I hope that this is only the beginning of the characters’ stories, and that the author will allow me to continue to watch the main and supporting characters grow, because they will be on my mind for a long time.

The love she has for her mates is always in her thoughts and actions and the bond that they have is a wonderful thing. I enjoyed seeing Mark, Dane and especially Remi learn about love and what Jaycee feels for them. As they fight the new evil they find themselves becoming closer to each other and understanding the pain Jaycee feels. Watching their bond cement itself was a beautiful read. The three men are now ready to defend and finally stand by their mate and that is all Jaycee asks for. Seeing the men finally understand and give Jaycee what she wanted from the start: their understanding and trust made for a great read.

I was taken on an emotional roller coaster ride in this book. Not only do we get romance but action as well. The author does a wonderful job of combining the two and keeping the story fast paced and interesting. With the many twists and turns in this book I was glued to my seat and turning those pages to see what would happen next.

I would advise readers that this book contains some graphic sex and that some may want to be cautious before picking it up. This is also book three in a series and you need to read the first two to really understand and enjoy this book. Trinity Blacio is a very talented storyteller and I will be going in search of more books from her.

At times, I really felt connected with the storyline in this novella, but sometimes I was left feeling a bit disconnected. I had to step away to look at it with fresh eyes to get the connection back. Even at the end of the story I questioned the longevity of the relationship. I think that the characters still had some growth needed within themselves to truly convince me they would experience their happily ever after.

On a postive note, the author distinguished herself from the average BDSM storyline by writing Evan as a submissive that can top from the bottom. This intrigued me but I think that Evan had way too much power to be a true sub. For example Evan was allowed to speak and ask for the thing he wanted in this D/s relationship. In the end I realized that while the D/s relationship was a large part of their lives the love they felt for one another was more important.

Not only was the relationship development between the two main characters well portrayed in this story, but also the father-son bond that I got to watch bloom between Collin and Kerrigan. I loved the way Collin discovered who his son really was in this story. He also was willing to love Kerrigan and want to care for him even when it would have been easier to just give up. It was something that truly touched my heart and will stay with me for a long time.

With strong emotions and characters with limitless abilities to care for others this story tugged my heart strings and stayed with me long after the last page was turned.

Jaycee goes through a lot of pain in this story and she has yet to resolve it all. Since this is book one I can only hope that the following books will give the reader that happy-ever-after that Jaycee deserves. I enjoyed this book but I would caution readers that it is a very intense read including some deaths of prominent characters, references to the abuse and rape of a younger Jaycee and some harsh sex scenes as well.

Trinity Blacio does a great job of bringing the readers into the world of the wolves. Jaycee and her mates are great characters and I cannot wait to see how their story concludes.

Although these two had a good relationship I do think that Gayle seemed to jump into things too quickly and is doing things totally opposite than she would normally do. It was good to see the author have Gayle and her best friend question this but it seems to be glossed over. As you read this story you wonder what is going on with Rikard and all his strange behavior, which Gayle seems to always quickly dismiss. I found it this difficult to believe, and it seemed that there was little real depth to Gayle and Rikard, and these things affected my ability to really bond with the characters.

This is a story of BDSM, with flogging and fisting involved, so there may be a scene or two that offends readers by its harshness. All in all, though, this story had a good plot and while I may not have enjoyed “Must Love Music” as much as other works by this author it is still a well-written book. Not every character will appeal to every reader and this will not deter me from looking for more from this author especially since I have enjoyed other works by Jennifer Dunne.
