Former Vegas showgirl Dahlia Burke can’t get out of Texas fast enough. She’s winding her way through rural Wilder, Texas when she plows into Tanner and Scooter’s work truck. Dead broke and stranded, will Dahlia find more than one reason to stay–or two more reasons to leave?

Tanner Dawson barely escaped with his life when Dahlia plowed into his truck. And once he and his best friend, Scooter, take her under wing, he’s not sure if she’s planning to love him to death or finish him off.

Scooter Austin can’t tolerate gold diggers. When he finds out Dahlia is newly divorced from a man who has a revolving door of trophy wives, Scooter’s ready to send her out of Wilder with the toe of his boot.

How will these cowboys know if Dahlia has a heart of gold or just an eye for all that glitters?

Larry Gatlin was right on target when he sang “Everything that glitters is not gold”. It takes loving and nearly losing for Scooter Austin to be reminded of that simple life lesson.

When Dahlia Burke literally ran into Tanner Dawson she wasn’t expecting the incident to change her life. Her growth from a woman who’s had her self-confidence beaten to a pulp to one who has the strength to walk away from the men she loves is a heart melting journey right back to their HEA. Hold onto your hats because the sexy cowboys in Wilder, Texas are the real deal! Tanner and his best friend Scooter simply ooze all the best characteristics of yummy cowboy heroes.

If you’ve read Ms. Darlin before, this story is all that you would expect. She has a very talented writing voice for drawing the reader right into the story with vivid descriptions, smooth transitions, layered plots and best of all a wonderful romance. They have charm, masculine beauty as well as a tangible sense of honor.

Speaking of tangible, there are only a couple of scenes in this novella where Dahlia and one the men make with the hot and heavy but WOW! If I had seen steam coming off my e-reader I wouldn’t have been a bit surprised. I’m convinced that Tanner is one of the more orally fixated characters that I’ve read in a while. He isn’t a bit conceited about his talent…he’s convinced and rightly so!

This may be considered a short story but it lacks in nothing except I want to visit Wilder, Texas more often and for longer stays. If you’ve read Ms. Darlin’s short story, Back for More, in the Tasty Treats Vol 2 book you’ll recognize a few familiar faces. It was nice to catch up with Alana, Rayne and Dirk and see that they are still just as firmly in love as when we last visited Wilder.

Have you got an hour or so to kill and a hankering for some juicy cowboy loving? If you answered yes, do yourself a favor and pick up a copy of Wendi Darlin’s All That Glitters. You’ll love the sassy spunk of Dahlia and be instantly won over by the men that fall in love with her. Their story has cemented Ms. Darlin as an automatic buy for this reviewer and I think you’ll find it was time well spent.

Kevin Marks escapes to the north woods to reignite his passion for photography and women. But the only flame he seems able to spark is for his latest photography subject, Teak Hildalgo, and Kevin’s never been in a man’s arms before.

Teak, the raven-haired, photographer’s dream come true, is hell bent on capturing Kevin’s heart. He takes Kevin, body and soul, on a romantic, sexual journey previously lived only in Kevin’s fantasies. And no dream was ever this good, no truth this undeniable.

Will Kevin ever be the same? When the camera’s put away, will Teak live up to his name?

This book jumps into a man’s life at the moment he realizes that his energy and enthusiasm for his current lifestyle is gone – his passion, his focus, his sense of self-satisfaction is in a confused state of stagnation. What’s a man to do when he has no idea what’s wrong to even begin to fix it? And is he strong enough to make a stand for his own happiness?

Kevin is the main hero who has to find out these answers out for himself. Professionally, he’s reached a successful plateau that has garnered him recognition, accolades and some measure of fame. But it means nothing. He has a delightful girl friend that is so sweet on him and patient, but he’s found it’s not enough. Kevin left to go to a place that, as a child growing up, he felt accepted and comforted. There he discovers so much more. This story is about how he handles his emotions and feelings as he learns who he really is and what will truly make him happy, and if he’ll find the courage to make his life complete. Those kinds of major changes don’t come without cost and the author explored their various levels to a welcome degree.

Teak, the second hero and the reason for the title, is a man who long ago accepted his lifestyle and orientation. He is a hard working man who goes after what he wants. It’s how he ended up in the town of Westcott. He catches Kevin’s assessing gaze and the hook is set. I liked that Teak understood and respected where Kevin was coming from. He didn’t push, dominate or embarrass the other hero at all. He acted normal and friendly and accepting. Teak knew the score, recognized the signals and seduced Kevin just by being his ordinary handsome self – with a few teases thrown in to whet the appetite.

It’s a slow/fast build-up. By that I mean, Kevin jumps in but backs off, like a puppy – wants to play but is a bit wary. He advances a bit and then hides emotionally – but not for long. Kevin is old enough of a character to know his own mind and he did a quick analyzing of his feelings. What he found brought joy to his heart but a lot of confusion too. That didn’t stop him from wanting to explore this new kind of relationship and I found it heartening that there was a hint of trust already building between the two heroes. There had to have been for what happens later in the book.

When they finally connect, emotionally and physically, the scenes are explosive. Even the little kissing skirmishes peppering the beginning of their relationship are hot. Ms. Church has a vibrant imagination and she shares the joy of exploring man on man loving enough times that erotic romance readers will find many opportunities for satisfaction.

What made this entertaining and interesting book better for me was the conflict. I could really sink my teeth into the seething rage, twisted vengeance and spiteful actions of one of the secondary characters. That was incredibly well written and I enjoyed how the author had Kevin handling it. He had class, brains and no nonsense attitude that really impressed me. He was as smooth as James Bond with just as much firmness and discipline in his actions. Another thing the conflict did was solidify Kevin’s acceptance of himself and his relationship with Teak. It was wonderful and thoroughly engaging.

The editing was good, dialogue well paced and clear to each character, and the development of Kevin and Teak’s relationship solidly built.

Hard as Teak is a story about taking chances on your dreams, of not settling for less but going for the brass ring and finding a joy beyond your wildest imagination. This story is as sizzling and scorching in the sheet department as an erotic romance reader could possibly wish. The sultry touches, the heat-filled eyes glazed in passion and the possessive and passionate hold each hero has for the other comes through with crystal clarity. The best part is Kevin finding happiness and a happily ever after he never thought he’d have. Teak is a good contrast to Kevin’s personality and Ms. Church made me believe their relationship is not only going to work but will be around for the long haul. Hard as Teak satisfied the romantic in me and I’m glad I read it.

Werewolves believe in soul mates. Sirens eat theirs.

Sirens, a mutation of mermaids, need sexual energy to survive. Marie Laframboise lost her only food source when her strip club burned down. Not wanting to kill any of her victims, she’d learned to glean the lust off her clients, and now she is starving. She can’t resist the temptation to invite herself to the singles shifter party held by local werewolf stud, Maxwell Cox, and feed.

Max doesn’t want a soul mate, but to his dismay, she shows up at his party. Just as Marie can’t resist the temptation to feed, Max can’t resist the instinctual urge to claim her. Marie has never wanted a relationship, but she can’t shake off Max’s pursuit. He offers her things she has only dreamed of, but she fears the hunger will turn those dreams into nightmares.

Her appetite is not one to mess with. Max thinks he’s found the perfect mate, but Marie may have found the perfect prey.

The price of a relationship, even one based on sex, is too high so instead she becomes a voyeur to the desire and arousal of others to feed the hunger that rules her.

Maxwell Cox, infamous party playboy and horny werewolf, began fighting a losing battle the moment he saw Marie. His inner turmoil stems from the pull he feels for her as a soul mate and rejection of the idea of being tied to one person for the rest of his life. Now his insatiable desires work against him and his instinctive urges to claim her take control as he works to convince his hardheaded would-be mate that they belong together.

I loved how confident and sexually aware these two characters are. They know what they want from each other on a surface level, but anything deeper and their immediate urge is to resist. They both yearn for something more out of life and when they find it that’s where the real battle of the sexes, wills, and species begins. Truly my only complaint is that the story went too fast and I would’ve loved to see more development on both the relationship and world building aspects, but everything else was pure enjoyment.

Readers will come for the visually sizzling cover, but stay for the intriguing storyline and erotic union of a werewolf and his siren.

I am not usually a big fan of short stories but after seeing book two of this series and wanting it I had to pick up book one Jennifer’s Lion to read as well. I’m one of those people who hate to read a series out of order. The cover was nice and the excerpt was good so I didn’t pay much attention to the word count which was a good thing or I would have passed over it, and missed out on a thoroughly entertaining story.

What surprised me was that, for such a short story it was full of details and action that kept me from feeling as though I was missing something or had been dropped into the middle of the book. The plot was full of action and fun that kept me entertained until the end.

The only thing I disliked about the book was that it was way too short — I didn’t want it to end. I wanted more. Ms. Lee is one author that I will be keeping an eye out for. I hope she’ll start writing longer stories in the same series because I found Jennifer’s Lion yummy and would love to read more!

British born Honey DeHaviland wanted one night of passion before she saved her widowed father, a Greek scholar, from financial ruin by entering into a loveless marriage. Who would have thought that the stranger who gave her that passion would be the very man who was to ferry her to Crete to marry another? The journey proved fateful, for Honey fell in love. But she couldn’t afford to marry a penniless man, and from what she could see, her dream man was truly penniless. When she accidentally learned that he was, indeed, wealthy and he proposed marriage, how could she accept without appearing shallow and mercenary? Her refusal is the finest performance she has ever given.

Nick Stamos, born in Greece but educated in Boston, used his boat to transport goods from island to island, mostly as a favor to the locals. Although he rarely spoke of his true wealth, he owned a vast vineyard on Santorini and was a prosperous man. But when a soft-spoken professor asked him to bring his daughter to Crete to marry a wealthy Greek, Nick found himself face to face with the very woman he had “saved” from two drunken sailors the night before. Their night of passion was one he would never forget. And when he learns the reason for her arranged marriage, he wants to make her his own. Her refusal makes him question many things. Could he have been so wrong about her feelings for him?

Through hot, sultry days and warm, Mediterranean nights, the lovers ignore their ill-fated destinies and revel in the sizzling, sultry depths of their passion.

Widowed and in need of gratification, Honey gives in to her lust for a sea captain who rescues her from two thugs late one night. Nick Stamos is a love ‘em and leave ’em kind of man but he becomes quickly intrigued by the woman he had in his arms for one night. Griff’s caution and Dante’s cockiness make them an unbeatable team. Talk about steamy hot men and lots of emotion! You’ve got it and more in Hot Head.

This story revolves a great deal around 9-11 and I’ve got to say it really adds to the story. The work is written in an exuberant, fast-paced manner. I couldn’t put it down once I picked it up. Damon Suede writes a great mix of comedy and heart. I felt like I was right there, practically inside Griff’s skin as he dealt with his life and feelings. Wildlife photographer Sarah Whitaker has an obsession with lions. When she hears there’s a dangerous, elusive, majestic, man-eating pride living in the heart of the Serengeti, she wastes no time in tracking them down. Funny thing, when she finally finds them, one particular lion seems to love posing for her camera.

Keto Rarh is amused when he finds out he has a stalker. Usually, he loves toying with humans, chasing and scaring the hell out of them. But this generously-curved black beauty makes him ache in all the bad places. She has a pretty smile, too. Exotic face. And ample flesh he can’t wait to get his hands on to. Maybe it was time for him to settle down with a mate.

Sarah’s too busy paparazzing the noble creature to realize the rules of the game have suddenly changed and that the stalker has become the stalked…

He is like a hurricane when he steps into Sarah’s cabin after seeing her taking pictures of him in his lion form on the Serengeti. Talk about a man that can sweep a girl off her feet! I spent so much time laughing at the characters and their antics. However, I need to add that if I came face to face with a lion I would not cream my panties as Sarah did. Wet them, maybe! But that is one of the exciting things about reading paranormal romance right?

I would recommend this book to anyone that loves a short but good shifter book with a cute and entertaining plot. I will never look at a big cat on the internet without remembering a few of the details from this book.

When Dr. Cameron Dalton agrees to treat an entire pack of shifters dying from a form of parvo, he has no idea that he’ll be getting more than he bargained for. He definitely doesn’t expect to be peed on by an adorable golden retriever puppy upon arrival. A bit stunned, Cameron can’t believe the sexy little man is his mate.

Quaid Sedgwick is excited to see that his best friend, Toby, has returned. But when he catches the most delicious smell and follows it to an equally delicious-looking man, instinct kicks in, and Quaid pees on the man, claiming him as his mate.

Cameron comes to learn Quaid is hiding something from him, and he suspects the worst. But is he jumping to conclusions, or is Quaid just not the mate Cameron was led to believe?

As soon as I finished reading this story, I just wanted to turn back to page one and start all over again. While the story may have been over, I was not ready to leave these mesmerizing characters.

Reading Quaid’s background almost brought me to tears. Not only was his story tragic but the author had me so emotionally attached to his character I felt as if he was a real friend of mind instead of just a character in a story. Then when Cameron failed to recognize what Quaid needed I was as infuriated as the secondary characters within this story. Luckily for Cameron he and Quaid were able to work out their problems and have their happily ever after, because if not I was jumping in the story and smacking him on the back of his head.

This does not mean that I did not like Cameron’s character. I had to learn why he reacted the way he did to situations, which really explained a lot. But there is no need to worry because old men can overcome the impotence problem with the help of the top drugstore levitra online.Sildenafil Citrate (levitra) is a discreet pill for the treatment of male impotence. I was happy the author gave me the information needed to enjoy his character as much as Quaid’s. No relationship is perfect, no man or woman is perfect, and we get to see this in Cameron. I did not have the privilege of reading the first installment of this series, but after getting introduced to the characters of the first story I immediately added it to my must read list. While I felt the biggest connection to the main characters, the supporting characters were just as entertaining. Little things like Toby slapping Carmeron made me get to know the supporting characters and anticipate their involvement within the storyline.

The relationship development within this story was consistent and entertaining. I was drawn into the relationship from page one and never felt detached. The antagonistic conflict within this story also added an extra bonus. I would have liked to see a little more of a dramatic climax in the antagonistic conflict. It seemed to have been solved a little too easily for me. This antagonistic conflict is also, why I labeled this a forced seduction. While the sexual act was not completed the antagonists did try to force themselves on one of the main characters, and it is mentioned that they have done so in the characters past. Even so, I still thoroughly enjoyed this story and would read it again, and recommend it to everyone I know who reads erotica.

Princess Charity Mossano of Milan is the Chosen One. She is forced to remain in hiding as a magical rogue wolf named Devlon continues to hunt her. He wants to mate her to gain her powers, destroy the circle of elders, and rule the world. She establishes Caliber, a security firm, to protect the last Royal were family, the Venificus triplets. Maximus, Luther, and Dante are individually powerful and dominant males. They get what they want and are superior in battle, in wealth, and in charm.

Fate leads Charity to the Royal Venificus estate. She realizes that the three handsome, powerful royal Alphas are her mates. While there, someone Devlon is working with attempts to kill Dante. She reveals herself and the battle of all times begins. With the help of her spirit sisters, Lexi and Antoinette, along with their Alpha mates, Charity must fight the evil villains and save the world.

The final conflict in the ultimate paranormal battle royal is about to begin. It will bring together weres, Fae knights, vampires, a goddess, the last remaining royal were family, the Venificus triplets and at long last The Chosen One.

Were Love Conquers All is the third in the Were Trilogy series. The stories began with Lexi discovering her own inner strength with the help of her mates Paul, Sabre and Andre in Were Love Found Her. Book two, Were She Belongs, joined Antoinette together with Luke, Brad, Jacob and Troy. Without giving away too much in case you haven’t read the first two books, Lexi and Antoinette discover they have a connection that will only be complete when The Chosen One is revealed.

Ms. Dwyer knows how to build suspense and anticipation! She teases just enough in the first two books to have readers impatiently waiting for the final installment. It did not disappoint.

Princess Charity Massano has been in hiding since the fateful night her parents were viciously murdered. She has always known that she would one day have to face the evil that has tried to capture her and steal her powers. As with Lexi and Antoinette, Charity wasn’t meant to do battle alone. With the help of her fated mates, the very powerful Venificus triplets Maximus, Luther and Dante, Charity learns that there is strength in numbers, help is only a thought away and when the battle seems lost love is more powerful than evil!

They could be read as stand-alone stories because the plots are so detailed and engaging but I don’t suggest it. The underlying evil makes a steady progression from book one right up to the end of book three.

After having read all three in the series, the direction Ms. Dwyer chose to take the stories makes all the more sense. Lexi’s story had to be first and then the introduction of Antoinette and finally the revealing of Charity to the were world. One of the hallmarks of Ms. Dwyer’s writing is the strong female lead. They may be broken a bit but they refuse to be doormats. It’s easy to understand why the men are completely devoted to their care and happiness.

Charity’s character was slightly different than Lexi or Antoinette. After meeting the Venificus men I understand why she had to be different. These men are the Alpha’s Alpha and their mate had to be just as strong in spirit as they were. Charity has talents and skills that match her men but do not overshadow them. That ability to lead and be led is central to their relationship. One of my favorite scenes in the book is when Dante is pursuing Charity while giving her a tour of their house. The word that comes to mind is SENSUAL! I was every bit as breathless as Charity by the end of that scene!!

I don’t know if Ms. Dwyer plans to continue the series but there are some wonderful secondary characters that I would like to follow as well as some blessed events that give hope to the future of the were society.

If you haven’t read the prior two books in the trilogy then this is the perfect time to start at the beginning and read all three straight through. The stories are fast paced and the characters are wonderfully developed. If you like lots of exciting action as well as steamy romance check out Ms. Dwyer’s Were Trilogy today.

As part of her duties she uses her home as a magical holding cell for creatures too strong to be contained in normal human jails.

Holden Sumner is a three-hundred-year-old vampire on a mission—he’s been stalking a serial-killing demon for centuries and he needs Kaitlyn’s help to kill it. The problem is, she won’t give him the time of night. But Sumner is determined to get under her skin.

Though Kaitlyn is reluctant to get involved with a vampire, she agrees to help Sumner search for the killer. But in order to drive the demon back to hell and stop the slaughter of innocents, she will have to bind herself more tightly than she ever thought possible to a man she doesn’t want to love.

She and Sumner must form a blood covenant…or die trying.

Ms. Anderson has crafted a sexy tale and just when I thought the action was over and true love would save the day, she dialed it up a notch and threw in a wrench on the machine. The chemistry between Kaitlyn and Holden is white hot and stays that way, and Holden is a super, sexy Alpha hero that is intent on having the powerful witch. But Kaitlyn isn’t sure the vampire has her best interests at heart and tries her hardest to steer clear, even though Holden isn’t a man you can say no to easily.

The characters in the book were well crafted and leapt off the page. Kaitlyn wasn’t perfect but she was a strong heroine and relatable. Holden ended up being more than just your two dimensional hero. While the sex was hot, it was a little tamer than her other books but still hot.

This book was highly enjoyable, especially with the sexy Alpha vampire. If you are looking for an erotic romance with a strong plot and super-hot sexual tension, Ms. Anderson has created a winner with this book and I can’t wait for her next story.
