I am very thankful that I got to review this book. Let’s just say, “Wow!” If you at all like the T.V. show, Criminal Minds, then this book is for you.  Hopefully the very first page will grip you like it did me and keep you on the edge of your seat as it did me until I finished the book. The plot keeps twisting with unexpected surprises.

The main characters, Eden and Cole, are meant for each other. I personally was a bit annoyed for Cole regarding Eden’s lack of listening skills but obviously he loved her unconditionally. By the end of the book I couldn’t help but love not only the hero and heroine but all the other well established characters as well.

I most definitely recommend this book but I must warn you that it ends with a hook. While one case is solved there is another that is left unresolved. For that reason I’m left feeling frustrated because I want to read the next book right now. I can’t wait to read the next book and meet my new favorite characters again and solve the remaining case.

I started this book with the expectation of a nice romance story to escape the stress of the day and Triple the Fun delivered as hoped. It’s typical Harlequin and that made me happy because the romance and the hero and heroine are solid, entertaining and fun to read about.

Connor goes from busy exec, wheeling and dealing, to busy chasing toddlers who hate baths, eat sand and cuddle into his neck when they get a boo-boo. It was delightful watching this man who commands millions of dollars turn into a bemused but determined daddy. I also liked seeing him struggle to resist the feelings the heroine, Dina, inspired in him. Of course he can handle the lust aspect; viral men have that ability in spades. It’s that other niggling feeling that he tries to discount every which way he can. It was sigh-worthy when he finally faced the truth.

Dina is determined to keep her charges; she’s their guardian after all. But she truly loves them and will do anything to see to their care, safety, and insure their feelings of security and of being loved. She’s strong-willed, earnest, hardworking and a nice person. I like how she stands up to Connor even when he represents ‘easy street’. And, like all fun romance stories, of course the hero finds a way to make Dina’s difficult situation work for him and it backfires. Or does it?

My favorite secondary character is Dina’s grandmother. Her gentle wisdom, kindness and love radiate off of the pages like a warm hug. Her contributions to the story are critical and wonderful.

Of course, a spicy romance couldn’t have the heat without effective physical passion between Connor and Dina and Ms. Child delivers well-written scenes for readers to enjoy.

Triple the Fun delivers an entertaining escapist story filled with romance, humor and three adorable babies whose antics inspire many smiles through the book. Dina and Connor are great together and their ardor is palpable. Sure, Connor bungles in a big way; the conflict comes from the blending of two unlikely personalities into a family so when they can no longer resist, the happy ever after is worth every smooshed banana and sloppy kiss. Triple the Fun is an easy recommend.

Ranch owner Cane Kirk lost more than his arm in the war. He lost his way, battling his inner demons by challenging any cowboy unfortunate enough to get in his way. No one seems to be able to cool him down, except beautiful Bodie Mays. Bodie doesn’t mind saving Cane from himself, even if he is a little too tempting for her own peace of mind.

When her silence only ends up getting her into even deeper hot water, it’s up to Cane to save the day. And if he does it right, he won’t be riding off into the sunset alone.

Wyoming Fierce is a character driven romance that delves into the emotional morass that comes from a man losing his arm, even heroically, and the downward spiral from his belief he’s now ‘less than a man’. The hero, Cane Kirk, is so stuck in a rut, a destructive one at that, he can’t see a way out. Enter Bodie, a woman who secretly loves him and who will put up with a lot just to be there when he needs her, until Cane commits one final act that drives her away.

The turmoil is believable, the sensual tension between Bodie and Cane is palpable, and the heartfelt self-reflection that comes about from tragedy grabs a reader’s heartstrings and won’t let go. Ms. Palmer created two characters that bear the weight of so many troubles that it’s a testament to their fortitude, faith and familial love that they not only survive but come out stronger in the end.

There are two plot conflicts; Cane’s is mostly internal, and Bodie’s is both external and internal. The heroine’s predicament is compounded by her stepfather from hell. The good thing about effective and well written villains in romance books is that they eventually get their comeuppance. That sad part is that there are creeps like that in real life. I wish they all got what they deserved as effectively as Bodie’s stepfather did. Unfortunately, most women don’t have allies with mad computer skills at their disposal that can do amazing feats on the internet like a cyber-Samurai. It was a nice touch for the book, but alas, not an option for most of the real world.

I enjoyed the sensual teasing and verbal seduction that occurred whenever Cane and Bodie were alone. It built and built until a reader is absolutely certain that it’s going to explode, any chapter now. Except, Ms. Palmer taunted Cane and readers with a “carrot stick” approach, framing it with a moment in time that made sense to the hero and heroine. The choice of placement and timing made it a very satisfying read. The bedroom door was open, but the descriptions were gentle and poignant but no less hot for their restraint.

I really enjoyed Wyoming Fierce because I liked Cane and Bodie, I appreciated all the secondary characters that joined them on their journey to their happy ever after, and I valued Bodie’s sense of modesty even though she burned for Cane just as much as he burned for her. This is a well written and engaging story and it was easy to read. Even though Wyoming Fierce is part of a series, it’s a solid standalone read and I encourage readers to discover the Kirk brothers in any order they wish. They are all great reads and this novel is consistent of the written talent that is Ms. Palmer. It’s romance.

But as he spends time with Lavonda in this rugged landscape, he realizes that what he wants isn’t just academic—he yearns for a life with her on the ranch. If she discovers his deception, this professor-turned-cowboy will lose his reputation…and Lavonda, too.

This is a really sweet romance story that is character driven and whose cast includes an opinionated cat and a donkey who thinks the cat is his BFF.

The Accidental Cowboy has plenty of adorable, charming and special moments sprinkled throughout. The romance that grows between Lavonda and Jones occurs in spits and spurts. There are mistaken assumptions, untruths or partial truths and marriage proposals for all the wrong reasons that create conflicts between them. Most are rectified and the main characters make up, and then there are the ones that cause some serious emotional plot twists that make a reader wonder if they’ll ever be honest with each other and come clean on all levels.

The one thing that annoyed me was Lavonda forcing Jones to admit what he was really doing. I simply could not understand the complete disregard for the possibility that Jones might be onto something. I didn’t like how the revelation was handled, how the university responded or how the people involved acted. Then, Lavonda finally lets her starch out, regrets her prudish demands and does an about face to then support Jones. All this at a time when his departure and lack of funding have finally become a reality does she finally decide to make the fateful journey to see what there was to see. I suppose better late than never, but this was the only area in the entire book where I did not think Lavonda a good heroine. I thought she was a ninny.

If not for that implausible conflict, the book is a good read. I thought the man/woman differences, the Scottish and the American differences, were well done, entertaining and put to good use. I’m a sucker for a rolling Scottish accent and Lavonda is no different except she actually gets her own Scotsman to romance her and I thought she was one heck of a lucky lady.

I’d classify this novel as a gentle romance with some light spicy loving to illustrate that both Lavonda and Jones are highly compatible. There are even some moments of effective self-sacrifice which showcases that they are worthy of the titles hero and heroine. The Accidental Cowboy ends with a confusing (because Lavonda comes from a loving but zany sounding family) but effective and humorous happy ever after that made the whole journey worth it. If you have time for a sweet read, then this is a good book to choose.

Had a stressful day? Had enough drama for a while? Then The Greek’s Nine-Month Surprise is the perfect book to kickback with and relax. This is a comfortable, sweet and well-told romance that is soothing and can make a reader happy because the HEA is so full of love.

I kept waiting for something harsh, sour or some other kind of manufactured conflict to heighten the tension but I never got it. This novel does have a conflict but it’s mostly internal, emotional and familial. There is passion between the two main characters of Niko and Sofia, but the author focused on their getting to know each other, and of Niko trying every way he could think of to seduce Sofia into saying ‘yes’ to marrying him. He has a few flops along the way. Niko’s got a lot to learn about being a well-rounded human being and I enjoyed Sofia teaching him in the only way she knew how – by being herself.

This is classic romance and quite entertaining. There were some dialogue gems sprinkled throughout that enhanced the story’s ability to grab my attention and keep it, and allowed me to connect with the hero and heroine.

I think the most poignant element was watching Niko discover his heritage, his family and how much his grandfather truly loved him. That was the strongest scene in the whole novel because it really tugged on my emotions.

The Greek’s Nine-Month Surprise is definitely worth a look. It has heart, it’s simple and it’s a pleasant, pleasing read. I’m happy I read it.

US Navy SEAL Shane O’Brian has no clue he’s being set up. All he knows is that Lark does incredible things to his libido. Still, Shane can’t quite bring himself to tell her what he does for a living. After all, their risqué business is temporary—no strings, no falling in love. Especially when there’s no way this SEAL would ever be tempted into anything more than a sexy little fling…

Lark Sommers has been working in a small-town coffeehouse for over a year now. The coffeehouse was her mother’s dream, before her passing. While it isn’t Lark’s dream, she promised her mother she’d keep it running, and keeping her word is important to her, even if the job is slowly killing her. When her best friend set her up with Navy SEAL Shane O’Brian though, life suddenly starts to become far, far more interesting.

I found this to be a fun, interesting, sexy read. I really loved how the author did an amazing job with the “slow burn” kind of relationship between Lark and Shane. This was no “meet and instantly jump into bed” style romance and I enjoyed reading how Lark and Shane danced around each other, got to know one another and generally had a far more realistic set-up to their eventual romance. I thought it incredibly funny Lark initially thought Shane was a stripper (not sure there are many SEALs out there who have been mistakenly taken for something like that!) and found the gentle mix of humour, friendship and lust reached an excellent balance.

The sex scenes were sensual and full of laughter and spice. I found them tastefully written and steamy enough to make a girl blush. It was the emotion and connection between Lark and Shane that made them really perfect to my mind though, and I think the pacing and slow-burn between them made the sex and blossoming relationship even more perfect than the physical acts themselves. Readers who like a bit of spice and lots of romance should find this book really satisfying on many levels.

This is a fun, spicy love story between two interesting people. I loved watching them come together and overcome obstacles of family and career choices. I particularly loved the deeply satisfying happy ending and was left with a warm, happy feeling of pleasure when I closed the book. Recommended.

The Scandalous Summerfields— Disgrace is their middle name!

Temptation. The results of giving into temptation can be disastrous, especially in Regency England.

Edmund Summerfield rescues a young lady from the hands of a ruffian on the streets of Brussels only to find she is his sister Tess’ sister-in-law. Amelie Glenville has been abandoned by her fiancé when she offers to comfort him before he goes off to fight Napoleon. Edmund escorts her back to the hotel where both of them willingly submit to the temptation of each other’s bodies.

They both assume the one night of passion was the one and only time they would be together, but fate has other plans for them. They must fight through the troubles of angry families, a move to the country and the doubts and insecurities they have for each other.

This Regency novel is quite refreshing. Amelie has quite modern ideas, although she tries to follow the restrictions of the period. Edmund hides his love, aware Amelie cannot possibly marry a man like him, born out of wedlock.

The story skillfully brings visions of the past into the present, side stories supporting the main plot, but still strong stories in themselves. A well turned book with strong characters and supporting characters who behave in censorious way I assume aristocracy would have in the Regency era. A very entertaining novel.

This is a great romance treat when you need a quick happy ever after fix. I like the theme of the ‘marriage of convenience’ that catches both parties by surprise by turning real. I never know how it’s going to come about and in The Greeks’ Ready-Made Wife I was pleasantly amazed. This story has a flavor of O. Henry’s famous theme and a bit of Horatio Alger thrown in too.

The conflict is mixed with a family betrayal, tragedy and loss, and a child’s yearning for a parent’s forgiveness and acceptance even into adulthood. The story is told by both Kyra and Cristo’s point of view, but it’s mostly through Kyra’s because her character has the most to lose and gain depending how things go.

I enjoyed watching Kyra and Cristo’s non-relationship evolve, grow and change into true friendship. I liked how Kyra slowly, gently showed Cristo that there was more to life than work and she helped him gradually understand what he really was missing in life. He might be rich, influential and driven, but he was more than that and he deserved more than what he was settling for in his life. The heroine had the most to gain but Cristo needed change the most. Their growing romance was beautiful to watch.

Another beautiful aspect of this tale was the opportunity for healing, understanding and the promise of new beginnings. The Greeks’ Ready-Made Wife is full of positive vibes and love. I enjoyed the dialogue, the sweet humor and the many leveled happy ever after. I recommend this romance story to readers who want to satisfy their need for a feel good theme; The Greeks’ Ready-Made Wife delivers.

Indeed discounts will save some money even if pills are there a little costly than sildenafil cipla on the other stores. However, the shocking news that they are actually still married changes everything. Especially when Demetrius reveals he wants his princess back…preferably in time for Christmas!

The Prince’s Christmas Vow is an endearing, well told romance filled with heart and warmth. I like the premise – that they were so impetuous and passionate that they rushed to get married and then it went kablooey. Add in a little passage of time and maturity and they meet again; will the fires of passion flame out of control again? That’s a fascinating theme to explore and I really like what Ms. Faye did with the plot.

Demetrius and Zoe were wonderful together. I liked their chemistry, their dialogue and the little moments in the story that made it clear that their love was still very much present. Zoe’s the one with the conflict and she’s running scared. Her reasoning is noble, pragmatic and oh, so totally unnecessary, especially when those marriage vows have the meaning they’re supposed to. There’s a lot of hurt feelings and fear to wade through but eventually the truth comes out and it’s freeing.

The external conflict is mild but it’s there and it’s effective because the villain was described in such a way that it gave me the creeps. There’s a short but packed action scene that was quite exciting because it was written so well.

The downside is Zoe’s emotional baggage. I felt it went on too long and it drove me a little nuts. She thought she was making the best decision for Demetrius but I felt she was making the choice for him and it wasn’t fair. Considering the kind of man the author wrote him to be, I didn’t see him as someone who would see it Zoe’s way. It took some doing, again too long, but eventually love does win out and for that I’m very grateful.

The king was a very brief secondary character but his clever ploy was adorable. I give him high marks for trying. I even liked the tree decorating scene; it was another wonderful example of how perfect Zoe and Demetrius are together.

All in all The Prince’s Christmas Vow was a delightful read. It’s sweet, engaging and had some wonderful romantic elements. The happy ever after is completely satisfying. This is definitely a worthy story to spend time with.
