Neve’s story is another engaging tale in the Arcanium series. This story revolves around a young lady who never felt any want or need for sex and is given just the opposite from Bell, now sex is all Neve can think about and she is never satisfied. We are along for the ride as Neve tries to learn to control her needs. I really liked Neve she is a smart woman that is not afraid to stand up for herself. She takes what has been done to her and deals with it. Mikhail is a good man but has to do what he must to live and he tries hard to give Neve the space that she needs as she comes to terms with what has happened. I enjoyed seeing the other side of Mikhail and beginning to see what kind of man he truly is.

As Neve learns the ins and outs of the circus we also get to see more from the other inhabitants and their relationships. As Neve begins to settle in as much as one can into the circus readers get to see more of what is going on in it. Bell has his reasons for doing things the way he does but he is not sharing, and it is costing him much. We watch as time and time again Bell hurts people without realizing how much pain it costs and soon it may end up costing Bell. Once again it seems that there is another with powers like Bell that has taken an interest in the circus players and I am eager to see where the author will take this plot line in future books. This is only the beginning of Neve’s story and it does contain some explicit scenes, even one containing tentacles. If you are easily offended this is not a story for you but if you are like me and love a great story full of strong characters and on the risqué side this is one you will enjoy. I was sucked right into the story, but I have to add this caveat. This story involves exhibitionism and extreme spanking. That said, I genuinely enjoyed what each part wove together and added to the story as a whole.

Readers who enjoy a slow build-up to their romance, with lots of chemistry and sexual tension, should find this story really suits their needs. I thought it was interesting the James and Aiden actually got to know each other online – not realizing it was each other that they spoke to – and this helped me as a reader really see and understand what their feelings were for the other and the complications they felt were in the way. I also thought this was a good way for the author to move through the awkwardness and anxiety Aiden and James felt in each other’s physical presence – a way for them to interact and express their feelings to the reader clearly without having holding back. I felt this helped keep the chemistry and sexual tension bubbling away nicely before they actually moved forward and started their relationship together physically.

After a few miscommunications when Aiden and James finally get together I feel the chemistry and sizzle of their intimacy is well worth the wait. Readers should be aware there’s a bit of kink and fetish/BDSM play though I didn’t find any of it too over the top for an erotic romance story.

While I found the auction part of the plot fairly predictable I really enjoyed that so much of Lissa’s past and the dating site she and Blake used to come together was really quite different and fresh to me. Even though it’s made clear from the start that Lissa has been in love with Blake for years and years, they are sexually intimate very quickly in the story. There are plenty of really modern/different elements in the story – particularly related to the auction site, things like live-streaming plenty of the sexual experiences of the virgins, and the tattoo that’s part of the contract they sign.

A lot of the romantic and emotional connections though are far more down to earth and relatable, I feel. I really enjoyed Zane’s character – Lissa’s best friend – and how he worked both Lissa and Blake and helped bring them together. I also thought Lissa’s past was both interesting and a good element to cut some of the over-the-top aspect to the sex and auction website. While I found the perspective swapping through the chapters (from Blake’s perspective to Lissa’s) made the book as a whole feel a little choppy to me, I can completely understand why the author did this. Not being able to see things from Blake’s perspective would have made it a lot harder for me as a reader to comprehend his genuine feelings or understand where Blake was coming from throughout a lot of the story. This head hopping was definitely needed in my opinion, but it made the story feel slightly disjointed (to me at least) at the same time.

The sex was steamy hot and I really loved how Blake and Lissa both loved each other very much and didn’t just want the sex itself or the baby they were trying to conceive. While definitely heavy on the eroticism this was also a story about two people in love – and that was the romantic part of the story that I really enjoyed the most. With some interesting characters, a complicated history and an extremely modern take on dating – this is a surprisingly different story that I feel a lot of readers should enjoy.

I really empathized at times with Bleu, especially in his longing for Grey and how Grey seemed to treat him so poorly in return. While I was glad there was a solid explanation behind it I never really felt fully on board with how Grey treated Bleu in the past before they deepened their relationship.

I’ve not read many werewolf and omega style stories so the world and paranormal settings came across to me as fresh and interesting. I thought the author did a good job balancing the world information-dumping and progress of Grey and Bleu’s emotional and romantic relationship. Grey’s mean behavior aside I thought the plot moved forward fast enough to retain the reader’s interest but slow enough it never felt like the two men were just racing directly for the bedroom with no connection between them

The final sex scene is fairly intense and while it’s certainly erotic and thrilling I’m not sure it will be every reader’s cup of tea. The binding/knotting ritualistic side to Grey and Bleu’s new romance was certainly eye-opening for me and quite a different reading experience.

Sexy and very descriptive, I found this to be an intense short story. I enjoyed the world building and came to appreciate the differences in the two main characters.

For me, personally it got taken a bit too far – for over half the length of the story. That said, I could see that Travis and Luke really were good friends and the extent of the teasing was the only blemish on my enjoyment of this story.

I thoroughly enjoyed the steamy sex between Patrick and Travis. It’s very consensual and while there’s a hint of kink with restraints and Daddy/boy talk and role-playing I didn’t find anything too over-the-top considering this is an erotic romance story. Dirty and sexy with plenty of spice in their mutual attraction, I enjoyed this story and found the ending very satisfying. Things start to change when they move in together and Siobhan sees Jackson in a new light, especially the way he treats Andy. He keeps major information as to why he wanted her as his wife from her, which causes problems.

It was funny when she left Jackson to feed Andy for the first time–because it ended in a mess. I like how Jackson finds himself growing, learning to take responsibility for a family. The plot is well developed with no major deviations. The love scenes are hot but still tastefully done. The only thing I wish could have been done is is having it longer, to watch their relationship grow over time.

If you want to see two people growing together under strange circumstances and learning to become one, this is a great book to try. With funny moments and sad moments, I wasn’t able to put this down.

She had problems and she didn’t deal with them in a very mature or safe way – but that’s what life really is like for so many of us – making mistakes and learning from the things we do wrong. Readers looking for a warm, happy and comfortable read probably won’t find what they’re looking for here. But once in a while I think it’s refreshing and important for us to read something a bit grittier, a bit harsher and more realistic – and in that sense this kinky erotic romance fits the bill perfectly.

After being so very badly burned by her ex, I can somewhat understand Joe shutting Nathan down so hard, but I couldn’t help but feel it a little unfair of her to try and mentally tar Nathan with the same brush. At times, particularly at the start of the story, Joe came across to me as rude and harsh – not just gun-shy or still burned by her ex and overly cautious. I understand that it’s a very fine line the author has to walk, and I completely wasn’t expecting Nathan to cast Joe one hot look and for all her baggage and insecurities to simply melt away. I do struggle, however, with characters being rude and impolite just because they’ve been hurt in the past. Joe walked a little too close to being outright rude for me to instantly warm to her, and this coupled with her wild behavior meant she wasn’t an easy character for me to relate to in the very beginning.

Having said that, I loved how deeply complicated Joe was. Her character wasn’t a traditional or straight-forward one. She had many layers – some of them not at all pretty – and while not easy to read or relate to at times, it made this whole story really different for me and it certainly stretched my boundaries. I also really enjoyed how Nathan was nothing like what Joe assumed him to be. Watching him prove to her, over and over again, that he could satisfy her unlike any of her other hook ups was delicious. There’s a fair bit of kink in the story that should definitely satisfy readers who like some heat and spice to their story.

A different and very interesting read, this was a great story.

Cin is a good man and does what he can to care for his abusive family and survives the best he can. When a chance meeting with Prince Henry all that changes. Now is not the time to find love for Cin is indebted to his fairy godmother and she has come to collect. Running and hiding is all Cin can do now but Prince Henry is on the hunt as well. What will Cin do now?

Cin’s story is a good read. There is no mistaking that this is a retelling of Cinderella with a naughty theme. It is a fun and engaging read. I loved all the Princes and Cin as well. There is depth to each character and their story comes to life nicely. It was nice to see the relationship grow between Cin and Henry and what each one will do for their love. I also enjoyed the twist with the fairy godmother and how she grants wishes. She is nothing like those that we know from childhood. Cin learns what a treasure love can be and as always you should be careful of what you wish for.

Gabe is a dominant who is bent on getting his revenge from Lissa’s father, however, when her father sells her to Gabe, everything changes. Gabe has a history with Lissa’s father and mother and that has been incorporated into the story really well. Gabe is ruthless but kind and protective to the people who work for him; and those people mean a lot to him.

Lissa is an artist who had a good childhood until her mother died. When her father sells her, she is forced to come face to face with the worst side of humanity.

I do have to mention that the book has some scenes of violence and torture; after all Gabe is not an angel. However, with Gabe by her side, it proves to be an enjoyable read. Their passion and chemistry is off the charts.

It is the second book in the series which I did not know until I completely finished the book. That means it can be read as a stand-alone. The story is well developed and it was difficult and almost impossible to stop reading until I was completely done. It’s a recommended read.
