Drawn in by the title, I was held in thrall by the author’s way with the characters and their emotions. Storm’s Tempest is another wonderfully erotic and intense story from Lacey Savage. There has been no word from him, and she is afraid he will be just another one that she cared about-another one who left. She doesn’t realize what binding means to an elf, even a rebel like Braydon. But after some deep thinking, Katrina decides she has to start believing that she is worthy, that she has friends, people who care about her and aren’t leaving.

When Braydon finally gets back, he discovers that Katrina has built a few of her walls back, but has also made steps to change and accept more from life. I liked getting reacquainted with these characters, and enjoyed watching Katrina slowly open up to some new experiences. It was a delight to watch as she took the first steps toward her new life, and the joy she found in something as simple as picking out paint for her house.

Braydon is still the rebel, the tattooed and pierced elf, but he has lost his heart to Katrina. He is frustrated with each minute he has to delay his journey back to her. I liked watching him grow more in love with her, and his worry was touching in a way. He sends messengers back with news, but doesn’t realize that none of his messages made it to Katrina, thanks to a werewolf uprising of sorts.

Of course, this wouldn’t be a Selena Illyria book without some scorching hot sex, and the reunion of Katrina and Braydon takes the heat to new levels very quickly. I loved that she gained some sass and took some initiative toward the new life she wants with Braydon.

This is a wonderful addition to the Dragon Kin line, and I would love to visit Braydon and Katrina again in the future.

Misunderstandings arise for these men and their own stubbornness gets in the way of what they want. Dougaln is ashamed of his station in life and Reynau is just not familiar with the different customs around him. It’s truly touching to how these men work together to try and come to the same end goal.

I’m not usually a fan of futuristic stories but this story was a good read. The author painted a vivid picture of this space station these men call home. And also, no matter what time and place you find yourself in the world, the matters of the heart are all the same. Adera Orfanelli put together present day issues in a futuristic setting to make a worthwhile read.

What makes this story unique is that there is very little personal detail given, there is simply a man and a woman and one afternoon. This is not a telling of how they met and fell in love, or even a wistful remembering of a great life together as theirs is nearing an end, this is the middle of their story with no beginning and only a hint as to what’s going to come next. Even though no names are used and no indication is given that these two people have ever met before there is a familiarity in the way they talk and how they interact with each other that belays the notion that they are strangers. This is proven to be true when it’s revealed that the couple is married, but other than that no personal information is given about the couple. De was working the bar when Toby walked in, but he’s much more than a simple bartender, or Toby’s introduction to vampires, he is the head of the vampire clan and the owner of the bar.

Kate Steele has breathed new life into the vampire genre combining the best of the old with the best of the new. The fact that the world knows about vampires, and they mostly abide by the societal rules that they don’t bite unless invited, doesn’t make them any less predatory or dangerous. Vampires can, with one bite, still give either excruciating pain or wild pleasure, they can kill you in a room full of people without anyone seeing, they can have you writhing with exquisite pleasure or complete agony with the power of their minds alone. Although I do hold out great hope for the end of this series to be a happily even after, in the meantime I look forward to thoroughly enjoying the ride. Instead of a happily ever after that is predictable this ending sneaks up on you so subtly and craftily that you never see it coming. You get drawn into the hypnotic world Ms. Steele has created so completely that before you could even hazard a guess as to what will happen next you are blindsided by an ending you could have never imagined. Leaving you torn between the intense desire to know what happens next right now, and wanting to revel in the sublime pleasure that is delayed gratification.

I’m Wolf, Officer Aidan “Wolf” Savage. I’m a werewolf. But unlike most of my kind these days, I’m one of the good guys even if I do scare the hell out of most people the first time they meet me. When a white-tailed deer shifter comes leaping into my life, she makes my body hotter than an erupting volcano. She’s on the run, and she doesn’t want my help. But I’m not about to let her get herself killed, and I’ll use any means necessary to keep her safe.

A hot chase between a wolf and a deer can only end one way when they revert to who they are – a dominant man and a woman who likes it – which means a reader is in for a scorching read.

I was first introduced to the hero, Officer Wolf Savage. Despite his name, he’s not all that mean. His character certainly could be but for this story I got to see the dominant crème puff inside. Sounds like it shouldn’t go together, I know. He is tough, does his job and he has a tendency to bend the rules until they scream. The only time I get to see the softie inside him is when he interacts with the heroine. He does the sexual alpha dominant thing to be sure but he’s finding it’s not a game but something that reaches a part inside that’s never been touched before. He doesn’t go down easy – well, let me rephrase that – he doesn’t recognize he’s in love until a critical part in the story occurs.

The story is told in first person point of view but each chapter takes a turn from Wolf’s perspective and then Natalie, the heroine’s, perspective.

Natalie is in a heap of trouble. She’s not a savvy femme fatale; she’s just a regular woman with a normal job who finds herself in an emotional mess with lives on the line. The conflict is externally driven. By that I mean that most of Natalie’s actions are orchestrated by what she feels she has to do. Her internal conflict comes from balancing those directives with her own personal needs. As for Wolf, he has no such quandaries except to keep her safe from the same external conflict but Natalie doesn’t make it easy for him. Of course that means that a reader keeps being entertained and I most certainly was.

The physical relationship between the two is quite hot and varied and delivers what erotic romance readers look for.

Protect and Serve: Savage Wolf is a hot and entertaining read. It’s a short story condensed with the elements romance readers look for when they need that short shot of woo-hoo on the wild side. The best part is that I had a fun time reading this story. Wolf and Natalie are so good together and even their happily ever after fit them to a tee. How can you beat that?

I am known by many names. My beloved mother called me Flopsy Lapin. Lady Grace Satin jokes that I am the wickedest rabbit in all of the world. Her father, Lord Satan, dares to label me a mobster street rabbit. You, my friend, may call me the Godrabbit.

Lady Grace is the only female I lust after. My bloodstained hands are unworthy of holding her, so when a high-class hooker with Lady Grace’s face, voice, scent, and everything else, wanders into my casino, I make her an offer she can’t refuse. This leads to a night I will never forget.

This cute and funny yet very passionate and sexy story had me giggling and sighing both in equal measure.

Ms. Sax completely cracks me up with some of the dialogue and clever bunny quips she comes up with in the telling of her tale, The Godrabbit. As soon as Grace, the heroine, spouted, “That would so bite the big carrot”, I grinned from ear to ear and I was hooked.

The story is told in first person point of view but the chapters alternate between the hero and the heroine. I liked that because I could understand what drove both of them to do what they did.

I enjoyed the naughtiness of the heroine’s actions because they were hot and daring yet tentative because of her innocence. She had no clue what she was doing but the emotions that drove her to do what she did and why were slowly revealed. She’s a woman who puts on a front for the world at large but as soon as she feels the freedom of privacy behind closed doors, a reader is in for a treat. So is the hero. I also found it funny that Flopsy’s performance wasn’t what she expected and I snickered when Grace’s internal dialogue revealed what she intended to do to him.

Flopsy is the Godrabbit and the hero to Grace’s heroine. This isn’t your normal bunny tale that’s for sure. As soon as the action starts when Grace walks into the room, Flopsy is as commanding and demanding as any other alpha readers are used to seeing, be it wolf or big cat. He is a man who demands and expects respect and after reading this story, he’s earned it and deserves it. After awhile, I got to understand why he never approached Grace before and if anyone deserves a happily ever after, believe it or not, it is Flopsy. Not Ms. Sax, she created her shifters to revel in their otherness with no apologies.

I really wish this story was longer with more time to explore the Godrabbit and his mobster role and how exactly Grace is going to fit in with his lifestyle because they really are good together. The dynamics of their places in society and what they mean to each other made for fascinating reading. I want more. I really wanted to understand how a werebunny got to be so formidable in the first place. It’s a great concept.

The Godrabbit is an extremely fun romance paired with sensual and deliciously naughty scenes sure to keep readers riveted. I was enjoying myself so much on so many different levels that time flew and before I knew it I came to the happily ever after. Even the HEA was different and exciting. I don’t know how Ms. Sax does it but she has written some awesome books that define the word entertainment. The Godrabbit rocks!
