When Sage sees the man in the cage, she’s hot and bothered. When she finds out he’s a present from her Dominant to train as a submissive and work out her natural switch abilities on, her heat and desire go to volcanic levels. The new boy-toy isn’t the only trick her Dominant has up his sleeve, but will she accept everything he has to offer?

Meeting your Master at a BDSM club with the promise of a special present sounds like a good night waiting to happen. But what if the present was way more than you bargained for?

Sage is meeting her Master at a club and he has several surprises for her. In a cage close by is Dale, a sub. He is her gift for two weeks. Delighted, she sets out to play switch and teach her new subbie how things are done.

The movement around the room and descriptives of the club were right on. The interaction between Sage and her Master was delicious and you could feel the sexual tension radiate right off the page. Sage’s mastery of Dale in a wrestling match was unique and I liked the flow of the outcome. What bothered me a little through most of the story is that Sage is called nothing at the onset, and then you have her being called Chocolate, Mistress, Goddess and several other things. It isn’t until a good deal of the story is underway that we hear Sage is her name. That needed to be stated at the outset of the story.

The sex scenes were well done, Sage switching between top and bottom for both men was hot and the end scene was smoking. I liked the caging fetish at the beginning of the story and I think this author has a good thing going overall.

If you want a short read that will heat up your lunch break, give this read a try.

In the Badlands, there are dangers too numerous to count and beings as fascinating as they are deadly.

Michael, Alec and Vic are on a mission to rescue little Juliette’s mother, the Warrior they are convinced is their mate. It will take the help of many Warriors and Mutants to get them across the Badlands to the Great Abandoned City in the East. Most women wouldn’t stand up to the pressure. Fortunately, Evandra isn’t most women. She can take anything the Badlands — or her Marines — can dish out.

And follow it up with plenty of her own.

This story brings us back to the Badlands. Michael, Alec and Vic are Marines who need to find their mate. She has been held against her will for years by the government yet she never gives up fighting for her freedom. Somehow she has made a connection with the daughter that she never even got to see. Juliette has longed to meet her mother in person and when she meets the three Marines, she knows that they are the men who can rescue her mother but so much unknown danger lies between them and happiness. Can the three men survive the Badlands and save their mate before it is to late?

I really am intrigued by the world of the Badlands. From all the different species to the evil government, all these things pull me into the story right from the start. Michael, Alec and Vic are each strong men and special in their own way. Watching them begin to understand their mate and begin a relationship with her was a nice read. Evandra may be their mate but that does not mean she is a push over. She is just as much a fighter as her men. I enjoyed watching the men and Evandra finding just how everything worked with each other and begin their relationship. There is so much give and take between them all. Even though the men always want to protect their mate they learn to let her take care of herself at times and she in turn learns to give as well. Seeing them all interact with Juliette was great read as well. I love the little girl.  She endeared herself to me when we first met her and continues to do so in this book.

Even though I fell in love with Juliette I found this story lacking something for me. I did not find myself as engrossed in the story as previous books in this series. Although I did not connect to these characters as intensely as I did the past ones I still enjoyed this book. Not only do we get a hot read with this book but it also gives us a wonderful storyline to entertain us. Once again we get to meet many more creatures that live in the Badlands and I’m such a fan of the series that I hope that we get to see them all get their stories told.

Rose has just lost his job as a bouncer — apparently he’s too scary for the job. He’s working out at the gym and considering going back into competitive bodybuilding when he meets Thorne.

Short, slender and covered in ink, Thorne couldn’t be any more different from Rose, but he feels a connection with the big man the moment they meet. As they spend the evening together, he believes they were meant to be. Now he just needs to convince Rose.

Sometimes a bad day can turn around with the prick of a thorn. Rose is having a bad day after being fired from his job as a bouncer for being too scary. Thorne happens to pick up the big man and is determined to make his night better. Although they just met, the chemistry is sizzling and something the two men can’t and don’t want to deny.

This is a Sean Michael book so you can expect certain antics to take place, shaving and fisting are long time standards in a Michael book, and Every Rose Has His Thorne doesn’t disappoint. Predictably you have a guy that hasn’t bottomed since high school and yet is getting fisted within hours on the first date (without any significant prep work either). So clearly the quick story isn’t going for anything realistic or believable, but more hot, fantasy erotica. The characterization is weak and the story relies on easy and fast stereotypes to set up the guys’ meet, then hops right into the plentiful sex.

Here you have Rose, the big bad bouncer and Thorne, the skinny inked kid who deftly manipulates and tops Rose almost immediately. A long night of non-stop sex and mild kink leads to a morning of more mild kink, this time body shaving, and more sex. It’s a case of love at first sight or sex anyway, so the story doesn’t include any emotional intimacy or happy ever after per se. More so like a promise of more kink and sex.

I can’t say I was disappointed since I choose this book specifically for an easy to read, light on plot, sex fest. It’s a very typical book by this author and fans will know exactly what to expect. It’s short and to the point, which is sex, sex and more sex. If this sounds like what you’re looking for, go for it.

Dixie wanted out of the daily rut and a night to reconnect with her husband. What she got went far beyond her wildest dreams. Who knew a Tuesday night could be so white hot?

Some wishes really do come true. Pearls and a hot evening of unexpected surprises is just what Dixie is about to experience.

Those of us that are married often wonder just how much our husbands really listen to what we are saying. They make non-committal noises, change the channel and we are often left to our own fantasies between the pages of a book. Our main character Dixie in Make Me is in the same fix. She is having a crappy day and all of a sudden there is a present waiting for her that will change her day completely. Am I going to tell you what it is? Heck no. Why spoil the suspense? Suffice it to say that these seventeen short pages are filled with many thrills and spankable chills. Delicious.

Overall, the book was a fast lunch break read that I devoured like a bar of dark chocolate. Dixie was a character I could relate to and when her wishes came true, I found myself rooting for her completely. Zeke was a hunk of a hubby that actually listened to his wife’s secret desires and put them all out there on the table, or ottoman as the scene dictates. The sex scenes ranged from spanking to bondage and anal play with toys and were very hot.

There were only a couple downsides. First, it’s a shame the publisher didn’t create a cover that reflects the wonderful story inside. And, the dialog was awkward in a few places during some of the sex scenes, but didn’t detract from my enjoyment of the book. In fact, I will be looking for more from Ms. Slayer.

Overall, the book was a satisfying read. If you like a book that will fit into a quick break in your day, then this one ought to leave you buzzing from a nice kinky interlude.

Lulu was sent to spy on the competition so she could find out the secret of their success. Her search turns up Hotsuma, a man bound to water so he can use his power to bring good luck to those who imprisoned him.

Working to set him free ignites a passion in Lulu only Hotsuma can quench, but they can’t afford to let sex, no matter how good, distract them. Hotsuma’s captors aren’t about to let Lulu leave with their property, and they’re willing to use deadly force to stop her. They’ll need more than luck for their new love to survive.

Lulu Swade was undercover checking out Onsen the rival spa of Voda where she worked. Her bosses wanted to know what made Onsen so successful while other spas were failing. Lulu loved the Japanese theme of Onsen’s with their exceptional massages and hot springs, but that still did not tell her why they were so successful. After all they offered the same amenities that Voda offered, except for the hot springs.

Not being able to find anything, Lulu decided that she would just email her boss and tell him that there was nothing special about Onsens and just enjoy her time there.

Lulu had not been to the hot springs, so she decided that she would go so that she could just relax. On her way to the hot springs, Lulu found herself walking down a hallway that was not on the map of the hotel, she was stopped by a woman who directed her to the hot springs. Looking back Lulu saw that the woman was watching her which gave her a strange feeling. Being curious and realizing that she was the only one who could see the hallway, Lulu decided to see where the hallway led. At the end of the hallway she found a door which opened into a large room with another pool.

Hotsuma Mizuno was the eleventh head of the Mizuno family that had been bound to water by his family in the eighteen hundreds. He was surprised and hopeful when the woman stepped into the room and entered the pool. After all the centuries he was trapped in his watery prison, hope started to bloom. Could this woman be his salvation, his hope of freedom? Hotsuma could not let her go without getting her to help him escape his prison.

Wet: Undercurrent was an excellent read which had a little intrigue, a lot of chemistry between the main characters, intense sex and of course a villain. This reader was caught up in the story from the first paragraph and was disappointed when the story ended. Lulu was funny and somewhat sarcastic which this reader found entertaining. Hotsuma was intense and was determined to get free so that he could be with Lulu. This is definitely one of those books that I will read again, because it was so enjoyable. Zenobia Renquist wrote an excellent story, one which would appeal to most readers, as it did to me.

When demons invade Detroit, four modern day pagan warriors go to work, but they need a little extra help from their favorite sexy witch. Phoebe has been their magical contact for years, but none of the men have dared break ranks to make a move. A protection spell won’t cut it this time. The group needs sex magic to boost their skills and bond them on a new level. Sharing a hot witch is one thing, but two of the men have issues that make baring their feelings harder than their bodies. Phoebe is determined to have them all and bring love to the warriors’ world.

Why double your pleasure when you can quadruple it by having four sexy warriors in the bed? Phoebe has been pining over Andy, Jude, DC and Reed. So when she is presented with the opportunity to act on those feeling she hops on to the closest hard surface and makes herself more than accessible to the men.

When I began this story I worried that I would get the characters confused, especially the four men, but that was not the case. Each seemed to have their own distinct personality that made it simple for me to distinguish each of them from the others. For example, Jude seems to have a subtle command about him that makes others follow him without even realizing it. DC is the heart of the group, his caring personality makes the others want to be around him. Andy has a spice for life, which had me smiling from ear to ear at times. Reed is the most lost of all of the characters, even so he’s determined to protect those he care about no matter the cost. Together this groups is unstable and truly entertaining.

The subplot with the demons, in my opinion, could have used some spicing up. Even though it’s the basis for everyone coming together, I felt it could have had a more dominant place in the story. For example, I would like to have seen a bit more action in the battles. I think that it would have added some adrenaline that would have helped build the tension.

The romantic plot in this story was exciting. You had couples, potential couples and a group all intertwined between these five people. At times I questioned, along with the characters, how they would make it work, but in the end everyone seemed to be getting what they wanted and what they needed, which is what all relationships are truly about.

The romantic involvement and wonderful characters made this an easy read and I would love to see more of these characters.

In 1652, Sara travels to Whisper where she meets the ruggedly handsome leader of the local werewolf pack. Nathaniel recognizes the curious young vampire as his mate and pursues her in a way only a werewolf can. After a brief but passionate courtship, she accepts his proposal, despite her family’s dislike of his kind. Sara and Nathaniel’s marriage is destroyed when her manipulative parents place them under a curse. Sara has no memory of Nathaniel, who has been turned into a statue in the town square. Every night he comes alive, but cannot leave the area in search of his love who has been taken back to England by her family.

Centuries later, after a life of intense study and travel, Sara is drawn back to the small New England town. Ignoring protests from her family, she returns to Whisper where she takes a job at the library. After hours, the statue in the lobby of a handsome man in colonial dress comes alive and claims that Sara belongs to him. In spite of her terror, she is aroused by the man and inexplicably drawn to him.

If Sara’s love is true, she can break the curse. If it’s not, Nathaniel will spend eternity imprisoned by magic, betrayed by the woman who stole his heart.

In 1652 young vampire Sara Chancellor and her parents travel to Whisper, Massachusetts, to try and convince her uncle Edmond to return England with them. Her uncle, along with other supernaturals, founded the colony of Whisper, where creatures like them can live among humans in relative peace. As vampires, Sara’s father Robert and her mother Emily think this is an abomination since humans are food, and you don’t play with your food. Also being vampires, all these other supernatural creatures were beneath them. Edmond tried to explain to his brother that this is the way of life he has chosen, and he wanted to show his brother first hand what it’s like.

At a dinner party thrown to introduce them to the other paranormal species, Sara meets her first werewolf, a barefoot Nathaniel Pritchard. She was mesmerized from the moment he walked in. There was a wildness about him that drew her in, and Nathaniel felt the same pull towards Sara.

Sara and Nathaniel’s love story is bittersweet because they found love in 1652 then were torn apart by her selfish, controlling parents. Sara lost all memory of him and Nathaniel was cursed to be a statue during the day and wolf at night. This reader understood the anguish Nathaniel was going through and knew that he would wait forever for her to come back to him.

Five Princesses. Five Dragons. A coincidence? I don’t think so.

In the fairytale kingdom of Werthing Ton Fallorian (or WTF for short), fairytale folk have gone insane. With the imps of lust and wickedness on a rampage, no one is safe.

The Quest: Save the world. With sex… and magic? Definitely.

The Complication: Sex is deadly. Magic is broken. And nothing is going right.

Captured by an evil queen, chained to a sexy he-man of incredible proportions, and forced on a quest that no sane person would take, Princess Penelope must travel the treacherous swampland of Andvari. A terrible place of twisted magic where sex and murder are forbidden.

Shane Masters, on the other hand, believes every curse has its loophole, and every rule has a bend.

When their passion ignites, nothing can stop them. Not even death.

Nothing like an evil stepmother to ruin your day. Or the last 4 years of your life.

After the disappearance of her mother, Penelope’s life becomes a nightmare. Diane swoops into her father’s life, all too eager to take her missing mother’s place. A corrupt water witch with a thirst for power, Diane quickly targets Penelope as her enemy. Distressed over his missing wife—presumably dead—her father sets out on a journey to find the truth, leaving Penelope to deal with Diane and her dark magic.

With her mother dead, her father absent, and a terrible curse hanging over her head, Penelope soon finds herself alone and on the run. Despite her adept skills as a huntsman and budding skills as a water witch, she eventually finds herself within Diane’s clutches. Lucky for her, an unusual and strikingly handsome cellmate keeps her safe from the carnivorous Penumbra lurking on the floor of their cage, all the while stoking a fire of longing she thought long dead inside.

Penelope’s sarcastic wit had me laughing at times. I quickly took a liking to her character as she struggled through some humanistic qualities that were easy to identify with. She couldn’t deny her attraction to Shane, or her unsatisfied desires, yet the curse hanging over her head causes her to struggle with an inner sense of restraint. She doesn’t want to be responsible for another man’s death.

Shane is likened to a gorgeous goliath with a one-track mind—sex. Of course, he has just cause. Five hundred years without would surely rev up the mating urges of any man. With his dark hair and mysterious blue eyes, he’s very easy to fall in lust with. He poses a dilemma poor Penelope could do without right now. But beneath the licentious exterior lies the loyal heart of a man desperate to love and be loved. As she starts to see this side of Shane, Penelope has no choice but to acknowledge her own growing affections for the dazzling Lothario.

WTF Dragon: Once Upon a Dragon is an enchanting little tale that opened with a nice hook. The author’s comical voice sparked my interest and kept me turning pages. I really liked how she put a little blurb at the beginning of each chapter. Some helped ground you on what was to come, others were more amusing, like The Rules of Questing.

If there were some things I could suggest for improving the story, it would be to work on the aspect of showing instead of telling. Limiting the use of the passive word was would help the reader feel more connected to the story and feel the action, rather than be reminded that they are outsiders to the plot unfolding before them. Additionally—while I enjoyed getting to know Penelope and Shane—I wished the author had indulged a bit more about their abilities. A water witch and a dragon are two fascinating creatures, each worthy of a story all their own. The limited length only allowed some basic information. As this is book two out of what I expect might be five, perhaps an allowance should made as with any series where the characters really develop over several stories instead of just one.

The end holds a pleasant surprise—I won’t spoil it for you. But Ms. Montgomery does a good job of tying off loose ends and answering a few lingering questions. Overall, I enjoyed reading her tale. It’s a fairly quick story that’s certainly worth the time.

An evil step-mother jealous of her fair-skinned step-daughter, a sex-starved dragon-shifter with thoughts of debauchery on his mind, and a fleeing water-witch desperate to survive make for an exciting, sexually-charged, and thrilling story that will keep you turning the pages to see what happens next. With it’s interesting characters and charming plot, WTF Dragon: Once Upon a Dragon by Dawn Montgomery is a must-read for any erotic fantasy lover.

Bold, independent, and free, Callie’s worked hard to become the best courier on Leman. Always too adventurous for polite folks and too blunt not to make enemies, now she’s got a chance to break ground and blaze trails on the newly colonized agri-moon known as Leman. She’s found the life she was born for.

And she’s not the only one to notice. As Callie traverses the sparsely populated prairies, two unusual stallions begin to shadow her every move. They may be young, but these native shapeshifters are as adventurous as Callie, and they’re set on proving they’re old enough to handle her. They’ve got enough “horse sense” to know this fiery filly is riding hell-bent-for-leather right into a wild ride that’s more than she can handle alone.

Time for the stallions to take the reins.

Bonding between horses and women is a centuries old reality. Where I live, more women than men have horses so this sexy little science fiction romp puts a new spin as to why there could be such an attraction. Of course, to get the kind of action that takes place in this short story one has to travel to a galaxy far, far into infinity and beyond. Add another fact into the mix; most ladies I know can’t have just the one horse. No, they always seem to have two, therefore, it didn’t come as much of a surprise to find the heroine enjoying the frisky antics of two alien horses on the range.

Except, are they really horses? Much to Callie’s delight, and my interest, the not so surprising answer is yes, and no. The dynamic of the answer is fascinating in and of itself and has to be read to be understood.

When Gray and Buck decide to communicate, their dialogue is fitting. They’re not human, they’re not from Earth or any derivative, and words aren’t required when they horse around all day. I liked how the author manipulated their speech patterns enough to get that alien feel without losing me in the process.

This story is told from Callie’s point of view only. I got to understand her needs, her interpretation of events and her reaction to having these two males focus solely on her. One thing is for sure, Callie is no shy Miss. She’s bold, accepting of her sexuality and loves herself, figuratively as well as literally. A confident woman is attractive and challenging to a self-assured and powerful man and Gray is hooked. Buck is no slouch either and he races circles around the heroine. He’s as smitten by her as Gray is so eventually the loving action gets a bit frisky and Callie gets another chance to act like the woman she used to be, albeit a toned down one.

And that’s the thing. As sexy and as titillating as having two men physically love a woman is, the author toned down the descriptives making the sex more about imagination and sensual pleasures. It wasn’t crass or full of overused expletives. It was nicely done with just enough intensity for a reader to be satisfied but not enough to be bored. It was a celebration of a woman finding her dreams coming true in a most unlikely place. She grabbed on with both hands and legs and to heck with the alienness of her situation. She was finally happy and recognized she found what was truly important.

That being said, the delivery of Callie’s POV was almost as odd as the males’. I’m assuming it’s because she’s alien too. I guess I’m not used to reading a character’s internal monologues as short choppy sentences. It was kind of like she had ADD, but not. It was unusual but it sort of fit the story. On the plus side, the author had a tremendous amount of colorful metaphors to describe the scenery, the locale and some other interesting observations. I was impressed with how beautiful some of them were.

Wild Horses is a quick, sexy read for fans of erotic sci-fi romance fantasies. It boasts unusual heroes that compliment a unique heroine, the pace is zippy and the dialogue provided that flavor of ‘otherness’. It’s a good book to pass the time with.
