This story starts off fast and I jumped into it, totally along for the ride. Gavin and Jamie meet outside of the rescue and they seem to hate each other but still have this huge attraction to each other.

This is the first M/M story I’ve ever read where the two characters hated each other in the beginning. They’re both openly gay so it’s not a matter of one of them being in the closet, it’s more they both don’t want to love anyone. They just want sex, and Jamie isn’t so sure that the spoiled rich boy Gavin Montgomery is the right person to have a fling with.

Jamie was a complex character that I could see being misunderstood as a rude abrasive character but I actually understood him and liked him. Gavin is also pretty complex too, he shows this playboy attitude to the world, but really all he wants is to be loved.

I haven’t read any other stories in this series, but I greatly enjoyed this one. The sex is hot and abundant since they do start off with a sexual relationship only. Little by little they fall in love and I enjoyed the journey. I recommend this story for the complex relationship and a love story that isn’t just an insta love but instead about two people learning to fit their life and expectations together.

This was my first book in the Club El Diablo series. I enjoyed it. The characters were likeable, though Kyle was a bit full on at times.  The club scenes, although extreme were believable.

It starts off with lots of information about the club, all the rules and regulations, which is necessary I suppose, and Gloria showing a shocked Trisha around. Enter Kyle. Almost immediately Trisha is dry humping his leg as he devours her mouth, soon she orgasms, her first climax ever with a man. Damn the guy must be seriously hot! Who can blame her then when he offers her more orgasms? The story takes off and the sexy scenes will have steam coming from your ereader.

I liked the secondary characters and I’m sure they slot in well to the series. There were a few editing issues, and the writing although vibrant and vivid could be more polished. I liked the dialogue between Kyle and Trisha, it moved the story forward well, and the twist I really hadn’t seen coming. Trisha handled it well.

A good BDSM romance, felt like a longer read because a lot goes on which is always a bonus. The pace is snappy and the end result gave me a good feeling. I’m not sure I would rush to read the others in the series, but I did enjoy Touched by a Dom.

The banter back and forth between the main characters, the sex scenes and overall presentation of the book was great. I will definitely be looking for more books by this author. Her ability to pique your interest in the story is considerable and as a serial, it let you see the growth of the characters and the fear that they may not be able to be together.

Healing Touch is the second in Jayne Rylon’s Play Doctor series, and it was worth the wait. The world Ms. Rylon has built is highly sensual, and not for the faint of heart. The characters in this are strong and well crafted, with only one new character being introduced here. This is a book filled with passion, and tension of many kinds. I enjoyed seeing the characters interact, both in and out of the bedroom/laboratory. Nothing is left to the imagination in this one, and the characters’ strength is the one thing I found to be constant throughout the story.

Brielle Norris begins this story as a confused but determined woman. She wants so badly to live a ‘normal’ life, but her many fears tend to overwhelm her at times. She is smart and has a fantastic sense of humor that sees her through her darker periods, and has learned to compensate accordingly to avoid her hot buttons. I liked watching as she opened up to Luke, revealing her fears and dreams/nightmares to him. I love her courage and her willingness to follow through with every direction that Becca proposes. As she gets closer to Luke, I love that she is seeing that all men are not like her father, or her ex Brad.

Luke Malone is strong, intelligent and gorgeous, but he has been alone for too long. After his friends, Kurt and Becca, finally found their happily ever after, he wants what they have, and is less interested in the sharing they are used to. I enjoyed watching as her came back to the vibrant man he should be under Brielle’s attentions. I loved his loyalty, and above all, his determination to help Brielle overcome all her fears and nightmares, even the ones she has kept buried so deep, she didn’t realize they were there. His gentleness with her shows that a man can be strong but sensitive and caring too.

This is an intense and passionate book, with nothing left undone. If you want subtlety and innuendo, this is not the book for you. Brielle and Luke have a chemistry that leads to many extremes, and their bedroom scenes burn the pages, they are so detailed and hot.

This one is for those brave and adventurous readers who like their romance super hot, with no-holds-barred participation by all the characters at some points, and with a happy ever after at the end.

There was nothing I didn’t like about this book. The flow was amazing, the characters delicious and the right amount of peril and pleasure were balanced out. This book was like drinking a salted caramel mocha while you are wrapped in your favorite blanket. Wonderful!

The story line of the book was interesting. Written as a trilogy, it had definite parts. The first book, Breaking Free takes us from the lap of luxury into the waiting arms of Jordan, a local coffee house and BDSM club owner. The dialog was a bit off and the action choppy. I also had trouble with the suspension of disbelief at the coffee house when Claire gets in trouble for not being a good barista and ends up down in the dungeon having sex and taking over 40% of the company. It was too fast.

In the second part of the book, San Francisco Breeze, the flow was much better. The sex was sizzling and the events of the book were more orderly. The detail was very intense and the scenes were electrifying. The involvement of Claire in the business end of the coffee house takes on a smoother ride. She and Jordan come up with a great name for the coffee house with drinks named for BDSM signature flavors. It made me laugh and I was back to being hooked again. The blend of coffee house, sex club scenes and private moments made this segment my favorite of the three. It held my interest, felt realistic and had a good story line.

The third part of the book Body and Soul takes on yet another twist. Claire experiences new sensations and must decide if she is going to remain with Jordan or help her family who needs her. This section was full of angst and the author did a good job of relating that. The story wavered again, however, as Claire encounters another man and immediately falls into bed with him. This felt a little off. As the story concluded, it went back to full speed and was fine, but I had a lingering sensation that it was more 2-D than 3-D and I wanted more character depth and emotion.

Overall, the story line was interesting and the premise worthwhile. The sex scenes were sizzling and the author’s grasp on BDSM was good. What I had trouble with were some of the scenarios. Whatever choices made in the story need to have a good foundation and dealing with the dynamics of BDSM, you have to keep showing character depth and how it affects the person emotionally. Okay, maybe not always, but in a coming into yourself tale like this, it helps the reader connect on a more intimate level. Moving from errant barista to business owner and sex slave all at once was a tough nut to crack. In the second book, emotion was well done, but in the first and third, more definition would have been helpful. A little more lead in would have made the difference. I did enjoy the coffee house play on BDSM. Having worked as a barista, I could totally see it and that was my favorite part about the book.

So clearly the quick story isn’t going for anything realistic or believable, but more hot, fantasy erotica. The characterization is weak and the story relies on easy and fast stereotypes to set up the guys’ meet, then hops right into the plentiful sex.

Here you have Rose, the big bad bouncer and Thorne, the skinny inked kid who deftly manipulates and tops Rose almost immediately. A long night of non-stop sex and mild kink leads to a morning of more mild kink, this time body shaving, and more sex. It’s a case of love at first sight or sex anyway, so the story doesn’t include any emotional intimacy or happy ever after per se. More so like a promise of more kink and sex.

I can’t say I was disappointed since I choose this book specifically for an easy to read, light on plot, sex fest. It’s a very typical book by this author and fans will know exactly what to expect. It’s short and to the point, which is sex, sex and more sex. If this sounds like what you’re looking for, go for it.

Three Days of Dominance is a story full of heat, passion, and intrigue. Author Cari Silverwood has managed to create something unique in the paranormal genre, combining elements of BDSM with fantasy. The result is something that is refreshing, although certain elements fail to reach their full potential.

The heroine, Danii, is a police officer who has no problem standing on her own. Her job isn’t easy, so she turns to alcohol to dull the pain she experiences. Fortunately, happiness exists in her life in the form of her companion and dog, Killer. One day while walking Killer she finds herself in a spot of trouble. To her shock, a man offers to help her in exchange for three days of obedience. Thinking he’s a bit confused and out of sorts, Danii agrees, although she has no idea what exactly it is she’s signed on for.

Several elements of Three Days of Dominance ensure a reader will keep turning the pages; namely the hero, Heketoro. He seems to exist at the lake where Danii encounters him, but ultimately he is a mystery. As
his story unfolds and you learn of his history the book takes on a paranormal/fantasy edge. At this point Danii has to reconcile her feelings for the strange man she can’t stop thinking about, decide if she believes he is what he says he is, and choose whether or not she wants to help him. Likewise the ending leaves much to be desired. While the Danii and Heketoro have their happily for now, their journey begins anew. Perhaps Three Days of Dominance is part of a series, which means readers will discover what occurs at a later time. Considering the genre and source material it is worth noting that, while the book does resolve the primary conflict in Three Days of Dominance, the ending appears to be the beginning of a new story.

The technical aspects, such as writing, pace, and style is solid. Ms. Silverwood has a lovely voice and an ear for dialogue. The interaction between her characters feels very organic and her sex scenes sizzle. As an added bonus her world build is fascinating and she’s laid the foundation for a very compelling series if she decides to take Three Days of Dominance beyond one book.

I would recommend this novel to fans of erotic fantasy with BDSM elements, particularly those who enjoy stories involving magic and mystical creatures. If you’ve not read Three Days of Dominance this just might be the story you’re searching for.
