As Game Warden, Jack Chambers is responsible for the wildlife in and around Grizzly Cove, but he never expected to find a badly injured mermaid washed up on the shore near his house. He takes her in and helps her back to health, only to learn of the much greater danger held at bay, just off shore, and how it’s affecting the ocean-going shifter population.

Jack’s immediate problem is the pull the leviathan still has over the woman he is fast coming to believe is his mate. He has to save her, but they also need to work through the problems of a land shifter and a mermaid getting together. Can they make the relationship work? Or is he going to end up broken hearted when she returns to her watery home?

And who even knew there were mer people off shore? This is something the residents of Grizzly Cove are going to have to figure out, especially with the leviathan out there too, still posing a great threat to all creatures of the Light.

As Grizzly Cove’s Game Warden, Jack Chambers takes his responsibility to the town seriously. With the leviathan out in the water, Jack has increased his patrols, watching for any sign of danger. When he comes across a woman on the beach, battered and bleeding, he makes it his duty to help her as best he can. He thinks that she just may be a mermaid, because as he came upon her, she was glowing, and as he watched, her tail became two legs.

Grace wakes up confused; the last thing she remembers is fighting to escape the evil being out in the water, but she wakes up in a warm, soft bed. As she begins to put the pieces together, she is drawn to Jack, and wants to explore what might be growing between them. Jack wants what his brother the sheriff has, a mate to love and grow old with. But he has to wonder, can a mermaid and a bear be mates? His bear thinks so, but he takes things slow, wanting to be sure Grace feels the same, and besides, she needs to heal after her ordeal with the leviathan. Can these two magical beings find their way to true love? Can Grace accept what Jack is offering? Can these two find a way to block the compulsion that the leviathan is sending to keep Grace safe from its evil lure?

Saving Grace is Bianca D’Arc’s next book in the Grizzly Cove series. Ms. D’Arc has added some new characters, folks who are in dire peril from the evil leviathan, because they are water dwellers. I like watching the town grow, as each new species appears in Grizzly Cove. I love the small town feel of the town, and the way everyone is willing to pitch in to help when things get rough. And all of the characters are strong and well defined, with many facets to them. This is a town I really would love to visit.

Jack Chambers is the brother of the sheriff, but has a much different character. He is quiet and more solitary, which is why his job as Game Warden suits him. He is strong and loyal, but he is also lonely. I like seeing Jack learning about mer folk, and how they live and trying to get closer to Grace as his attraction to her grows. I like that Jack is open to trying, even if he gets his heart broken if Grace feels different than he does.

Grace is a mermaid, magical and courageous. She is a survivor, and has managed to escape the evil leviathan although she is worried about her friends still in the water. I enjoyed seeing her react to Jack, and giggled at her inner dialog about whether he is interested. I like that they are both just a bit reticent about rushing the other, and I liked that Grace was so accepting of Jack being a bear instead of another mer being. She is ready and willing to take the next step, and when danger ties to take her, she discovers she is stronger with Jack by her side.

As the leviathan continues to pose a threat offshore, the residents of Grizzly Cove want to find a way to offer sanctuary to any of the water dwelling beings if need be. The ceremony Jack’s friend Gus, the shaman, performs is lovely, and helps to balance out their powers to help keep Grace safer from the lure of the creature. There are some very touching scenes, some humorous spots, and lots of hot in the rain passion. This is one for those who believe in magic and love, and enjoy the battle between good and evil. Keep the fan on high and the tissues close, and enjoy the visit.

A man with a plan…

John is the Alpha bear of Grizzly Cove, a town built to his own design, made up mostly of bear shifters. He brought them all together, so it’s on him when the community comes under attack.

He needs her help to combat the evil targeting the town, but there seems to be more to their relationship.

A battle to the death…

When evil attacks from the ocean, can John afford not to utilize Urse’s skills to protect the town and people in it? Better still, can John reconcile his inner bear’s demand that she is his mate, with his lifelong dream of leading his people into a new way of living—in a town built just for them? Or will he have to give up Grizzly Cove in order to keep the woman he loves?

It has been a strange few weeks in Grizzly Cove, and Alpha John Marshall is starting to wonder what will happen next. Three of his friends have found mates, a Master vampire washed up on the beach, and a ‘sea monster’ has taken up residence in the cove.

When he pays a visit to the new bookstore in town to welcome the two human women, Ursula and Amelia Ricoletti, to the town, he discovers that they have not been completely honest…they are more than just human, they are strega, hereditary Italian witches, magic users. When he confronts the town lawyer with the knowledge, Tom surprises him by telling him about an experience he had with a strega during a conflict years before. While John considers whether the women can stay, the ‘sea monster’ is identified as a leviathan, a being of great evil, and it is trying to consume the magic of the shifters and others gathered near the cove. Ursula is a descendent of a famous Marsican bear and his strega mate, and her magic is uniquely suited to building a permanent ward to protect the people of Grizzly Cove, that is, if the Alpha lets them stay. The more John is around Ursula, the stronger his bear is at telling him that she is their mate. When other magical beings arrive in a time of crisis, John has to decide whether they are what they say, and when help comes in the form of the fey, Cameron, John must decide to accept that he is who, and what, he says he is. Can John accept a magical woman for his mate? Will the other bears accept Ursula and Amelia, knowing they are not fully human? How much will Ursula sacrifice to stop the evil of the leviathan from affecting Grizzly Cove and its residents?

Alpha Bear is the fourth of Bianca D’Arc’s Grizzly Cove series, and things are starting to get dangerous and exciting in this small Pacific Northwest community. New people, not all of them human, are coming, and some will form alliances to combat the evil that seems to be growing. The characters in this town are starting to show their courage and loyalty to good in their actions, and I like the way they are supporting each other in this time of evil intent. I like the way Ms. D’Arc adds new characters to the mix, just when they are most needed, and that these ‘new’ characters are not exactly new, just new to this venue. This world is getting more fascinating with each book, even as the danger grows.

John Marshall is the mayor/Alpha of Grizzly Cove, and he takes his responsibilities very seriously. He is strong and smart, and at first he is angry about what he sees as the deception that the Ricoletti sisters perpetrated. I liked that John kept an open mind, and was willing to seek information about strega before making any decision. And I loved watching as he had debates with his inner bear about Ursula and what she was to them. I like that John is cautious about those who move to ‘his’ town, and yet he is also fair, giving every chance to prove worth.

Ursula Ricoletti is a very powerful strega, with a bit of bear blood far back in her heritage. She is on the side of the Light, and is worried that she and her sister will be told that they have to leave Grizzly Cove. When she learns that her Nonna (grandmother) had a premonition that the sisters would be needed there, she encouraged them to move there. I like that Ursula is not intimidated at all by the Alpha, and that she is more than willing to go toe to toe with him when she knows she is in the right. I like watching as she started giving of herself to help the town, and I enjoyed watching the dance between Ursula and John.

This book is a little darker that the previous books in the series. We get the first real look at the power of the leviathan, and just how evil it is, and how much it will take to protect Grizzly Cove. There is also the question of whether the bears are willing to accept mages, witches, and magic users in the town, at least until they are shown how valuable the magic can be. This book showcases the battle that is beginning, the age old conflict of good versus evil, and hints of worse things to come. There are also some lighter moments, and some very passion filled encounters between Ursula and John. Ms. D’Arc continues to enrich this world with colorful and richly detailed characters, and I enjoyed the visit of a few ‘old friends’ from other books as well. This is for those readers who like bear shifters and magic and romance, ad having things just a bit dangerous. On caution, read with the lights on…that leviathan is one scary sea monster.

Sheriff’s Deputy Zak is one of the few black bear shifters in a colony of grizzlies. He’s used to taking guff from his comrades, but it’s all in good fun. He’s fought beside these guys for many years and it’s time they all stopped roaming and picked a place to settle. Grizzly Cove seemed as good a place as any when the idea was proposed, and Zak likes the slow-moving police work in the sleepy coastal town.

If you want to purchase viagra best from the nearby drug store and these are available in the online pharmacies. levitra prices This helps you feel more active and even acts as a mood elevator. When his job takes him into closer proximity to the lovely Tina, though, he finds he can’t resist her. Could it be he’s finally found his mate? And when adversity strikes, will she turn to him, or run into the night? Zak will do all he can to make sure she chooses him.

Grizzly Cove is growing every day. Sheriff Brody and Tom Masdan, the town lawyer, both found mates in the human Baker sisters. After the threat to Ashley back is resolved, Tom and Brody want to make sure that the remaining sister is protected when she works the late shift. To keep Tina safe, Brody asks his deputy, Zak Flambeau, to watch over her. Zak finds this to be the easiest duty the sheriff has ever assigned, because even Zak’s bear is attracted to the youngest of the Baker sisters. For her part, Tina has the same attraction to Zak, and she secretly decides he is going to be her ‘forever bear’ if she has anything to say about it.

When a Master bloodletter shows up at the bakery on night, injured to the point of madness, Zak quickly steps up to protect Tina and call in the troops to handle the threat. It turns out, Master Hiram is not the threat here but the victim of an attack by a ‘sea monster’ and once his story is heard, the town leaders (the Alpha, sheriff and lawyer) offer to help. But when Zak and Tina go on a picnic, Tina is attacked by whatever is in the water, and Zak goes bear to save her. Will Tina and Zak be the next mated couple? What is the next step against the danger under the waves in the cove? Is this an isolated incident, or just a harbinger of worse to come?

Night Shift is the third of the Grizzly Cove series, and the first that begins to point toward a greater threat to the town, and to humanity as well as the shifters. I liked that, in this book, Ms D’Arc brings in some new characters not seen in the town before, like Master Hiram, the bloodletter. This world is expanding, and each character added comes with a rich and detailed history behind them. I like that Ms D’Arc chooses to not call her vampires by that slightly overused term, but indicates that ‘they prefer the term bloodletters’. This is the first real danger that has surfaced (almost literally) in Grizzly Cove, and I enjoyed watching how the bears handled it.

Zak Flambeau is the Grizzly Cove deputy, but unlike most of the residents, he is not a massive grizzly bear. Zak is a slightly smaller black bear; still strong and deadly, but faster and more cunning when in action. I like Zak for the confidence he has, both about who he is and what he can do. I like that he came from a rough beginning and built himself a better life in the military, turning his fellow bears/troops into the family that he never really had. Seeing Zak with Tina shows how honorable and caring he is. And it doesn’t hurt that he is hot and sexy, either; Zak is the whole package.

Tina is the youngest of the Baker sisters, and has been, by her own admission, a bit of a wild one. She wants what her sisters have found; someone to love her and be there for her. When Zak draws protection duty, she gets to know and admire him, and when he springs into action to keep Master Hiram from doing any harm, she realizes just how much she likes the deputy. Hiram may be more polished and urbane, but it is Zak’s slightly rough around the edges character that draws her to him. I like Tina’s determination to make Zak her ‘forever bear’ and I enjoyed watching as she took the initiative with him on their first date. I also like her courage, that she didn’t outright panic when the ‘sea monster’ tried to pull her into the cove.

This is the first hint of the danger that appears to inhabit Grizzly Cove, and the powers behind it. There are new characters introduced in Master Hiram and ties to the greater were community at large. There is also passion, humor and surprises in store, and there were times when I actually giggled at the silliness of the characters. But this one is definitely a bit darker, with the, as yet unnamed, ‘sea monster’ in the cove threatening those in the town. The scorching heat between Zak and Tina boils over in places, and the heat is unbelievable at times…how can two people be that hot together and not spontaneously combust? If you like your shifters big and sexy, and you’re ready for a happy ever after while still leaving a threat hanging over the town, then this is the story to read. But keep plenty of ice on hand, you will need it.

Or will she run from him, and the secrets of Grizzly Cove, forever?

As the lone attorney for Grizzly Cove, Tom Masdan is responsible for vetting every person who wants to move to the town. He approved the Baker sisters’ move to Grizzly Cove, and yet, he has not visited the bakery like everyone else in town. Now, with Brody mated to the oldest of the sisters, the Alpha asks Tom to check out the rest of the sisters to be sure they can be trusted to keep the secret of the town.

When Tom stops by to speak to Ashley, his bear sits up and declares ‘mate’ in no uncertain terms. As an attorney, Ashley admires the way Tom thinks, and is also taken with the fact that, besides being smart, Tom is very easy on the eyes. Of course, most of the shifters in Grizzly Cove are fine specimens of male delight, but she finds Tom even more attractive than most. When Tom reveals that he knows about the unfortunate incident that drove the Baker sisters to relocate, he lets Ashley know he is completely on her team, and that unless it becomes necessary, it is her secret to tell or not. When trouble, in the form of one nosy and persistent reporter arrives, the bears of Grizzly Cove decide to rally around Ashley and pay a furry visit to him at his campground, scaring him out of town and keeping Ashley safe. When Tom tells Ashley he thinks they are mates, she lets him know that she is ready to be with him too. Can Ashley accept his bear, with all that mating entails? Will the town accept that these human women are here to stay?

Mating Dance is the next episode of the Grizzly Cove series. I like that this world keeps expanding, and that the loyalty of the community is willing to accept humans as well as all varieties of bears. I loved the small town feeling of Grizzly Cove, and liked learning about the various talents each of the bears is developing.

Tom Masdan is the town lawyer, smart and loyal to the community. He has the responsibility of making sure that the folks approved to move to Grizzly Cove are not a danger to the town and the secret it holds, and he takes his responsibility very seriously. He knew all about the incident in Ashley’s past, and he felt that what happened was not her fault, and felt that she and her sisters would be an asset to the community, and now, having met her and found that she may just be his mate, he will make sure that she and her family is safe.

Ashley Baker is smart, but she is trying to stay out of the public eye after the incident in her past. This town of Grizzly Cove is where she hopes to make a new start, and her sisters support her no matter what. When she finds out that Tom, the town’s sexy and handsome lawyer knows about her past, she is afraid she will have to run again. She is shocked by her attraction to the town lawyer, and stunned when he seems to feel the same about her. I like that Ashley is not afraid to get closer to Tom, and enjoyed watching as these two found out how fast a relationship can move with the right partner.

There are lots of seriously hot encounters between Tom and Ashley, once they get past the initial meeting. I laughed so much at the description the men gave of how they ‘persuaded’ the reporter to leave town when he came looking for a story about Ashley, and how the bears all protected the sisters from the perceived threat of exposure. There are some very sweet moments in this as well, but it is one very hot romance; these bears don’t play around once they have met their mate, that is for sure. I look forward to more in this world, and recommend this to anyone who likes hot bear shifter romance.

Welcome to Grizzly Cove, where the sheriff has more than the peace to protect. The proprietor of the new bakery in town is clueless about the dual nature of her nearest neighbors, but not for long. It’ll be up to Sheriff Brody to clue her in and convince her to stay calm—and in his bed—for the next fifty years or so. Yeah, that might be enough. Then again, maybe he’ll keep her forever.

Grizzly Cove…an idyllic town, established as an artist’s colony. Peaceful, but with one unusual feature…most of the residents of this small town are bear shifters, recently retired from Special Forces and trying something never done before, live together as a community. The notable exceptions to this are the fully human Baker sisters, Nell, Ashley and Tina. Ironically, they own and operate the only bakery in town.

Sheriff Brody finds Nell the most attractive of the sisters, and his inner bear says she is their mate, but he is not ready to expose the secret of Grizzly Cove to her. When a drunk koala shifter comes to the bakery and shifts right in front of Nell, the sheriff is conflicted; happy that Nell now knows his secret, but angry that the crazy Australian shifter was so careless. Nell has been attracted to the handsome sheriff, but felt that he was not interested until the episode in the bakery, now she is delighted to find that Sheriff Brody is determined to pursue a relationship with her. Can Nell accept Sheriff Brody’s other side? Will Brody finally be able to claim his mate? And will Nell need to keep the secret of the shifters from her two sisters?

Grizzly Cove is a new community crafted by Bianca D’Arc, with charismatic and intriguing characters and idyllic locations. It is an experimental town, filled with shifters and shifter magic, under the guise of being an ‘artist’s colony’ where each of the retired soldiers finds a way to be creative and contribute to the town. I loved the idea that these dangerous Special Forces shifters were using hidden talents and finding out that they were good at something besides being warriors. Ms. D’Arc has filled her town with a variety of characters, from the wood carving sheriff, the lawyer who paints and many others.

Sheriff Brody is strong and handsome, and keeps the town safe and secure. He can’t reveal his feelings to Nell, until the koala shifter exposes the shifter world right in the middle of the Baker sisters’ bakery. I like that Brody is loyal and truthful, and yet is conflicted, wanting Nell as his mate, but not willing to expose the town’s secret. And I liked watching as he took care of Nell to help ease the shock she got after the event.

Nell Baker is the eldest of the sisters, and is smart and funny and protective of her sisters. I enjoyed seeing the way she handled the shock of learning that beings of myth and legend actually exist without panicking. She is able to accept what is happening between herself and Brody, and only asks that they progress slowly. I like that, while she is worried about the effect this will have on whether she and her sisters will be allowed to stay in the one place they have been comfortable in, she wants to see where this ‘thing’ with Brody will go.

There are some fun twists in this one, from the Australian shifter who gets belligerent when inebriated, to the panda shifter and her daughter who love the sweet treats from Nell’s bakery. I like the close knit community that is forming here in Grizzly Cove, and the secrets that are slowly coming to light as we get to know the inhabitants. There are some very hot scenes between Brody and Nell, and there is truth to the rumor that, for bears, everything is better with honey. Do Nell and Brody reveal the secret of Grizzly Cove to Nell’s two sisters? You will have to read the book for the answer to that question. I recommend you run the fan on high while reading this, and be ready for lots of laughter in this romance.

‘Tis far better to love in hell than to live in heaven.

Ethereal Foes, Book 1

As a demon of the Ethereal, it’s Duncan Sinclair’s job to sway humans toward the path to hell. Duncan is very good at his job–until a prank gone wrong lands him in the upper realm doing penance. Now he’s being bombarded with love, kindness, and affectionate sex…and it’s killing him. The only way out is to agree to sway souls for heaven, with an angel as his partner, by all that’s unholy.

Another study showed that men, who have sex three to four times a week, have 50% lesser death side effects from viagra rate than to those who have it once a month. It will tadalafil india cialis help you meeting the real you. Because of litholytic nature of apamarg is very beneficial in breakdown of kidney and bladder cipla cialis canada stone. Sapphira may be an angel of the upper realm, but she chafes in a bland existence where everything is so pure. It’s hard to hide her secret yearning for sin. Even harder with Duncan, who’s everything the dark core of her soul craves: handsome, sexy and refreshingly naughty.

Confronted with an angel who drinks, swears, and takes him to bliss with her sinfully delightful body, Duncan finds himself at risk of losing his heart to the enemy.

Loving this angel could land him right where he doesn’t want to be–heaven. But what’s a demon to do when he’s falling?

When a prank goes wrong, Duncan Sinclair has to face his father’s punishment for endangering his sister, even if it did result in her finding her mate. Duncan’s punishment…seven days in the custody of Uriel, the angel in charge who wants nothing more than to convert Duncan to the side of good.

As a demon in charge of swaying souls to the other side, Duncan is determined to endure the punishment and spoil Uriel’s plans. But when Uriel pairs Duncan with the lovely Sapphira and sends them to the human realm, things become complicated. Sapphira may be an angel, but she hates the rules and regulations she has to follow, and James is stunned when he finds that he is attracted to this confusing but beautiful angel. When these two work together to sway souls, James realizes that there is something intriguing and different about ‘his angel’ and decides to explore the connection he feels. Can these two find a way to fulfill Duncan’s penance and not change the rules? Will the secret behind Sapphira’s true nature be revealed? Will Duncan and Sapphira have a Happy Ever After away from the Heavenly realm, foiling Uriel’s plans?

Duncan’s Descent is the second offering in the Ethereal Foes series from Marie Harte. It is a world filled with all sorts of paranormal beings: demons, angels and other interesting characters existing alongside human kind. I like that, even for demons, there are certain rules that must be followed, and family is the first priority to most beings. I like the world Ms Harte has created, and the characters that inhabit this unique place.

Duncan Sinclair has just one job: sway souls to Hell. He is very good at his job, but when he and his brother cause a major upheaval and cause problems for Heaven, he has to pay the price for bad judgment. Duncan is strong and determined not to succumb to the ‘tortures’ administered by Uriel…love and kindness that causes him physical pain. When Uriel assigns an angel to work with him on the earthly realm to sway souls to Heaven, Duncan finds that he is drawn to the angel like never before in his life. I like Duncan, with his sarcastic wit and his strength and determination.

Sapphira is a beautiful angel, but there are secrets surrounding her that not even she is aware of. She hates the rules that she has to live by in Heaven, and is happiest when she is on the earthly plain, where she has some freedom to do many un-angelic things…drink, swear and enjoy earthly pleasures. When she is partnered with Duncan, she sees the other side of the coin, and finds that not all souls should be sent Heavenward. I like Sapphira, with her smart mouth and her attitude, and her willingness to see both sides of an issue. When she finds herself drawn to Duncan, I like that she was willing to explore the feelings between them, and I liked that she was willing to stop him when he seemed to be ready to turn ‘good’ for her.

There are some intriguing twists to this story, especially the big secret of Sapphira’s true nature. There is a buildup of passion, and when these two finally get together, it explodes like fireworks and leaves them both a bit stunned at it all. The behind the scenes manipulation of Uriel and the secret revealed by Sapphira’s mother are subtly done, and well thought out. I really loved the misdirection by Asael (Duncan’s father) about Sapphira and her possible parentage, and how it affected the principals in the story. I recommend this one be read while in air conditioned comfort, because it does get hot and steamy on its on merits.

He quickly realizes she is a nephilim, a rare offspring of an angel and a human, and powerful in her own right. Zelec doesn’t do love, but something about Ella continues to draw him in. When she has a vision of horrible beings set to conquer the planet, she collapses, and Zelec takes her to the only safe place he knows of in the Ordinary…James Sinclair’s penthouse.

When Jentaron encounters Ella there, he realizes that she is part of his destiny, one of his mates, and that the other is Zelec. Only if all three bond together can they hope to defeat the Hunger, and evil like no one has seen. The hunger is determined to destroy all in its path, but with Jentaron leading, there is a union of angels, demons, dragons and all other paranormals in this world, all united to meet a common enemy. Can the different groups work together to defeat the Hunger, or will the petty squabbles endanger all of humanity and the other realms? Can Ella and Jentaron convince Zelec that they want him forever, not just for the battle ahead? And will the shock of learning about their parentage cause Ella and Zelec more problems?

The Dragon King: Not So Ordinary is the final episode of Marie Harte’s Ethereal Foes series. It is a story filled with danger, passion and lots of surprises for many of the characters that live in this world. The world building has been consistent throughout, and the characters continue to be well crafted and unpredictable. I like that, even after three previous books, there was more to learn about each character, and there were many surprises revealed in this one.

Jentaron is the King of the Dragons, and he is a mix of innocence and sensuality. Those around him continuously underestimate him, and belittle him. He hides his power, because he knows it is not the right time to let others know what he knows; that there is a war coming, one that could end the world as they know it. He knows he must unite the many different groups, angels, demons, dragons and other beings if they want to defeat their common enemy. Watching as Jentaron slowly reveals his actual powers is a treat, and as he finds his mates to boost his levels, I really enjoyed watching him finally come into his position as a leader. I also liked that he did not lose his joy in the little things in life, and still enjoyed having fun, in spite of the pressure he is under.

Ella is a strong and powerful female, but she has no idea that what she calls her ‘family gift’ is in fact a powerful effect of being a nephilim. She thought she was human, and only after meeting two super hot males does she learn what she really is. As she grows closer to Jentaron and Zelec, she begins to discover just how powerful the three of them are together. I like Ella, with her snarky attitude and her determination to see where the relationship with her guys will go next. I loved that she was willing to accept who and what she is, and I really laughed when she finally met her father and discovered the source of all her power.

Zelec is a strong and sexy higher demon. He says he doesn’t do love, but his actions don’t match his words. He has a vulnerability that very seldom shows, but both Ella and Jentaron sense that there is more to him than he lets on. I love Zelec because he doesn’t apologize for anything…he is a demon and proud of it. He is an especially powerful demon, and the reason behind his powers becomes clear when his parentage is finally revealed to him, almost by accident. He is determined to leave once the battle is fought, but I enjoyed watching as Ella and Jentaron broke down his defenses and showed him that they loved him, just as he is.

This story brings in the worst danger possible, a horde of beings determined to decimate every being on the world, and destroy humanity and the other realms as they have done to many other worlds before. There is humor in this, and lots of dragon/demon/nephilim passion, but there is also danger and fear as well. It shows that to be victorious, sometimes enemies must unite in the face of overwhelming odds to defeat a common foe, and that only with a true sharing of passion can the enemy finally be defeated. There are surprises here, some very shocking and one I did not see coming at all. I found this to be a very satisfying conclusion to the Ethereal Foes series, with all of the threads brought together to a close. I do recommend a lot of cold drinks, air conditioning and tissues, as there are tears, laughter and lots of very hot and passion filled scenes.

When a demon and a dragon get busy, “burning up the sheets” gets real.

Ten days of servitude to Teban, the dragon prince—James’s best friend. Such a light sentence has to have a catch, so James does what any good demon would do. He bolts.

His string of bad luck holds steady when he falls prey to a pretty woman with sharp teeth. Kihra is havoc, a race of lower-realm creatures even demons fear. All seems hellishly perfect—until the angels arrive for some payback. Kihra’s kidnapped, Teban is missing, and James suffers the beatdown of the millennium. But he has no intention of letting his lovers go, though he risks the wrath of the demon king, the ire of the dragons, and an angelic punishment that could start a world-ending war.

Steal a dragon egg…blame it on the angels…what could possibly go wrong?

James Sinclair learned that not all pranks are good ideas, especially if the dragon egg in question just happens to be a royal egg, and holds the next King of the Dragons. For his penance, his father Asael sentences him to ten days of servitude to Teban, prince of dragons and brother to the, now hatched, egg in question. While Teban is James’ best friend, James is not quite sure what is in store, so he does what any smart demon would, he runs. Unfortunately, James gets lost, and is caught by an adolescent Havoc, a race he knows nothing about other than they are extremely bloodthirsty and strong. When the young Havoc’s aunt comes along, she has decided she likes how James looks and decides she will keep him. When Teban catches up with James, he is also ‘taken’ by Kihra, and together Teban and Kihra decide to claim James as their own. Things heat up once Kihra and Teban take James back to Teban’s home and each of these three claims the others in a hot and steamy triad. When the angels kidnap Kihra as payback for the prank James started, will James be able to rescue her in time? Will Teban survive his impromptu visit with the Havoc deity Kingu and return in time to save James? Can James accept that he has feelings for both Teban and Kihra? Can these three stay together in the face of opposition from the Havoc and the angels?

Havoc and Hell is a return to Marie Harte’s Ethereal Foes world, where paranormal beings exist and passions run high. This tale gives a glimpse of beings that even the demons fear, a dangerous race known as the Havoc. This is a look into one of the lower realms, with the different beings that inhabit that world. I enjoyed the descriptions of the homelands of the Havoc, and the many ways it differs from what the inhabitants call ‘the Ordinary’ or the realm of humanity.

James Sinclair is a strong and smart demon, twin to Duncan and more than a bit of a rascal. It was his idea that started the whole mess, and now that he is to pay, he does what demons do best…he tries to escape his punishment. When he meets Kihra, he is drawn to her, and is a bit surprised by the strength of his attraction to the woman. I like James and his snarky sense of morality, and his determination to avoid his punishment. I also like that he is honest enough to admit it when he realizes his attraction to Teban as well as the one to Kihra.

Teban is the dragon prince, strong and handsome, and very determined to finally make James his mate. He also wants Kihra in his life as a mate as well. I like the chemistry that is so palpable when these three are together, and I was very impressed when Teban made the ultimate ‘sacrifice’ for Kihra. I like the passion that Teban lives his life with.

Kihra is a wild being, like no woman either of these two males has ever met. I like her combination of sensuousness and innocence, a seductress with a sweetness that shows in her wide eyed amazement of the dragon world. I also like that she is determined to ‘keep’ both James and Teban, claiming that they are hers because of her devotion to her deity, Kingu, as her reward for her life of service to Kingu and her people.

There are some interesting twists to this one. When the angels kidnap Kihra and lay the blame on the demons, there is threat of a war between demon kind and the Havoc, and Kihra must pretend to like Heaven until her rescue comes. There are secrets hinted at but left unsolved for now, and there is a mystery of what the new dragon king knows and his ultimate plan for everyone. I read this late one night and could not put it down. I recommend lots of ice water and tissues, because there are tears and laughter and scorching hot passionate encounters between James, Kihra and Teban.

Worse, it’s a royal egg, as she learns from Ranton, the furious commander of the dragon legion.

Not a creature to have on one’s bad side, Ranton shifts between his human and dragon forms, keeping Eve off-balance and off her game. Normally a master at manipulating males, Eve finds that Ranton is more than a match for her…as is his brother, the new dragon king. In their arms, she’s mere putty.

And soon they’re not only molding her desires, but her heart.

It started off as a prank, but as usual, Eve discovered that her brothers took it one step too far. When Duncan and James stole a dragon’s egg and tried to blame the angels for it, Eve is left to clean up the fallout. When she discovers it is a royal egg, she retrieves it and tries to do the right thing and return it, when she is caught by Ranton, head of the Dragon Legion. He is determined to make her pay for the crime, even though she was returning the egg when she was caught. Complicating matters, the dragon in the egg has forged a mental attachment to Eve, and is determined to keep her after he hatches. Ranton has also claimed Eve as his mate, along with his younger brother Jentaron, future King of the Dragons. As Ranton and Jentaron hunt for their missing mate, Eve tries to get on with her life swaying souls to the demon side. When Asael, father of Eve, Duncan and James, learns of the situation, he sets up a meeting with all concerned to mete out punishment to his wayward children. Eve is given to Ranton to serve as Jentaron’s guardian as Ranton does. Can Eve accept her role as Guardian to the Dragon King? Is she ready to accept Ranton as her mate, with all that entails? Can a demon and a dragon truly bond and live together?

Dragon’s Demon is the first in Marie Harte’s Ethereal Foes series, setting the basis for the world filled with Demons, Angels, Dragons and other supernatural beings. There are many intrigues in this world, with battles for good and evil, and unusual alliances to come. This is a world filled with danger and delight, and lots of humor and passion. The characters are multi-faceted, neither wholly good or bad, but like most folk, just a mix of it all.

Eve Sinclair is a demon that sways souls, as are her two brothers. She dislikes turmoil and injury to innocents, and tries to make her quota without harm. When she learns of the prank her two brothers played at the Angels’ expense, she is determined to protect the innocent Dragon egg and return it to its home. When the egg ‘speaks’ to Eve, she is shocked and quickly learns what he is destined to be. Eve is smart and strong, and she has a feisty spirit that keeps her on track.

Ranton is determined to make the demon pay for her actions, although he quickly discovered that Eve is much more than he expected. He is drawn to her and realizes she is his mate, and that his unhatched brother has opened a link to her as well. Ranton is strong, determined and willing to give Eve a chance to explain her actions. I like Ranton, and enjoyed seeing how he came to accept the bond between her and his brother Jentaron, and Eve’s place in both of their futures.

This is a hot and passion filled beginning to the world of the Ethereals, filled with humor, danger, passion and fantastic characters. I enjoyed seeing the story unfold and am ready to spend more time in this world that Ms Harte has crafted. I look forward to seeing the ‘punishment’ of the two culprits who started it all with their prank, Duncan and James, and also look forward to the future King of the Dragons’ story in Jentaron’s future. This one is best enjoyed with a cold drink and a lot of tissues, because there is both laughter and tears in this one.

Hades has one last trick up his sleeve…and this cat is running out of lives.

The curse that imprisoned the Lady of the Beasts’ warriors is broken. Their mates are safe from Hades, but not their human friends. As the only unmated warrior, Stavros retreats to the Louisiana bayou. Better to be alone than put anyone else in danger.

Then he senses a presence in his woods. It’s a woman stalking wildlife with her camera, a woman who has unwittingly put herself on Hades’ radar—for she is Stavros’ mate.

Wildlife photographer Toni Richards doesn’t need any man to be her hero. But when three suspicious men try to kidnap her, she’s shocked when the rare jaguar she’s been tracking leaps to her rescue—then morphs into a man. An incredibly sexy man with a jaguar tattoo snarling across his back.

Despite his better judgment, Stavros can’t keep his distance, even though he knows that when the time comes, much will have to be sacrificed to foil Hades’ plans. Stavros prays Toni will forgive him for what he must do to protect her soul.

Lure of the Jaguar is N.J. Walters’ most recent book in the Hades Carnival series.  The curse broken, the Warriors are free to settle in with their mates and begin to enjoy the modern world.

All but Stavros, the jaguar. He knows he has to be alone for the rest of his life, because any human woman he might show interest in could still draw Hades’ attention and endanger her life. Stavros has never felt the connection to anyone he has yet met, so leaving the city to live in the Louisiana swamp as the big cat is no hardship for him. Photographer Toni Richards is stalking the wildlife in the swamp, looking for unique opportunities to photograph, and she can sit for hours waiting for the perfect shot. When Stavros encounters her, something draws him to her, and he begins to understand the intensity his fellow Warriors felt as they met their mates. When three men threaten Toni in the swamp by her cabin, she is rescued by a magnificent jaguar, one that suddenly becomes the man she met earlier in the swamp, Stavros. He stops the men, and takes Toni to his cabin to try and foil Hades’ plot to take Toni’s soul and torture it for eternity. Stavros is willing to do whatever it takes to stop Hades, and protect Toni from the evil God. Can Toni come to accept what Stavros does? Will Stavros be able to act in time, or will Hades get this last chance at harming one of the Warriors?

I like this world, slightly dark but always optimistic that good will triumph over evil in the end. The characters are well defined and well matched, and I like that there is a gathering of all the previous characters to put some closure to this series. Now that Ms. Walters has given each of the immortal warriors their own HEA, I look forward to settling back and enjoying these in order again and again. It is fun to see where she interwove bits from each of the prior books into this, like Toni reading the graphic book by the earlier character.

Toni Richards is strong, intelligent and extremely independent. She takes care of herself, and doesn’t need a man to help her. But when three men try to kidnap her, and she discovers things are more complicated than they appear, she is smart enough to realize she is in over her head. She feels an instant attraction to Stavros, and is interested in seeing where it could go. I liked that Toni was willing to explore the feelings between them, and I liked her strength of character at not backing off as Stavros told her about Hades and the whole curse and such. I liked that she saw the unbelievable, and still listened before making any irreversible decisions.

Stavros, the Jaguar, is quiet, intense, and determined not to endanger any woman by becoming involved. He is determined to live alone, never knowing love, rather than doom a woman to the tortures of Hades. When he comes across Toni in the isolation of the swamp, he tries to stay away, but he just can’t stay away. When she is endangered, he knows it is up to him to keep her safe. I liked watching as Stavros found that one perfect woman for him, and enjoyed watching as these two danced around each other trying not to become involved. Watching Stavros fall for Toni was fun, and seeing his patience as she made her decision was enchanting.

There are appearances from the other Warriors and their mates, and an intriguing scene or two between Hades and Persephone, scenes that hint at the relationship these two once shared and what it must have been like. There are some scorching hot love scenes, and some tender and passionate moments as Stavros and Toni journey to their happy ever after. I would like to have seen on last visit from The Lady of the Beasts, but that didn’t lessen my enjoyment of this book or of the series. I would recommend this one to those who like shifters and independent women, and I would suggest that these seven books be read in order for the best enjoyment.
