When a family illness forces Julie Loring to return home to North Carolina from New York, she is determined to avoid her old love, Dan Williams, and make the speediest possible escape. Her hope is dashed the first night back.

Dan doesn’t know why Julie ran off twelve years earlier, but he’s still in love with her. He wants her to be his wife and mother to his child. Though Julie warns she hasn’t changed, neither can deny the sparks that fly between them.

But Julie left with a secret—one she’s certain will destroy any chance they might have of a future together.

What is it about small towns? Folks either love it or they hate it. In Julie Loring’s case, she couldn’t wait to hightail it out of Compton’s Creek, leaving behind some broken hearts. New York, watch out! But then, Julie is forced to come back and handle a situation, and she has to face those she left behind all those years ago.

Julie Beth Loring, now simply going by Julie, doesn’t like poverty. She’s not fond of wasting time in small towns when she feels bigger and better is waiting elsewhere. She’s stubborn, very opinionated, and she sticks to what she feels no matter the outcome. The man she left behind twelve years ago wants answers, and he’s not going to go away quietly. It’s time to settle the ghosts of Julie and Dan’s past, whether she wants to or not.

Dan Williams never got over Julie. He was devastated when she just packed up and left without a word, and without a real good-bye. Seeing her again after all these years has brought out old feelings, some anger, and new feelings. Things have changed in his life, and he seeks Julie’s love and acceptance. He knows her feelings about staying in Compton’s Creek, but that doesn’t keep him from trying. Pallor, cialis price brand sweating, and rapid (or “racing”) heart beat. All he has to do is break down her defenses, get her to fall in love all over again, and show her that life in a small town isn’t all that bad.

Ms. Bellamy creates a jam packed emotional punch in Homecoming. This author takes this couple on a wild journey of second chances. With a loss of an important person, the mixed emotions of a child, and plenty of love, this story gives off a heartwarming vibe of settling down and starting a new dream. The characters are so well created that it’s easy to relate to them, feel their emotions, and get angry or happy at their actions. The book had me hanging on to every word. I was hooked on from the get go. I had plenty of angst as the story progressed, wondering how Julie and Dan were going to get through this when both are stubborn and don’t give up easily. I was surprised at the turn of events that swayed one of them into changing their minds.

I enjoyed Homecoming very much. The story and people that brought it to life found a place in my heart and in my mind long after the last page was read. It’s a beautifully write contemporary that tugged on my heartstrings, and readers, if you love contemporary stories set in a small town, then why not get yourself a copy of Homecoming and allow Julie, Dan, and the rest of the family to find their way into your heart as well?

Keeper of the demon of Secrets, Amun can manipulate the darkest thoughts of anyone nearby. But when the immortal warrior is chained and isolated to protect those he loves, death is his only hope of release—until he meets Haidee, a fellow prisoner whose beauty and hidden vulnerability draw him into a reckless test of his loyalty….

Haidee is a demon-assassin, raised to despise Amun’s kind. Yet how can she hate the man whose touch sets her aflame? But to save him, she must give herself body and soul…and face the wrath of a powerful adversary sworn to destroy her.

This is one of the most entertaining series I have ever had the pleasure of reading and The Darkest Secrets lived up to the expectations set by previous installments. Amun, keeper of the demon of secrets, was a warrior that I really didn’t know much about coming into the story but always intrigued me. How much can you really know about a person who cannot open his mouth? Since his demon absorbs all of the secrets of those around him to speak would mean for him to reveal all of the absorbed secrets including those of his closest friends. This left his character a bit reclusive throughout the series until now.

Even better, the identity of his mate made the story that much more enticing since Haidee was the woman who had murdered his best friends hundreds of years ago. When Amun should have been trying to kill her, he found himself instead protecting the fierce woman. Of all the women, Haidee may have been the one with the odds against her most. Even though Amun accepts her, his friends are sure to want blood for her previous actions.

I was captivated by this book to the point where I could not put it down. I am not sure which was the more gripping, the main plot of Amun and Haidee, or all of the other sub plots in this story.

While this may be the seventh full-length book in this series, there are also quite a few anthologies where the characters in this series have appeared. Additionally, while I think anyone can enjoy this story alone, I would recommend to readers that they read the previous books. They are all extremely entertaining and will leave any reader wanting more the same way The Darkest Secrets left me anticipating the next story.

Undercover DEA agent Caleb Black is home for the holidays—possibly to bust his own father. But maybe Caleb’s con-man dad isn’t the one running drugs through the small town of Black Oak. Maybe it’s the green-eyed goddess who runs the New Age shop and has Caleb under her sultry spell.

Pandora Easton saved the family store with two words: sex sells. And her delectable aphrodisiacs really work, as she’s proven with notorious bad boy Caleb again and again and again.

Little does she guess that, in the end, her most potent potion will be the truth….

The first chapter promises what the rest of the book delivers – laughs, embarrassing moments for both heroine and hero, a mystery slowly unfolding and two unlikely people falling in love despite the suspicions that surround them. There’s not a slow moment in the entire book. Sex, Lies and Mistletoe entertains and amuses in every chapter.

The one thing I look forward to when I read a book by Ms. Webber is the laugh hook. She always manages to have either the heroine or hero experience, say or do something totally off the wall funny and this story does not disappoint. I also enjoyed the author’s inclusion and acknowledgement of older folk having sensual fun and the heroine’s blushing response to some of it. It was adorable and many times had me giggling. The author was quite respectful of the fact that love is ageless, enthusiasm for the fun things in life are just as important in our later years as when our hormones are in peak production, all the while making me smile.

Clearly, this is a standalone book because it’s the first in a new trilogy and I liked how the author set it up. Basically, it’s about a dysfunctional family whose patriarch has decided that being a family, whole and hale, is more important than the vagaries of his youth. But his influence on his children is profound and he is going to have to use very sneaky means to reach his goal. The author hints at what it might be, and teases as to who the ‘insider’ is. Certainly, it’s a clever use of intrigue because after reading the book, it sounds like someone is a bit smarter than the old man and things may not go the way he hopes. Because the underlining story arc is about family, I am very interested in reading the rest of the series. Especially if the future books are as good as this one.

I loved the name, “Pandora”. The heroine sure has an uphill battle. Not only to save her family’s store, but to overcome her own insecurities. There was a lot of internal conflict that she had to sort through before she allowed herself to believe that what she felt for the hunky and oh so bad but delicious hero, Caleb, was real. I liked the love/annoyed relationship with her mother and her enthusiasm for food. Benefits cialis generic france is not harmful to the eyes as it does not act on PDE6 that is present in the retina. I also enjoyed watching her tennis match-like attraction to Caleb. He was hard to resist.

Caleb is a well rounded hero. He is the epitome of perfection in his imperfection. His views of family life, his love for his father despite its causing him headaches and his internal dilemmas that he has to overcome to move forward, all made him a wonderful man to read about. The fact that his body goes into overdrive whenever he’s around Pandora provided some very entertaining moments.

And that’s another great thing about this story – the sensual buildup. The attraction was instantaneous but the minefield they had to navigate before they reached the sheets made for some fun reading. When they finally got together, it was pretty explosive and Ms. Webber delivered some satisfying and well written love action. It was a great balance.

Secondary characters play major roles as supportive casts or bad guys. But I’m not going to discuss which is which because the author laid a red herring among them. I liked that. Yes, I figured it out before the ‘great reveal’ but I totally enjoyed every moment of the journey getting to the point when the heroine and hero figured it out too. I’d call it light drama – nothing too heavy but it sure spiced things up nicely. Even though the title has “mistletoe’ in the title, I would not consider this a holiday themed story.

Sex, Lies and Mistletoe is a delightful romp that is sweeter than honey and hotter than the hottest hot chocolate. It’s entertaining, exciting and absolutely piqued my interest for which sibling gets their happily ever after next. If Caleb was a tough nut to crack, I can’t wait to find out what Ms. Webber comes up with to get the next one on board the love train. With any luck it’ll be an equally bumpy ride with as good a payoff at the end as this one was. Ms. Webber writes satisfying romance with kick that also makes you laugh and want to come back for more.

Allie Blue’s dream of buying the old Smithington mansion and turning it into a bed and breakfast is stomped by a mystery real estate developer with a fancy pen and loaded checkbook. With no bed and breakfast, Allie resorts to one small fib which lands her a flight attendant’s job and the task of pampering Upward Airlines’ most demanding frequent flyer — Kiptyn Thomas, III. Something raw and potent snaps between them, but Allie fights the attraction for the guy who thinks he’s at the top of the food chain. Kiptyn Thomas is used to getting what he wants, when he wants it. Allie Blue both annoys and intrigues him. Will some well-intentioned fibs, a deep dark secret, and similar personalities draw them together or keep them apart?

Now this is how a story should be!

This is my second book I’ve read in the Millionaire’s Club series. I absolutely love this new refreshing series and I can’t wait for more. This story read very fast and seemed shorter than its length, but it was gratifying either way.

Allie Blue had a dream to open a bed and breakfast but it just got crushed. Instead she finds herself working as a flight attendant. On her fourth day on the job, she’s told she has to serve one of the airlines toughest passengers, playboy billionaire Kiptyn Thomas. Never one to allow herself to be intimidated she rises to the challenge and… well… fails pretty miserably.

Why does this particular flight attendant peak Kiptyn’s interest? She sasses him, infuriates him and just drives him plain crazy. He now finds that he can’t stop thinking about her. Their attraction is instantaneous, but with their pasts, they are cautious and make many mistakes. It is a whirlwind romance filled with sensual encounters. Their passion is off the charts but it is still sweet and endearing. I will also say, without giving any clues away, that the closing day/night in the book is the most unique I have ever read. Wow, talk about imaginative!

This is a romance all wrapped up in a wonderful little package. It has a simple plot, but is rich in details. A back story is not necessary to enjoy this book. It didn’t need it, which then allowed the author to focus on the actual plot and not add all the filler needed to get a reader up to date. This story is just perfect. One Small Fib is solidly written and just the right size. I don’t feel like I missed a single thing and I am so satisfied with the ending I do believe I actually sighed!

One Small Fib is like a decadent dessert without all the calories; sinful and tasty with just the right about of sweetness. This book is perfectly proportioned without leaving you overstuffed. Ms. Romes will have me coming back for more.

Maggie O’Brien is thrilled when she lands a starring role on the Digital Vampire Network’s hottest soap opera, As the Vampire Turns. Doesn’t hurt that her leading man is Don Orlando de Corazon, the greatest lover in the vampire world! But who is Don Orlando really? Nobody knows, not even Don Orlando. As the couple sets out in search of his mysterious past, “home for the holidays” takes on a new meaning when the recently-turned vamp discovers his own Christmas miracle.

Reading A Very Vampy Christmas should come with a warning for funny bones everywhere. Even after re-reading the story, I still giggled and guffawed. The only reason I was affected so effectively was because of the quality writing. So even when I knew what to expect, the perfect comedic timing still came through making those clever parts continuously grin-worthy.

The first hint that I had that Ms. Sparks had written a light and entertaining tale was the ring incident. Good thing I wasn’t drinking at the time. My sudden urge to laugh uproariously would have had dire consequences for my laptop.

Then the author switched gears after hooking me with humor. She delved into both their histories and their hearts by exploring both Maggie’s and Don Orlando’s points of view. Talk about star crossed lovers! At that point, Ms. Sparks presented me with two people who very much needed love but had no idea how to go about it. They both harbored secrets and insecurities and at that point in the story, I couldn’t wait until it was revealed as to how they were going to accomplish getting beyond them. Of course, it didn’t help with Maggie shouting at Don Orlando, “I’m not your banana!” That made getting the two of them together quite the challenge. I’m glad to say, the author was more than up for the task because at the end of one chapter, she had Don Orlando drop a bombshell. I never saw that one coming and it was so gripping!

The next thing I knew, I was feeling sad and sorry for both Maggie and Don Orlando. They both had hurts. The best thing, however, is how they banded together to figure it out how to fix things. They rose to the challenge, taking them both on an amazing journey of discovery and revelation. She made me laugh and giggle when I least expected it. And she brought in one of the hunky guys from McKay Security and Investigation. I love it when characters from other books come and play too. This sentence totally cracked me up, “I’m 479 years old, ye moron.” Vampires can be so much fun.

Of course the mystery of just exactly who Don Orlando was ended up being the icing on the cake. Poor guy, his first name as a vampire was very embarrassing but adorable. Then I got to meet, Scarlett and Tootsie–secondary characters guaranteed to have readers grinning from ear to ear. I have often wondered where the author comes up with all the goofiness and hilarity she infuses her stories with. It’s a riot and I love it! I mean, there’s this serious part where he says, “…they murdered me!” the reply was, “So, you were having a bad day.” How does anyone expect me to keep a straight face with witty repartee like that?

Things did get serious for a bit, so readers will find plenty of meat and substance to hold the story together. It was good enough to keep my interest and have me rooting for the hero. He had lost so much in his life and the goal of the plot was to get it back and be worthy of loving Maggie. What great motivation! Eventually I got to find out who Don Orlando really was, where he came from and what a very unusual family he has. In fact, that brought about more laughs and smiles as well as happiness. All’s well that ends well –with a grin and a kiss.

A Very Vampy Christmas is chock full of laughs, good feelings, spicy encounters and a satisfying happily ever after that will leave fans pleased and content. It’s hard to believe that this was a short story because so much was packed into it. I enjoyed the dialogue and the secondary characters. I thrilled to the protagonists’ quick declarations of love and enjoyed the clever way Ms. Sparks wrapped it all up. If a reader is looking to treat themselves to holiday cheer, this adorable paranormal romance will do the trick.

Once upon a time…the Blood Sorcerer vanquished the kingdom of Elden. To save their children, the queen scattered them to safety and the king filled them with vengeance. Only a magical timepiece connects the four royal heirs…and time is running out.…

As the dark Lord who condemns souls to damnation in the Abyss, Micah is nothing but a feared monster wrapped in impenetrable black armor. He has no idea he is the last heir of Elden, its last hope. Only one woman knows—the daughter of his enemy.

Liliana is nothing like her father, the Blood Sorcerer who’d cursed Micah. She sees past Micah’s armor to the prince inside. A prince whose sinful touch she craves. But first she has to brave his dark, dangerous lair and help him remember.

Because they only have till midnight to save Elden.

I can’t believe the series is at and end with Lord of the Abyss, and I can’t even say they’ve saved the best for last because they were all awesome in their own unique way. This story of the last child of the king and queen was the most poignant and sweet. His saving and redemption had a higher importance than saving the kingdom and reuniting with his siblings. Micah’s story is also the most challenging of them all because unlike the rest, he has no family memories of any kind to trigger; he was too young when the Blood Sorcerer attacked all those years ago. But some things do seem to make their mark even in ones so tender in age and Ms. Singh’s use of those kinds of triggers was accurate, interesting and adorable.

The heroine turns out to be the most exciting of them all. She has to overcome not only her heritage but her visage. Ms. Singh is a genius because she reversed the Beauty and the Beast story and made it her own. Liliana’s father is the worst sort imaginable and even knowing that didn’t prepare me for how cruel, heartless and twisted he turned out to be. Lily, as Micah calls her, is actually a gem of a person with a heart of gold. Despite all that was done to her growing up, she kept her purity of heart intact. How she did it, I can’t even fathom. A lesser woman would have withered and died years ago, but a weak woman would never have had the gumption to tackle the Lord of the Abyss on his own turf.

I wanted to cuddle a big teddy bear or something as this story unfolded. Not because it was scary, though there is plenty of drama and suspense to grab a reader’s emotions. But because I couldn’t hug Micah. His character was written so well, I could feel the dearth of happiness in his life, his confusion when Lily started chipping away at the hardness of his heart and the small kernels of joy that he experienced while he slowly but surely fell in love with Lily. Out of all the books in the series, Micah is my favorite because in his reawakening, he was adorable. generico levitra on line Both the active ingredients are PDE5 inhibitors. His enthusiasm was childlike – yet he was all man. His first forays into trusting another person were beautiful and heartwarming yet he was wise to know when not to trust someone. And he wasn’t afraid to explore the physical side of what was blossoming between him and Lily. He had great focus and stamina which made him an exciting partner for Lily. Before Micah, she’d been pretty much ignored or ‘tolerated’ and she also didn’t trust easily. Micah’s loving the heroine healed her right back. It was beautiful to watch.

The main overall story arc, the reclamation of the City of Elden, doesn’t take center stage as I thought it might. Nor were there any big productions of the siblings banning together in one big coordinated siege against the Blood Sorcerer. It just was. I was pleasantly surprised that the book continued the tradition of this series and remained a perfect standalone read. Its primary focus was on the bumps and bruises of the growing relationship between Micah and Liliana. The resolving of the overall conflict does get dealt with in a most satisfactory way but the author perfectly balanced it with the romance between the two main protagonists. It’s a well told tale that tied up all the loose ends and insured a reader’s belief that all the children of the old king and queen of Elden have achieved their happily ever afters in a kingdom freed of evil and torment.

Lord of the Abyss defines what makes a fairy tale stand the test of time. It has Good triumphing over a seemingly undefeatable evil and the hero gets the girl. But just when I thought there could be no more surprises, Ms. Singh saved the best for last. It was an awesome little twist and quite humorous in its delivery. This story is romantic, delightful and gripping. My emotions were engaged, the characters well developed and even the secondary characters of the castle were full of charm and personality. That includes the mouse. I’m sad to see the end of what has turned out to be the most entertaining trilogy I’ve read in a long time. I highly recommend the Royal House of Shadows series to readers and fans of paranormal or fantasy romances. It’s pure satisfaction and entertainment.

Ami isn’t much for trusting strangers. She has a hard time trusting anyone. But she’s no coward, and she’s no pushover in the protection department either. So when she comes across a mysterious warrior taking on eight deranged vampires on his own, she doesn’t hesitate to save his bacon. Of course, that was before she realized what one little rescue would get her into…

Marcus Graden has been an Immortal protector of humanity for eight hundred years, and he’s not interested in backup. From the moment Ami arrives in his life, he can’t deny that she’s strong, smart, and extremely skilled at watching his back. But she’s also destroying his protective solitude and stirring desires he can’t bear to awaken. After all, whatever her secrets—how can she defeat death itself?

I enjoy reading about a woman who defies the odds and expectations of others; to not only wow the other characters in a book, but stuns and amazes a reader too. Ms. Duvall does all that and more in the second installment of her hard hitting but cheeky Immortal Guardian series.

Night Reigns gave me not only another great tale but a surprising twist at the three quarters mark that knocked my socks off. Never could I have imagined where the story would take me, certainly not what was revealed! Because of this new slant, Night Reigns ends up being a clever, unique, and brilliantly executed book that readers will appreciate. Paranormal fans are going to be thrilled at the novel direction Ms. Duvall has taken because it breathes new life into what we think we know about vampires and their battles, and their origins.

When I refer to ‘cheeky’, I’m talking about the underlying sense of humor and fun the main characters have with their friends, amongst themselves and with other secondary characters. The author did an amazing job of infusing personality and emotion into the story and her placement of when she has the protagonist’s joking around seemed real, timely and very natural. It made the hero and heroine very likable and insured that I’d be very interested in the secondary characters when their turn to be in the spotlight arrives. Believe me, Ms. Duvall has peppered her tales with secondary characters well-rounded enough to inspire a commitment from me to read about every one of the amazing men who make up the team of Immortal Guardians. There were wonderful hints of conflict, of men who resist love or don’t think it’ll ever happen to them. Not in their line of ‘work’.

My favorite cheekiness is between the hero, Marcus and the heroine, Ami. Their flirting was thoroughly entertaining and the repartee quick and witty. Even when the drama and suspense had me biting my nails, it wasn’t overly dark or depressing. The conflict was solid and well thought out.

Ami was the biggest surprise for me. She had been through so much horror in her life that to find her willing to stand by her man, once she admits he is her man, even though it meant facing a fear that practically crippled her, was an amazing journey of growth. One that completely engaged me. Despite all the reasons she has to mistrust people, she doesn’t shy away from learning all she can to be the best she can be.

Marcus on the other hand, is at first, a jerk. He’s not actually written that way but from what I could tell from the other secondary characters, he had a certain reputation. They respected him, thought fondly of him, when they didn’t want to whap him upside the head, and they feared for him. He was in a dark place in his life when the story opened. His healing journey and his eventual opening up of his heart was wonderfully done. He certainly was and is an effective Guardian, and I’d trust him to guard me anytime, but he had a long way to go to brush up on his ‘people’ skills.

The one person who kept him in line, for the most part, was Seth. He’s sort of a father figure, mentor and boss. He’s also one of those fascinating secondary characters I referred to earlier. There’s something about him that is quite intriguing. He’s a mystery. However, in Night Reigns, the author laid the groundwork for some very thought provoking possibilities that begs further exploration. If the author’s intentions were to hook a reader on future books, she was successful. Add Roland and Chris into the mix and there’s plenty of deliciousness, conflict and interest to go around. On top of that are Darnell and David – more characters that make up the Guardian community. At times, while reading, I felt like I was in a candy store. So many choices to choose from — who will Ms. Duvall write about next? I can’t wait to find out!

My immediate satisfaction was guaranteed at least with Marcus and Ami. Before the protagonists hit the sheets, Ms. Duvall seduced my brain earlier on with a wonderful sensual buildup. That’s one of the things that were so great about this story. When the heat between the two finally combusted, the author’s use of language made it crystal clear how satisfying the physical relationship was between them. Even the happily ever after was romantic and sentimental. But not too sappy; the other Guardians made sure of that. One of my favorite giggles came from what Marcus imagined to make his point with Seth. I had fun.

Night Reigns is another jewel from the talented Ms. Duvall. This story is action packed with sultry shenanigans and diabolical bad guys, guaranteeing readers a book filled with adventure and romance. Marcus and Ami are a great couple and watching them fall in love was completely entertaining and fun. The ideas are fresh and the story arc more complex than at first believed. I suspect that Ms. Duvall has more surprises up her sleeve for characters and readers alike. I want to be first in line for her next book because this series is just that good.

These two can’t agree on one single thing, so how can they learn to trust each other and believe in what they could have? Can Talos keep his foot out of his mouth long enough to show Bailey he is what she needs? Can Bailey let down her guard and believe that something good can finally happen in her life?

Allie Standifer brings the Poseidon brothers back for another round of fun and games. The leading characters are richly detailed and many faceted, with issues desperately needing resolution. There are demons, mythical beings, a family secret and a marvelously sarcastic and entertaining oracle that communicates via the most hilarious email messages ever.

Bailey McCain is strong, independent and determined to go her own way. She doesn’t believe in the possibility that she could be anyone’s soul-keeper, much less to someone like Talos. She has places to go, demons to fight and doesn’t have time for a life of her own. She is smart mouthed, sassy and, deep down, she’s afraid she doesn’t deserve to be with him. I love her inner dialogs where she either wants him or wants to kill him. However, one must be prudent to visit a competent and experienced Dosage and Prices cheap viagra no prescription practitioner, is based upon an intuitive approach where every client is assessed and treated individually according to their needs. It is crucial to closely monitor any loved 1 whose behavior abruptly changes, specifically if this alter is viagra 100mg tablet accompanied by sharp attitude and physical appearance adjustments. The principal thing about viagra wholesale this drug is to take these pills regularly in order to get faster and effective size enhancement results. Although a temporary elevated blood sugar level may also start reflecting generic soft cialis in one’s workplace. I loved watching as she slowly came to realize that this could be her chance at have a family, even if it could be a rather dysfunctional one.

Talos Poseidon is strong, sexy and clueless when it comes to women. He never believed in the prophecy that said each of the nine brothers had a soul-keeper in the world: that one person holding the power to restart their hearts and lungs, and enrich their life. Even when his brother finds his mate, Talos doesn’t believe he has one. When Bailey happens in his life, he has no idea how to court her and make her his, and alienates her more with each passing moment. I loved watching as he went from one extreme to another; first denying his feelings, then being upset because he can’t understand why Bailey gets upset.

There are several converging threads in this story, and at least one appears to be ongoing. The interest in the brothers by the Scaber’s demons has yet to be fully explained or explored. The secondary characters are each individually crafted. Clio, the first soul-keeper, and mate to Talos’ brother, is sarcastic and witty, and a perfect friend for Bailey and her wise cracks. Each brother has his own unique and entertaining personality, and I look forward to hearing more about each of them.

There is also the quest that Bailey must undertake, set on her shoulders by her dead uncle, and the Trial of the Oracles where three of the brothers must compete. The dialog is fresh and fast moving, and I loved the email messages posted throughout the story, from the brothers to the oracle Phoenix, and his replies are hilarious.

I highly recommend this as well as the first book in the series, Poseidon’s Prophecy. But be prepared to laugh, cry and laugh some more at the give and take these characters share.

Serah SanGermano runs a successful catering company in a Midwestern town. After she inadvertently helped her friend unleash a legion of demons, she’s been trying to hide her own newly discovered powers. Matthias Ambrose, a mysterious demon mercenary sent to protect her, has his own secret– one that will embroil them both in the scandal from hell.

The last thing he wanted to do was to be sent back to Earth to protect Serah. After all, she’s the reason he’s in trouble to start with…

This book has demons, angels, imps, succubus, and more. How about a talking cat that drinks scotch and smokes cigars? Yes, it has that, too! With all this magic and mayhem going on at once, it starts out fast and I zoomed through the pages to the end. The bad guys are really, really bad and they have magic to fight with.

Ms. Ayers writes a fantasy than tantalizes. Her story is vibrant, busy, and entertaining. You will appear wholesale viagra india as a complete man with strong self-confidence. Well, ED is not a major issue, it is just generic cialis samples a slight reduction in LVEF. There can be one or a cialis price in india http://appalachianmagazine.com/2016/05/22/5-reasons-why-america-is-ripe-for-revolution/ hundred products on the market, but none of them should be a chief reason for apprehension for you. If your cause is genetic, then you will need to see a viagra pfizer canada urologist. While all these characters have various talents and skills, she gives them a touch of realism that makes you accept the premise of the story and has you rooting in the corner for Serah and Matthias, her protector.

Matthias has a history with Serah, but he’s erased her memories. When he finds himself falling in love with her and she demands to know his secrets, he restores her memories of that time. Bad move on his part, she wants nothing to do with the big bully. So they exchange barbs and barely tolerate each other’s presence throughout part of the story. The sarcastic comments are great fun. I like characters with quick tongues who can tease the other person.

I loved this story. It’s so good this book is going on my keepr shelf for re-reading later. I don’t keep a lot of books anymore, so this is a high recommendation from me.

Talk a walk on the wild side and try to beat the devil; what do you have to lose? Maybe more than you thought…

Angelica Carew awakens after a boating accident to find herself married to her rescuer. Renold Harden is the stepson of the man who lost his Louisiana plantation to her gambler father and is bent on revenge. Angelica begins as a pawn in Renold’s vengeful plans, until he discovers her hidden depths…

Along the Mississippi, in Louisiana and New Orleans in the late nineteenth century, life was not for the faint hearted. The thin veneer of society’s niceties cracks easily in the damp, steamy climate and the rough, cruel, greedy traits of humanity show through. Every one of the seven cardinal sins seems to thrive in the elite of society and in the most base of humanity.

Angelica Carew becomes a pawn in a revenge plot—a plot of which she has no knowledge.

Revenge by using an innocent person to get to his target sets Renold Harden’s life on a new course that challenges his alpha male determination as he pits his wits against the naïve but complex Angelica.

From past experiences, Renold does not trust the word or feelings of women—not even his mother’s. His intention is to degrade and make Angelica miserable to get back at her father. However, as the days go by, Angelica’s innate intelligence, her stern upbringing, common sense, intuition, and her ability to see more than what appears on the surface makes her an enigma to Renold. He finds himself wanting to make love to her and bring her to know all the passions and pleasures of man and woman together. He wants to consummate their marriage, Most of all he wants her love. Yet, he forges on toward his goal knowing that it is inevitable that she will come to hate him.

Angelica, reared by her spinster Aunt Harriet who believes in male authority and prerogative, has never been allowed to make decisions. When she regains consciousness after the steamboat explosion and believes her father and fiancé have been killed, she is at variance with what she should do. It is a cialis prices djpaulkom.tv member of the growth stimulant and anti-inflammatory products. She is in the care of Renold who says they are married because that was the only way he could see to her care after the accident. She doesn’t trust him, but she admits to herself that he sends “her emotions swooping like a backyard swing”. Even though she knows he is arrogant and manipulative, Angelica cannot dismiss his gentle care, his introducing her protectively to the wonders of New Orleans and its French Quarter, his installation of a garden to please her and so many other things.

The secondary characters keep the undercurrents treacherous for the two main characters. Renold’s best friend, Michael Farness, stirs a jealousy when he champions Angelica’s cause. Clotilde, Renold’s former mistress, stirs up as much animosity as she can, while Renold’s enemies along with robbers and assassins make life perilous. Of course, his mother and half-sister add to the unease.

Jennifer Blake’s special way of bringing characters to life emotionally and physically makes the reader feel as if she is sharing the upheavals, dangers, and euphoric experiences with the hero and heroine. The vivid images she creates assail the senses. The steamboat is pregnant with sights, scents, smells, tastes, feel, and sounds as are the varied parts of New Orleans, and the hundred-year-old, well-tended, and beloved Bonheur plantation is replete with the best of them all.

Ms. Blake does a masterful job of weaving in conditions, mores, and perils of the late nineteenth century Louisiana; for example, the barrel houses, lawlessness, Mardi gras, social issues, and much more. But above all she weaves the characters’ lives together to create a memorable love story that sprouts from an alienating event to grow and bloom to a thing of beauty. The love scenes, like love on a hot afternoon, are breathtaking.

Silver-Tongued Devil, like other Jennifer Blake novels, is a keeper to enjoy reading more than once.
