A killer at a small-town literary festival. Bumbling drug dealers. A kidnapped cat. Starting a romance among all this chaos might be the death of them.

Michael Fleishman is excited to meet his favorite mystery writer, Russell Withingham, at Lacetown’s Literary Fest. He is not expecting to cross paths with sexy hairdresser Jasper “Jazz” Dilworth—or become embroiled in a real-life mystery. As Lacetown’s only mortician and the county coroner, Michael is called to his first murder scene and is shocked to recognize the victim—Russell’s young lover.

Jazz only wanted to confront his ex, Russell, over his cheating. Instead, he meets the adorably awkward Michael and becomes a murder suspect. Soon Jazz is teaming up with Michael to clear his name. Along the way, they are helped and hindered by Michael’s sassy assistant, Kitty, the grumpy Sheriff Musgrave, Russell’s creepy PR rep, Norbert, and Michael’s lothario grandfather, who likes his manhattans strong and his women saucy. And of course, Mr. Pickles Furryton the Third….

In the event that you confront the issues like untimely discharge, erectile dysfunction, sex stamina, etc., however, people mostly fall in the trap of deceiving levitra samples ads and fake cases. All these herbs in right dosage play a vital role to increase sperm count. super cialis Just follow 50mg generic viagra the above tips, and enjoy the road to other martial arts and how to really make them work. I love every single character in this book; they are fun and hexcentric, yet they can solve two different crimes. Michael is the typical nerd; interpersonal skills are almost nil, and he feels nervous every time he talks to Jazz. Jazz is incredibly sweet to him; he knows Michael is special, and their attraction is immediate. Both dance around each other awkwardly and I can’t help but feel sorry for them, since it seems that every time they go out on a date, something happens to interrupt it. My favorite example is when they are going out to lunch and Michael’s grandfather invites himself to their table. If that wasn’t bad enough, they notice a group of gulls fighting over something and the object lands in Jazz and Michael’s guacamole. It turns out to be a finger.

Michael and Jazz clash a lot with the local sheriff, partly because he speaks about their relationship in a crass manner. It is rather amusing to see how the three act around each other.

Jazz is very supportive of Michael, and Michael still has a hard time believing that Jazz is not going to freak out about his work. He has been hurt several times because of this. A perfect example of Jazz’s compassion and love for Michael is when Mr. Pickles is catnapped. Michael loved that cat like he is a member of his family and finds it hard to go through his day. Jazz and Michael’s assistant Ezra look everywhere while Michael works. Yet when Michael plays his voicemail he learns that the drug runners have catnapped Mr. Pickles.

All three men are worried about the case, the clues and persons of interest are many and they are worried another body will turn up. Poor Jazz had to suffer a lot of suspicion because he is new to the town and he had a relationship with Russell and Dylan.

I had to laugh at how awkward Michael is at the beginning of their relationship and how Jazz tries to put him at ease. When they go on a date on the boardwalk, they play truth or dare to learn more about each other. One of the dares was for the two of them to get a picture of them as if they were on a book cover. Jazz suggested the bodice ripper which makes Michael blush.

The lust for each other is always with them. They both suffer erections at the worst of times and their minds come up with all sorts of kinky images. When they do make love, the fireworks between them surprises Jazz. He didn’t think Michael would be such a lion in bed.

I won’t give the ending away but is not what I expected, that is for sure. I hope there will be more books in this series. I love the characters and the plot is well developed. I want to see how their relationship develops, and maybe see if other characters find love along the way. It’s a fun and witty novel for those that like a little heat in their mystery.

Can a wealthy but bored businessman rescue a tortured musician from his self-imposed purgatory with a scorching kinky romance?

When Rene Conette attends an intimate performance at a local bar, the guitarist moves him enough that he attempts to go backstage but is stymied by the man’s bodyguard. Putting it down as not meant to be, he goes on with his life only to run into the man again, late at night at a bookstore.

Gavin Turner used to be a famous musician until an obsessed fan kidnapped and tortured him. Then it came out that he was into the BDSM lifestyle, and the court of public opinion ravaged him. He lost his Master and his self-confidence. Now he hides behind his ink and his bodyguards, who make sure he doesn’t come into contact with anyone or anything he doesn’t want to. Though it’s been years since he satisfied his needs, he doesn’t think he can trust again.

If Rene can work his way past Gavin’s defenses, they might find they complement each other perfectly.

Rene was a man used to getting his own way and with plenty of money to back his desires up. After getting a tip, he discovers an unusually talented musician in a tiny club and is astonished when not only is he not introduced to this intriguing man, but Rene is summarily turned away. Gavin had worked hard to get his life to where he could cope. A complicated man, the musician doesn’t take his talent or life for granted. But Rene isn’t a man used to being told no and Gavin doesn’t really want to turn the sexy man away.

I really enjoyed this emotional story. Gavin had been brutally hurt in the past and I was pleased the author managed to strongly convey that without being too graphic or overly descriptive about it. It helped me understand much of Gavin’s reticence and self-imposed hermitage, but also explained the slower pace of the romance that blossomed between Gavin and Rene. A fast, wham-bam-thank-you-ma’am style of romance would have been completely at odds with the complicated and hurtful past that Gavin had. I also was really impressed with the gradual learning of Gavin and his history – there was no massive info-dump and so as Rene pieced things together so did I as a reader. I felt this helped both progress the plot and relationship between the two men, but more importantly kept the pace fast enough to retain my interest but slow enough that it didn’t feel to me like they were forced or rushed into anything.

The sex was steamy, fairly kinky and really well written. Sean Michael does kink superlatively in my opinion and I really loved how in this story there’s a really lovely balance between the kink and deep emotional connection between Gavin and Rene. I felt the level of trust the two men built was really complimented by their shared attraction to the BDSM lifestyle and while they didn’t jump right into the deep end with whips and chains, there was always that chemistry and smaller aspects from the beginning between them (Gavin calling Rene “sir” a few times unconsciously, or Rene calling Gavin a “beautiful bottom boy” as a strong compliment). The understanding was there like a live electrical current between them, but there was no rush to jump right in and I enjoyed watching the relationship – sexual and emotional – grow and deepen.

A strong story with some really interesting secondary characters (I would adore a threesome story or sequel revolving around Dev and Silas) and a bucket load of emotion, this is a great full length read. I will be happily going back to this story for many a re-read in the future.

Police officer Jordan and dragon shifter Edra might have to work together, but they don’t trust each other—even if sparks do fly between them.

If anyone finds out Jordan’s a mytho sympathizer, it could kill his career. No one can know that he frequents the satyr dens and uses the drug Bliss. A dead satyr might not get much attention, but two dead humans who appeared to overdose on Bliss? That shouldn’t even be possible.

Edra, Mythological Services Liaison, has been covering up mytho crimes to protect the community’s reputation. With a mayoral election looming, the last thing his people need is a scandal.

To get a murderer off the streets, Jordan and Edra will be spending a lot of time together, and it won’t be easy to keep up with their deceptions… or to keep resisting each other.

The world is a mess and it’s up to a dragon shifter and a cop to sort it all out. Throw in problems with drugs and you’ve got the makings of a great story.

The characters are well developed and I enjoyed how they interacted. Jordan has two different sides– the cop side and the the side that wants a relationship. He also enjoys dressing up in lingerie during his off hours. Edra is fighting the connection, not because Jordan is human but because he wants an actual relationship. It was a ton of fun watching them banter back and forth and try not to fall into each other’s arms. It’s fun to see how the dragon culture is different from human’s. For example, in dragon culture, kissing on the lips is much more intimate. Dragons use a kiss to see if they will be able to become mates. I enjoyed the world-building because the author seamlessly added in the mythical creatures.

This world view shows how bad discrimination can be–anyone that is different is considered dangerous and animals. The cops don’t investigate vandalism, stealing, and even a murder of a satyr. I loved how Jordan does everything he can to earn the trust of the Mythos creatures even though it could kill his career. He starts to see how horrible it is to live as a Mytho. He allows himself to become friends with Edra and the group of satyrs. He has to be careful how he approaches the crimes as the police would get suspicious that he is a mythos supporter. Edra, a lesser dragon, is a knight, a position that is a lot like the police. He kept the peace between the different creatures, enforcing the laws. This allows Edra to trust Jordan faster. He wants to be Jordan’s mate, so he is unable to give into his lust. I also loved how much support Edra gets from all the creatures along with the slow trust Jordan is earning. I enjoy how Jordan and Edra’s relationship slowly developed instead of jumping into bed right away.

There is one thing that I wish could have been changed, but I also know why it was done. The ending was very abrupt, drawing you into wanting to read the next in series.

Hot dragon shifters and hot police officers make for a wonderful read. I would suggest this book to anyone that loves dragons and hot men.

Dane never wanted the inn, but when it’s threatened, he steps up to defend it… and keep the man he’s coming to love by his side and in his life. But first they’ll have to clean up Dane’s uncle’s mess.

Dane had taken a few hard knocks in life, but nothing shocked him more when his father reconnected with Dane’s uncle. Wanting a fresh start, Dane’s father asks Dane to go and check this near-stranger out and make sure it’s a suitable place for them to set down some roots. Brook had worked at the inn for his entire career and was not thrilled to be babysitting what he expected would be a spoiled little city boy who would waste both their time. Dane and Brook soon both discover neither of them had been right in their assumptions.

I found this to be a really interesting, character-driven M/M romance. Both Dane and Brook’s characters appealed to me almost immediately, and while I wasn’t convinced for some time that they’d make a great long-term couple, I desperately wanted to see them both come together, interact and fall in love. The plot isn’t very complicated and while I found it interesting, I personally feel that the real hero of the story is the relationship that flourishes between Dane and Brook, and the beach-side setting. Readers looking for an intensely hot and heavy story probably won’t feel there’s enough spice in the relationship between the two men, but personally I felt that their slower pace and more steamy (rather than sexy) romance really suited the slow town and beachy setting.

I enjoyed the strong cast of secondary characters – Dane’s best friend, Grady, in particular. I also was quite surprised but really pleased that Dane’s father (who is off-screen and serving out the last bit of his jail term) also was a very strong character influencing the entire story. It’s been quite a while since I can recall reading a book where a character who isn’t even on the stage was both lifelike and strongly influential in a story and that is a major credit to the author’s talent that they made Dane’s father so memorable.

Equal parts sweet and sensual, I thoroughly enjoyed this story and can strongly recommend it. While there’s no lingering single characters, I’d actually really like a follow-up story, maybe showing Dane and Brook a few years down the track after the ending of this story. This is one of those rare stories where the moment I finish it I feel wistful, wishing equally that there was more left to read and also wanting to immediately go back to the start and experience it all over again from page one. A really excellent read and one I feel is well worth every moment lost to it.

After surviving an abusive childhood, Vulcan remade himself upon arriving in Los Angeles, California. He became a blacksmith for the paranormal community and strives to earn the respect of the vampire covens and werewolf packs that call LA home. He also prevents the pain of loss by keeping everyone at arm’s length.

But he never planned on meeting a former Roman soldier by the name of Marcus Cassius Vespillo. Something sparks between them and turns into a friendship he never considered possible. He can’t deny his intense attraction to the intelligent, courteous, ancient vampire. And it scares him.

Though Vulcan is wary of seeking more with Cassius, an attack leaves him at death’s door and forces him to reexamine his priorities. But Cassius has his own secret, one that promises tragedy and loss. And if that wasn’t enough, a slayer arrives in the States, one with a bloody connection to Cassius… and Vulcan himself.

Meet Vulcan, a human blacksmith who makes beautiful metal work for the paranormal community. He did not have a happy childhood; his father was an alcoholic and abused him. He ran away at sixteen and was saved from a life on the streets by Dane. He was the one to teach Vulcan his craft and the lessons for dealing with the customers. Then Vulcan loses Dane, the man he considered to be a father-figure, in a suspicious manner. He now holds everyone at arm’s length so he cannot be hurt again.

Vulcan’s need to keep people away is challenged when he meets a Roman Soldier named Cassius. He is the oldest vampire that Vulcan has ever met. His curiosity gets the better of him, and they have a long and deep conversation about what the Roman Empire was really like. Vulcan lets his guard down a little, as history is one of his weak points. The attraction that Vulcan feels makes him uncomfortable but he can’t help developing a friendship with Cassius. After an attack where Vulcan was badly injured, their relationship becomes stronger. They become lovers, and are trying to keep each other safe since there is a Slayer who is after both of them.

This is a wonderful book, more relationship driven then plot driven. Vulcan is a well-developed character that I couldn’t help falling in love with. He is strong, yet lonely because he’s trying not to form relationships. The author does a good job of managing the flashbacks of his father’s abuse. It was fun to see how Cassius slipped through all of the walls Vulcan put up. I could tell when they first met that they were meant to be together. It was fun to see how protective and possessive Cassius became if anyone tried to hurt him or interrupted their alone time. Cassius has the patience to slowly court Vulcan, as well.

The descriptions of the environment, the life of Los Angeles makes me feel like I was there. The best part for me was when Vulcan was attacked. Cassius’s feelings come through loud and clear. After that Cassius is direct with Vulcan–he wants him for himself no matter what. The intimate scenes between the two are tastefully done, sweet and loving.

I would have liked the author to have kept the pace of the story. It starts out slow but steady, then all of a sudden it picks up. I also thought throwing in the Slayer that killed Dane and whom Cassius had nearly killed before doesn’t seem to quite fit in. It would have been better if that part was more built up.

The devotion that is shown between the two of them, the wonderful descriptions of scenery the sweet and strong relationships makes this a wonderful book. If you love vampires, werewolves, and other paranormal creatures this is a story for you.

Carter hated his job – or more specifically his totally horrid boss – and found himself floundering at work and unable to hold onto a relationship with another man. A chance encounter at the grocery store has Carter left in possession of a tiny fluff of a puppy – and his life is irretrievably changed.

I really enjoyed this fun and friendly story. Filled with loads of emotion and humour it was a real breath of fresh air for me. I usually find pet stories hit and miss – either the pet side of the plot consumes the story and I feel like the romance isn’t shown enough, or the exact opposite where the pet plot is virtually forgotten. I thought this story struck a really good balance between the two, largely because Sandy worked at the vet’s office and so large aspects of Carter needing help with Freckles included Sandy too and helped showcase their blossoming relationship.

I found both Carter and Sandy to be interesting and relatable characters. While their romance grew quite slowly I found it realistic, understandable and very sweet. Readers who are happy for a slower-pace in the sizzle department should find this a lovely story focused on the characters and on Freckles working her way into Carter’s affections and poor Carter finding his whole life turned inside-out. I had to laugh – my sister is a lawyer and some of Carter’s reactions (drawing up a contract for his dog-walker while making soup and the dog-walker got to know Freckles as a classic example) made me laugh, because while cheesy and seemingly silly – my sister would TOTALLY do that herself, just off the cuff and because as a lawyer it’s second nature to her.

So I have major kudos for Ms. Lane in creating relatable, realistic and fun characters and breathing some real life into this story. I absolutely enjoyed it and would strongly recommend it. With a lovely slow-burn style of romance and a gorgeous itsy little puppy I can’t imagine anyone not loving this story like I did.

These factors play an important role and also have effect on cialis overnight too. When he meets his roommate’s friend Emil, he begins to reconsider. Is a chance at romance with the gorgeous man—and fellow bibliophile—incentive enough for Kuba to face his demons?

World of Love: Stories of romance that span every corner of the globe.

Jakub is content with his life in the Czech Republic. He has a job in the city, a few friends and a good room-mate. While Jakub is wistful about the small number of his friends, his social anxiety prevents him from going out more. Jakub’s room-mate introduces him to Emil, a fellow book-lover and the two men made an instant friendship based on their similarities. Can Jakub and Emil build something lasting together?

I enjoyed this short story. I admit I don’t know much about the Czech Republic and so my interest was piqued to read an M/M set in this country. While there wasn’t a huge amount of descriptions of the city, I did enjoy learning about a few of the different parks and how people go about their normal lives. The whole setting of the story gave a different vibe and I enjoyed the fact it didn’t feel like “just another metropolitan city” that could have been anywhere.

I also found the slower-moving friendship, then romance, between Jakub and Emil to be well written. I was particularly pleased that Jakub didn’t simply “overcome” his anxiety issues and jump from being a quiet, shy guy and suddenly into a massive flirt or social butterfly once he felt attracted to Emil. I enjoyed watching Emil – and Jakub’s two main other friends – slowly help ease Jakub into the small social settings and be caring and understanding about his issues. While these concerns of Jakub could have crippled him, he didn’t let them hold him back, which I loved. And the bibliophile within me loved how Jakub and Emil progressed much of their friendship by exchanging some of their favourite books. They each started meeting up semi-regularly to lend the other a treasured book and I found that really lovely.

Admittedly, readers looking for a hot-and-heavy, intensely erotic story won’t find that here, but there is plenty of characterization, and a lovely slow, easy drop from friendship and shared mutual interests and into love. I thought it quite realistic how Emil and Jakub just gradually wove their respective lives together, and thought it was very sweet – and healthy – how Emil encouraged Jakub to try and be more self-confidant and not rely solely on Emil for his happiness. There were a number of small, supportive and caring things like this between Emil and Jakub that really showed me the depth of their caring for each other and helped show me their relationship wasn’t just one built on lust or convenience, but that they truly cared about each other’s well-being.

I found this a well-rounded story with a good pace and interesting characters. I’d happily try this author again in the future.

But a lot can change in fifteen years, and when they meet again at their high school reunion, Clay is no longer the big man on campus, and Kevin isn’t hiding in a corner anymore.

Can they put aside who they were? Can one night really lead to forever?

Back in high school Kevin was the quiet nerd, while Clay was the handsome jock. Their worlds never crossed. But at their high school reunion the two men find they have more in common than they ever dreamed. Can one special night turn into a lifetime?

I enjoyed this ultra-short story and found it completely relatable. High school reunions are fraught with disasters at the best of times. People you haven’t seen in ages – often on purpose – and all sorts of baggage from the history and people wanting to prove themselves. I enjoyed the fact that this was exactly where Kevin found himself – wanting to prove there was more than the quiet, gay teenager in him, particularly now he was all grown up and comfortable with his life. I also felt a fair bit of sympathy for Clay, who had seemingly had everything at his fingertips in high school but never quite managed to make his dreams come to fruition. No matter where you sit on the whole “reunions are great/evil incarnate” fence I feel Clay and Kevin cover both ends of the spectrum and this helped really balance the story for me, making it feel as if the author was showing how both paths could be taken.

I thought the pacing of the story was excellent too. Although extremely short, Clay and Kevin don’t simply catch each other’s eyes and jump right into bed. This wouldn’t have been very believable to me – particularly since they didn’t have much to do with each other in high school and hadn’t kept in touch in the intervening decade – but I could have understood the temptation to cram as much sexiness into the short page count as possible. The slower pace let me really feel the building tension and sexual chemistry between the two men and while there is a “Happy For Now” ending with no actual sexual intimacy – I feel only readers looking for a strongly erotic story will find the chemistry between Clay and Kevin to not be steamy enough. I also thought it was excellent how the author managed to make the story more than just about two men who had known each other as teens and grown up – there was a small plot twist I didn’t see coming and that really freshened the story for me and made me even more eager to continue reading.

Steamy and sensual, this is a fun short story that I found plenty to like about. A good author I shall happily try again in the future.

This left enough time for me to really believe in their connection and see where the relationship was heading without making it feel like the pace dragged, nor rushing in so fast I just couldn’t find it believable. This balance was done perfectly and I eagerly devoured the pages watching these two men come together.

There was a small group of very strong secondary characters (I’d love to read a story about Kenn’s best friend, Tim!) and while they didn’t number very many it was enough to round out the story and have it not feel like the university was a little bubble hidden away from the rest of the world. There’s a delicious amount of kink in this story – but David and Kenneth ease themselves into that aspect of the story carefully and I feel it’s very tastefully written. I feel this would be a good starting place for erotica readers who want to delve into the fictional world of BDSM but aren’t sure they want to read anything too over the top or that push the boundaries too much. There is some slit-play, rimming, plugs and piercings but David and Kenneth discuss safety and their limits and other items in what I found to be an interesting way – so it didn’t just feel to me as the reader like they were checking boxes, but actually discussing what they were each comfortable with and what they wanted to explore.

The “crazy ex” plotline was decent, but a little clichéd for my personal tastes. I definitely felt it added a bit of drama and conflict but I could have been equally satisfied had that sub-plot not been there. I feel there was a lot of conflict simply between Dave and Kenn entering their relationship and testing the waters between them as they became intimate.

I enjoyed this story – with oodles of sex, lots of chemistry and interesting characters who I became invested in. I really wanted to know what happened next and that made this a brilliant story for me, and one I know I’ll enjoy reading many times again in the future.

Derek had worked construction with his best friend since the beginning. The company might bear his best friend’s name, but Derek had invested more than just time, sweat and energy into it, his heart was there too. Taking on a renovation project for Owen Hensely started as routine for Derek, but the two polar opposite men hit it off immediately. Both Owen and Derek have complicated pasts, but as their attraction deepens they’re both willing to face their respective demons if it means their future together can be bright.

I really enjoyed this slow-paced romance story. I found both Owen and Derek to be drawn as complex, deep characters with a rich history and plenty of normal baggage in their pasts. With a strong cast of vibrant secondary character this book felt layered and quite rich to me. There’s plenty of conflict between Derek and his parents, as well as Owen’s lingering trauma from his abusive father. While there’s plenty of family drama, I was pleased this really left things open for Owen and Derek’s growing relationship to be a strong, positive light that really made the romance bloom in this story.

Filled with vibrant and wonderful characters, oodles of family drama and a cheerful, slow-building and loving romance this is a lovely story that I really enjoyed. I found the pace very slightly too slow for my personal liking, but I can’t really fault the author for wanting to take their time introducing the reader to all the complexities of Owen and Derek’s lives and showing the two men slowly merging their single lives into a joint relationship. It’s clear from the outset that the two men are attracted and watching that initial surge grow into something deep and lasting is just lovely. While there are a few erotic sex scenes I feel it’s very clear that the romance between Derek and Owen, and particularly the integration of their lives and friendships was central to the story. The sex is explicit, but not the main thrust of the story and I was perfectly comfortable with that.

With an interesting and well-drawn plot, loads of lovely characters and a delicious romance, I feel this is a great story that has pretty much everything I need from a good read. Recommended.
