with the characters and root for their happy ending.

But once her secrets meet his, society might consider their lives to be ruined beyond repair…while Geoffrey might just see it as a new beginning.

Two imperfect wrongs just might make the best right of all.

Julia London writes engaging characters sure to charm the reader. This was definitely the case with this book. I loved them, I hated them and at times I wanted to put the book down, but I’m glad I saw it through. The writing is crisp. The characters are imperfect and frankly, this was a good book.

Grace is unique. She’s feisty and knows what she wants. Initially, she wasn’t one of my favorites because well…trapping a man in marriage seemed…silly. She’s so forthright otherwise, why doesn’t she stick to what works or better yet, find a guy who likes her pluckiness? That aside, I grew to enjoy her character and liked how she worked with Jeffery. They didn’t seem to me to be suited for each other, but that’s what I liked–seeing them having to coexist.

Jeffery…where do I begin? The guy has issues. I liked how the author tackled his form of OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) because it made him realistic. People have issues. His fixation with seeing women tied up and in sexual situations was new, but it’s not really heavy BDSM. Honestly, he just likes a little satin mixed in. Honestly, I have yet to meet a guy who doesn’t see most everything in a sexual fashion. I didn’t dislike Jeffery, but he was hard to take at times.

Still, this made for a good read and one I’d pick up again.

If you like books that are a little off the beaten path and sure to please, then this might be the book for you.

That said the characters were likeable and attractive (not only in the physical sense). I would have loved to see more interaction between Jane and her friends. It would also have been great if there were more scenes that showed the reasons for her nickname.

A code exists that could endanger the lives of millions and put the whole nation in a panic…Death is there for whoever knows the code.

The Demeter Code is the third book in this series. This book begins CIA operatives Ridley Fox and Doctor Nita Parris, both have been sent to track down dangerous perpetrators/terrorists. This mission leads them on a chase around the world trying to uncover a web of conspiracy that has been weaved around a code. A code that is related to countless deaths around the country. Any knowledge about the code has them immediately put under a kill list. There was loads of tension and tense moments in this novel. It kept me on the edge of my seat to see what would happen next.

This has a very complex plot. Lots of layers. I had to hold tight and read carefully to really understand what all was happening. Ridley Fox is an operative with some serious skills. Some of them being his undercover skills and his knowledge of various languages. Doctor Nita Parris, compared to Fox who is more a spy/undercover operative/soldier, she has a couple of doctorates and the added ability of being a weapons analyst and field agent. A very talented lot.

Parris and Fox are not only partners but also friends. This mission tests their friendship and puts them in peril and the potential loss of their career when they stretch themselves and their abilities to the absolute limit. It also tests Fox and his mental power to say the least. He has already been hurt once before. I became totally absorbed in the story to see if he would be able to stay professional or would he give in to his emotions.

The Demeter Code surprised me several times.

Espionage, politics, pandemic, action, adventure… all of the elements of an ultimate action thriller. Readers who enjoy a good nail biter with a healthy dose of heat should give this on a try.

Levi struggles with his new, tender feelings toward Trudy and worries that she might be in over her head with him and with the case they’re working on.

Because if Trudy can see through the killer’s eyes, can the killer see her?

I really loved the premise of this story! I’m a huge sucker for psychic detectives, so I grabbed this immediately and couldn’t wait to dive in.

I liked our main characters well enough as the book progressed, though they weren’t easy to like right off the bat. Trudy seemed a little uptight at first. She has a lot of responsibility and reasons to be the way she is, so it made sense the more I got to know her and she really dislikes Levi from the get go. Levi was your typical alpha male: arrogant, so hot women from miles around wanted to rip of their clothes for him, confident and occasionally irritating but in a manner that mostly came across as charming.

The mystery was decent, though I did figure out the villain who was creepy enough to be satisfying in this type of book. Along with loving psychic detectives, I adore creepy serial killers in my books. This one fits the bill and then some, and I loved being able to climb instead his crazy head via his connection with Trudy.

The only real draw back for me was the constant sex. From the start the characters are thinking about sex, talking about sex or having sex constantly. I have no issue with sex in books, but in a romantic suspense, the romance and suspense should be more evenly balanced, and here the sex frequently completely smothered the mystery. I wouldn’t call this erotic romance as the sex is all pretty kink-free (the descriptions don’t lack, though, and there’s plenty of dirty talk), so if you’re a fan of sweeter romance, this won’t be for you.

Also, be prepared–this is book one of a series, and this book does not wrap up the relationship between Trudy and Levi. Good thing there’s another book in the series!

All in all, though, I really did enjoy the book. Had the sex been a little less plentiful and the mystery given a little more page time, the rating for this book would have been higher.
