So, she quits her job and takes a few weeks off from being her usually cautious, calculated self to just live a little. There’s only one problem- it’s not at all like she thought it would be. Needing a little reminder of what it feels like to be young and impulsive she decides to take a chance on a fling with the charming, wealthy, and extremely disarming Clark Lennox. She thinks she can keep her feelings from spoiling her fun, but when it comes time to do so it isn’t as easy as it seems. Clark is determined that she is going to be his and she is having a hard time resisting.Follow the story as a fling helps Aubrey make some of the hardest and truest decisions of her life.

If I have to tag this story I would use following words and phrases: older rich man, younger woman, hot sex, instant love. Some Sugar, Some Spice is very fast and enjoyable read. The plot is quite simple. Aubrey Drew meets Clark Lennox. She decides to have a fling with him, so they go out together. They have really super-hot sex and then they decide to give their relationship a try.

Simple plot does not mean story without issues. On the contrary, the author manages to deal with two issues that are taboo, in a way, and are often criticize by society. One is relationship between younger woman and older man. In this story it was 25 years plus age difference. And second, closely connected with the first one is independent young girl having relationship with very, very rich man. Taking into account the length of the story, the author did a good job in rising and solving these two issues. They were resolved in very satisfying manner, without too much drama. Characters are also fairly good written. The story is told from the third person POV, but the voice of the heroine is dominant. Her character is more developed while hero’s stayed in the shadow.

I have to admit that there were a few eye-rolling moments while reading Some Sugar, Some Spice One of them was when Aubrey came to Clark’s house and she suddenly realize that Clark is super rich, although he was driving her in his Bentley and Aston Martin. Luckily, moments like these were in minority and they can be easily removed by editing the story one more time.

All in all this was fast and satisfying read. Great for a beach.

Sometimes dream crushes do come true.

Vegas Nights, Book 1

Reagan can’t believe her luck—and not in a good way. One minute she’s hanging out with her friends at an exclusive party in Las Vegas. The next, she’s attracted the attention of a famous actor. Not just any actor. Declan Carter, the man on which she used to—okay, might still—have a fangirl crush. Whose blue eyes leave her embarrassingly tongue tied.
These pharmacy stores carry through consultation to determine the kind of ads that open buying generic viagra up after a page is loaded, or when you leave a site or close your browser. All Declan wants is to meet a nice, normal woman who won’t use him as a stepping stone to fame. Something about Reagan tells him she could be that rare woman, and he follows his instinct to invite her back to his suite—where they proceed to have wild monkey sex. All. Night. Long.

What was supposed to be one night of no-regrets sex stretches out into a blissful weekend of two people who can’t get enough of each other. But when the glamour of Sin City wears off, they’re standing on the edge of a once-in-a-lifetime chance to turn a weekend fling into something lasting. Will they take the jump?

Declan Carter, famous actor, was the man of Regan’s dreams. She might be on a flighty holiday weekend in Vegas, but Regan knows the smoldering attraction between herself and Declan can only be a passing fancy. Her real life is the graveyard shift as a nurse and sleeping through the day when everyone else got to live their life. But with a sexy cocktail dress and with some friends at a fancy party, Regan stumbles into Declan and suddenly her Vegas trip is looking far better than she’d believed possible.

This is a fun and steamy story. While the whole “girls weekend at Vegas” and “normal girl meets hot famous guy” angles aren’t exactly new, I still found myself interested – both by Regan’s character and Declan’s lack of arrogance. Declan might be a famous actor, but he’s been through a rough patch and so lacks a lot of the arrogant and cocky characteristics similar heroes can be flawed by.

The sex is steamy and I found it really well written. Not flouncy or flowery – but hot and sexy. This definitely isn’t a story I’d lend to my mother! For all that though, I didn’t find it pushed the envelope, straddling that thin line between erotic and very sensual – and for me personally, it stayed on the line of sensual. The sex is graphic though, and for more pure romance readers it might be a bit too hot.

There’s some clear hint-dropping about Regan’s two girlfriends. Although the three women came to Vegas together for a girls-weekend all three of them hook up the first evening so there’s two other stories loosely linked with this one, but this is easily read as a stand alone novel. My only real complaint was how the plot seemed fairly standard. While I found myself interested in the story itself, it was nothing fresh, new or different. Also, I found myself a little miffed at Regan’s reaction to her return to reality. When Regan and Declan parted, Declan had explained he needed a certain amount of time to settle into his new movie role. Before that agreed upon time had passed she was already bitter and writing him off. It soured a lot of my view on her character. Not just because she couldn’t be patient, but that he’d been honest and up-front about needing some time, and before those weeks had passed she was impatient and doubting him. It felt a little too much like a forced-upon conflict point (and an unfair one of Regan to make), rather than a natural by-product of a new relationship experiencing issues/strain.

Having said that, I really did find this for the most part as a fun, lighthearted, sexy story well worth my time to read. I enjoyed the author’s voice and style, the plot moved along at a decent pace, and you can never really go wrong with a story set in Vegas. Outside of a few issues, I found this to be a great story and a good, solid read.

It’s not until she meets Holt—a massive, muscular, totally gorgeous werecougar—that she realizes she really will become a cat lady, and he absolutely drives her crazy.

Werecougar Holt Moore’s animal is restless and craves things that scare the shit outta him: a mate, cubs, and a white picket fence. It doesn’t seem to remember that cougars are solitary animals in the wild, which also applies to his human half. His cat is too dominant to tolerate other shifters and when he’s on two legs, he towers over every human he meets. He’s big and mean and that’s how he likes it. Then he meets Chloe—curvy, luscious, human Chloe—and realizes he needs to add “possessive” and “biggest asshole on the planet” to his list of traits. Well, not all relationships are smooth sailing.

Need a little amusement in your life? Looking for a quick romance to swoon over? Enjoy mothers embarrassing their daughters? How about families that love each other so much they go overboard and cause problems by pulling off over the top stunts in pursuit of protection of their loved ones? Readers get all that in more in this little gem by Ms. Kyle and Ms. Carter. Yes, Wanting a Mate has some sexy hotness within its pages but this story is just plain fun to read. I practically had a smile plastered on my face throughout most of the book. It made me happy.

First I laughed at the term, Mr. Buick, then I giggled at the antics of Chloe’s mom, and just adored the way the heroine was open and accepting of everything about the hero, Holt. I liked that he was a big, bad, scary dude that no one messed with except Chloe. She had no fear of him. It’s that openness and enthusiasm for life that I found charming about their relationship. Holt loved her for who she was, and she him. There were no preconceptions or miscommunications. I think some of that might have been Chloe’s mom’s influence. She wanted grandbabies in the worst way and her support of her daughter’s willingness to mate with a shifter might have made the heroine more open to the possibility than most. Her mom reminded me of a 60s love guru – peace, love, and all that. To top it all off, her mom showed up in the most unexpected places and it gave me fits of giggles. I’ve read many a story about a manipulative parent but Choe’s mom broke the mold.

Wanting a Mate is a crowd pleaser; it really is. It’s quirky, lighthearted, and optimistic, and the sexy shenanigans between Holt and Chloe were well written and entertaining scenes. Mating is a growly, sweaty and sensual business but the authors still managed to imbue those passion filled moments with humor and charm. This is such an awesome story even though it moves at a fast clip. It’s not deep, but it’s huge on appeal and the relationship between the hero and heroine is engaging. I’m a satisfied reader.

Christine Jarrods wants to be a writer of paranormal young adult fiction so she’s pursuing a degree in English. By day, she tackles Chaucer. By night, she stalks the streets looking for something magical to inspire her muse. Finding a thread that suggests one of her profs might be some flavor of shifter, she decides to dig…even though she’s been warned to let it go.

Oliver Standish has a secret. Like a lot of guys his age, he’s scraping by, delivering pizzas, trying to pay off loans from a failed attempt at school, and crushing on Chrissy—the one that got away in high school. Only his family knows he’s also trying to deal with being a shifter…he sure can’t tell Chrissy. With her fascination with magic, he knows she’d want to know more about it—but how do you tell a girl who wants to find a monster that you change into a skunk?

The title alone made me giggle, the blurb intrigued me but the story thoroughly entertained me. I really liked the whole progression of Her Sexy Skunk.
Well, buy levitra in usa http://cute-n-tiny.com/cute-animals/bear-friends/ these enhancers enable temporary relief only. cialis 60mg They also provide essential nutrients to the reproductive organs. This condition may cause hyperthyroidism or cheapest viagra price overactive thyroid disease. Drugs that reduce inflammation such as ibuprofen and aspirin are quite helpful online cialis more info here for joint pain, especially when there’s inflammation taking place.
For readers who like the premise of friends turned lovers, Her Sexy Skunk delivers. For those that like geeks turned heroes, this little book has that too. There is so much to like in this tale, I totally enjoyed myself.

Chrissy is a wannabe romance writer, specifically a paranormal romance author, but there’s a couple of roadblocks to her dream. She doesn’t know a thing about actual romance because she’s never been in love, and she can’t seem to put her own stamp on a paranormal theme because she doesn’t have anything to research. It’s all fantasy, right? The heroine doesn’t count on the fact that shifters are real and they intend to kill her. How did a bookish heroine become embroiled in were-politics? I really liked what Ms. Nelson came up with.

Ollie is not a common name but it fit the hero. He certainly comes across as timid initially, but when Chrissy is in danger his inner beast isn’t afraid of protecting the woman who he believes is his own. Personally, I adore skunks – I think they’re cute, cuddly and I love how they waddle as they walk. But, I also know that they are not passive little bundles of fur – their spray can blind and their claws can rend and tear with efficiency. So, a wereskunk isn’t that far of a stretch for a hero – it just means he’s doubly cute and impressively aggressive when he needs to be.

The only thing that I wished was different would be how Professor Snipper was handled. References about the teacher are what started the plot moving along but that thread got dropped midway and was not picked up again. Why would Chrissy’s comments cause her the problems they did? What was really going on with Mr. Snipper and why would anyone mention anything on a public forum if humans weren’t supposed to know anything at all? Those loose ends and unexplained relationships plagued me but as this was a short story, I’m guessing they were sacrificed so that the story remained focused on the growing romance between Ollie and Chrissy.

I enjoyed the sensual buildup and the start and stops of their relationship. They’re both unsure, yet it’s clear the attraction is simmering and about to boil over. When it finally does, I was tickled with the vehicle the author chose to get them together. Childhood games aren’t always restricted to kids and the results were fun and sexy.

Her Sexy Skunk is cute, sensually pleasing, sultry yet amusing and is a book easy to recommend to other readers. The ending is a happy for now because I think there’s a bit more hanky-panky that needs to happen before the final HEA. I’m left in no doubts that it’s going to happen though. Ollie and Chrissy are good together. Her Sexy Skunk is lighthearted and charming and a nice story to spend an afternoon with. I’m happy I did.

He discovers that there is innocence and beauty and love still to be found. It’s real and worth fighting for. That is the journey and the reality that Eli comes to grips with during the course of this very intense and exciting novel.

Cat’s Lair is a standalone read within Ms. Feehan’s Leopard series. This story is about a man determined to catch a criminal and will do anything to get the job done. What he doesn’t count on is losing his heart along the way. Catarina is the heroine who must overcome her early conditioning of fear and terror by the man who would own her, and embrace all the freedom, love and safety found within Eli’s embrace. It’s not an easy task to get Cat to trust Eli, especially when he messes up big time in the beginning. The romance comes from his willing to do anything and everything to make it up to the heroine and then some. Eli has to open up himself to hurt and betrayal if he’s going to have any hope of reaching Cat’s heart and nurturing her love. What makes his pursuit of her difficult is his own personality – Eli is an alpha in every sense of the word – in and out of bed. That extreme alpha-ness is one of Ms. Feehan’s trademarks when she crafts her heroes. They are towers of strength and seem invincible, until the right woman comes along and the man turns to mush. That’s my favorite part.

The one aspect of Eli’s personality that readers might find rough to read about is his unabashed, unapologetic and dominating personality. He’s about as un-P.C. as a man can get. Even though no fetish paraphernalia was used, the dominant/submissive relationship was very much evident, from Eli’s commands and demands, and Cat’s acquiescence and submission. He expected her to do has he commanded because she loved him and she cared for him and yes, she submitted to his demands 100%, once he had gained her trust, because she loved him and he loved her. Quite a few times I thought Eli was way over the top and it made me grit my teeth. The hero was right though – Cat was the only woman for him because she ‘got’ him, and her nurturing personality fed a need in him that he jealously guarded and wanted to horde. He was driven to protect her at all costs, and as such, he came across as an overbearing brute. Yes, Cat eventually gave it back to him, and yes, it turns out that he was justified in pushing her as hard as he did. But after a while I got tired of Eli’s demands. It just went on too long. I guess I could only take so much ‘alpha-ness’.

Rafe, the bad guy, was a product of a bad youth. Many people have bad starts in life but manage to come out on top. Rafe, on the other hand, found it easier to go with the drives of his leopard and justified everything he chose to do on his animal. He really didn’t know how to be anything other than what he was, which was sad. That’s as far as I go for empathy for the villain. He was vicious, cruel, and had no concept of mercy. Cat’s opinion of him smacked more of Stockholm Syndrome than anything else, and I’m glad she eventually came to her senses.

As for the physical side of things, wow, did that cover a lot of pages. If Ms. Feehan’s fans are looking for hot and heavy action between the sheets, kitchen or wherever, they’ll have plenty of opportunities to enjoy the passion and sex because it’s sprinkled liberally throughout the novel and the details are as descriptive and well written as anyone could wish. Again, I think I OD’d on the love scenes. I like some of the loving action because I could see the bond being forged between Eli and Cat, however, I can only read so many of them before my eyes glaze over. They’re all well done and sexy, don’t get me wrong, I just have a limit and by the end of the book I was saturated.

I liked Cat’s Lair because it delivered what I’ve come to expect from a romance by Ms. Feehan. The plots are always meaty, with a darkness and seriousness that grips a reader while exploring a romance that is satisfying and sexy. There’s always an over the top villain to overcome and the action that accompanies that usually has me biting my nails; Cat’s Lair was no exception. Whether you’re a fan or a reader who likes shifter romances with suspense and drama, this is one good read not to miss.

But when she’s forced to work alongside him to help battle the deadly Invictus wraith-pairs, her love for him rises once more. Yet, can she ever trust him again, when he swears she enthralled him that fateful night?

Talk about a plot surprise! Who knew that their love was being thwarted on purpose? This latest adventure from Ms. Roane is another winner and a continuation of the stellar and amazing Blood Rose series. Mastyr vampire Ian and the Ruby Fae, Megan are front and center in the battle against the evil Margetta and the stakes are higher than ever before. How exciting!

This novel actually picks up where the previous one, Embrace the Wind left off. Regan was kidnapped and no one knew how or where to find her. Since the evil fae isn’t known for her kindness or mercy, it was a given that Regan was either dead or about to be, so Ian’s reaction at the end of the previous book was surprising. Fast forward to Embrace the Hunt and the reason why becomes a lot clearer yet more mysterious and convoluted at the same time. It’s an attention grabber.

The author wastes no time and putting a reader into the middle of the action. An impossible rescue is about to happen and help comes from an unexpected source. In fact, on an aside, I just found out that the reason for the success of this escape inspired a new novella coming soon, so I’m all aquiver with excitement! But, back to Ian and Regan. There is a definite love/hate, push/pull dynamic going on and a reader feels their torment, especially Regan’s. I understood Ian’s POV but I couldn’t understand how it could be so firm and fresh after all these years – until the great revelation. The revealed truth warranted use of a fainting couch. Never could I have imagined the scope of the villain’s treachery. Ms. Roane did have Regan suspect something but at the same time, the heroine was just as susceptible as the hero to the veil of deceit. So tragic and sad, yet a perfect plot conflict.

Davido showed up in this installment like he has in others in the series but this time, it was just to provide a breather. Both Davido and his wife, who are very likeable and fun to read about, guide just a little bit but this time they leave the heavy and hard stuff up to Ian and Regan to wade through and figure out. It was a smart way to write it because Regan and Ian’s working together proved that there is something stronger between them that they needed to discover, embrace and use all on their own for it to be effective and as powerful as it could be. There is no doubt though that I enjoy it whenever Davido and Vojalie visit the current hero and heroine. At least this time, they weren’t used as a plot crutch. The conflict in Embrace the Hunt is strong and effective and the main characters’ personalities carried the burden of all the drama and suspense on their own.

Embrace the Hunt is also sexy, sultry and flaming hot when Ian and Regan succumb to their passions. Yes, being a Blood Rose inspires a greater need and lust but what delights me is that in this book, the Blood Rose effect only exacerbates a hot passion that existed prior to its development. Ian and Regan are explosive together and I enjoyed every one of their kisses and clinches.

Embrace the Hunt should not be missed, especially by fans of the series. It’s gripping, action packed and has quite a few surprises in store for readers. The quality of writing is solid and the dialogue is entertaining. I can’t think of a single thing that didn’t work for me. I enjoyed myself immensely and highly recommend this to other paranormal romance readers who like a story with bite, action and a satisfying happy ever after – until the final battle that is. It’s coming, and I can’t wait.

This was a very entertaining book that got me hooked on the series.

The author blended in everything needed to keep me engaged throughout this book. It was an easy read with lots of drama, romance, angst, and humor. The story had a unique spin on the usual shifter plot and wrote this one as a second chance at love romance. Garret and Lennox were best friends once but never admitted their true feelings until it was much too late. Their friendship was irrevocably broken when Garret married someone else and Lennox was left alone. Years have gone by and they are thrown together again. The connection is still there but the hurt feelings, other people and major baggage get in the way.

This book was well written with interesting characters and charming banter that made it a lovely read. I really enjoyed the humor and found myself laughing out loud at some of the scenes. It had interesting secondary characters that livened up the story quite a bit and also has me anxious to read the second book in this promising new series. I hope it’s about Ian because I felt so bad for him and would love to see him get a happy ending.

This book was fun and interesting to read. I am happy to recommend it to everyone.

Danger ignites a passion neither of them can refuse.

Her determination to shield her child from the ugliness of her past takes a hit when a man claiming to be her late husband’s son barges through her front door.

A friend’s invitation for a weekend getaway is a welcome chance to regroup, or so Ava thinks. But she soon finds herself caught in a circle of her dead husband’s secrets and lies that threaten to cost her everything. And her only safe haven is the one place she vowed she’d never go—Dominic’s arms.

A relationship that was almost impossible.

Ava is a widow of a mob boss and a mother. Her life has never been easy, but the day that a man claiming to be the son and heir of her dead husband comes knocking on her door wanting his inheritance, it undermines her present and past and her daughter’s future. When her daughter’s future is threatened she’ll use anything at her disposal to get the results she wants.  However when her life is at stake, it’s Dominic who comes to her rescue. Match made in heaven.

There are so many twists and turns in this book! I loved it, though at times it did feel a little complex and kept me on my toes till the very last page.

Eva and Dominic have a chemistry that was not really evident from the first page but when their passion did show it was sizzling. Their relationship is not easy but it develops and I could see it develop a little more over every chapter. The ending is worth the surprise.

I would very much recommend it to any reader who loves a little zing in their books.

“His voice, Dilly, it was… growly. Like real growly. It got me tingling.”

Life for curvy, witty, just-fine-by-herself-thank-you-very-much Delilah Coltrane has fallen into a slightly boring, but comfortable routine. She runs stadium stairs, she drinks a little too much and is a karaoke master. But for Dilly, a reluctant ice sculptor, the routine is starting to turn into a rut.

Jake Somerset is a man caught between two worlds. When his father died, he inherited both his spot as head of a massively successful tech company… and as the alpha of a pack of rowdy, half-crazed werewolves. Jake figures the best way to say “I’m The Boss” is to get a giant statue made of himself. He walks into Delilah’s studio, and straight into her heart.

The big, growly, adorably cocky billionaire is exactly what Dilly never knew she wanted, until he walked through her door with his dark curls, steely silver eyes, and shoulders broad enough to stop her dead in her tracks. And yeah, his voice is growly enough to get her tingling in all the right places.

While the two indulge in a whirlwind romance, a threat brews on the fringes. Jake’s brother – the exiled alpha-wannabe Dane – wants to take back the pack. Once he finds out about Delilah, Dane won’t stop with controlling the pack… he’s gunning for his brother’s mate.

Will the unlikely pair survive a war with the brutal and murderous rogue wolf? Or will their match made in heaven turn into a match made in hell?

Nothing makes me grin ear to ear than the use of Shatner and Hasselhoff. Ms. Red has a tendency to make me laugh whenever I read one of her books and Werewolf Wedding is no exception. The clever quips and comments she graces her characters with always keep me coming back for more.

This story is kind of typical for a werewolf romance; they eat a lot, growl a lot and have hot tempers. Jake’s werewolf isn’t quite as hot headed as is tradition however and believe it or not, that is one of the conflicts. How can an alpha be so level headed? When he has great character. That’s the conclusion I came to.

Delilah is part delightful and part fluff. She’s truly the kind of a person who I’d want as a friend because she’s steadfast and loyal and she has a quirky sense of humor. She also has a very accepting nature which is fortunate as she has a ton of new information to accept about her life and her future role as a werewolf’s wife. I enjoyed the snippet about the ice dolphin.

Overall, Werewolf Wedding was a fun read. I was entertained, it kept my interest and for the most part I liked getting to know the characters.

I’ve enjoyed most of Ms. Red’s books that I’ve read so far but this one had a few things which made my eyes roll and my breath huff out in exasperation. First, the villain, Jakes brother – he’s either bad or redeemable – there has to be something that gives a reader a clear picture and I got a waffle. The heroine kept noticing details which could have lent credence to a redeemable character but the guy’s words, actions, treatment of Delilah and unrepentant brutish arrogance blew that idea of redemption out of the water and into the stratosphere. I absolutely despised his character. That Delilah’s friend kept making certain types of comments about him made me angry. I didn’t find him alluring or sexy and I absolutely felt no sympathy for him whatsoever. When he had a hold of the heroine’s wrists, the dialogue that occurred thereafter really got my back up. It was out of place and it made the heroine sound like a … I’m at a loss for words. All I can say is, it didn’t complement the storyline. What it did do, and was quite effective, was paint Jake’s brother as a first class villain and he deserved it with a capital V.

Fortunately, there were other secondary characters that I truly enjoyed and respected, like Jake’s mom. She’s a wonderful asset to this book and I wish I could have seen more of her. She has hidden depths and nothing showcased that more effectively than the one sentence after Jake left the room. I can see which side of the family Jake took after. Then there was Barney, the butler. I have fond thoughts for his character, as well as Jeanette, despite her taste in men. They were the bright spots in the novel in addition to Delilah and Jake.

Be ready to use some ice cubes however, because when Jake and Delilah finally, finally finish all the steps of their mating, it was quite steamy and sexy, hence the hot rating.

Werewolf Wedding has its solid moments of pure perfection and fun, making it worth reading. The not-so-great stuff didn’t detract from the romance – it was solid enough to retain my interest as well as keeping me amused and smiling for most of it. I’m glad I read it just because it had a lot of things I do like to see in a romance and Ms. Red made sure they were there for me to find. Because of that, I’d recommend this little nugget to other paranormal romance fans for them to read too.
