Sunset Carson is a gun-totin’, fire and brimstone preacher who carries a Bible in one hand and a load of miracles in the other. He’s not the usual mild-mannered reverend. He’s a double-fisted shooter who stands tall in the pulpit. But, later, when no one is watching, this man of God surrenders to a dark and dreadful sin. A sin that surfaces in the shadows behind his tent.

When his wife is killed, the preacher goes looking for the face that is burned into his memory. One night, while in a saloon drinking, he finds himself face-to-face with a cowboy who makes him burn with lust. An invitation into the man’s bed leads to an affair, but the familiarity of this man’s face haunts him. Where has he seen it before? Was it behind his tent one dark and sinful night, or was it behind a smoking gun?

Take a preacher who has lost his faith, dealing with his homosexuality, and have him falling in love with a man not cut from the same holy cloth as he, and you get an erotic tale of love and self discovery that will leave your mouth watering.

Sunset Carson is unlike any preacher I have ever read about. Quick tempered, gun carrying, and deeply conflicted. This man’s internal struggles are just jaw-dropping. Being a gay man is hard in any day and in age, but on the dangerous Texas frontier even more so. Hats off to this author for putting together such an amazing read. Weaving together religion and homosexuality can be very taboo, but in this case it’s eye opening. A good lesson in acceptance and forgiveness. Pairing a man of God up with a man with no religious beliefs is the perfect conflict. Add to it the lies and deceit from Sunset’s lover Vince and you got yourself a story you can’t put down for one moment. Vince Michaels is an extremely selfish man. When he wants something or someone, he will do whatever he has to get it. He’s a character you want to hate but the author wrote him so well you keep your fingers crossed that he’ll get Sunset in the end. Vince is a complete bad boy that discovers some things about himself through the help of a good preacher.

This story is filled with extremely erotic love scenes. There are plenty of bed partners going around in this story. It’s almost completely unbelievable at first to think this preacher would be partaking in all these sexual acts, with three different partners, but it makes him a more believable character. We’re all human and when love’s involved it overrides better judgment.

I have to say this book was a complete surprise. A preacher having a love affair with a criminal is intriguing. Kelly Conrad brought together two polar opposites that will have you rooting for them in the end. Rogue Preacher is a must add to your reading list.

When Jenny Miller’s widowed mother becomes engaged to the father of Jenny’s ex-lover, Jenny is torn. She knows a renewal of her affair with Robert, her soon-to-be stepbrother, could jeopardize her mother’s marriage. But Robert was the sexiest, most commanding lover Jenny has had, and though he has a reputation as a heartbreaker, she yearns to get him back in bed.

When Robert plays the role of Pirate Blackwell in a video production, and Jenny plays the pirate’s wife, Robert’s passionate on-camera kiss sends Jenny’s libido into overdrive. Jenny is a dedicated lawyer who has prided herself on her self-control. But resisting the irresistible Robert? That’s a whole other case.

Jenny and Robert had had a brief fling in their past. The hottest, most incredible sex of Jenny’s life. She couldn’t stop thinking about it even nine months later. But now that Robert was about to become Jenny’s step-brother, she fought to find a way to curb her desire for the gorgeously masculine man. For one thing, Robert was not the settle down and commit kind of man. It would be emotionally dangerous to lose her heart to him. Also, her family had no idea of their earlier relationship and Jenny wanted it to stay that way, not knowing how it would be received.

Jenny, a practicing lawyer, is basically a conservative person. She has never had any success in choosing a man because she has always worked from an ideal of attributes that she believed would make a good husband. Ideals that she compiled using only the analytical side of her brain. But Jenny is not emotionally one-dimensional. She has a passionate, spontaneous side to her as well. Later, Jenny learns that Robert is in town and will be in the film as well. It’s all Jenny can do to keep her composure during the making of the film. Especially when Robert ad-libs a hot kiss into the scene between them!

The author does a beautiful job in fleshing out this very romantic and sensitive tale with her colorful and engaging words. The characters are well developed and I found them believable and interesting. I enjoyed the way she allowed the story to come to life by repeatedly flashing back to the earlier affair between Jenny and Robert from Jenny’s point of view. She did this smoothly, with vivid emotional detail that imparted insight and clarity into the characterization and the relationship of the couple.

The sex scenes were powerful, scorching hot and worked fluently into the story with dynamic finesse. Best of all, she fully ended the story in a touching way that didn’t leave you dangling or feeling like there was something missing. I found this to be a beautiful, absorbing romance rich with depth and imagery by a writer with the talent to deliver a high-quality product. Quite a neat feat considering the length of the story. My eyes misted, I chuckled, cringed and truly empathized with these characters. I highly recommend this delightful read.

To forgive is divine…if he can pin his lover down long enough to beg for it.

Poconos Pack, Book 1

Ben Malone’s role as Marshall attunes him to every nuance of the pack’s wellbeing—which means he’s forced to feel every one of his mate’s hangovers. It’s the one reason Ben will never claim Dave Maldonado. Being alone is better than being with someone who lives in a bottle.

Dave was destined to be a pack Alpha until his first migraine hit at age fifteen, the day he caught his future mate holding hands with another boy. In the nine agonizing years since, he’s contented himself as Beta, but never learned to live with the pain and confusion of Ben’s rejection.

Dave’s worst attack yet sends him to the hospital—and brings them both face to face with the misunderstanding that’s kept them apart all these years. It’s too late, though. Dave is headed for Gay Pride Week at Disney World with one goal in mind. Forget Ben Malone.

Ben’s got a problem with that. Only one man is destined to hold his David. And he’ll give anything, even his last shred of pride, to win forgiveness—and the right to finally claim his mate.

Dana Marie Bell has written a touching romance of misgivings and mistakes, and new starts.

Ben Malone has known since he was fifteen that David Maldonado is his mate. But he refuses to claim him, because he is determined not to become involved with an alcoholic like his father. Ben suffered too much from his father’s drunken rages, and will never go through that again, even for his mate.

For David’s part, he doesn’t understand Ben’s attitude. He also realized long ago that Ben was his mate, and has been hurt by Ben’s attitude. After the most recent migraine attack, one that leaves David unconscious and hospitalized, he decides to go away and try to forget his mate once and for all. Better to not have a mate and be lonely, than to endure Ben’s scorn and derision every day.

When the pack alpha sits Ben down and lays the whole situation in front of him, Ben learns that drinking is not the cause of David’s pain, and what Ben thought were hangovers, were in fact severe and debilitating migraines. Now that he knows, Ben is determined that no one but him will ever claim his mate, and he realizes he has some serious groveling ahead to win the forgiveness of the only person he has ever needed. This is the first of her Poconos Pack stories, but it fits together beautifully with her Halle Puma series, focusing this time on the wolves of Rick’s pack. I like that so many of the ‘old friends’ from the Halle Puma series are here, and to be honest, I have been waiting for Ben and Dave’s story for a long time. This one was worth the wait. This is filled with romance and of course, Ms. Bell’s marvelous sense of humor is ever present, making this one a joy to read.

David Maldonado is the pack beta to Rick’s alpha. He is big, strong and gorgeous; a gentle giant of a man. He is confused by Ben’s attitude, and decides to give up his dream of being claimed by his mate. He suffers through his headaches without complaint, and I could feel his pain, physical and emotional, throughout this story. I enjoyed the lengths he went to, once he had Ben where he wanted him, and the things he had Ben do to gain forgiveness were, at times, hilarious.

Ben Malone is pack Marshall, and he believes he’s doing the right thing for himself by not claiming his mate. Ben is strong and yet there is a vulnerable part of him, the part his father put there so long ago. When he sees what he believes are the signs of the sickness of alcoholism that gripped his father, in his mate, he refuses to be hurt again. When he realizes his mistake, he is miserable. I loved watching him ‘grovel’ to get his mate to his side, and laughed along the way with what he was willing to do.

This is a touching love story about two people and how misunderstanding and secrets can come between them. David and Ben needed to open up and just talk, and much of their heartache would never have happened. I loved some of the secondary characters that were new to this story, and I would love to see more of both Steve and Charlie in future books from Ms. Bell. I enjoyed the experience of this story, and was delighted with the happy ever after for these two.

Living in a world where men were treated like a rare commodity, Ethan Spears did what he could in order to survive. But when the proverbial rug was pulled out from under him, desperate measures called for desperate actions. To save his sister, he entered The Lottery, offering himself to one woman for a year.

Karlyn Bowman was a rebel in her family, choosing not to climb the corporate ladder in order to pursue her love of art. Lonely, ostracized by the family who should have loved her, she pushed forward trying to become a success. When her friend gives her a lottery ticket to cheer her up, she puts it aside and forgets it. Imagine her surprise when the knock came to her door and her life—and his—were changed forever.

“For every one male, there are thirty plus females on this planet. Men are chattel, plain and simple”, used to serve women. When Karlyn Bowman took a lottery ticket for her birthday, which was against the law, to please a friend she did not think she would “win one calendar year with a hot, sexy, man toy.”

I will admit I was not sure if this was a story for me with an orgy and the whole male sex slave thing in the first chapter. However, I had to give the book a chance by reading a few more chapters to see if it picked up and if there was some kind of unique plot in the works. Wow! Let me tell you I am so glad that I did. If I had not kept going, I would have missed reading a beautiful written, very emotional tale with a delicious and entertaining story line. canadian cialis You can buy Kamagra 100mg online for a quick solution. The hero, Ethan Spears, will pull you in to the story because of how he is treated and what he has lived with being born male. His life has been a whole degrading sex slave, “you are my property” from an evil witch.

You will love Karlyn who is a struggling artist trying to make a living and the last thing she needs is a boy toy. You can’t help but laugh as they banter back and forth or be enchanted with the secondary characters who add spice and a lot of layers to the plot. Ethan’s sister and grandmother, as well as Karlyn best friend and her own mother will keep you on your toes and eager to see how the story will end.

Ms. O’Hurley has been added to my list of favorite authors after reading The Lottery and I will be looking for more of her books from here on out. The sex scenes are great but the story line is just amazing and well worth reading. Don’t let this one pass you by because believe me it is definitely a first-class read. I am so glad that I didn’t stop after the first chapter because it would have been my loss and I would have missed out on a literary tour de force.

I want no part of messy emotions, of lust and surrender. But none of that seems to matter to Christos Constantine. No matter how much I resist, no matter how much I fight, he keeps coming after me…and I am powerless.

Juliet Russo’s pride and strength of will have always kept her safe. The armor she has built around herself is impenetrable and no one is allowed to see beneath. She has managed to keep Christos and the attraction that simmers between them at bay for two years, but he’s done taking no for an answer.

Pride and Surrender is a novella that packs all the sensual heat and emotion of a much longer work. Juliet is a strong-minded, intelligent heroine with a weakness that makes her easy to empathize with. She struggles with a tragic fear of her own emotions and a distrust that a man strong and alpha enough to excite her will really want her over other women who display more stereotypical warm, outgoing feminine personality traits. She has been used to hiding this aspect of herself and focusing on her professional life. She keeps her softer, more sensual side hidden. She goes through the motions, dating men who are safe but do not excite her. It is easy to root for her, to hope that she will find the emotional courage to overcome her fears and make the leap to trust the hero. It would have been interesting to go into why Juliet is this way but we are told that she just has always been this way and does not really know why.

Christos is handsome and alpha and sexy. He also possesses the understanding to see the real Julia behind the “ice-queen” mask she shows the world. He is assertive in his approach, patiently weakening Julia’s resistance. In the past, he fought his attraction to her, but he’s worked through all that and now is determined to win this woman who is more than his match. I liked this aspect of the hero being ready and open for love. Devlin does a good job of giving him a backstory that makes it believable that he has all of these emotional resources in the story. He knows how to be strong and yet tender too. Yet he’s all alpha.

There’s a rich sensual, visual evocative aspect to this erotic romance that sets it apart. Devlin is often economical with scenery descriptions, preferring to keep the focus tight on the internal emotional aspect of the characters and the interpersonal conflict between the hero and heroine. But when she does focus on external images, they are always powerful ones that are directly vital to the story. I loved the descriptions of the heroine’s bedroom and her photography. I really believe this story would not have been as powerful written in any other POV but first and I think it was the best decision to write it that way.

There were no external antagonists in this story, except for the phantoms of doubt and distrust in the heroine’s mind. The conflict was limited to the Hero and Heroine and their internal struggles. I believe this made the story more powerful, more emotionally intense with the focus strongly on the heroine coming to terms with her lack of comfort with her own emotional nature and her innate doubts about men whom she truly finds desirable.

The pace of the romance was just fast enough to give it an edge. The couple had known each other for two years so they already have an emotionally rich history and deep, ongoing sexual tension. The heroine resisted the hero just enough without it becoming tedious or repetitive. And I really enjoyed the feeling underlying emotional danger and passionate warring between them as he rather forcefully courts her. And courts her he does. He is very sensitive to her needs, very nurturing of her emotions and her physical well being while never losing his alpha edge. This is not an easy thing to accomplish but Devlin does so beautifully here.

It is a very sensual, spicy story. Devlin really makes the most of the sexual scenes, keeping the threads of emotion and the moment-to-moment sensual experience of the characters at the forefront. Aspects of bondage and submission are brought in a way that emphasizes the trust and sharing. Very refreshing in a contemporary erotica. There’s no sense of humiliation or masochism or outrageous kink here. Just pure trust given as a gift in a way that is all the more sexy because it’s pure focus.

Yes, there could have been a little more view into what made Juliet so distrusting of men and uncomfortable with emotion but when a story sweeps you into such a evocative emotional landscape and allows you such immediate, intimate connection to the character and her experience, one cannot nitpick for long. One can only experience and enjoy. If you love strong, alpha heroes with a tender side and empathize with strong-minded heroines, do yourself a favor and indulge in the chocolate liquor-like richness of this not-to-be-missed erotic romance.

Anxious to prove himself, a slightly inebriated Toby Heaton decides on a reckless plan. Walking into Mausoleum — a bar known to be owned and operated by vampires — he offers his virgin throat to the biggest baddest blood sucker in the place…

Too bad his offer falls flat. At Mausoleum, a human freely supplying blood is a nightly occurrence. Still, all is not lost. Taken under handsome bartender De’s wing, Toby is about to embark on a surreal journey — one filled with pleasure and pain. A journey fueled by blood, in which he will learn his true worth.

A man walks into a bar, and his life is never the same again. They say you’ shouldn’t judge a book by its cover and I suppose the same holds true for its title, but when I saw this title my brain went “OH! Fun new big word!” I am very happy to report that besides having a truly awesome title, the book is amazing as well. When I finished it I was hard pressed to come up with anything other than “WOW!” and… when does the next story come out?

Toby Heaton walks into Mausoleum, a well known vampire bar, armed with nothing but the self amusing ramble of a man that has had a little to much to drink. His intent was to prove his bravery by getting a vampire to bite him, what he got was so much more. De was working the bar when Toby walked in, but he’s much more than a simple bartender, or Toby’s introduction to vampires, he is the head of the vampire clan and the owner of the bar.

Kate Steele has breathed new life into the vampire genre combining the best of the old with the best of the new. The fact that the world knows about vampires, and they mostly abide by the societal rules that they don’t bite unless invited, doesn’t make them any less predatory or dangerous. Vampires can, with one bite, still give either excruciating pain or wild pleasure, they can kill you in a room full of people without anyone seeing, they can have you writhing with exquisite pleasure or complete agony with the power of their minds alone. But gone are the day’s of gloomy castles and black capes, instead your more likely to find Vampires in vivid colors. “We who spend so much time in darkness appreciate color more than you might imagine” this is quite a welcome change to vampire mythology, I hadn’t even realized how tired I had grown of vampires being dressed in black until I read that sentence.

Ms. Steele has an incredible way of painting pictures with her words. She depicts things with such detail and clarity there were times I almost felt like I was watching a movie rather than reading a book. This is seen through out the entire book from small things like De’s kitchen which I fell in love with based on the description alone, to much more important things like the first time De and Toby have sex. The medicine should not be taken on alcohol or with smoking, nitrates, certain antibiotics and interacting agents. viagra cost in canada cheap 100mg viagra Now a day, VigRX Plus is getting the popularity which it genuinely deserves. A thorough sexual history and assessment of overall health is essential, a quality penis health cream can also increase sensitivity, which may make for a more enjoyable sexual experience. buy tadalafil uk It also reverses aging effects and offers effective sildenafil side effects treatment for male impotence or erectile dysfunction. De tells him “I’m going to feast on you Toby Heaton. It won’t be neat, and it won’t be pretty. It’s going to be messy and hot and sticky and bloody.” and boy is it. It is primal and bloody and a little disturbing, but it is also a completely perfect depiction of a vampire claiming a human as his. There is no doubt about the fact that De is a vampire and what that means, he is a predator who will take what he wants, and if he gives pleasure that is his choice too.

Although De is no longer human, hasn’t in fact been human for a very long time, there are some things that apparently transcend the change from human to vampire and survive through out the years unchanged. One of these things is De’s quasi-antagonistic relationship with his sister, Filia. It was quite amusing to watch her needle De as only a younger sister can, before turning around and telling Toby that he better not hurt her brother. It was oddly reassuring to watch to vampires act in such a human way.

Phantasmagoric Feast captivates from the very beginning, but it’s only fair to warn you that, as the first book in the Feasts of Fortune series, this book does not end in a happily ever after, or even a happy for now. Although I do hold out great hope for the end of this series to be a happily even after, in the meantime I look forward to thoroughly enjoying the ride. Instead of a happily ever after that is predictable this ending sneaks up on you so subtly and craftily that you never see it coming. You get drawn into the hypnotic world Ms. Steele has created so completely that before you could even hazard a guess as to what will happen next you are blindsided by an ending you could have never imagined. Leaving you torn between the intense desire to know what happens next right now, and wanting to revel in the sublime pleasure that is delayed gratification.

Phantasmagoric Feast is a dark and tantalizing tale, full of unexpected twists. Ms. Steele’s complex characters and delightfully wicked writing are sure to captivated old fans of the vampire genre as well as bring in many new ones.

Man-gods born to live and love forever, the Lords of Satyr are renowned for their sexual prowess…and unquenchable lust…

Call My Name

The forum excavations in Rome go on, directed by the iron-willed, charismatic Lord Bastian Satyr. Out of nowhere, a mysterious, haunting voice calls out to him…and lures him to the site of a long-vanished temple, where vestal virgins once performed rites of erotic surrender. The temple is the find of his career, but his heart is about to face the unknown…

Michaela is a pure Ephemeral. She can enter the bodies of others—and become any woman a man might wish to possess. His choice is her pleasure. And the commanding and utterly virile Bastian is the only man she desires…

Elizabeth Amber has created a world of fantasy, based in the old religions and histories of Europe and Rome. The rich textures of this world are fascinating, and the mix of real history and fantasy are so well combined to draw the reader into the story.

Michaela and Silvia were best friends for untold centuries, until Michaela chooses to become mortal for the man she loves.

Raised in the temple of Vesta, Silvia is one of the Vestal Virgins, while Michaela becomes a Companion, trained to pleasure the dignitaries of Elseworld, and traveling Earthside on occasion. There she falls in love with Bastian Satyr, eldest of the second generation of the Lords of Satyr, and chooses to leave the life of an Ephemeral to become mortal for him. But she retains her ties to her friend, and when Michaela is murdered by an ogre sent by the evil Pontifex, Silvia takes her body as host, for that is the only way she can honor her friends last wishes, to lay with Bastian once more at Moonful. And although all Silvia knows of sex and passion is what was given her at Michaela’s hands, she has fallen under Bastian’s spell herself, and is beginning to love the man he is. Because she is an Ephemeral, Silvia can take on the body of one near death to become fully solid, but only for a limited period.

As she spends time with Bastian, first as a twelve year old ragamuffin, then as Michaela, she grows ever more conflicted at what she must do: find the six firestones from the ruined temple and return to Elseworld to try and free the nine Vestal imprisoned there. Can Silvia let herself love and be loved for who she is, or will she forever long for what Bastian can offer her? Can Bastian save her in time to start a new life with her? Will Silvia ever give him the one thing she has kept from him-her name?

I will admit that I found this book a little slow going at first, but soon became enthralled by the story of betrayal and salvation unfolding in Silvia’s story. And make no mistake about it-this is Silvia’s story just as much as it is Bastian’s. The retelling of Silvia and Michaela’s backstory is illuminating, if at times quite tragic, but gives an insight into Silvia’s actions.

Silvia is a wonderful character. Strong and determined to achieve her goals, she is shocked to find herself falling for Bastian. Thus, discussion with a spe generic cialis canadiant is required if a patient is suffering from ED, a medical professional will usually conduct a morning blood test to determine the cause of testosterone deficiency. Additional flow studies can be used to identify abnormalities in the kidneys and generic viagra online the bladder. And as Michaela’s most loyal friend, she denies the attraction, even to herself. I enjoyed watching her move from host to host, taking those characters as her own, and trying to fulfill the death wish of that host at each turn. Whether male or female, she gains a bit from each host, and has become very adept at what she does. Sensuous yet innocent, Silvia is a marvelous mix of any personalities combined. I like that she refuses to be deterred from her goal of freeing her fellow Ephemerals held captive by the evil Pontifex, even if it means giving up any happiness she could have with Bastian.

Bastian is the perfect image of the hero. Tall, dark and exceedingly virile, he is the ideal every woman seeks, but rarely finds. I liked that he isn’t perfect, however, and his small flaws make him more attractive overall. I loved the irony of a man whose family is in the wine industry being unable to touch liquor in any for without disastrous effects. As a very successful excavator and archaeologist, he has hidden the fact of his colorblindness from everyone. I loved that it was only through Silvia that he gained the colors in his vision, and thus always knew her, no matter what form she came to him in once he realized the cause. And I loved that he was willing to love and accept her, no matter what form she took, male or female.

This is a story filled with danger, for both Silvia and Bastian. Bastian is seeking the very same stones that Silvia is, but for a different reason. He believes, and rightly so, that the six stones on the Earth side are keeping the existence of ‘other kind’ hidden from the humans, and fears what could happen if the stones leave earth for the Elseworld. Will these two ever be able to be together, and love each other as who they really are? You must read Bastian to find the answer to that. I promise you, it is worth the trip.
