I loved both Bone and Royal’s characters though and the chemistry between them absolutely sizzled. Readers looking for a good amount of spice and kink should feel this really fits the bill. This story isn’t dark – Bone has been in the lifestyle a while and Royal isn’t a virgin to these games. I found it refreshing that all of Royal’s experience with BDSM though had been undercover and therefore “not real” in a sense. This was a delicious way to have many things new and fresh for Royal without him appearing to be completely innocent. I loved that balance and found it really helped sell the story to me and I greatly enjoyed it.

With some seriously smoking hot sex scenes, plenty of various kinks – sounds, plugs, piercings and restraints – but nothing felt over the top of excessive in the style of the story. Best of all the attraction and chemistry between the two men felt realistic to me and it was clear they were both completely into each other which was just lovely.

I found it utterly wonderful to finally see the three men work things out. For these few pages readers who haven’t read the previous two books will still be able to understand what is happening – but these scenes will certainly mean a whole lot more to those who have been following the relationship between James, Guard and Damien. I must strongly emphasize though, that this trio – and the story arc over the three Rainbow Island books – is a handful of pages. The vast majority of this story are three stand-alone fantasy-fulfillment stories and can certainly be read without prior knowledge – so I feel readers absolutely shouldn’t be put off by the fact this is “book 3”.

I really loved how while Tim deep down was a submissive, he was a strong willed and deeply intelligent man. At a few points initially Tim didn’t even seem completely certain he was a “real” sub as many of his instincts were to analyse everything, to be in control and to be very intellectual in his approach to things. I felt that Rain was the perfect match for him – willing to be tender and slow – but hot and firm where needed. I felt Tim and Rain were both well matched and not the traditional stereotypes of a Dom and sub pairing. I thought this story was fresh and interesting and a lovely look on how diverse people in the lifestyle can be.

I loved the slow build-up of chemistry between Mike and Brendan. I enjoyed how Mike really only had a lay-person sort of understanding about the BDSM lifestyle, but he wasn’t body-shy or virginal in his reactions to sex. It actually read to me like a refreshing change – Mike was open minded about new experiences and Brendan was happy and eager to teach him new things. Mike and Brendan exploring each other – and learning together sexually – was quite delightful to read.

Angus and Robbie were a wonderful and committed BDSM-lifestyle couple. I’ve not read much about puppy play really, so I was extremely pleased that the scene was moved through slowly. Since Angus and Robbie are new and learning the ropes this made it much easier for me – a novice – to follow along and understand both what puppy play is and how it’s conducted. While I feel certain this type of fantasy and role-play won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, I strongly feel that it was written in a consensual, loving and kind manner. So I think most readers who are either curious – or simply have an open mind – shouldn’t find anything offensive or too strange in here.

There were a few typo’s through the story (a “Rand” instead of a “Rain” and “warm” instead of “warn” etc) and while I did find that a little jarring it wasn’t bad – or frequent – enough to actually drag me out of the story.

Overall this was an excellent read, with three short stories and a lovely bit of closure for Guard, James and Damien. A lovely book and one I will happily reread again in the future.

I found this a fresh take on the more traditional style of vampires. While much of the world and mythology is similar to the normal style everyone knows, I loved how the book itself focused strongly on Aaron learning the ropes of vampirism. Beau takes on the role of mentor and it was interesting to effectively learn alongside Aaron. Elements of the BDSM lifestyle were closely woven in with more common vampire lore – feeding and avoiding sunlight/lasers etc. And I was delighted by the slightly rough edge Beau had. No sparkly vampires or lacy, flouncy silk shirts here!

At a few points early in the book I worried that Aaron was slightly too dependent upon Beau. While I loved how Mr Michael explained very thoroughly how weak, young and new Aaron was – so this dependency really made sense and was completely logical, Aaron’s level of reliance on Beau was deeply submissive. I have to admit though I really enjoyed watching Aaron flourish and grow strong – not just as a vampire, but also as a man and in his relationship with Beau. The pacing was near perfect for me. Slow, gradual and both men needed to work hard and earn it all. This made the whole story a real delight to me and one I know I will thoroughly enjoy reading many times to come.

This is the first of a series, and I really enjoyed the paranormal world Mr Michael has created. There were a number of very strong secondary characters who I presume will be showcased in future books. Aaron and Beau’s relationship was primary throughout the entire book and while they did find a semi-regular human man to feed from (Geoff – I dearly hope his book is one of the upcoming ones) and the feeding was fairly sexual (the M/M/M listed above) this is not a traditional ménage or a committed part to Aaron and Beau’s relationship. Aaron and Beau care for Geoff, enjoy him and feed from him, but they’re not a threesome in a relationship way. Personally, I’m hoping this leaves the door open for Geoff’s own story. Similarly – I’d love to read a story about Beau’s two siblings.

A new and lovely look on the traditional vampire story. I really enjoyed this and am eagerly awaiting new stories in this series. Highly Recommended.

Wow. I really loved this book! With four main plots threading delicately together this has plenty going on. It’s a testament to Mr. Michael’s writing skills though that no couple/group gets either overlooked or dwelled on too long. I found the pacing of both the story and the relationships between the couples/groups to be amazing.

Guard, Damien and James run a small island resort for a very select clientele – they allow their clients a safe and welcoming environment where their deepest sexual fantasies can come true. The three men have also been in a ménage relationship until James was hurt. I loved how even though they, themselves aren’t their own clients – their fantasy of getting back together and starting fresh was also clearly one of the longer-term plot arcs. Guard and James are the first characters we’re introduced to – setting up the various fantasies that are about to take place – and I was immediately drawn into their story, curious at the threesome breaking up but also eager for their reunion since it’s so obvious their love is still strong.

There is effectively three proper short stories going on in this book – as well as Guard, Damien and James as a peripheral storyline. Thor and Benji explore a fantasy of body modifications (piercings and tattoos) as well as aspects of the BDSM lifestyle, then Alan and Roman explore voyeurism – Alan submitting while Roman watches – and finally Quinn and Pierce explore Quinn’s medical fantasies together.

While I don’t personally feel there was any “forced seduction” in these fantasties, in a few places the story was being told from the Dom’s perspective. In two instances the Dom/sub pairings were brand new – only having known each other for their time on the island/resort – so the reluctance shown by the subs could potentially be construed as “forced seduction”. There was always safewords though, and never any play rough enough that I felt bordered on abuse – but there is a very fine line between being truly forcing someone and one partner being reluctant in a safe scene. Personally – I feel with the safewords and genuine care shown between all the partners this shouldn’t be on the wrong side of that line, but some of the scenes are quite heavy/emotional and without knowing for a fact the sub is loving every second (ie being told from their point of view) I felt this was worth mentioning. And just as the icing on the cake – all the fantasy plotlines were resolved with very happy and satisfied endings. There’s also clear hooks for both the next story and for the continuing relationship between Damien, James and Guard. I really enjoyed this and would strongly recommend it if readers are curious about “non-standard” types of kink. A lovely read.

The author ties it all together in the end with a very satisfying conclusion worthy of a romance. This one is for readers who like a little, or a lot, more spice and sexual adventure with their romance.

Things are just heating up for Peter and Christian, though. A former soldier, Christian still hasn’t found his subspace and he’s worried it either doesn’t exist or he’s simply doing it wrong. Peter has as much patience as he needs, though, and he slowly pushes Christian to the edges of his limits, doing everything he can to help Christian grow and flourish.

Christian’s training and the café they’re opening create good excuses for Christian to keep from submitting, even though, deep down, it’s what he really wants. Peter’s perseverance will have to work overtime to overcome them.

Will Christian ever give in to the things he knows he needs? Only time will tell.

Peter and Christian are still exploring their relationship. Christian is struggling to find his sub-space, and deep inside he’s worried he might never really reach it. Peter has fallen deeply in love with his boy and is more than happy to push Christian’s boundaries, to help him find that special place where nothing but the two of them exist.

While this book mostly focused on Peter and Christian and the progression of their relationship, I enjoyed the quick look-in’s we got to see of Damon and Toby too. The earlier books in this series centered on Damon and Toby’s relationship so it was fun to see some resolution of those plots happen. That said, this book really does show a lot of progress and deepening of Peter and Christian. I’ve loved this couple (Christian in particular) as complex characters in the earlier books and was thrilled to really dig deeper into their stories.

This is book five in the series. I feel it would be best if readers had read at least a few of the previous stories – but I have to admit the author does a great job of writing this book as a self-contained story. I feel readers could read this without any of the previous ones and the reader will still enjoy a great, emotional BDSM story. But the story is much richer, more complex and deeper having read the previous installments. I feel the experience is far greater having come the full journey.

I loved reading both Peter and Christian, as well as Damon and Toby’s stories continue. I’ve grown really attached to these characters and hope there are more books coming down the line. Hot and sweet, filled with interesting, multi-layered characters this is an awesome book and one I know I will reread many times to come. Recommended.

This story had so many aspects and elements to it that I hardly know where to begin. I adored the relationship between Hazel and Dylan from the very beginning. Even if they came together under what some may consider questionable reasons, it was clear from the beginning that they had chemistry and needed to be together. Then add in Ward, the questionable roommate of Dylan and Hazel’s past, and you get some amazing turn of events.

Hazel is one amazing woman, even though she has had some events in her life that has left her a bit jaded. I think on a personal level I related to her; she built a hard exterior to keep others out. That helped me connect with her as well as root for her from the very beginning. I knew she could find happiness if only she came to terms with her past and I was glad to watch the development.

Dylan is just too suave for his own good. I mean, how many girls and guys can he seduce really? I can tell why people seem to love him he just has a way about him. He makes you want to accept, respect, and submit to him. Yet, he does not take it for granted which really is a gift in itself.

Ward on the other hand is a guy I could never really figure out if I liked or hated, which is exactly how Hazel felt most times, and exactly what the author was going for. Even in the end I learned to appreciate him a bit more, but I still felt like someone needed to keep an eye on that one just in case. I also understand how he added a certain level of excitement and unpredictability to the story that really brought it to a different level.

Overall, I have to say I enjoyed reading this story. The relationship development was shaky at times but still continuously progressed. I have to say however that this is not one of those stories that left me thinking “and they lived happily ever after”. I felt like in the end some things went unresolved and could have used some wrapping up, but this may just be the authors way of getting me to look forward to the next story.

I really loved this book. Trey is an intricately complex character who really grabbed my imagination. Born blind, Trey has closed himself off to much of the world. His life is writing and the carefully controlled environment of his home. His parents hurt him emotionally when he came out of the closet – saying that Trey just wanted a man to live with him, to depend on. That comment has scarred him far more than Trey really knows. It’s had him close his heart off, and I feel it’s a big part of his unwillingness to share his whole life with Lucien, how their “only after a book is finished” relationship began. While his actions are logical, I really empathized with the fear Trey felt deep in his soul. Change is hard when you’ve made such a comfortable, routine life. They both start to make small changes, standing Friday night dates, swimming on Saturdays, small steps. And Lucien is the epitome of patience.

Their first big adventure out of the house was one I really enjoyed. Nothing huge or life-altering, just the simple pleasure of going to the local lake, making sandcastles and enjoying the sunshine together. It was a big step forward for both men and was a delight to read. And that was thankfully the first of many outings. I loved seeing this well-defined couple, who had been together for around ten years, deepen and explore their relationship, taking it to a new level. Trey and Lucien are clearly deeply in love, solidly committed only to each other, and yet there’s still so very much for them to do – Trey’s independence issues and Lucien’s wanting to be involved as more than just a part-time person in Trey’s life. Watching these men begin a new phase in their life together was amazing and I found it just wonderful to read the two men learn more about each other and open their hearts even further.

There is tons of fantastic sex, kink and naughty butt-plug play. I’d be amazed if anyone could read it through and not need a big glass of cold water to help cool down. Yet there’s such depth of emotion, such love and trust between these two men. It’s a brilliant thing to read and get swept away with. I loved this book and would strongly recommend it to others. A heartfelt, deliciously sexy story that will stay with me for some time to come.
