Sterling Jeter, Renegade Super Soldier, is fearless, powerful, and wildly unpredictable. His life-threatening mission is to save the beautiful, brilliant astrobiologist Rebecca Burns from ruthless villain Adam Rain. But their immutable mutual attraction threatens to put them in the path of death… or worse…

Once you start this book, you won’t want to put it down.

I loved Lisa Renee Jones’ Harlequin Blaze books. When I got the chance to read this book, I jumped. I’m glad I did. Ms. Jones’ writing flows and buoys the reader from scene to scene. I needed to know what was going to happen next and how it would work out. Every time I thought I knew what was going to happen, Ms. Jones threw me a curve ball that completely worked for the story. I stayed up way too late and read furiously. It was worth it!

The plot is deliciously layered and complicated. This isn’t the kind of book you’d put down and walk away from. Why? Coming back, you’d need to do some heavy re-reading. They lose their regular bonuses viagra discount prices and get low pay, which can pile up abundant amount of anxiety, stress and even depression. As a result, the demand for this drug somehow decreased while the number of males who need this continue to spike up. buy cialis professional Tadalista is indeed a beneficial medicine for men who suffer from erectile cute-n-tiny.com ordine cialis on line dysfunction. Low body image Negative thinking about one’s body image can give rise to inferiority complex and low self-esteem are major contributions to viagra generic online the condition. That’s not a bad thing. I read this book over and over. Just keep in mind, to keep the plot twists and characters straight, a straight-through read is recommended.

Rebecca is a sweet character. An astrobiologist, she’s darned smart. She’s also got a deadly disease–cancer. Readers can relate to her struggle. She wants to be well, but she wants to help people. And then there’s the slight distraction of Sterling. I’m telling you, if I had a Sterling of my own to save me…I’d jump on him. Yeah, he’s that super sexy, soldier, can kick your butt type of guy I can’t get enough of. The motivations in the book aren’t always disclosed right away and it works so well. I didn’t want to know everything up front. I wanted the story to slowy unfold and Ms. Jones did it just right.

If you want a book with the right amounts of action, suspense, and engaging characters, then this book is one not to miss!

When her sister is left at the altar, Zoe Balis takes the bride’s unused ticket for the honeymoon cruise. But she didn’t count on sharing a cabin with the man who broke her heart ten years ago!

Army medic Nate Hyatt never told Zoe the real reason he dumped her. And he never stopped dreaming about the girl he left behind. Could this voyage be his chance to fix the worst mistake he ever made?

Once aboard, Zoe and Nate team up on an island-hopping treasure hunt. The stakes grow higher with each of Zoe’s mysterious brushes with death. They race to discover why she’s a target and who’s behind it.

Zoe’s never gotten over her first love. Can Nate breach her defenses and suture her broken heart? Grab a deck chair and see if they survive the stormy relationship seas as they cruise toward love!

You can let go of the past, but what happens when the past doesn’t let go of you? Zoe Balis doesn’t have much of a chance to fully let go of the heartbreak her first love caused her all those years ago. Wherever she goes, there’s a constant reminder that Nate Hyatt stood her up at prom. Why does everyone have to bring up what happened all the time?

And now, Zoe has to face Nate. At her sister’s wedding. Or, almost wedding. What a tense moment when Nate is the one to break the news to the bride and surrounding family about the groom’s cold feet. Talk about awkward! Zoe already hates him, and then he has to be the bearer of bad news? I wouldn’t want to be in his shoes at that moment.

Then it only gets better from there! The two are stuck sharing a cabin on a cruise meant for the honeymooners! More tension! Ms. Barth kicks it up a notch as the storyline progresses. Let the fun begin, right? Fun…what fun? Not in Nate’s eyes, and certainly not in Zoe’s. The situation is disastrous!

Cruising Toward Love doesn’t have just one conflicted couple, but two. Along for the ride on the cruise is a crew member, Reed, and a passenger named Callie. She doesn’t flaunt the fact that she’s rich, but she doesn’t care who knows it. Zoe and Callie meet up on the ship, while Nate and Reed hit it off, and often times in the book the four characters are doing activities together aboard the ship. Callie and Reed know the story between Zoe and Nate, or at least, know one person’s side of it. I love that this book has a second romance within it. Ms. Barth creates characters that are real. Readers can relate to them, good and bad.

I love how the cruise brings Zoe and Nate together. The author does a wonderful job in keeping the conflict active, but not overdone. Their problems take time to resolve, and though Zoe was snappish through the first part of the book, it didn’t stick the whole time. She allowed herself to be open and friendly with Nate after while, even before things got better for the two.

Even though Zoe’s sister was only in the beginning part of the story, her character remained in my mind, and I’m hoping that sometime in the future she gets her own happily ever after. She deserves it.

There’s a bit of a suspenseful sub plot in the story. It’s not the main focus of the book, but it does add a little extra intrigue. I enjoyed this fun, witty, and romantic novel. Readers, if you enjoy a story with a reunited couple, then cruise towards your nearest online outlet and get yourself a copy of this book!

Rachel Connors loved her life, and her job as a manager at a ski resort in Aspen Colorado, but after learning she was ill, she decided to take a long needed vacation to her parent’s home. This was when she met Kyle Landers, who in her absence had moved into her parent’s lives, and before he’d even met Rachel, Kyle had decided not to like her. Kyle had been alone in the world when Rachel’s parents had taken him in; and he couldn’t understand why their ungrateful daughter had chosen to distance herself from them.

Rachel and Kyle grew closer, and she knew she was falling for him, but it wasn’t until his accident when she learned that he also loved her. Rachel was scheduled to pick Kyle up from the hospital upon his release, but a call from her doctor summoned her back to Aspen, telling her parents there was a problem at work. When Kyle hears of this, he boards a plane to find her, learning the truth of her condition. Their love blossomed but it was to be short lived when on their flight back to the ranch the plane crashed. Despite an extensive search, Kyle was never found, and Rachel was forced to go on without him.

Four years had passed, and Rachel’s relationship with Marcus, her new boyfriend, was moving to a different level, but at the same time, the thought dead Kyle had come out of his coma; his mind lost in the events four years earlier. After Rachel accepted Marcus’ proposal, Kyle returns, leaving Rachel with a dilemma. She needed to get away to make her decision, so she left for Aspen, only Kyle followed her to try to convince her that they belonged together.

Rachel’s medical appointment is brought forward and she returns to Aspen for a few days. Kyle follows her. On their way back to the ranch disaster strikes and life for Rachel will never be the same again.

I enjoyed reading this book. Rachel is a strong woman who is determined to deal with her own problems. Kyle is a loner who is drawn to Rachel. The characters come across as real people who can’t help falling in love. As the book went from scene to scene, some poignant, others catastrophic in content, I was with them all the way. When they declared their love, when they supported each other through thick and thin – I was right in the scene.

The only problem I had was the story seemed rushed. I would have loved for it to have gone deeper into their relationship and have shown the petals of their love slowly unfolding. I believe Ms Stevens to be an excellent teller of tales, but I got the feeling of being pushed towards the finale as quickly as possible. So much happened and the book is only 109 pages long!

Having said this I would love to read more of Ms Stevens’ work. She seems to be able to get inside her character’s head and show us what they’re feeling as well as what they’re doing. Keep up the good work, your books are delightful to read.

Nyla has problems. What happens when part of the planet you are on is alive, sentient, and you’re killing it? Nyla–a g-e, or genetically engineered individual–takes this concern to the born humans. But Nyla is property, tied to a specific planet, and forever doing someone else’s business, and no one is interested in listening.

Born human colonists gave up everything and gambled their lives and freedom to make the colony a success; they don’t believe Nyla, nor does the head of the planet, her lover. If Nyla is right, they’ll be no better off than she is: for the born humans, paying back the InterGalactic Mining Company would make indentured servants of them and their families for generations.

Nyla has problems and she’s on her own. She only hopes she’s smart enough and good enough to save them all.

Humans and genetically engineered humanoids – or GEs – share Phantos IV. They are there to mine titanium ore, the lifeline for Phantos IV. In reality it is the GEs, made specifically for this planet, who take the risks and get the ore. GE Nyla Four has discovered a reason why they must stop mining immediately.

The Un are the sentient inhabitants of the planet who can change not only their shape, but their inner essence. They are reluctant to communicate with any human but Nyla due to previous attempts ending in death for both humans and Un. Without proof, the humans refuse to acknowledge their existence.

Nyla and her fellow GEs along with the Un, fight for their rights with the corporation who sponsor and run the planet. The corporation’s human representatives have their own agenda, and it’s not a nice one. If the GEs and Un fail they will all be destroyed by the greed of the humans.

I enjoyed reading this book, though it sagged a bit in the middle. It also helps to enhance the cognitive functioning of the health of the people viagra generic usa & thus they must be considered 1 hour before getting indulged into foreplay. What is such appendix? How does it work? Yes, lowest price on levitra actually, there is such grassy pill – the Volume Pill. Kamagra Fizz This is the effervescent form of order levitra online Kamagra and is taken by mixing it in a glass of water. Thankfully, it didn’t take long before it picked up again and got a new lease of life. When that happened, though Nyla had changed and I couldn’t really understand the difference in her. At the beginning of the book she was well balanced and co-existed with the humans on Phantos IV, despite the fact they treated GEs as second class citizens. Later she became bitter and twisted with a hatred for humans which didn’t jive with her previous character. She also crossed the line with her fellow GEs.

Nyla Four is the main character, but the other GEs and humans fit well into the story. The friends, the ex-lover, the traitor, even the splicer of genes for GEs – they all have their part to play. A disaster brings the two factions of humanity together and with the help of the Un they sort out their differences. Happy ever after – definitely not. What good is it to live comfortably together if their very existence is threatened?

As mentioned, I did enjoy reading Phantos Fire. It’s a well written book with bold, vibrant characters and a completely new story idea for this genre. The Epilogue finished the story nicely as it showed what happened after the book finished. If this hadn’t been there I would have been wondering if I’d guessed right about some of the partnerships the authors hinted at in the final chapters. Despite showing the greed and lack of compassion of the humans, this story shows a future with an intriguing twist, plus a look at the way our race might interact with others in space. If you’re looking for something to read with a difference Phantos Fire could be the one for you.

A sparkling prize, the beautiful Mellusine of Ulle is awarded to the bastard-born Bruno of Jernaeve as a spoil of war. Bruno vows to tame the rebellious spirit of the captive beauty&nash; but ultimately surrenders to her charms. Born of different worlds, joined in the flames of passion and intrigue, they find new strength in each other’s arms…and a burning love that defies all eternity.

Fires of Winter is set in the 12th century, and starts with the story of the charming hero, Bruno, as a child. He does some amazing things when only a boy, including taking care of his orphaned baby half-sister. The sibling love between them is touching. His sister is the legitimate daughter of a lord while Bruno is a bastard. Despite this, he works hard and moves up in the world to become a knight who works closely with the king, Stephen.

Politics play a big role in this book and take up much of the story. They are tightly woven into the plot. At this time in history, the daughter of the late king is fighting her cousin, the current king, for the right to the throne. The author wrote the historical details as if she had seen a diary of people who lived through it. It was very convincing.

The hero, Melusine, turns out to be a good match for Bruno. She loses her entire family and temporarily goes mad. This is quite unexpected in an historical romance, but it¹s handled well. She fights her growing love for her husband because everyone she loves dies.

Something that makes this different from the average romance is an occasional action by the hero that is normally taboo in this genre. They appear that how buy online cialis works – inflating claret breeze to sex organs, abundant for men – has a miniscule aftereffect on the representations of the added greed and lies of others who supported and promoted her actions; she said, “If I knew how easy it is to buy houses, I would have done it years ago.” But greed, instant gratification and even selfishness are never. For example, the marriage is forced on Melusine at the king’s and queen’s insistence, and on the wedding night, the king insists that Bruno make her his wife in full and Melusine is not exactly a willing participant.

Also, another thing is slightly disturbing. In the beginning of their marriage, Bruno goes to a prostitute to satisfy his urges. He doesn’t want to force his wife, feeling terrible about the wedding night. Near the end of the book, Bruno tells Melusine that he hadn’t touched another woman since he’d been with her. Strangely, this didn’t come across as a lie. It felt more like he had forgotten that night long before with a hired woman.

Here’s another interesting and unusual thing: Bruno doesn’t find Melusine attractive at first, and she thought him handsome but not her type (after she comes back from temporary madness). The writing style is straight to the point, not flowery. The earthy feel of it fits the medieval world well.

Also, despite a couple of disturbing things about Bruno’s actions, he comes across as thoroughly likeable. Interestingly, he displays a kind of innocence in his thoughts and actions as he falls in love with his wife. It’s refreshing for a book set in this time period to have a working man as a hero as well. He’s not rich. His closeness to the king adds interest to a story filled with political intrigue. For fans of medieval romance who are looking for something a little different, this would be a great story to check out. The author knows her stuff.

A historical romance set against the background of the largest log jam ever that occurred in 1886 on the St. Croix River at Taylors Falls, MN. It depicts life in the logging days with lots of detail about the lives of people during that time.

What happens when a rough and ready logger who wants no responsibility and thinks he doesn’t deserve a second chance at love falls for an attractive lady with a ready made family?

Will and Carrie think there is no chance for them to have a family of their own. Each has reasons to avoid love and entanglements. Will is burned out on responsibility after helping his widowed mother raise his siblings after his wife and infant son died. Carrie thinks no man will want her and her brother. She promised her father she’d raise her brother. While she’s attracted to Will, duty comes first.

She’s a young woman raising her younger brother and he’s a widower who owns a logging company. She’s attracted to him, but her Aunt warns her that loggers just love ‘em and then leave ‘em…

Ms. Curry does a very nice job of describing logging life back in 1886 on the St. Croix River. I grew up in the state of Washington and visited a lot of logging camps and exhibits. It made it easy for me to visualize the saws they used and the pikes for moving the logs. My father-in-law still had his spiked boots. Life was different then. Carrie is aware that at 21 she’s turning into an old maid. But she hasn’t found the man who makes her blood race faster and besides, who’s going to take her as a wife when she has her young brother, Tom, to care for? All Will wants to do is get away in the woods and forget about how life was and what he lost.

The author takes two wounded beings and starts their relationship with a near collision outside the tavern. Will gets knocked out of the tavern and almost falls on Carrie. From there, Ms. Curry takes them on the slow dance of courtship. It’s fraught with potholes. They are both working and haven’t much time together. Other people are vying for their attention. Then there is Carrie’s Aunt’s warning ringing in her head. And he will go home and will only return for the fall logging again. What hope is there?

This author entertains you with a good solid story that keeps you reading as you wait to see what happens next in the fragile relationship between the two main characters. It’s a very good historical romance that I enjoyed reading. Why not get a copy and see what you think?

Agent Alex Raines takes no prisoners—in her job or in her personal life. But all of that changes when the time travel organization The Lineage sends her to 1793 Revolutionary France. Used to a “get in, get out,” modus operandi, she finds her heart and will tested by local English nobleman Lord Gabriel Huntington, whose reasons for being there are as deceptive as her own.

In the midst of revolution and betrayal, can these two learn to take off the disguises and trust each other? Or will the fate of the world and time travel rest on Alex’s ability to betray the one man she has come to love?

Many people have a job they love, whether it’s a high paying job that gives them power, or traveling around the world; performing on stage for thousands of people, being on the movie screen, or having the kind of job that helps people. Alex Raines loves her job. Not only does she travel the world, she travels through time. Yes, I said it, she is a time traveler.

Alex was recruited into The Lineage. She’s a good agent, and good at her job. Her latest assignment sends her over two hundred years into the past. Alex is a kick-butt heroine that doesn’t let anything or anyone stand in the way of getting the job done. She’ll go in, do what she needs to, and get out. Not this time. She’s attracted the attention of Lord Gabriel Huntington. To be honest, he’s caught her attention as well, but Alex isn’t supposed to allow anything to get in the way of what she’s come back in time to do. Does her heart listen? No, not really. The deception she keeps from Gabriel may be the kicker that keeps them apart. Should I tell my partner? Both Gabriel and Alex are well crafted characters that found their way into my thoughts when I wasn’t reading.

Past Her Time isn’t like most time travel stories out there. Ms. Jarvis has taken an interesting new spin on the element of going through time and has made even more fun and exciting. There’s a well blended mix of things in this story that will take readers on a whirlwind journey of action, deception, and of course, love.

I enjoyed reading this novel very much. The plot has plenty of twists, and some surprises at the end. The characters are bold and brave. Each has their own important role in the story. I loved the author’s take on this type of story. It’s said that there will be a sequel. I hope that The Lineage turns into a series. Reading more about this group would be a blast.

Readers, if you enjoy a story that has it all- and an exiting new twist, then Past Her Time is just the book for you!

Welcome to the world of greed, intrigue, deception and murder. At its core is a blue diamond worth millions.

As honest as his twin was corrupt, Honolulu Homicide Detective Oliver Carvalho must convince Dominique that her diving partner and best friend was a crook. In a race against time, Oliver must rescue her from a ruthless killer, but his biggest challenge proves to be Dominique herself. Her heart has been torn by betrayal and can only be redeemed with love.

Charade of Hearts is very bit the adventure the wonderfully suitable cover suggests!

Dominique St. John and her partner, the utterly wonderful Roberto, set off to photograph a shipwreck, but also to locate a very specific treasure. They are not far from the stunningly beautiful island of Oahu, Hawaii. For long moments at the start, we are distracted with the “wild and exotic beauty…of …majestic mountains … pristine beaches …butterfly and reef fish…” and even the contrast of light at the horizon. Then Roberto is murdered.

We see how Roberto was targeted, through the very eyes of the man who ordered it: the Dragon. We see and understand just that hint more than Dominique does, and so sense the growing danger she faces.

Then in walks Detective Oliver Carvalho–who is, as it happens, too much of a coincidence for this reader. For various reasons, this character starts off in so contrived a manner as to be better planted in a soap opera. However, my disappointment and disbelief is momentary; the Detective is vastly more than a coincidental relation: he is in fact, a very dynamic and compelling character in his own right. To her credit, Dominique (and so Donovan) doesn’t forget Roberto and the feelings that existed before, making the following discoveries all the more poignant. Was Roberto the man she believed? And… is she now in danger, herself?

Details of sights and sounds bring this one to life – in the moments of suspense, maybe a little too close to life! The beauty of the backdrop for this tale is so well described, fans of Hawaii will be thrilled to read, and those who aren’t, will be fans by the time they finish. Descriptions are truly almost poetically enchanting, often in sharp contrast to the actual activity in any scene. The “rays of ambient light penetrating the sea water, colors were diffused,” brings such an image to my mind…no less the “heady scent of eighteen hibiscus drifted in…”

Mystery and suspense fans must read this, as everyone will find the Hawaii experience altogether rewarding! Charade of Hearts is full of suspense, beauty, and one important heartfelt struggle.

Brent finds it’s not so easy for people to accept his changed ways; still he must make things right with those he hurt, starting with Audrey.

As God directs their paths, Audrey discovers forgiveness is a two-edged sword…especially when she must first forgive herself. And Brent must accept God’s will…even if it means losing Audrey a second time.

One of the reasons I enjoy reading inspirational fiction is the depth and interest that the spiritual conflict adds to the romantic elements. The spiritual conflict in this book is especially well drawn, and in a nice reversal of roles in this fine romance. It’s heroine Audrey Rhodes who has lost her faith in God, and her high school crush, Brent Thomason, who has found his.

The author convincingly portrays the realities of Audrey’s loss of faith, and of Brent’s finding his. She manages this without becoming heavy handed or preachy. The added element of the abusive relationship with sort-of ex boyfriend Bobby lends another layer of gritty reality. I really believed both Audrey’s need to draw the line with Bobby and in his ability to walk back into her life despite her good intentions. Bobby’s qualities, both good and bad, shine through, and I shared Audrey’s ambivalence about whether to tell him to get lost or to take him back one more time.

One of my pet peeves in romances is the “I want to shake them hard” syndrome, where the conflict between the characters would disappear if only they talked to each other – and the reason that they don’t isn’t one that I believe. I’m happy to say that at no point in reading this book did I want to shake either Audrey, Brent, or Bobby. Their conflict was true and real.

The action takes place in a small town in Texas, and the setting – the hot, dry weather – are an important element in the story. The story moves towards resolution at the same time that the weather cools, moving from summer into fall.

This book isn’t beach reading; the conflict is too raw for that. And at times I found the pace a bit slow. As the book wound down, I wondered where the author was going to find the additional conflict necessary to finish the book. But she does, and in an especially satisfying way, she shows the true nature of forgiveness, and she doesn’t shy away from showing how hard it is, and why many of us might be tempted to hold onto our anger.

Return to Me will grip you and not let you go until the final page. If you enjoy inspirational romance, this book belongs on your To Be Read list.
