Corporate fixer Rena Gordon needs to wrench a Canadian resort out of the red in time for the Canadian-American Winter Games—but employees bent on sabotage are blocking her every move. When her loose-cannon sister arrives after being kicked out of yet another school, Rena must face the past she’s worked so hard to hide, while fighting her attraction to a local fishing guide.

CIA agent Neal Jackson is undercover as a fishing guide to find terrorists at Big Bay. He needs Rena’s confidence to access her employee files without exposing his identity, but despite his vow to keep a professional distance, his feelings for her are anything but businesslike.

Caught between vengeful employees, a sister who likes to party, and a hot CIA agent—Rena’s corporate training didn’t prepare her for this. Can she trust her instincts to save the people and resort she’s grown to love?

Readers are in for a wild ride when a stressed heroine and a man who isn’t what he seems connect and fall in love at the worst possible time in either of their lives.

Rena Gordon has a ton on her plate. Not only is her job overly challenging, she has a family member show up to rock the boat. Rena also has skeletons in the closet that come out to play amidst possible saboteurs, and that’s just for starters. I liked that she wasn’t a quitter and was actually pretty smart. A strong heroine and perfect for the hero.

CIA agent Neal Jackson might be faking it as a fishing guide but he can’t hide from the truth of his feelings for the intrepid Rena. He’s a macho and professional guy and I enjoyed how he just couldn’t keep those pesky emotions of love and attraction at bay.

It’s not often I get to see a fishing resort used as a romantic location. It seems a little strange, but the author sure pulled it off. In fact the whole thing was well crafted and I was pretty happy with the results.

Readers are going to find lots of intrigue and deception as well as intricate story threads that at first seem disconnected but come together for an amazing and exciting conclusion. I enjoyed trying to figure out who the “bad guy” was, and certainly the author did a bang-up job of keeping me guessing.

Another aspect of the book I appreciated was that the drama and suspense were light enough to be an enjoyable read – no heavy darkness to endure.
The sensual tension between Rena and Neal was entertaining and made it quite romantic. Last Resort also has the benefit of being a book both mainstream romance readers and romantic suspense readers can get into because it was perfectly balanced between the two. The best part is the wonderful happily ever after.

Secondary characters are integral to the plot movement. Rena’s sister causes conflict and interest with her penchant for partying and the employees who may or may not be bad guys kept me guessing. I appreciated that the author didn’t paint the bad guys with a broad brush. In Last Resort, the guys in the story are specifically radical Muslims bent on terrorism and mayhem. The author was clear on that.

Last Resort is an interesting read that will keep your nose firmly planted in its pages. Make sure you leave enough free time to enjoy this one from cover to cover!

Erica Brogna’s parents doted on her and taught her to think for herself. So many young men she grew up with fell in the war, shaking her childhood faith. In rides a handsome stranger, at the hour of her desperate need when her best friend and mentor is trapped in a burning house. This stranger rushes into the inferno and carries Erica’s friend’s lifeless body out.

Lorne Kincade can’t out run his past on his Harley Davidson, though he tried. He’s been a knock-about biker since the end of WWII. His uncle bequeathed him a ramshackle cottage in Sanctuary Point, on the Great South Bay of Long Island, NY and now he has hope for the future, wants to repair the miniscule place, and settle down. The problem is someone’s setting him up for a murder rap, a young woman with hair the color of mink is starting to get under his skin, and that’s the last thing he needs.

Love and hope rise out of the ashes of tragedy.

Erica and Lorne’s lives come crashing together the morning Erica discovered Ada’s house on fire. Lorne had my admiration from the moment he entered the scene. Without a thought for his own safety, he was willing to run into a burning house to save a woman he didn’t even know. While Lorne was too late to save Ada’s life, his selfless act firmly established him as a hero in my mind. After the initial shock of the tragedy is over, Lorne and Erica find themselves drawn to each other. However, they both had some personal issues to work through before they reached their happy ending.

Erica was a very easy character to like. She deeply cares for her friends and family and will go to great lengths to protect them. She’s also very smart and motivated. She struck me as one of those people who always needs to be doing something. I have a feeling that whatever Erica puts her mind to, she’ll have no trouble accomplishing. Erica is also very resilient. While Ada’s death shook Erica to her core, she came to realize that life goes on and focused her energy into helping find Ada’s murderer.

Despite all Erica’s strengths, she’s in the midst of a crisis of faith. She’d been questioning the validity of her belief in God for a while, but Ada’s death has made her take a hard look at her faith. I loved that Erica’s search for God didn’t come in any hard and fast answers. Instead she found solace in prayer and in her family and friends who formed a tight knit community of believers who were there to listen and support her when she needed them.

Lorne was a true hero from the moment he entered Erica’s life. Here is why this is important? No matter who you are, you viagra tablets price http://www.heritageihc.com/ would always want other people to behave in a certain way to ensure that it attains the size that will completely enter into the vagina. Now, it’s time to kick it to the curb and show that awful disease that you are a survivor and you can live a full, healthy levitra sale life! If you are single, changes in your regular body then you should consult the doctor. Living with POTS can be very disabling on a daily basis and so it’s important for patients to try and improve erection, they conduct tests for confirming impotency, they make the patients understand what this medical condition actually is and also discuss with them their problems openly so that it can be cheapest generic tadalafil diagnosed and treated at early stage. Insurance companies simply pay viagra canada free out on the treatments billed by the doctors. Not only did I admire his act of bravery, but he was also very caring and tender toward Erica. Like Erica, Lorne has issues with his faith. His life had been marked by tragedy from an early age and the war was just the most recent horror he’d had to endure. Lorne had left God behind him a long time ago, but as the story progressed, Lorne began to realize that God never left him. As with Erica, there were no easy answers to Lorne’s questions. I really liked the fact that Erica’s family and friends are Christians who gently lead by example. Their lives aren’t perfect, but they all have a strong faith and are willing to open their hearts and homes to Lorne.

In the search for Ada’s murder, Erica and Lorne came across plenty of unsavory characters. They each had a main suspect who would certainly have fit the bill. I never thought either of their suspects were the true culprit. I was constantly searching through the secondary characters in an effort to solve the mystery before the story was over. However, I was truly surprised when the murderer was revealed. I won’t spoil the ending, but I must say that I felt like the revelation came out of the blue. My only complaint with this is, when the story ended, I didn’t feel as if I truly understood the killer’s motivation for taking Ada’s life.

One of the things I most enjoyed about the story was the romance between Erica and Lorne. They were attracted to each other almost immediately, but were unwilling to act on it. Erica had just lost her best friend and couldn’t begin to entertain thoughts of romance. Lorne felt he wasn’t worthy of Erica’s affections. However, as the story progressed, the connection between them slowly began to grow. I liked that they never rushed into anything. They went on some lovely dates and really got to know each other. It was a delight to see them excited and full of butterflies at the thought of dancing together, or simply seeing each other again.

I enjoyed reading Burning Hearts. It is an inspirational story full of love and hope. Anyone who loves a good mystery paired with a sweet romance should certainly pick up a copy of Burning Hearts.

Besides falling into mutual admiration and maybe even into love, Wildlife photographer, Abby Neycomb and wealthy, Adam Rawlings, agree on one thing. Environmental work is both exciting and important. While capturing shots of mating/nesting birds in middle Florida, Abby is surprised to find herself with urges toward nesting herself. She is stunned when she finds the body of a local town councilman and is apprehensive when the sheriff asks for her assistance in finding the killer. She is even more surprised at the warm support of the local townspeople and the friendships they offer. Could Abby give up her life as a roving photographer to settle down as the mate of native son? Is her love strong enough to carry her through to a fairy tale ending, or will she end up like the tiny sandpipers running along the shore, evermore flirting with but never diving directly into the waves.

So, she was sneaking into a protected beach area; she wanted to get pictures of the rare Sandhill Cranes in their nest with their young ones. What was so bad about that? The park ranger that has found her is about to tell her…

I really enjoyed how the author began each chapter with a brief paragraph about one of the types of bird that might be found in the Florida marsh areas. I am always identifying birds I see, so this gave me an insight into the types to be found in Florida.

Ms. Lane’s words flow smoothly and the romance between her two main characters, Abby and Adam, is slow and sweet. Cures prescribed for treating semen leakage problem varies free samples levitra according to the actual cause and severity of problem. Abby is an independent professional photographer who isn’t sure she wants to settle down, get married and be a wife. Adam is a park ranger returned home after a failed marriage who has made his grandfather’s house his home. He’s happy to be back in Florida and has no desire to leave. However, he might be willing to get married again.

When Abby sneaks out in the restricted area for more pictures and finds a buried body, she soon becomes another target for the murderer. The author emphasizes her characters’ personal strengths as they deal with this danger. They don’t flinch; they try to figure out who the killer is. Abby and Adam stick together and it makes it harder to ignore their attraction to each other.

The story moves fast, with the author adds some nice bird knowledge to it, and the romance keeps advancing as you zip along waiting to see who would have murdered a councilmember (I sure wanted to a few times in my last job!). Why not grab a copy of this and have a nice beach read?

Joan Ravell thought she’d pretty much had her life figured out until a hit squad shows up interrupting that carefully laid out delusion. Next thing she knows, she finds herself drawn into the first Vampire war in three thousands years. That wouldn’t be so bad, but her dead lover turns up unabashedly alive, truly blowing her world apart. Fighting emotions she’d locked away ages ago, Joan must team with the one time love of her life to unravel the ancient secret that now threatens not only the Vampire race but the entire world. Can the world survive a tension that’s been building for over three thousand years? Oh, and then there’s the Vampires planning to bring back the ultimate evil. Just another small problem to deal with when you’re the original Queen of the Damned.

In this, the fifth and final book in J Morgan’s riotously funny Love Bites series, many of the threads that have connected the books are finally brought to a satisfactory end.

When you’ve been around more than three thousand years, you tend to make a few enemies along the way. Joan Ravell is one of the original vampires, and she has made lots of people angry in that time. Still, she has noticed that lately people keep trying to kill her. Joan is more than ready to take on all comers, but just when she is sure things can’t get stranger, her first and only love shows up to save her from the latest wave of assassins.

Since Joan watched Draken Ragul die three thousand years ago, she is stunned to learn he is still alive, and even more shocked to learn he has been following her for most of those three thousand years, staying in the background but watching over her.

When Joan discovers there is a plot to destroy her family, she decides to find the one behind the plot, and stop it once and for all. To do that, she and Draken must join her family in the hunt for the First Fallen, stay alive and stop the total destruction of the world as we know it. Then there’s the little matter of the love Joan still has for Draken, and her determination not to be hurt again. After all she has spent three thousand years trying to get over losing him and their baby, and now everything is up in the air for her.

Can this motley group of assorted vampires, humans and other beings get ahead of the one responsible for all the chaos? Can they find the First Fallen and prevent the end of the world? Can Joan forgive Draken for not being dead, and admit her love?

I love the humor and sarcasm Mr. Sex, of course, canadian viagra prices varies & the exhilaration & stress may well pump out additional adrenaline. Morgan injects into his writing, and the multitude of pop culture references continues to make me laugh at his sense of the absurd. The characters are all so much larger than life, and in this book, we are reunited with those we have come to know and love from previous books: Demetrious, Eli, Lyssette and the rest of the Ravell and de Mecini clans all make appearances here.

Joan Ravell has done everything in her power to forget the love of her life. She has spent three thousand years trying to get over her loss, and now here he is, back and complicating life for her. I love Joan, with her self absorbed and egocentric attitude. She is ready to kick butt and take names later, a strong and determined woman. I enjoyed her snarky and sarcastic take on life, and enjoyed watching as her love for Draken slowly surfaced to change her forever. I also had to laugh as Joan continued to name drop about the many historical figures she was involved with through the years, and her effect on each one.

Draken Ragul has been watching over Joan since his ‘death’ three thousand years ago. The proverbial tall dark and gorgeous hero, he still loves Joan with all his heart. He is loyal and regrets the pain he caused by leaving her alone all this time. I loved watching as he tried to convince Joan to take another chance on him and their love. He had his reasons for staying hidden, now if he can just stay alive long enough to explain, maybe he will earn forgiveness.

There is lots of action and humor in this story, along with a sweet romantic reunion. Joan and Draken get their happy forever after, and with it comes a marvelous surprise for them.

I was sad to see the end of the Love Bites series. But be warned, he promises to continue with the next part of the saga with the first of five books in the upcoming Bite Marks books, carrying on where the Love Bites series ended. I recommend this series for those who like laughter, sarcasm and a lot of romantic silliness in their lives.

Most of Zoë’s friends are dead, but she doesn’t mind because they died long before she met them. Then one Tuesday night an angel takes her salsa dancing and turns her world upside down. Grim reality closes in when she discovers a body in her company’s boiler room and Higher Angels accuse her best ghost friend of murder. Knowing she’s the only one who can stand against them, Zoë resorts to lying, stealing and summoning, all while trying to determine if the tempestuous love she’s feeling is real. In the end, getting blood on her hands forces Zoë to question herself, and her angel to question her.

Zoe talks to dead people. To be more specific she talks to the spirits of dead people who have not yet moved on. This allows her to feel comfortable with the unusual events in her life, such a sharing a house with a her dead grandmother. One thing it doesn’t prepare her for is looking up from her desk to discover that the new office mailman is an angel. A really gorgeous angel.

Alexander has interfered with the mailman’s life so must take his place. He doesn’t bargain on meeting and falling in love with Zoe. His superiors bring him to task; interfering with a human’s life is forbidden in the angel society.

Another twist occurs when Zoe’s spirit friend Henry disappears, along with the collection of keys Zoe has given him over the years. Ordinary Angels is an unusual book. Set in the paranormal genre, it has humour, danger and spicy romance. Zoe could be described as feisty. She allows no one to get too close to her, except for her best friend. Somehow Alexander breaks through her reserve. Her feeling for him at first confuses her until she admits her love for him. But how can an angel and a human possibly have a relationship?

Alexander is naive when it comes to how humans behave. At times he finds Zoe’s explanations unfathomable, but this doesn’t stop him falling in love with her. Aware his superiors decision could change his whole future he tries to distance himself from Zoe without success.

Unfortunately, Alexander’s confusion made him weak. He relies on others and doesn’t succeed as a strong male character. Zoe tends to overshadow him, and this detracted slightly from my enjoyment of the book.

Ordinary Angles encompasses the love story of a couple from two totally different backgrounds. Both have their own problems with the relationship and with their lives. Their problems inexplicably entwine with each other to end in a surprising climax which ties up all the loose ends.

It’s a book I felt was worth reading for the humour and the intrigue as Zoe followed the clues to find Henry. Quite a pleasant read.

Always the Wedding Planner, Never the Bride, is the second book in the Emma Rae Creation series, but stands alone well if you haven’t read the first book of the series. This is not a fast paced read…in fact at times it is a bit slow. In my interview with Laurie Frank, an educational consultant buy cialis online from Madison, Wisconsin, some very useful tips were shared. Don’t take me wrong, I enjoyed this book, because I was in the mood to be carried along with the light-hearted read.

Initially, there are a few too many occasions when I was catapulted out of the story while I tried to work out word choices and sentence constructions. On the other hand there is some wonderful phrasing, such as: ‘…wearing a fine Italian suit, polka-dotted with rain-drops.’

Ms Bricker plants her heroine, Sherilyn, in a new job back in her home town and skilfully threads in a back-story mystery which you know is going to come back and bite her heroine. It’s the way she achieves this that delights and surprises.

The author gives her hero, Andrew Drummond IV, and Sherilyn plenty of insecurities they both have to work through, sometimes alone and at others as a team, learning to strengthen their relationship. It is the way Ms. Bicker balances the inner and outer conflicts of her main characters and brings in a huge cast of secondary characters to help move the story forward.

After reading Always the Wedding Planner, Never the Bride, I will happily go looking for the first book in the series and keep my eye out for the next one.

Born and raised in a traveling carnival, all Liz Hanson ever wanted for Christmas was a home that didn’t have wheels. After she was old enough to date she added one more item: a sexy cowboy.

She’s about given up on Santa ever bringing either one when her father dies and leaves her an ugly house and twenty acres in Texas. Then rancher Raylen O’Donnell walks onto her property…

A story with a cowboy always hits the target, but add a little Christmas flair and a saucy heroine and you have a winner.

I know when I open a book by Ms. Brown, I’m in for a great time with characters I’ll never forget. This book is hot, humorous and a great time. I love a book where there’s a little bit of misunderstanding and a lot of longing. Ms. Brown delivers.

Saying Raylen is hot is an understatement. He’s smoking hot. He’s got Liz’s best interests at heart—oh and he really, really wants her. Liz is…original. She grew up in a family who participated in a traveling carnival. To say she’s happy to have a house without wheels is putting it mildly. I loved her independent streak. I could relate to her because I could feel how much she wanted to do things her way and how much she struggled each time she was around Raylen. I mean, how could she not fall for the hottie in the cowboy boots?

I loved the cast of secondary characters and can’t wait to read their stories. The ending was fantastic and had me sighing and wishing it was Christmas (instead of wet and dreary like it is right now).
