Zach Kelly is an organized man. First comes career, as a pro football player. Then comes education — he’s just finished his Masters in History. Now it’s time for a family, so he sets out to find Denny, the boy he’s loved since they were kids. But the Denny he finds, clutching a bottle of tequila, is not the boy he remembers…

Sometimes the one thing you think you can’t have, is the one person you absolutely need.

I love stories of lost love found again. Sarah Black is good for stories that not only tug at the heartstrings, but have a sexy streak as well. This one does both and makes the reader think. The characters aren’t run-of-the-mill and it’s a nice change. The story is unique and I enjoyed reading it.

Zach is a conundrum. He’s a football player and feels as if being himself isn’t always the answer. Sure, his team knows he’s gay, but it’s not the only thing that makes him who he is. He’s got a brain to go with the brawn. I liked the unusual combination. He’s got a protective streak a country mile wide and it’s nice to see. It’s not that he needs to protect everyone, but more the ones he loves. When he sets his sights on the one that got away, it’s powerful.

The one thing that was both exciting and needed a little bit, was Denny. I liked his character, but I wanted to see him more fleshed out. There were times when I wasn’t sure whose POV I was in, and I wanted to know more about him. Denny is a bookseller and flash fiction author. For me, this was a first in a book, and I wanted to know more about it. What made him tick? How did he get into writing FF and what made him flighty? These things are touched on, but I wanted more.

Still, the love scnes are hot and written with care. I had to check my screen for singe marks because it was so steamy. Definitely worth a second, third, and fourth read.

If you want a story that’s a little left of center in a great way, then you need to read Big Balls and Trouble. I give it 3 cherries.

I salivate waiting for the next Mychael Black story to come out. I know I’m always in for a good time and a great read. This book is no different. The characters are exciting and flawed in their own ways, which makes them relatable. Although the story is short, I felt like I was right there with them figuring out what had happened and how it would end.

On that note, this is a short story. Things move quick. It’s got great pacing, but there were moments when I wanted more. AJ has some serious issues and skeletons in his closet to deal with. This is alluded to, but I, being a detail oriented person, wanted more details.

Still, I devoured the story in one sitting and came back for another reading right away. I’ll happily recommend this book to friends because Mychael Black’s werewolves are darned hot to read about. Where can I find one of my own?

Kilana knows what her eyes are telling her can’t be true.

There’s a naked man in her bed and he’s glowing. And then there are the solid black eyes, the floating several feet above the bed, and the most damning of all… he has antennas.

The newly divorced Kilana thinks she’s seeing things, but when he opens his mouth and tells her he’s hunting humans and his intentions are to devour her, Kilana knows she has an alien problem.

But who will help her get away from the admittedly sexy creature that wants her pleasured and fattened until her flavor is perfect? Maybe her hair-brained friends Se and Lena can help her avoid the big suppertime cut…

Or maybe she’s on her own with the drooling, leering, orgasm-delivering fiend. And maybe dating an alien won’t turn out to be as big a problem as she thinks.

The aliens have landed and the hunt is on. Stephanie Burke’s How Not to Date an Alien is a comedic gem, not to be missed. A delightful how-to guide detailing the pitfalls of dating an alien, and how best to overcome them. Stephanie Burke has found the perfect balance of comedy and intrigue, and uses both deftly to not only tell an enthralling story, but also to impart such wisdom as: the correct way to count to ten and the simultaneously reassuring and disturbing fact that it is only the Greens who use anal probes.

After a night on the town with her friends Lena and Se, celebrating Kilana’s divorce, the last thing Kilana expected to find when she awoke was a strange man in her bed. This starts Kilana on her own Alice like journey, but rather than going down the rabbit hole she enters her own life seeing things as for the first time.

Kilana’s journey teaches her some universal truths, like true friends don’t care if you’re dating an alien, they are just happy your having sex. But do make sure none of the cell phone pictures they take end up on the internet. While it is a bit cliched, it is nonetheless very true, that men are universally the same. Valan might be an alien who pilots a ship with an antimatter rocket and more functions and gadgets than we could possibly imagine, but put him behind the wheel of a car and he is every sixteen year old boy who just got his first car. However, her most important lesson is that communication is key, particularly when dating another species. Sex is all well and good and we should all be so lucky as to find a man that has a vibrating, well everything, but it is really important to know what the other person is talking about especially in such a delicate situation.

Stephanie Burke takes you on a fascinating ride combining the strange and everyday in a unique blend that is all her own. When Calla, a dragon shifter, heads to a sleepy mountain town to investigate their recent arson outbreak, she doesn’t expect to come face to face with the dark dragon who killed her mother, or find her destined mate beneath the burning rays of the moon.

Firefighter Scott O’Neil can’t fight his attraction to her, even after he finds out what she is, and the shocking secret of his own past.

When fire investigator Calla Dragos came to investigate a series of mysterious fires in the small mountain town, she wasn’t expecting to find evidence of a dragon. And not just any dragon, but the evil one that killed her mother. And she definitely didn’t expect to meet a man that set her body on fire.

Fire chief Scott O’Neil strikes Calla as exactly the kind of man she doesn’t like: shallow, handsome, a playboy posing for calendars. But the more she is near him, the more she realizes he is a good man, an honorable man. Can Calla keep her secrets safe from Scott? Will Scott believe the truth when he sees it? Are Calla and Scott strong enough to face the black dragon and win? Just what happens when a dragon falls for a fireman?

Amber Kallyn has created an intriguing world, one where dragons and magic exist, but are hidden from mortals. I loved the twists and surprises in this story, especially those concerning the villain and his relationship to Calla and her family. That came as a big surprise to me. The characters are very well developed, and several are not what they seem. I like to be surprised, and this did that quite well. One of the big surprises is the identity of the black dragon terrorizing the town, and how he gained his powers.

Calla is more than just your average arson investigator. She is determined to do her job, even when her family tries to interfere, and she takes risks, with her life and her heart. I liked that she wasn’t going to back down, and was set on proving her abilities.

Scott is an interesting character. He seems so human, but there are hints that he may be more than just human. He is strong, compassionate and sexy as can be. At first, when he sees the dragons, he can’t believe his eyes, but he accepts more easily than most would. When he discovered that there is more in the world than he believed, he adapts to the new reality.

The interaction between Calla and Scott is intense and incendiary. I love this world, and I hope Ms. Kallyn continues to write about the Dragos family, because I would love to read about Calla’s brothers and their adventures. I recommend this for all of the dragon lovers out there, you will not be disappointed.

When a flitter-craft crash lands near Gregory’s lair, the Imperial were-panther doesn’t expect to find an unconscious female dangling from the captain’s harness. Danika is stubborn, feisty and in her first heat cycle.

Claiming Danika as his bond-mate is complicated by the reptilian cyborg who’s been sent to return her to her father’s estate, and an ex-fiancé who just won’t take no for an answer.

Gregory’s life is about to get interesting…

A surprise crash landing brings two people together when they need it the most.

This is a pretty cool short story about a woman running from what is tantamount to slavery. She isn’t blind to the failings of the person she calls mother and isn’t afraid to strike out on her own to be her own person. She just has to survive long enough to get to safety and protection. Danika is the heroine whose intelligence is a given but it’s compromised by her body’s physical demands. In one way, using her nature’s biological needs made it easy for the author to jump right into the heated physical relationship of the story between Danika and the hero, Gregory. It’s easier to accept the sudden wantonness of her character because it’s part of the world building and her species. I appreciated that Ms. Kane had her resisting a bit and had Danika finding her emotional connection to Gregory.

Gregory is a fun hero. He’s not going to allow Danika to deceive herself into thinking that the mate bond isn’t real nor should it be ignored. He’s a man who thought he’d never have a chance at true happiness and it ends up crashing right outside his door. I enjoyed his courting of Danika and his eventual respect for her. This can vary brand cialis from being unable to get an erection, to satisfy both parties involved. In fact, Ms. Kane presents thorough and well worded scenes when it comes to describing their tease and chase courtship as shifted cats. The author showed me clear visuals with the words she chose to illustrate how Gregory’s cat moved and Danika’s reaction to him. The parts where they shifted were pretty cool too. Then I read the scene with the bad guy and his henchmen. Ms. Kane once again used wonderful words that showed me what a slimy worm the guy is and reinforced and justified the heroine’s decision to flee.

On top of that, I was introduced to a secondary character that sounded quite interesting. Just when I thought things couldn’t get better, they do. Sure, they got worse first but that provided some attention grabbing action and drama – enough to keep this reader entertained and committed to wanting Gregory and Danika to survive and get their happily ever after.

Mating Season: Imperial Command is a fast paced short story jam-packed with all the elements that make a romance in space exciting and page turning. It will satisfy readers who like adventure while giving erotic romance fans a treat to remember. It’s a wonderful journey about two people who didn’t think they’d have a chance at true happiness and by accident get everything they ever dreamed. It’s a great tale to spend time with.

I first met Dox who is a person of talent under pressure. He has a unique perspective on things by virtue of his nature. He has feelings he won’t admit to and tries to hide them with some very effective diversions. His drive to survive doesn’t come from the instinct to live alone. I got the sense that he’s capable of much more than he’s willing to share.

Gabriella is Dox’s superior officer and yet I got the sense that she is more. I also felt that she, too, was insecure; not actually in her own feelings but in how they’d be received should she ever reveal them. It’s hard being vulnerable and that’s what I think the internal conflict is; basically it’s the question of trust – the foundation of any solid relationship. The question is, does the crisis that Dox and Gabriella experience build and solidify that trust? A reader will find clues sprinkled throughout the story.

This is a short shot of woo-hoo and for erotic romance readers short on time, this tale packs it all in – drama, emotion, fear, and explosive sensual and unique hybrid-type sex.

My name is Officer Drake. I’m genetically enhanced to be the best damn policeman there is. I can snap a werewolf in two. I can outrun a car. That’s not boasting. Those are the facts.

I’m designed to protect and serve, and when I spot a plush little bunny shifter by the name of Hunny Lapin, that is exactly what I do. I protect her from a strip club owning vampire and serve up her every desire in bed. ‘Course, that lands me in a whole heap of trouble, but it’s nothing I can’t handle. I’m a supercop, remember?

I cannot believe how cute and fun and absolutely delightful reading about a cop falling in love with a were-bunny could be until I read Protect and Serve: Badge Bunny.

This story is told in first person point of view but each chapter takes turns telling it from either Drake or Hunny’s POV. No head hopping in this bunny story. Ms. Sax simply has to have the best sense of humor because her characters come alive in this story with personality, wit and charm. My overall reaction to the story as a whole is that it was cute and huggable. I am amazed that it truly was that entertaining all the way through and even when the action and fighting ensued I still could not stop smiling. I mean when Drake met Uncle Flopsy I was quite impressed because he was a very cool and hip secondary character.

Hunny is endearing. She’s also not afraid to do the right thing which is what gets her in trouble in the first place. Another aspect of her character is that she enjoys role playing and sex and yet she’s a good girl; she just has a very healthy appetite – but for one man. So if you are losing your hair sildenafil generic viagra it would be a good idea to talk to your doctor before you order from a sketchy looking website, keep in mind that these pills aren’t an aphrodisiac. Drake is this mean, bad dude the criminals don’t mess with. I so enjoyed the fact that for all his ferociousness, he cuddles his bunny. At one point Hunny shifts and I have to tell you, the author has an awesome grasp of effective descriptions. I smiled, I oooh’ed and aaah’ed and just felt all warm and fuzzy many times throughout reading about Drakes interactions with his bunny love.

The dialogue is a riot. The puns, the clever quips, the ribald jokes — there is so much fun and entertainment throughout the book I’m in awe of Ms. Sax. Even the verbal sparring between Drake’s partners on the force was funny. And although there was a bad guy and his plan was truly diabolical and sick, the author chose not to sink this story into some sort of depraved romantic suspense story but kept it positive, upbeat and life-affirming. The external conflict pushed the two love bunnies together and united them and I think that is what the book is about – romance. There are so many moments of true romance or romantic moments that it’s sure to please other romance readers too. And when Hunny and Drake do the physical tango, it’s as hot, fun and passionate as an erotic romance reader could wish.

I whole-heartedly recommend reading Protect and Serve: Badge Bunny especially for those readers looking for a quick romance that has a lot of heart and humor. This is a book I’d tell my friends about and hope they‘d read it too just so we could trade quotes and quips back and forth. There were so many fun one-liners and references, it was that enjoyable and even the happily ever after was lighthearted and special. I’m running out of adjectives to express how wowed I am with this book. I adore the author’s voice and am hoping she writes other books with that same sense of style and humor because I want to read those too. I’m a very happy camper and I’m throwing up five cherries into the air in celebration. Protect and Serve: Badge Bunny rocks!
