I’m going to mail this book to my mother. She was the one that got me hooked on romance books and this is more her type of book than mine. She enjoys historical romances of adventure and faith. The kind of love story that warms your heart while inspiring your love for God. Tales that leave you with more than just a happily ever after. It’s one of hope, justice and redemption in Jesus Christ.

I know my mom would enjoy the characters that displayed endurance through hardships through prayer while showing discipleship to others. Her favorite television show was Little House on the Prairie.

The Outlaw’s Second Chance
would meet all her expectations and more. Not only was it well written, it was also entertaining. I just know she’d recommend this book to her Christian friends.

Speaking for myself, I prefer a book with a little bit more sensual chemistry between the hero and heroine. Perhaps that’s why my mom prays for my soul, LOL. The hero, Cort Stanton, has a past that he’s running from. Aubrey Huxley, the heroine, is also running from her past but they are both running for completely different reasons and looking for different outcomes. They are both stubborn and pigheaded so it was interesting to see how they could overcome their obstacles, to be able to give their hearts to each other. Praise God they saw the light.

I have to be transparent. I obtained this book out of desperation. I forgot to bring a book on our camping trip. I found a lending library box at the camp store. It was the only romance paperback there and the cover looked aesthetically pleasing. The synopsis on the back sounded interesting so I snagged it. I didn’t even realize it was a Christian romance. I’ve read a few in my lifetime so I gave it a try. What choice did I have? I needed something to pass the time. The best thing about taking that chance was the outcome; I was pleased because it ended up being a good read. Yes, there was scripture written in the story but it wasn’t holier than thou, in your face, making me feel like a sinner who needed to repent, kind of book.

In conclusion, if you love innocent, sweet, Christian books then this one is a winner. I’ve never read a book by Angie Dicken before but I’d consider reading another book by her. I can easily recommend The Outlaw’s Second Chance.

This story may be originally from 2006 but the characters, story, plot and happy ever after are as entertaining and worth reading as ever. I adore discovering older romances because not only can I get them at a bargain price, novels like this are awesome brain candy and perfect escapism – something I find myself in need of these days.

This story is a classic – older brother protecting his younger brother from a gold digger. Of course, things are not always as they seem, assumptions are made, wires are crossed and rampant emotions muck up a perfectly innocent situation. It’s how the author has her characters jump through hoops, the dialogue between everyone, both internal and external, and the supporting cast’s roles that make this story work.

The triangle is between Emma, Piers and Lawrence. Emma thinks Lawrence is being wronged, Piers thinks Emma is in the wrong, Lawrence convinces Emma that Piers is in the wrong and Emma finds out that both of them in their own way are in the wrong about her. Now how is this going to work out? Why is everyone in the wrong? Is everyone taking advantage of each other in different aspects? Just where is that money that everyone is all concerned about coming from and going to? The trail is blurred by assumptions and the truth causes Piers to experience stunned shock. Serves him right. I enjoy seeing an arrogant alpha male have the wind taken out of his sails. It’s how he handles it that makes him either a hero or a jerk.

The Wealthy Man’s Waitress has a satisfying happy ever after once the whole unvarnished truth is revealed. Piers finally figures out why he was so obsessed with Emma and Emma sees Piers isn’t the ice man she thought him initially, in fact he is the exact opposite of ice; and Lawrence is finally seen as the man he truly is. Everything works out and all is right in the world of romance. I’m a satisfied reader.

Have you ever gone to a rock concert where you idolized the band and at the end they do an encore and you still don’t want it to end and you scream for another encore? Then you go home and you’re still pumped over all the songs they sang and full of adrenaline. That’s this book in a nutshell. I love the author Lauri Robinson and this book ‘rocked’. I didn’t want it to end. Just when I thought it was over there was an epilogue and then a mini epilogue. I’m still walking around with a book glow.

Stolen Kiss with the Hollywood Starlet is book two in the Brides of the Roaring Twenties series. I did read book one and I feel book two could be read as a stand alone if needed. I actually loved book two more than book one. I’m definitely hoping there is a book three on the way. I want more in this time era. This series is the first time I’ve ever read any romance novel written in the roaring twenties and I love it. Talk about refreshing!

The hero, Walter and the heroine, Shirley left me feeling in love, full of hope and inspired to follow my dreams. I loved the interaction between the two. From the moment they met I was smitten with them as a couple. They were heartwarming, comical and sexy.

In fact, all the characters are relatable and easy to bond with. This is what makes the Brides of the Roaring Twenties series so wonderful. It gave me a sense of friendship with in the community. In a world with corruption there are still a few good people.

From beginning to end I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. This was an ooh la la book for me. That translates to I would read this book a second time. I definite recommendation. This is a tangent but I’ve never been to a book signing but if I ever did it would be to a Lauri Robinson book signing. This was my eight book by her and it might be my favorite one so far. It’s definitely going on my keepers shelf.

But instead she’s falling for Jack, bonded by the baby who needs them both…

A book written by Lauri Robinson is pretty much a guarantee for me that I am going to have an enjoyable read. I’m pleased to share that Baby on His Hollywood Doorstep wasn’t a disappointment. In fact, I’m excited that it is book one in the series Brides of the Roaring Twenties. I don’t know why I count but this happens to be my seventh Lauri Robinson book.

Baby on His Hollywood Doorstep was an excellent introduction to a new series. I considered the plot and setting to be rather unique and it therefore piqued my interest to want to read the next one.

Another reason I enjoyed this is because of the cast of characters. I developed a kinship with each one. Helen, the heroine, was born into a life that she had no choice in the matter. As life typically goes, there are often turns of events that we have no control over. We all have the choice to let it define us or not. Helen struggled with the cards life dealt her. It was heartwarming to read how she chose to rise above it. It happens, of course, with the help of others, mainly the hero, Jack, and as expected Jack had his life struggles too, but together they became a united force.

I truly loved this book and have no qualms recommending it. However, I have one bone to pick. Without giving any spoilers, I felt that there is a scene omitted. If so, it’s one I would have preferred to have been in on because Helen has a rather significant meeting/conversation with a significant person and I was not privy to it and I felt I should have been. I learned of it and heard what was said after the fact because she told Jack. Prior to this meeting there was a previous confrontation with this particular person where things were said that were pivotal to the plot. There was an agreement and, well … I can’t say anymore other than I would have liked to have heard her and this particular person have this second conversation. Perhaps it was done on purpose so that I would feel the same anger as Jack did when he learned what Helen had done behind his back. He forgave her faster than I did. Perhaps if I was in on the conversation then I would have been more forgiving. I kind of understand her reasoning but I didn’t like feeling left out. That’s the only major hiccup I experienced while reading this story.

I was entranced from beginning to end and was genuinely entertained. I’m thrilled that I already have the next book sitting next to me waiting to be read. I encourage others to join me in experiencing this new reading adventure, starting with Baby on His Hollywood Doorstep. The future for this series looks promising.

His disappearance changed her life forever.

Twenty-five years ago, Halle Lane’s best friend vanished from their Tennessee town. When a childhood photo brings Liam Hart to Winchester, Halle is certain the man is the same child who vanished. Now Liam seeks out Halle to help him investigate the circumstances of his mysterious past. Can Liam and Halle uncover the truth before a killer buries all traces of the boy Halle loved—and the man he may have become—forever?

I grabbed this book because I really love the author. I’ve read many books by her before and I was excited to give this one a try. The storyline was intriguing: a 25 year-old mystery of “the lost boy” from Winchester, TN.
Opposing to common belief, this pill doesn’t work, if there cialis tablets for sale is no arousal during intercourse . Make yourself a better person, it’s your call. viagra pfizer 100mg Blepharitis results in burning, itching and irritation of the our pharmacy order cheap viagra lids.
There is a previous mystery mentioned at the start of this book, so I’m guessing it’s part of a series (likely written by different authors, as Harlequin tends to do). That said, I never felt as if I was missing anything. Really, the two main characters, Halle and Liam, are who we have featured about 95% of the time, so it doesn’t have an ensemble feel to it. I certainly wasn’t lost at all and it doesn’t have a lead in to another mystery, so it’s solidly a standalone.

I like Halle a lot. She was besties with the boy who disappeared, and some of the story is told in brief flashbacks where you can tell how close they were, even as very young children. She never could completely move on with her life because of his disappearance. It affected things, including her failed marriage.

Liam took some time to grow on me. I understand his confusion and denial, but sometimes he came across as throwing a temper tantrum instead of handling things like an adult who’s also a very successful businessman. Some of the story was very obvious and he wouldn’t accept anything, even things that clearly were factual and true. I get that it meant his entire life was a lie, but he was occasionally cruel in his behavior, figuratively slapping Halle with his words.

I also didn’t feel chemistry between them as adults. The funny thing was, in the flashbacks they were so close and easy with each other…I could tell if they’d been allowed to grow up they would have always been close. It was during those scenes I could absolutely believe they’d fall in love and be together forever. But as adults, Liam spent so much time being angry around Halle, I struggled with their relationship, and the HEA ending didn’t feel believeable.

The mystery was decent, though, and although I figured out much of it, the actual complete truth was something I didn’t see. Wanting to see how it all played out kept me turning pages. And, like all of the author’s books, the writing was vivid and evocative, allowing images to play out in my mind as I read the words.

So, while this may not have been Ms. Webb’s strongest book (in my opinion), it’s certainly entertaining and I’m glad I read it. And, I’m definitely excited to try whatever she has coming out next.

This book is a winner, pure and simple. It warmed my heart, I laughed, sniffled and got mad at the bad guy and I experienced the warm and fuzzies at the end. It even had me wanting to bite my nails because of some of the suspense from the nasty villain. All Fired Up has it all and Ms. Foster has written a book for my keeper shelf. I still can’t believe I read this in one day.

The sultry, scrappy beginning quickly morphed into a jump-off point that started the ball rolling. Starting with Charlotte meeting Mitch, then his brothers showing up all at once, all of Mitch’s carefully made plans went up in smoke. Nothing in Mitch’s life would ever be the same again and after reading this novel, I’m so happy it’s not. Life is about to hand the hero everything he thought he wanted and more.

But first, he had to overcome so many obstacles; it was mind boggling because he was clueless about many facets of family life. His hard upbringing made sure he had no knowledge of what a loving family was really like. Everything that happens to the hero is a page turner. The best thing was Charlotte.

The heroine was perfect. I mean, Ms. Foster wrote Charlotte as the perfect counterpoint to Mitch. She’s not without her own issues but overall she was a delight. How she interacted with the hero made me feel good. There were so many times I wanted to hug her because she said or did something that had such a profound effect on Mitch, in a good way, that I couldn’t help but love her too. All Fired Up has its super sweet moments, but I guarantee no toothaches are in store for readers, just a great experience of two people falling in love.

I have to mention his brothers, his father, and his sort of step-mom, Ros. Then there are his brother’s wives. I missed reading the two books that gave both Brodie and Jack their HEA’s but I didn’t feel lost. This novel is definitely a standalone, but after meeting Ronnie I realized that I have to read them. Their backstories, hinted at in this book, are too intriguing to ignore. That’s one of the best things about Ms. Foster’s writing – her stories draw me in, her characters are usually so well rounded that I feel like I’d want to live in their communities and hang out. The love, support and family shenanigans give me a genuine sense of being included as I journey with the characters to their happy ever after.

There is so much more I could share with you, like just how effectively nasty the bad guys were written, how steamy yet loving Mitch and Charlotte’s relationship could be, the humor, the dogs….oh yes! The dogs! Talk about great secondary personalities enhancing a story. Brute broke my heart then made me cheer. Best puppy happy ever after.

This is an exceptional read and All Fired Up should not be missed. It’s easily become one of my favorite stories written by Ms. Foster. Consider me a very satisfied reader.

This was a relaxing read at the end of a hard day’s work. A sweet escape to a heartwarming romance, I found Frankie, the heroine, to be the glue that held the cast of characters together. She was the epitome of the girl next door that everyone loved. The town of Butterfly Harbor is a tight knit community with a variety of well-developed characters that are easily relatable. I felt like I was part of the community. I only wish it really did exist.

He was a successful tech giant but there was something missing in his life. It took a city wide blackout to shed some light on just what or who he needed to bring both a dose of reality and off the charts chemistry to his life.

Nadia’s life in Chicago consisted of supporting her brother, avoiding becoming her mother and being on call to her boss who had no problem with sending her on crazy errands afterhours. Her life would forever be changed by a chance encounter with a gorgeous man who wouldn’t remember her tomorrow. Funny thing about chance, it can go either way.

Blame it on the Billionaire is book 3 in the Blackout Billionaires series. Grayson and Nadia don’t run in the same circles and that fact is brought out several times in the book. The fact that Nadia isn’t like the women who are frequently thrust at Grayson, women who socially acceptable to his parents, is part of her appeal. Her self confidence and sassy kissable mouth are high on the list as well.

Nadia and Gray had instant chemistry but I thought it was interesting that he was so determined to try and not let it get beyond the physical. The physical was totally hot and it was fun to watch them fight to not let it get out of control. It got out of control several times, much to my pleasure and their chagrin.

Ms. Simone paints Nadia’s story, her background and reason for not trusting easy, in very clear and descriptive terms. I could picture the young girl that she was, proud and determined to fight for her brother and herself. She’s a character that was easy cheer for but I wasn’t sure how Gray could overcome her past to make her part of his future. An uphill battle for sure.

The story has a happy ending and wraps up the series nicely. I liked how Ms. Simone worked out the issues. It felt legit, not just thrown together. Readers who love the world of big money and hot men will love Nadia and Gray’s story.

Jenna Brown, the heroine, and Philippe D’Usay, the hero, were adorable. I’m not sure how realistic this romance was but hey, that is what fantasies are for. I loved every minute of wishing I was Jenna and in Philippe’s arms. Philippe was book boyfriend worthy.

When they are done well, I adore Cinderella themed stories. There’s something about a sweet person refusing to turn into a bitter, twisted person by life’s injustices, and a hero to swoop in to save the day by appreciating the person she really is. It’s even better when the hero isn’t two-dimensional, not prince-like at all. Giannis is far from a perfect hero which is why I felt he fit. Call him rich, powerful, assured … and broken.

The initial meeting between the two is magical, as it was meant to be. Then real life comes along and throws the hero a curveball. Tabitha is not who he thought and of course he’s furious. No alpha male takes being duped lying down. Even though lying down was sort of the catalyst for what happens in the story.

Tabitha was an interesting Cinderella-like heroine. She’s sweet and beaten down but unlike the fairy tale, she has the capacity to save herself. She just doesn’t know it. I have no idea what a ‘twonk’ is but I grinned when the heroine used the word. Actually, she let loose some really great lines of dialogue throughout the novel and I enjoyed that tremendously.

I also liked reading about the few times Giannis’s heart experienced a wrenching feeling because I knew what that meant. The romance had begun and Tabitha was getting under his thick hide. Corporate movers and shakers who think they have life figured out, and everything in life is going to be on their terms because they have money and power, well, let’s just say they don’t handle things well when they discover they’ve been lying to themselves. Giannis most definitely didn’t handle it well. Being able to see inside his head was interesting because he was so torn! He beat himself up for wanting Tabitha but for some reason he just couldn’t resist her. It was driving him nuts. I knew what was going on and I thought his fractious behavior highly entertaining. This was so much fun!

The plot really took off when Niki, Giannis’s sister, pops in. The love game was afoot and perceptions started to get blown to pieces. I really liked the hero’s sister. She was fun.

The passion between the two is off the charts and a reader is treated to detailed, spicy/hot shenanigans leaving no doubt they are highly compatible. Volatile, but compatible.

When I finally got to the good stuff, when Tabitha reveals who she really is, what she’s been through and how pragmatic and sweet she still was, Giannis’s reaction was all I could hope for in a hero. Okay, he did make a few stupid ‘man’ decisions but once again Niki took him to task as only a sister could. I really, really liked his sister.

There’s actually a lot more I can say about this story but I’ll end here by saying that I absolutely enjoyed reading The Greek’s Pregnant Cinderella. For fans of the fairy tale trope, this is excellent brain candy and I definitely recommend reading this one.
