Kaito has always been attracted to werewolves of the opposite gender — until he meets his new sign language tutor, a flamboyant wolf named Stefan.

As Kaito struggles with his own sexuality, Stefan starts to feel like an experiment. Can their love thrive or will Kaito’s indecision push them apart?

Kaito had always been attracted to women, until he meets Stefan. Having requested to be placed in the immersion sign language class Kaito is pleased but puzzled when Stefan is assigned to assist him and help teach him. Now questioning his sexuality, Kaito is confused and trying to sort his emotions out, but Stefan is beginning to feel like he’s simply an experiment. Can these two men learn to communicate together properly before it’s too late?

I found this an interesting and well plotted short story. Even though both Kaito and Stefan were in college and adults this story had a bit of a YA feel to me, personally. I think this was in large part because Kaito was still clearly learning and discovering who he was – for his career as well as his sexuality. I think the fact we followed along as he learned both sign language as well as the basics of being a tracker and all the responsibility and meaning that has in this story’s paranormal world meant this came across to me as a bit of a coming-of-age style of story. I found Stefan’s character to be well researched and quite relatable, and while I admit I don’t know much about the deaf community it felt to me like the author did an excellent job and had done her homework when it came to this aspect of the story as a whole.

There are a number of various paranormal creatures at the college – not just werewolves – so I feel readers who enjoy a rich paranormal world and lots of various entities should find this story quite satisfying. While the main thrust of the story is around Kaito and Stefan – and therefore werewolves – I was surprised and pleased by the other creatures and felt it really added a strong element to the story and helped really sell the world-building and paranormal aspect of the world in general. Although it takes quite some time for Stefan and Kaito to become intimate – and it mostly happens off screen – I feel that fits perfectly with the story, both with Kaito’s uncertainty and Stefan not wanting to merely be an experiment or passing fancy. If readers are willing to explore and move along with Kaito and Stefan as they both learn more about each other and themselves then I feel readers will be happy with the pacing of the story and I know I personally found it exactly right.

A good, short coming of age style of story about two interesting men discovering who they are. With great world building and a strong cast of supporting characters this was a good read and an author I will happily try again.

In fear for her life, Emma is determined to protect her students at all costs. But while danger lurks closer, she flashes back to meeting her beloved husband.

Zac won’t stop until Emma’s safe, and Emma will do what she has to in order to protect her students. Will their love affair meet a tragic end or will they get their happily ever after?

Zac and Emma are happily married and deeply in love. When Zac gets a call that Emma – a teacher – is in a lockdown situation at her school he rushes to meet her. Both Zac and Emma flash back to their first meeting, can they get to each other in time?

This is a really different but thoroughly enjoyable story. I was absolutely surprised that I enjoyed the heavily flash-back style of plotline but somehow the author really made it work for me. I feel this won’t be a number of readers cup of tea. For starters there is a school lockdown due to an active shooter emergency and that could definitely be a trigger for some readers. The tension overall and student’s fear – as well as Emma’s fear and strong desire to protect her students – is I feel very tastefully and well written but I could completely understand if it’s simply a bit much (or too close to reality) for some readers. So this definitely won’t be for everyone. Also I feel – like myself – many readers might shy away from a romance that is centered more on recollections of the past and how Emma and Zac came to be together, rather than focusing on their present or future plans. It’s an odd way of writing a romance story and while I was skeptical at first, I really found it to be quite enjoyable.

Readers who can look past the fact that much of the relationship-building – and intimacy – in this story is told in flash-backs and text conversations should find like I did that this is an intense and wonderful story of two people determined to stay with each other and live a long, happy life together despite the odds.

Finally, I was amused – and curious – about Zac’s relationship with his brothers and found their banter and communications a delight to read. I’d absolutely pick up more stories about this family and am intrigued enough to look further into this author.

Wedding Photographer Chloe Hart has just been dumped when she receives a mysterious gift — a painting of a handsome knight in a heavy gold frame worked with what appear to be magical sigils. She promptly hangs the painting up in place of her cheating ex-boyfriend’s portrait.

He seduces her in a red-hot encounter that makes her forget all about ol’ what’s his name. The next night, Radolf is back, this time as the captain of a pirate ship. Night after night, Radolf and Chloe act out some deliciously erotic scene from her favorite guilty-pleasure romance novels. And every single dream seems utterly real, down to the last scent and taste.

Even as the two begin to fall in love, a new and horrible fear grips Radolf: what will the witch do to Chloe?

Chloe was determined to bounce back after a fairly brutal breakup – and when a mysterious stranger gives her an enticing oil painting of Lord Randolf of Varik the handsome, semi-naked Viking Knight whose image is captured, it’s all the distraction she could possibly hope for. The painting – and the handsome Viking – soon invades her dreams and subconscious as much as her waking hours. Will Chloe and Randolf be able to sort this magic out?

I really enjoyed this steamy and sensual romance novel. While the plotline isn’t very original, I found Chloe to be a relatable and modern character I could easily connect with. I was also really pleased that there was plenty of plot and not just sex between Randolf and Chloe. The author really fleshed out the tricky situation he found himself in and the trappings of his curse – I was so glad it wasn’t just some shady, ill-defined “cursed by a witch and the spell needs breaking” mention that didn’t really get explored. It helped me feel a better connection to Randolf and understand the misery and difficulty of his situation.

This story had a solid and well-defined plot and while it’s fairly magical and other-worldly, I feel readers who enjoy paranormal and faintly historical/magical styles of storyline should find it really appealing. While there is plenty of intimacy between Randolf and Chloe there is also a good balance of plot and discussions outside of the bedroom so I feel readers looking for a book that makes them think and sigh should really find this satisfying.

Readers looking for a fun and sexy book with a strong plot and a strong hint of magical twists should really enjoy this quick read.

Kelly is looking for some serious money to pay off her loan, and from what she hears stripping is one of the fastest way to make it. When Martin makes her an offer Kelly is tempted enough to take him up on it. Despite the age gap between them is she willing to risk her heart or will she give in and walk away?

I found this to be an interesting short story. While I felt there wasn’t initially really any chemistry between Kelly and Martin I did enjoy the slow burn as they each came to appreciate and grow more attached to each other. While the deal Martin offered Kelly really did seem too good to be true (and needs a healthy dose of suspending logic and disbelief) as a plot device it was great and certainly put both Kelly and Martin exactly in the right positioning for the rest of the story to flow smoothly.

I was pleased with the slower pace of the romance growing between Kelly and Martin – it helped that the author sprinkled in a lot of plot between the three Malachi brothers and let things progress at a more realistic and natural pace. There’s a bit of BDSM and light kink between Kelly and Martin that readers who like their stories a bit on the spicier side should enjoy. I didn’t feel anything too envelope-pushing was included and readers used to modern erotic stories should find it spicy and explicit but not too much.

With an intricate plot and some very sexy shenanigans I found this to be a fun and interesting quick read. I’ll be very interested in the next installment (revolving around another brother, I suspect) and will keep an eye out for it.

What he doesn’t count on is the insanely gorgeous Light Fae who nearly takes his head off with a sword.

This is a super short story that I found fun and hot. Told in the first-person perspective by Neola, her sexy friends-with-benefits style relationship with Kalen while she goes running in the park each night is steaming hot from the first few pages. Simple but compelling this is one of those rare books where I found myself with still a few questions at the end of the book but not minding that the whole story wasn’t clearly laid out and each dangling thread tied away.

While Kalen is a wolf-shifter he appears to be more than that, able to take on many different human faces. What, exactly, Kalen is doesn’t get fully resolved but I found that the intensity of this ultra-short story made up for the fact we never really have that explained.

I adored Neola’s character and the strength she showed when the precarious balance she and Kalen had found in their relationship together was threatened. I felt this quick story had an excellent resolution and, while there isn’t really very much plot to it, I found this fast story satisfying and enjoyable to read. The only consistency to these dreams is the man she calls “The Watcher.” After another night of frustration, The Watcher arrives at her door, in the flesh. Luc, a demon Mare, is the source of all her problems.

Could he also be her salvation?

Joelle has been dreaming for months about a man she calls “The Watcher” and the end of the world. It’s not until The Watcher ends up on her doorstep that she realizes not only is he – Luc – real but so too are her dreams.

I found this to be an interesting and fresh paranormal story. While the romance and blossoming lust between Luc and Joelle felt a little fast for me personally, this disappointment was more than made up for with the plotline itself which I found to be refreshingly different and full of good imagination. Luc is known as a Mare – a sub-set of demon who sends and controls nightmares. I found this and the plotline surrounding Joelle and her long-standing nightmares of the world literally burning around her and herself unable to help anyone really different and interesting.

I feel readers who enjoy paranormal-based stories, especially erotic and explicit ones, should find this a lovely breath of fresh air. While I felt the relationship growing between Joelle and Luc started out a little predictably around the half-way mark of the story there was a lovely twist which I feel really helped pick up the pace of the story – and Luc and Joelle’s relationship in particular.

There were quite a few balls up in the air plot-wise for the author to juggle and a part of me felt with the short length of the story and the different plots winding together this detracted time and space for the romance between Luc and Joelle. I also was a little conflicted in that Luc walked a pretty fine line between being a bad-boy or anti-hero style of character, and being something not actually really a hero at all. I found his feelings and attachment to Joelle believable, but when we discover some of the stuff he’s done in the past I had trouble with balancing his real nature as a demon and his actions in not caring about taking advantage and seriously mentally damaging vulnerable strangers. While I feel it’s crazy to expect a demon to be full of glitter and rainbows, I’m also not sure I’m comfortable reading about our “hero” victimizing strangers who aren’t able to defend or protect themselves. It was hard for me to push that aside and try to see Luc as a hero after that.

The second half of the story moved at a lovely fast pace – the plot and the romance really amped up and I feel if readers stick with the story until this stage they should definitely find both the plot and the relationship growing between Luc and Joelle really satisfying.

A little bit darker and edgier than the usual erotic romance stories I read, with a vivid paranormal world and some really refreshingly different aspects to the plot, this is a good story in a number of ways with a few flaws as well. I feel lots of readers should really enjoy it and particularly those looking for a fresh take on demon-based romance stories.

Her name is, of all things, Kitty, and I’ve been watching her from a distance. I just didn’t realize she was a highly trained athlete in the body of a young, beguiling, innocent woman. Everything about her calls to my protective instincts. Especially when I find her putting herself in the hands of the very tormentor who broke my sister.

Among the most common factors deeprootsmag.org viagra soft which may be killing your erection include the following, to take action on: 1. Tobias is another fun installment of the series and once again, I was thoroughly entertained. This novelette is big on romance and light on angst or dark drama. It’s a bedroom/shower door wide open kind of heat level with “back door play, fluff lovin’ and a dominant, experienced older man showing the ropes to a very innocent but enthusiastic novice” type of story. Since there are SO many words I can’t put in reviews now, it’s very hard to avoid purple prose to describe the steamy hot antics that go along with this genre. Rest assured, Ms. Karland knows her craft.

Tobias was a take charge kind of guy, which is to be expected when a man is part of an MC. Readers need to be reminded that profanity and growly gruff language is to be expected. Tobias is especially gifted in that department.

Kitty is young in age but not in life experience. To strive to reach Olympics’ level of any sport, an athlete has to have grit, determination, a high pain tolerance and the wherewithal to persevere when the going gets tough. The heroine has been dealt a bad hand and tries to figure it out on her own, but when the people she trusts fail her, she’s at her lowest point. Yet she’s stubborn and refuses to give up. It’s that spunky nature that attracts Tobias, but it’s the surprisingly protective instinct that wakes up inside him that propels him to take action. The pace of the romance speeds up from there, giving me everything I look forward to in a romance story.

The villain of the piece isn’t a large presence. He does provoke the plot conflict and that part is effective. There are a few scenes with him that don’t exactly mesh with his actions later on, or with his history that I learn about later in the book. There is this big buildup of a showdown, then …. Yeah, Tobias felt the same way I did. In a weird way, how it all went down has a humorous backdrop to it. Yes, it was serious, but the author chose to keep the upbeat romance front and center and not be sidelined by a plot conflict that easily could have overshadowed Tobias and Kitty.

Overall, I’m very pleased with this story. I seem to always have a good time when I visit with Ms. Karland’s MC characters and Tobias and company bring with them that element of an MC family. Strong, noble, not afraid to get down and dirty, and even a bit bloody, and always have each other’s backs when the going gets tough. That’s the kind of community that Kitty will thrive in and with Tobias, their happily-ever-after is off to a firecracker of a start.
