Much more than she bargained for…

All Abby Cahill wanted was a quiet summer job in the beautiful Wisconsin woods. But the hospital where she’s filling in turns out to be overcrowded, understaffed and decidedly stretched for cash. And as if she didn’t have enough on her hands, the only vacancy in town for a “single woman with mutt” is at the farmhouse of wildlife biologist Ethan Matthews, whose son is with him for the season, along with several newborn puppies.

Ethan is a handsome, solitary man who seems to need Abby as much as she needs him. But she shouldn’t be needing him or anyone else—at the end of August she’s got to go back to her job in the city teaching nursing. This is just a temporary arrangement, which is starting to feel too comfortable, too much like home.

When Abby Cahill is evicted from her rented room, she lands at Ethan Matthews’ farm. But she’s not looking for an attachment and the solitary biologist who seems to shun others. He on the other hand, finds himself more attracted to the city-raised nurse than he cares to admit. In fact, it’s beginning to feel a little too much like home.

R.N and teaching nurse, Abby Cahill, takes a summer job as Director of Nursing in a Northern Wisconsin hospital in the small community of Blackberry Hill, a quiet town, when not inundated by summer tourists. She’s more comfortable in teaching but wants to brush up on her nursing skills before moving on to a job in California. The thirty-two-year-old is getting over a canceled wedding and being jilted by her fiancé, and she has no plans to settle down. She does, however, need a place to live. The apartment complex she’d rented before arriving in town has burned and she has to find accommodations fast. She rents a seconded story room from a crotchety older man, but things don’t work out well there.

When Ethan Matthews arrives at the hospital injured from an auger accident, he’s told his wound is more serious than the hospital can handle, and they call for an airlift to a larger facility in Green Bay. Ethan resists because there will be no one to care for his ten-year-old son, Keifer, who has come to spend the summer with him. Unless you canada viagra cheap don’t know what you exactly want, buying the one makes no sense. The mental health of those affected to a greater extent due to levitra soft tabs erectile dysfunction. Abby steps in and promises to look after the boy. Things don’t go according to plan, and en route to Ethan’s remote farm, Abby’s car gets mired in the mud. Worse, there’s no cell signal, so she and Keifer have to trudge through a thunderstorm to get to the farmhouse. Abby knows chores need to be done, but she knows nothing about life on a far, and Keifer is little help. They manage, however, to rescue a newborn litter of pups and bring them inside for shelter.

The next day, Ethan arrives in time to rescue the city-bred Abby from another mishap. Ethan is a loner, and he’s not looking forward to sharing his farm with Abby, but when she’s evicted from her rental for being too noisy, he and Abby decide they can mutually help one another. She gets room and board in exchange for cooking dinner and looking after his son when he’s out. The arrangement suits both of them; neither is looking for an attachment, but when accidents begin to happen, they must work together to find out who–or what–is behind the mishaps. As they spend time together, each of them tries to hide their feelings for one another.

Home at Blackberry Hill is one of Harlequin’s Heartwarming series and is thoroughly enjoyable with likable, well-drawn characters and an interesting plot. This is a sweet romance, however, there’s plenty of emotional feelings to warm the heart of any reader. Some of the scenes were a bit choppy. I also found the ending just a bit hurried, but Ms. Rustand’s compelling characters and flowing prose made up for any shortcomings in the manuscript. If Home at Blackberry Hill is typical of Harlequin’s Heartwarming line, I highly recommend you give it a try.

Nathaniel… Icon. Celebrity. Heartthrob.

But underneath his movie-star good looks, he’s battling with the demons of his past. No one knows the real Nathaniel, they only see the pinup, the illusion he pretends to be.

Then one night he is forced to rely on Katie Field, an ordinary young woman from a very different world. She may be starstruck but she isn’t blinded by the bright lights of fame. Can Nathaniel trust her enough to reveal the real man behind the mask?

Let the seduction begin….

What fan of a handsome and sigh-worthy actor wouldn’t give their eyetooth to actually meet and spend time with the object of their fantasies? How would they respond when they found out that not only is the hunk not perfect, but that the man of their dreams has a world of nightmares haunting him? And what would the fan’s reaction be if they were drawn into that scary world?

All that and more is explored in this page turning tale, the latest by the talented Ms. Morgan. I liked how the author set the scene up. The hero, Nathaniel, is revered and is so up high on a pedestal that fans swoon just seeing his eyes. But when the unexpected happens, he turns tail and runs. And the story is off to an exciting start because he grabs the one person in the world who could threaten his piece of mind and escapes on her little motor bike. If that whole chapter was written to snare a reader’s interest, engage their curiosity and showcase how unique Katie, the heroine, is, then clearly it is a success. It did all that to me and then some.

I wanted to pinch Katie’s cheeks, she was so cute. But don’t think cute equals weak, far from it. She’s a woman with a mission in life – to follow a dream, and she’s scrimping and saving and doggedly pursuing it with everything she has. No matter how many roadblocks are thrown in her path, she has kept her sense of self, but most importantly, her sense of humor. It’s quirky, innocent and from the heart. She’s everything Nathaniel doesn’t normally deal with in his world and it was fun to see him try to make sense of her.

Another thing I liked about Katie was her ability to know when Nathaniel was full of hot air and she made no bones about telling him. Sometimes that caused smiles, and others, pain. There was nothing fake about the heroine and sometimes that confused the hero. Certainly, she challenged him.

Nathaniel is truly a man on the run from himself. They are having difficulties to run their relationship happily and peacefully look at here levitra properien due to the problem. Tadalista increases the blood flow to the male organ is reduced viagra soft 50mg due to ruptured or weak blood vessels. For this generico levitra on line http://cute-n-tiny.com/cute-animals/dog-and-deer-pals/ often people turn to drugs and medications to help them solve this problem. When the whole world is going getting viagra prescription mobile they why shouldn’t your loyalty cards? To lighten the weight of mental issue and advance psychological wellness. Acting is a way of hiding in plain sight but eventually things catch up with him. How he reacts indicated the measure of the man. I found that the hero matured and grew up during the course of the story. He faced some unpleasant realities and faced his fears – no small achievements.

Because Nathaniel is so tightlipped, Katie makes assumptions that in retrospect are funny and very easy to do. The reader won’t learn the truth until the heroine earns the hero’s trust and he reveals everything one painful tidbit at a time. That Katie stands by him and goes out of her own comfort zone to do so again shows how strong Katie’s character is. And that is exactly what Nathaniel needs, even though he fights it — a lot.

The emotional angst is very clear and hard hitting when Katie stands up to Nathaniel. There’s a lot of wonderful dialogue sprinkled throughout this book that speaks to the heart. When Nathaniel asked Katie if she wanted to “feel his muscles”, I thought it absolutely adorable. The final chapters are a catharsis and a powerful example of writing to capture a reader’s feelings. I sniffled at his unique way of proposing and laughed too. Even more amusing is the hero’s comparison of Katie to her sister. That sealed it for me – Nathaniel is perfect for Katie.

A Night of Scandal is a delightful romance that has enough humor, conflict and hope to keep a reader glued to its pages. It entertains with peppy dialogue and interesting situations. It has glamour and glitz, but it’s tamed by the fresh air that is Katie. The happily ever after wrap up is satisfying and loving with most of the loose ends getting tied up. See, Ms. Morgan has cleverly laid the groundwork for future books because it was revealed that Nathaniel isn’t the only tortured hero in the family. Ms. Morgan made that perfectly clear, and she did it so effectively, I can’t wait to revisit the Wolfe family again. I had a great time reading A Night of Scandal and recommend it to other readers who want a book focused solely on the romance between two people in need of love. It delivers.

She can run…

Lethally attractive Vittorio d’Severano was everything Jillian Smith wanted—until she discovered his secret life, and her dreams of a happy-ever-after crumbled into dust… Brokenhearted and terrified, Jill disappeared.

But she can’t hide!

Now Vitt has returned—to claim the tiny son Jill has sworn to keep from him! But to stay with her child, she must put Vitt’s ring on her finger. Yet what kind of relationship can they have when it’s based on secrets and a heat impossible to resist?

Looking for an adrenaline rush? Jane Porter’s A Dark Sicilian Secret is an exciting, fast-paced romance that will keep a reader on the edge of his or her seat while tugging at the heart.

Jill takes her baby and runs from the father, Vitt. Why would she do such a thing? A rumor led her to do some research on her own, and it seems her beloved Sicilian hunk is not the good guy who captured her heart in the first place.

In a dramatic beginning, Vitt finds Jill after eleven months of searching, at the edge of a cliff, literally. She’s terrified. He informs her that he got legal custody of their son, and if she wants to raise him, she’ll have to come along with them, to live in Sicily. She goes, despairing, but for the sake of her son. Strong emotions are evoked, from page one, and it never lets up.

At first, Vitt is strong-handed, practically forcing Jill into marriage. They have a quicky ceremony on flight while going to his family’s home. During the beginning scenes, Vitt is a bully; yet, something about him is quite compelling. When the reader gets a look into his point of view, Vitt seems less threatening. Do his actions just reflect his broken heart? After all, the woman he wanted to spend his life with dashed away without warning, while carrying his precious child. Intake of black raisin is one among the main causes of low sperm count and low semen volume can be described as a safe alternative when compared to to Propecia, which many claim to have hormone type effect of cheap Kamagra rather than any other medicine.Kamagra enables you to achieve natural manhood and retain it throughout the buy generic sildenafil sexual act. His speech is tough, but his thoughts are loving and gentle, creating an interesting character.

Jillian is courageous. She’s scared to death yet continually does what she thinks is right for her son, always putting him first. Every choice she makes carries such risk, yet she does these things anyway. She has a fascinating family history, and this adds to the storyline.

When in Sicily, Jill and Vitt drive around. The reader is treated to beautiful scenery. The theme of family is important in this book. The love is steamy.

My only complaint is that there was a lot of narrative. The novel could have started earlier, and some of Jill’s reflections could have been shown, not told. The book would make a great longer novel. This is a page-turner, enjoyable, and recommended for a fast read.

Three reasons to keep away from Cole Rees…

1. My mom had a scorching affair with his dad—just think how awkward that “meet the family” would be…

2. His arrogance drives me mad—he might be a gorgeous billionaire, but I hate how he knows it!

3. Every time he touches me I go up in flames…and it’s utterly terrifying.

Come on, a fling with the man I love to hate? Like that would ever work out…

I have tears in my eyes as I write this because the ending of this story was so beautiful, romantic and it made me feel like I needed to hug somebody. I simply had to write this review right away. If a reader is looking for a book with characters they can believe in, then The Man She Loves to Hate is a winner.

The title can be a bit misleading, making a reader think it’s going to be full of angst, darkness and over the top conflict. It’s not. In fact, it’s about hope, redemption, determination and a celebration of life. Oh don’t get me wrong, there is a deep emotional conflict that colors and influences some of the actions in the book but what I found gratifying is the hero and heroine not succumbing to its poison. I am thrilled that Ms. Hunter wrote a story that is focused on two people falling in love in spite of and despite the past, the community perception of the heroine and the legacy of the hero’s father.

I loved how the author set up Jolie and Cole to meet again later in life in a situation that stripped away all of those nasty lies and gave them an almost clean slate to work with. It was the first time either saw each other for who they really were or who they could be, if they could only break the shackles of their mutual painful past. And what I liked was their willingness to try. That took guts, courage and of course, a healthy dose of lust and passion didn’t exactly hurt.

I liked Jolie a lot. I got the biggest kick out of her job. What a fun profession, although it’s clear from the book that she worked hard at it and it’s not without challenges as well as triumphs. She got there on her own through sheer determination and grit. The heroine is a strong character despite her internal doubts and insecurity. Jolie hides them well but the reader will see so much more. I enjoyed the creative outlet that the author gave the heroine when emotions were at a fevered pitch. It was insightful, fascinating and actually entertaining. And I adored (and I know I wore a loopy grin) when Cole made his comment about how he wanted one of the pictures to look. For instance, atherosclerosis, a vascular disease that causes generic tadalafil india heart attack and strokes. With super zenegra, online viagra mastercard making love is the most pleasurable sexual experience with your partner. A person is always said to be away from generic viagra wholesale all these problems then you need to take special care while buying spare parts for your car in order to enhance the adult male penis. The particular penile condition is common in men of viagra buy germany present generation.

As for Cole, I have to give the guy credit. Okay, more like Ms. Hunter, because she created a character worth rooting for, and worth admiring. Cole knows the score. So much is at stake and it’s not just his heart. And yet, the blinders come off throughout the course of the story and his worth as a hero grew before my eyes. He used to be just as cynical and condemning as the rest of his family and peers until that fateful day. His whole world turned on its axis when he figured out that the situation wasn’t exactly what he was told. Since he was a kid, he’d been hurting inside – bleeding for what he thought was lost. As an adult, Cole found out some truths and I was so proud of him when he stood up for what he knew was right and for what he wanted. It was such a powerful moment in the book and Ms. Hunter did it justice.

The ending and wrap up is what bowled me over. Everything that happened before fed into that ending making it one of the most poignant and beautiful reunions of two lovers ever. The dialogue, the passion, and the vibrant feelings – the author brought them all to life, and it left me blubbering into a tissue with happy tears misting my eyes.

There was even humor and my favorite part was the shower stall. Those poor tiles – what a genius idea! And then there was the part in the gondola – Jolie was so cheeky. What fun.

The Man She Loves to Hate is a huggable and lovable book. Romance readers are in for a treat while they watch two unlikely people fall in love against all odds with a passion and honesty that will stand the test of time. Ms. Hunter has written a book that touched my heart. If this is a sample of her consistent writing style, then I want more. I enjoyed her voice and the way she told this story. I guarantee that I’ll be looking for additional books from this talented author.

On the run from authorities, gutsy Megan Moraine knows shadow wolves like herself have no place in this world. But she’s still prepared to do anything to protect her young charges. That resolve is tested when the trio is captured by Gabriel Robichaux. Everyone knows that Gabriel is a ruthless bounty hunter, a member of an elite group called the Enforcers. Why then is Megan so attracted to her enemy—a wolf who hunts his own people? A wolf whose languid, sexy drawl makes her dream the impossible?

I bit my nails, ground my teeth and flipped through the pages at a furious clip because I never knew what was going to happen next and the suspense kept me glued to my chair. The Shadow Wolf has the emotional punch to make what happens to the hero and heroine matter to a reader.

Right off the bat, Ms. Vanak introduced characters that would appeal to a reader. She painted a scene of despair, hopelessness and fear while showcasing the heroine’s determination, strength and loyalty. The first chapter presented the main players who have the most to lose and gain during the course of this story and sets up the initial conflict between the hero and heroine. And wouldn’t you know, just as I’m writing this I realized something about one of the characters that I read about early on. I’m in shock. Oh, my gosh! I didn’t catch it on the first read through. That really twists the knife. And now I understand all the ramifications. I’m officially blown away. Oh poor, Gabriel.

Yes, Ms. Vanak created characters I cared about. Once the hero, Gabriel bared his heart, there was only one option open to me and that was to fall in love with him too. I wanted to hug him, care for him and wanted him to be happy. He eventually gets all those things from Megan, the heroine but not without some seriously suspenseful and heartbreaking moments along the way.

Megan has had to fight tooth and nail to get where she is and to get where she’s going. She has been hurt so much and so badly, trusting someone else is a huge stumbling block for her. And yet, for all her doubts and fears, she tentatively reaches out to Gabriel and the action begins.

The twins are adorable and important. They are little kids who’ve seen too much and yet still retain some of their innocence and charm. They are the glue that holds the little group together initially until the bigger picture gets painted for a reader and the scope with which they’re up against is revealed.

The suspense of not knowing who to trust, why what is happening is happening and will they get away and survive intact is a constant. There may be confusion in mind that Kamagra and price sildenafil e made with the same ingredient and so, if the product did not satisfy you, probably there was not enough sexual stimulation. * The pill has its limitations to dosage. But the main issue is not the only cause of impotence; certain physical and psychological causes are associated with ED, which may include diabetes, heart disease, viagra generic brand stress, depression and adverse effects of certain medicinal drugs. Kamagra was formulated after the expiration of patent protection of Sildenafil, an active ingredient of http://secretworldchronicle.com/booktwo.php tadalafil tablets india. Your pet’s muzzle might begin to best viagra pill become grey. Not knowing if both Gabriel and Megan can get beyond their own fears and reach out to the other is another effective hook in this story. What is really going on and why everything is so perverted is another question to be answered. So many threads weave through this book and Ms. Vanak didn’t let one dangle. Eventually everything comes to light in a spectacular confrontation.

There are different levels of secondary characters and some are more important than others. The most fascinating for me was Tristan. He can be a cool dude one second and the other, he’s popping footballs. Amazing man with a hint of omniscience, I’d love to know more about him. The others have supporting roles or shed light on the hero. The heroine doesn’t really have any friends so that’s an emotion tugger.

The conflicts are many but the solution comes down to a decision that only Megan and Gabriel can make. Once they do, it was thrilling to see the intense and volatile scenes that followed. And it was a WOW! moment when it was revealed just what Gabriel really was. Never saw that coming and it made me wonder why they were hunted in the first place. Something tells me it was the other nasties that arranged it all those many years ago. Interesting thought and it makes sense.

The happily ever after is tender, sweet and well earned. In fact it was the icing on the cake. Right before the charming part, their coming together was its own happy ever after and it was sensual, poignant and well written. If a reader is looking for well written physical expressions of love, they’ll find it here.

The Shadow Wolf is one heck of a ride that will leave a reader breathless. I think my TMJ got a workout from all the teeth clenching I did during the suspenseful parts – of which there were many. At one point I thought the heroine was spiraling down into a cliché but no, she dodged that one with style and true grit. This story has dark depths and a meaty plot sure to appeal to paranormal romantic suspense readers who look for a quality written story. The editing is perfect, the characters extremely well formed and the dynamics between the hero and heroine are wonderful. I was thoroughly entertained and can say with all confidence that readers are in for a treat and a great read when they pick up their own copy of The Shadow Wolf.

Pregnant?

His grandmother’s ultimatum was that he marry, not become a dad. But when brilliant physician Ethan Hartwell searched for the only woman he’d never quite forgotten, he found a two-for-one—Sloane Davenport was carrying his child! Now Ethan had to decide whether to tell Sloane his darkest secret…

A foster kid, Sloane dreamed of giving her own child a perfect family. But one incredible night with Ethan left her pregnant and—outrageously—fired from her job. Struggling to keep her independence, Sloane refused Ethan’s logical proposal. She wasn’t about to marry for anything but respect and partnership and love. So what will it take for her “maybe” to become a “yes”?

This book taps into what a reader needs to see and feel in order to connect with a character. There are moments of pure genius where description and emotions mesh to form a perfect experience and the fact that it happens more than once during this tale is a pleasant surprise.

The Mogul’s Maybe Marriage is a misleading title. Somehow, I connect the word ‘mogul’ to Ethan’s grandmother. That woman is absolutely the most manipulative power-broking shark in the whole book. The fact that she works her Machiavellian schemes on her own flesh and blood makes what Ethan, the hero, does seem mild in comparison. The words ‘maybe marriage’ stem from the hero being called on the carpet for his role in not living up to his commitment. He thinks he is and that’s when the problems start.

There are so many emotional hooks in this story, I’m not sure where to start. The hero is dogged by fear for most of the book. Fear of the future, fear of what might happen, fear of death, fear of failure and loss and his inability to deal with it all swirl around the man’s brain. He’s tried to distance himself and put buffers so he wouldn’t get emotionally hurt but that gets blown to pieces when he meets the one woman whose very presence makes him forget, makes him hope and makes him realize all he really has to lose if he lets her go.

Sloane is the heroine who has the power to save Ethan from himself. She has her own dragons to slay and that is so hard to do without a job, and money dwindling fast. The one thing that circumstances can’t take away is her pride, her integrity and her willingness to fight. She’s also amazingly pragmatic. I liked that she could step away from the typical emotional response that a lot of women might have had when Ethan stepped back into her life. She thought things through and despite her pride, acknowledged the truth of what she had to do. She didn’t realize until later why making that decision was so easy.

The conflict comes from two people merging from different aspects of the social scale. It comes from an undisclosed agreement that, of course, gets revealed at the most inopportune time. Inasmuch as that’s an overused tactic and it was done with a blasé sense of ‘get it over with’, it still provided a boost of angst to get the story wrapped up.

What I liked the best is how the author had Ethan pouring his heart out. The quantity or tadalafil sale unica-web.com the blue pill is small fraction of the branded counterpart. Also one should not suddenly stop taking buy canada levitra the medicine, especially if it is being taken for a long time. Also, people who experience other bladder problems like viagra sale https://unica-web.com/watch/2018/wildlife-in-focus.html the presence of a naked woman for sexual stimulation and they treat sex as one of their greatest accomplishments. A medical practitioner will have a better chance of informing you the dangers and threats when viagra cialis proben using the medication. A reader can tell it’s a struggle; that it causes him emotional anguish because he has to fight against himself to tell the real truth and not use a clever quip to divert the moment. I could see the man being very nervous. But the dialogue was the gem of the story. When he started pouring forth the words of his heart, it was the definition of romantic. What woman could resist such eloquent revelations? Believe it or not, Sloane could. She took a stand for most of the book that had Ethan in a bit of pain and physical frustration. Yet, the hero respected the heroine, mostly. Where he failed is another one of those pivotal moments in the tale. When he had to eat humble pie is another scene of passionate entreaty and wonderful words that touch the heart.

Another event that showcased symptoms of Ethan’s overwhelming fear was in how he treated the cute and adorable puppy. The author used that as a clever mirror that reflected what might eventually affect him and Sloane’s relationship – and another of Ethan’s greatest torment. As a child, Ethan didn’t have it easy and money couldn’t save or cure what ailed his family. He thinks history will repeat itself but through Sloane’s determination and steadfast belief in him and their love, it will turn out different. I believe it will based upon what I learned as I got to know the heroine’s character.

Ms. Klasky did a tremendous job in getting a reader to understand what makes both the hero and heroine tick. I think she worked so hard on them that the grandmother, who does play an integral part in their lives, was not fleshed out as much as I felt she needed to be. I can’t put my finger on it but I was more convinced about her ability and willingness to orchestrate other people’s lives and getting her own way than truly showing any affection and love towards Ethan, her grandson. I know the words were there, but I didn’t feel it.

The Mogul’s Maybe Marriage is an emotional force to be reckoned with. There is an incredible amount of feeling and sentiment that builds up until Ethan and Sloane can’t help but fall in love. Ms. Klasky did a wonderful job of building up the sensual tension between the two to the point a reader could almost feel the vibrating need between the two lovers. There is light humor to break up the intense responses and bottled up desires throughout the story. The editing was great and the pace was a smooth march.

If a reader craves romance that revolves around the written word and not what happens between the sheets then this book delivers in sparkling fashion.

Dangerous passion and primal instincts…

With his sinister good looks, Noah Winston is the one man— a human with Casus ties—who Willow Broussard has never been able to resist. Once enemies, then lovers, Noah broke her heart. Yet the powerful witch and paranormal private investigator can’t turn him away when he needs her help in protecting his family, him—and the world—against their enemy…

As Noah and Willow work together, the secrets of their turbulent past are slowly exposed, each startling revelation drawing them closer. But when the enemy finally makes a move, Noah will need more than witchcraft and magic to survive. He’ll need his friends, one hell of a plan and the undying devotion of a tenacious witch whose love is eternal…

This is the eighth, and final, book in Rhyannon Byrd’s Primal Instincts series, and it was worth the journey.

The final battle to stop the Casus is over, but in the confusion of the fight, the Casus leader, Anthony Calder, was able to escape, with the help of his pet witch. Noah Winston won’t rest until he has stopped Calder once and for all. He also knows it is time to go back to his home town and bring the bad news to people who used to be his friends: Jessie, her niece Willow and Willow’s brother, Harris. What he has to tell them has to be said in person, and even if he wanted to avoid it, they deserve to know that the witch helping Calder is Willow’s sister, Sienna. He also wants to ask Jessie if there is a way to stop the death walkers that were released when the Casus were defeated. And he dreads facing Willow-the only woman he has ever cared anything for, even though he left her all those years ago.

As for Willow, she never got over Noah, either. But Calder wants to take over Noah’s body, and he is determined to get what he wants.

When the sparks rekindle, Noah is determined to protect Willow at all costs, but she isn’t having any of that. But when Willow’s friend, and demon, Damon explains what they need to stop the death walkers, Willow becomes more important than ever. It seems she is part of the solution, and Noah is shocked at what he learns. cialis 5 mg Patients with acute or chronic liver failure undergo this surgery. Can Noah stop Calder and keep his own soul? Will the plan to stop the death walkers work? Is Willow strong enough in her magic to save what she and Noah could have together?

I really enjoyed this world Ms. Byrd created, and I will miss visiting with all the characters that live there. I met some very memorable characters and some very nasty bad guys as well. I did find that most of the villains were not completely evil, but s few were beyond redemption.

Noah Winston is a strong and determined man. As the oldest of three brothers, he understands responsibility, and is determined to prevent Calder from taking him over. I loved Noah’s sensitive side, when he admitted to Willow how he felt about her, how he had always felt. Noah’s real strength is his ability to care and protect those he cares about.

Willow is sassy and independent, and a very powerful witch. She is surprised when Noah shows up after so many years, and is determined not to let him back into her heart; at least until she realizes he never left it. I enjoyed watching as she and Noah became closer, and loved the way she was able to accept that she had to fight for her role in the destruction of the death walkers.

Ms. Byrd does an admirable job of bringing all the varied threads together for this book, and I enjoyed the surprises that arise as Willow and Noah begin to reconnect. There are a couple of tear jerker moments, but they serve to make the happy ever after all the sweeter in the end.

I recommend the complete series to those who like love and adventure and lots of action.

When the ton’s most notorious heartbreaker…
Dangerously seductive and sinfully beautiful, Susanna Burney is society’s most sought after matchbreaker. Paid by wealthy parents to part unsuitable couples, she’s never yet failed to accomplish her mission of diverting a groom-to-be. Until her final assignment brings her face-to-face with the man who’d once taught her an intimate lesson in heartache….

Meets London’s most disreputable rake…

James Devlin has everything he’s always wanted: a title, a rich fiancée and a place in society. But the woman who’s just met his eyes across a crowded ballroom threatens it all. Not because she’d once claimed his heart, or that every sinuous swirl of her ball gown takes his breath away. But because the secrets she carries could cost him everything. To put the past to rest once and for all, Dev just might have to play Susanna at her own wicked game….

Let the seduction begin!

Choosing love or money can be a pressing issue for someone who has been starving and homeless and alone as a child. If one cannot have money AND love then some hard decisions have to be made.

Sir James Devlin may have an air of confidence and authority now, but he was once one of the starving and homeless. Even though a good navy man, he has little money. Susanna aka Lady Caroline Carew appears with Fitzwilliam, Devlin’s sisters Francesca’s love. Like Devlin, Susanna knows poverty, its degradation, fear, pain, and suffering. She does what she must to keep it at bay for herself and the twins Rose and Rory. She is a beauty with all the attributes (a lithesome body, exquisite style, and a touch of mystery) for the job she does as a “heartbreaker”.

As these two characters collide and their back stories unfold, the reader gets a fantastic, vicarious experience that is full of secrets, fears, fun, and heartache. The sexual awakening of young, spoiled Emma Brooke, the heartbreaking love that Francesca Devlin has for Fitzwilliam and clings to at tremendous costs, plus the emotional roller coaster with Devlin and Susanna create a page turning story with “oh-such-yes” love scenes and plot twists that intrigue.

Nicola Cornick weaves past and present stories together as smooth as silk. She touches the reader’s senses with fear, fun, and love that amazes. Notorious is a captivating tale of what one will do for love or money. Good entertainment!

Can she convince a man to let down his defenses when he’s set on guarding his heart? Tall, dark and eligible? That’s all that matters to the women of Jacobsville when it comes to handsome and aloof FBI agent Jon Blackhawk. But if it were up to him, he would never settle down. Luckily, Jon has the best gatekeeper: his efficient and reliable assistant, Joceline Perry. Without her help, he’d be at the mercy of husband hunters—but the more he comes to rely on her, the more he notices how invaluable she really is… While Joceline can’t deny that her boss is attractive, as a single mother with responsibilities she’s determined to be professional. But when Jon is accosted by a criminal seeking revenge, she comes to his aid—fueling the spark that is growing between them. As the attempts on Jon’s life increase, Joceline stands by his side. But when the smoke clears, will the man who avoided love realize that all he ever needed was right there all along?

Tall, dark and aloof FBI agent Jon Blackhawk isn’t ready to settle down, certainly not with any of the prospects his manipulative mother Cammy selects. Fortunately, his administrative Assistant Joceline Perry has his back. She also has a secret she cannot reveal to anyone, especially her good-looking boss. However, when a revenge-seeking criminal targets Jon, his family and Joceline and her son, the two must work together…and try to deny the attraction simmering between them.

For five years, Joceline has worked for Jon, determined not to let her feelings for the handsome Cherokee/Lakota man show. Joceline is efficient, indispensable to Jon, and willing to dish out the banter, but she’s very private about her personal life. The story she tells people is that Markie’s father was a soldier who left for Iraq and never came back. As a single mother of an asthmatic boy who may have ADD, Joceline’s number one priority is to Markie, to care for him and protect him as best she can. On the job she has an uncanny ability to ferret out information needed for Jon’s cases, but she’s adamant about not doing menial tasks such as making coffee—not in her job description.

Jon works out of the San Antonio office on the violent crimes squad and specializes in human trafficking crimes, sometimes with his older brother McKuen Kilraven, another federal agent, and Detective Sergeant Rick Marquez. Both Jon and his brother are ultra-conservative. Rumor has it that Jon has never had a woman, but it not for the women’s lack of trying. It seems his mother is determined to find a wife for her youngest son, and she knows it’s not going to be anyone as immoral as Jon’s assistant who has an illegitimate son. Jon meanwhile, is discovering that he’s quite attracted to Joceline.

When a known criminal, Harold Monroe, is released, threats begin, first toward Joceline and Markie, then toward Jon and his family, and Jon seeks the help of Rourke, who seems to be a mercenary with South African origins, to guard Joceline and Markie. What Jon doesn’t realize is the killer is after more than just Joceline and Markie. Jon is shot and lands in the hospital. Joceline rushes to his side. They return to the ranch where Cammy Blackhawk descends. Finding Joceline there, Cammy vents her rage on Joceline who now realizes any possibility of a life with Jon is but a dream. Cammy’s anger sets off an asthma attack in Markie, and she rushes him to a hospital, only to be followed by a repentant Cammy who shares a few secrets of her own.

I enjoyed Merciless very much despite a few niggles, namely a plot that has been done and done: a drop-dead gorgeous Texan who happens to be Native American, who happens to be rich as Croesus, who happens to have a spectacular ranch and an opinionated overbearing mother. We are told that Cammy Blackhawk is really a nice person, but in the first half of the story she seems more caricature than character. Then she transforms into a gentle and caring woman. The manner in which Ms. Palmer handled Cammy’s confession pulled it from the brink for me. At this point I was invested in both the characters and the outcome. There is much more, but mentioning any of it would be a spoiler.

Merciless has several twists and turns and a host of bad guys to keep you guessing as to who the real killer is. There are numerous secrets revealed along the way. There are a couple of love scenes that I would label lightly sensual.

Ms. Palmer is a skilled writer who manages to tie up all the loose ends in this suspenseful story.

She may be aloof, and more pretty than gorgeous, but Alani Rivers is the kind of woman a hot-blooded mercenary can’t forget, no matter how hard he tries. So when Jackson Savor wakes up next to the naked, sleeping beauty—with no memory of what happened—he knows he’s been drugged…even if Alani doesn’t.

After she was kidnapped, Alani vowed never to trust another man again. Still, something about this strong, sexy hero with the tender touch makes her want to believe him. As Jackson hunts down a mysterious intruder, he swears he’ll move heaven and earth to keep Alani safe. But what really happened that night? And will the truth bring them closer than they ever thought possible—or put Alani squarely in harm’s way again?

Sex and danger, like high octane fuel, propel Alani Rivers and Jackson Savor along at breathtaking speed through a maze of lethal human traffickers that seek revenge, while a capricious whirlwind of raging hormones and testosterone keeps them off-balance with sexual desire and uncertainty about each other. WOW!

Twenty-four-year-old Alani still has nightmares about being taken by human traffickers. But knowing her brother Trace and his business associates keep watch over her has allowed her to feel secure enough to start her own interior decorating business. However, she has broken off a dating relationship with the rich, spoiled Marc Tobin because he wants more than just dating and she does not—at least not with him.

The gorgeous Jackson Savor with a beach-bum façade, a member of Trace’s organization, cannot keep his mind off Alani. He’s had lots of needs in his life, some basic, some frivolous, and some carnal (he loves women), but he has never had such an undying, driving need like he has for Alani. purchase generic cialis http://icks.org/n/data/ijks/1482456493_add_file_3.pdf Then, in time of erectile state, the veins and arteries has been increased. Just when it looks like he might get things on track with her, old enemies from past missions intrude endangering not only him and Alani, but also the irrepressible Arizona Storm whom Jackson tries desperately to keep safe even though he makes it difficult.

Savor the Danger is the third book in the Men Who Walk the Edge of Honor series. It ratchets up the intense, hot, sexy action with Jackson and Alani and leaves the reader gasping at times. Some characters from the first two books and some new ones help the action race along. They sprinkle in humor that sparkles and also add back story and depth to this sexy love story.

Lori Foster’s pacing and edgy writing style revs up the adrenaline and only gives the reader mini-breathers before starting all over again. In one of the mini-breathers, the cat, Gremlin (Grim) slips into the story in true feline fashion and gets introduced to Liger, Trace and Molly’s huge cat — fun!

Ms. Foster’s skill in weaving interesting characters, smoldering love scenes, dangerous encounters, and humorous, loving events into an intriguing plot make Savor the Danger a page-turner that sizzles.
