Moonshine: No one expects a werewolf to be running a moonshine still. Hell, a ridgerunner? Sure. He’s seen that coming from birth. What he didn’t inherit was lycanthropy. But life’s full of the unexpected. And now there’s David, self proclaimed expert tracker, and hunter of the bastard who turned them both. David is just the kind of trouble Jenson doesn’t need, and everything he wants.

Absinthe: Barthe and Rene have a real mess on their hands. Years ago, Barthe made a stupid mistake. Now Rene’s not sure he can believe Barthe will ever really want him. Add to their dilemma Barthe’s brother Bastien, and a werewolf caught half shifted… Can they come back together before they lose their love forever?

In “Moonshine” David and Jenson are tracking the bastard who turned them both and gave them lycanthropy, but Jenson splits his focus with his moonshine still and going about his normal business. But David is determined to hunt their attacker down and Jenson quickly realizes he wants to give David everything he can. In “Absinthe” Barthe and Rene have a complicated history together, but can circumstances finally sway in their favor before it’s too late?

I really enjoyed these two short stories. Sexy and fun they’re a lovely quick read with plenty of heat and just a dollop of humour to them. I really enjoyed the energy of Moonshine. I loved Jenson and his still – and adored how Jenson stuck to his roots and was proud of his heritage but wasn’t a hick or hillbilly. I enjoyed the sense of dichomy the story gave with Jenson knowing a lot about his lycanthropy and being a wolf and David being very new to it all. Even though David was a total rookie and Jenson helped him ease over those first few hurdles the two men felt very evenly matched. This was a “student and teacher” sort of thing but it was clear that they were equals and both had plenty to bring to their fledgling relationship. This was a great short story.

Absinthe is absolutely a stand-alone story but I enjoyed it a lot more since there are a few links between Moonshine and Absinthe so I definitely enjoyed it more reading the two together. Rene and Barthe have had a rocky time of things. When Barthe had told the much younger Rene to go out into the world, explore and live a little it had cost him a lot to offer his mate the freedom to grow up. When Rene had taken Barthe at his word and left – for years – Barthe had spent every moment regretting his actions. Even though I found this history between the two wolves to be difficult I was pleased this was all explained in a few pages right at the start of the story. The short length of the story meant we could see the ending.

Rene and Barthe have both certainly learned important lessons and the sex between them is smoking hot and slightly kinky (spankings and being bound – light BDSM mostly). Readers looking for a hot paranormal short story should find both these stories sexy and fun and enjoyable quick reads.

Zane and Grant are unconventional and smoking hot together – only Grant has made no secret of the fact that he’s not intersected in children, and Zane is a single father to a young child. Despite the complications and explosive chemistry can these two guys make things work?

I really enjoyed this fun short story. Zane and Grant are both smoking hot werewolves and I found the chemistry between them both realistic and smoking hot. I enjoyed the fact they both had solid and completely believable reasons for acting the way they did. Grant was determined to set up his shop – the one he’d only just bought back from when his grandfather had lost it – and focus on his legacy and business and not his rabid libido. Zane needed work, and money, and was all for a sexily steamy good time when the offer was there. The two men circled each other and both had plenty of reason not to get more than superficially involved with each other. But life – and complications – always tends to get in the way.

I found the small cast of secondary characters both amusing and really well drawn. I feel the small town setting really worked well and offered a host of other equally enjoyable stories. This is an author I’ve read before – and enjoyed just as much as I did this go around. Indeed, it’s rapidly getting to the stage where I’ll likely give anything by this author a try because I’m almost guaranteed a humorous and enjoyable, quick read with characters I can get addicted to and a good, solid place with the plotting and romance.

I enjoyed the push-pull between Zane and Grant and felt their relationship grew along logical and believable lines. I particularly loved the chemistry between the two men and felt that the author did an amazing job letting both men be themselves while also slowly knitting them together to form the family they will become. I was thrilled when the eventual about-face that Grant needed to realise and I thought the author made it feel natural and relatable – and not a dramatic storm-in-a-teacup or blown out into an unnecessarily dramatic climax.

Fun and sexy, with two awesome heroes and a few solid secondary characters this is a great, quick read.

Dating a tentacle monster is easy if you know the rules ahead of time!

The fabulous sense of humor expressed in the seven attention-grabbing words of the title were repeated over and over again in the storyline itself. This was especially evident in the dialogue. Multiple times I laughed out loud at the ways Helios and Peter expressed themselves. They had such a humorous way with words, especially when it came to Peter reassuring his anxious boyfriend that he wasn’t “dead, dying, or any form of the undead” after Helios worried what serious matter they were about to discuss.

No sooner did I finish my first round of laughter at their banter than I realized that Peter and Helios had fantastic chemistry. While there was a brief time in the beginning when I felt like I’d been dropped into the middle of their relationship without having enough information about their backstories, this feeling faded almost completely as I noticed all of the little and big ways in which their personalities suited each other perfectly.

I liked the way the storyline acknowledged Helios’ intersex identity without making it a big deal. He simply was who he was, and that was nice. What made it even more interesting is how it contrasted to how sex and gender were determined in Peter’s species. This is something that every reader should discover for themselves, but I was fascinated by it.

This is the tenth story in a series. It can be read as a standalone work.

Anyone who loves teasing out the funny side of the science fiction or erotic genres should definitely give How Not to Date a Tentacle Monster a go.

Maxim, tall, whimsical, and a vampire, wants to hire a curator for his art collection. Robyn, a newly minted art historian looking for a job, loves fine art and old stuff, and Maxim soon realizes she is not just perfect for the job, but also for him.

Robyn never liked prejudices against vampires, werewolves, or Fae, but the moment she starts working for a vampire, things appear less black and white, especially when she begins to fall for her new boss.

However, Testosterone is very essential. viagra sildenafil canada appalachianmagazine.com Men can’t maintain the toughness of the penis to receive more blood and to viagra cost in india give it a new start. Robyn and Maxim’s young love will have to overcome odds and odd vampires who take issue with the fact that Maxim happens to be a vampire hunter who doesn’t shy away from decapitating his own kind.

This is one of the most hilarious stories I have read in a long time. There is some action but most of novel is character development and romance. I was drawn into the plot and fell in love with all the characters.

Robyn Somerton is an art historian offered the job of her dreams, taking care of a private art collection. Her employer turns out to be a vampire, which is rather common as all the supernatural creatures don’t hide what they are. What she doesn’t expect is how handsome and funny he is. As for Maxim Vallois, he fell in love with her as soon as he met and scented her. I loved the fact that he refuses to do any paperwork and leaves it up to his son, Heath Decker. He is what is called a Dhampir, a child of a human mother and a vampire father. They can go out in sunlight, but they inherit their vampire father’s abilities.

The relationship between father and son is nice but Heath becomes exasperated with him when he makes rash decisions or does something to embarrass him. One of the funny jokes that go throughout the story is Maxim blaming himself for not getting Heath crayons when he was young, and Heath calling him an “crazy old bat”. To Heath’s surprise he actually likes Robyn and considers her one of his few friends. You could call him a work-a-holic among work-a-holics. He gets very exasperated with his father as he keeps pushes him to go on at least two dates, to get out and have some fun. Robyn is a wonderfully developed character that is one of the few people who do not hold any discrimination towards the supernatural creatures around her. I could also tell just how much she enjoys her job and was horrified by the way his collection was stored.

Besides being a handsome man with morals, Maxim is allowing Robyn to take charge of how fast their relationship goes. That said, he is desperate to claim her. I love his character as he takes nothing seriously except his feelings for both his son Robyn and his job. He is an elder vampire and has seen all sort of changes, but he just can’t take the world seriously. He is a little possessive of her and has an almost obsessive need to feed her. Part of the reason is back before he was changed, he knew true hunger and does not like to see anyone thin, and as Robyn is rather thin, he wants to fatten her up.

This is a book I would recommend to everyone that likes paranormal romance. The characters and plot are fun, and the romance is rather sweet to watch. They have an instant attraction that neither tries to resist. The love scene is sweet, and both know that they have found the person for them.

Have fun sitting back and watching the chaos happen, but you might want to be alone or others might think you are crazy for laughing so much.

Trapped in the Gaslighter’s web, he’ll need to use every trick he knows to stay calm and buy time. But will Brian unravel the knot of mystery in time to save the man he loves?

It was absolutely delightful to get tied up in the plot of this novel! Jackie and Brian are two men who enjoy BDSM in the dark of their bedroom, but who by the light of day realize they might be falling more deeply into a relationship that is FAR more tantalizing than just Dom and Sub.

Beautifully descriptive sensual scenes mixed in with a mysterious string of crimes leave the readers on the edge of their seats with anticipation! Jackie and Brian as characters are developed so nicely within the 131 pages, their personal lives growing together steadily as the crimes in the novel start to escalate. The side characters created their own interest in me as a reader, and I found myself enjoying their quirks just as much as those of the main characters.

In between the remarkably sexy scenes where we find Jackie bound intricately to pieces of furniture, Lou Sylvre also delivers some really sweet moments that ring true in Jackie and Brian’s unfurling relationship. But sweet loving was not the only thing making my heart race while reading this novel. Knowing that any moment the other shoe would drop, following along from the perspective of the criminals as their stories race forward to meet with the lovers, made putting the book down nearly impossible!

A Shot of Fear is the second novel in the Vasquez Inc. series, and I would say that although this novel could be read on its own, reading the first novel to learn a little bit more about Jackie and Brian would be an absolute pleasure. All in all, this book FLEW by and I would absolutely consider giving it another read!

I’m no damsel in distress, so I took off for New York to live a life of independence. Along the way, I was kidnapped and my situation became desperate. When Samson came to my rescue, I never expected him to claim me for himself.

Delilah might be the Alpha’s daughter, but she had her own opinions, her own plans and she was nothing close to a submissive, stay at home and follow orders woman. When the arranged marriage her father organized fell through, Delilah wasn’t heartbroken and she had no plans to return to her family home. She was determined to live life on her own terms and that included a career and her independence. Samson might be the Beta to Delilah’s ex-fiance, but the attraction he feels for her is strong and when his instincts say she’s in trouble nothing can stop Samson from trying to help, no matter the cost.

I found this to be an interesting short story. I thought the plot was very well written – although a few of the medical aspects to the story when Delilah was kidnapped didn’t appeal to me, personally. While not graphic or overly intense, I usually tend to stay away from those sorts of stories as they don’t appeal to me. I thought the pace of the plot moved really well – fast enough to keep me turning the pages but with enough detail and layers to remain consuming and keeping my attention. I feel this aspect of the story should appeal to most readers. I thought the romance between Delilah and Samson took a bit of a back seat to the plot. On the one hand it helped me show that Samson’s feelings for Delilah were real and deep, but it took me quite a while to feel Delilah really reciprocated those feelings since she couldn’t see or understand Samson’s connection to her.

Delilah is a complicated character and at times I felt her independence and self-assurance came across as arrogance. I was both pleased and relieved when Delilah stepped back from that slippery slope of being judgmental and cold, but I felt the story lost a lot of the romance when Delilah refused to acknowledge her feelings. Thankfully due to the shortness of the story this didn’t last long – which made it less believable to me but also helped keep the pace of the romance moving along. When Delilah and Samson finally both got onto the same page the sex between them was hot and steamy and I feel a lot of erotica readers will find it satisfying.

With lots of plot and action this is a good story with a strongly paranormal world.

Kit refuses to make the mistake his parents made and won’t try to tie Deacon down, no matter how much he yearns to be Deacon’s partner in all things. Only things change when Kit unexpectedly falls pregnant and the baby is born, because Deacon finally realizes the family and home he’s always wanted was always there for the taking. Now Deacon just needs to convince Kit him and their newborn and change of lifestyle is exactly what he wants.

I found this to be an interesting and fun story. There wasn’t a lot of time spent at the start of the book showing the equilibrium Deacon and Kit’s relationship had grown to. With Deacon on the road trucking more often than not he and Kit had a very hot, explicit and loving relationship but they were predominantly apart, only enjoying fleeting moments together for the joy they brought each man. I never had any question about the two men’s dedication or love for each other, but their relationship appeared to have been built very much with them being apart more than together. So when the baby is unexpectedly born the difference that changed their relationship in an instant was enormous. I was pleased the author spent a fair bit of time fleshing out these major changes and showing me as the reader just how both Deacon and Kit came to grips with the serious changes that they each needed to grow comfortable with and how the two men worked together to find a new equilibrium.

I was also really pleased that even though there was some steamy sex at the start of the story and again towards the end, the author focused more on the home life and actual romantic relationship between Deacon and Kit. With a newborn and all the stresses of such life-changing events in their relationship it would have felt a little odd to me, personally, had the focus remained on the sexual aspects of Deacon and Kit’s relationship and not the massive changes each man was making both to their lives and their connection and a couple.

There is a small amount of conflict in the story, but I was quite grateful that it was more of a token effort than a large drama. Personally, I felt that having the enormous shift in priorities for both Deacon, Kit and their relationship as a whole was enough plot for the story to move along well with. Readers looking for an intensely erotic – or plot with a lot of dramatic conflict – might not find that here, but I personally really enjoyed the characters and watching them each strive to do their best by their baby and essentially shift their entire lives around in a healthy and loving manner. This was definitely a family and character orientated story and I really enjoyed it.

He is disturbed by the offer but after talking to his oldest brother, Dash, they decide to go along and buy the females. Their plan was to save the girls and inform the police to break up any more sex trafficking rings from the same man.

Ripley is one of the young women who are being sold. She had been caught by answering an ad for a dancer. Like all the other women she is chained together, beaten, and pawed at.

The plot is a rough one that explores a part of our society that is not as well-known as others. This story shows how a life can be ruined by one person’s actions. I also got to see how resilient humans can be when given the chance. The story shows how one family can make a huge difference when confronted with the horrors of our society.

Vonn is a man who didn’t have an idea of what he was going to do. It was interesting watching him finally grow into himself and find a purpose. He had a great deal of patience and compassion for the women. He did everything in his power to make their life easier. Ripley is a strong woman who has lost her trust in men. She is almost instantly attracted to Vonn. She does show her distrust in men when she is confronted with several in her hotel room.

The characters are not as well developed as I would have liked. What I thought was how unreal it was how Ripley fell for Vonn and he for her. I thought her trust would take longer to be earned, let alone to have him touch her in an intimate way. I thought it would have been more realistic if it took her longer to allow a man close to her. It was also surprising how quickly Vonn fell in love with her, although he was impressed by her strength.

Otherwise this is a novella where we learn that trust can be earned with patience and care. I did enjoy knowing that justice was swift for the women whom suffered. I was also impressed at how the whole Jordan family banded together to offer all the women support, both financially and emotionally.

When Vaaden warriors claim slaves from Earth they will face emotions they never knew they possessed.

Vaaden Captives: Captured on Earth, Sorcha, Enid and Susan are slaves, bound to owners who crave them for the pleasure they can bring, the women despair of ever finding happiness again. But then the unthinkable happens. Sorcha falls for her owner’s brother; Enid, despite her fears, falls for the man who claims her; Susan finds herself drawn to two men, but in the end, only one will claim her heart.

Vaaden Warriors: When three Vaaden warriors claim slaves procured from Earth, they will face emotions they never knew they possessed. Rheul doesn’t believe in love, until he meets his new slave; Randar must choose between his duty or his heart; Thale thought he was saving Moira, but in the end she saved him.

This is a novel that has three short stories about three different Vaaden Warriors and the slaves they have purchased. We learn about their society and just how horrible they treat their slaves, as many are considered either a possession or a warm body to get sexual relief. Many of the women are mistreated and injured for the least thing if they displease their masters. The men have the right to kill a slave or give them away. They have a society that if men do not have sex regularly, they will sicken and die. The Warriors prefer slaves over their own women as their women are cold, and uncaring–along with the fact that they do not seem to enjoy sex. Many warriors that have married a Vaaden woman have had a horrible relationship. Thus, the profusion of harems, and it doesn’t explain just how the slaves are found but my guess is that they are kidnapped from earth.

The only slightly good thing that there are a few laws that will protect the slaves. A warrior will be fined for the first two transgressions and then he will face banishment. This isn’t the best way to keep the slaves safe as several different men could abuse a woman and be fined while the slave must suffer.

The first story features Rheul and his new slave Darcy and how their lives are changed upon first sight. Most Vaaden warriors go to select their slaves from the slave pens. Those that are not chosen were sent to the Harems.

Rheul’s situation was different as his brother Bastian had picked one out for him. Getting Rheul a slave was partially Bastian’s idea and partially his slave, Enid’s idea. They hope he will fall in love just like they did. Rheul is stuck on the notion that he has to marry eventually since his brother doesn’t want to marry a Vaaden woman and he sees it as his duty to marry and provide an heir to their fortune. The society doesn’t allow slaves to marry their masters, to live in their master’s homes, or to keep any children that are born of the union. So, the slaves are considered second class citizens.

Rheul is a very dutiful male who knows that if he got a slave it would not be fair since once, he married a Vaaden woman he would not see the slave very often. Bastian believes that Rheul would be a good master as he is not violent and would provide the best care possible. I enjoyed his character as he knows his mind and what would be for the best, at first at least. He is also incredibly understanding and is a man of his word.

When he first met Darcy, it was funny because he immediately felt protective. His stomach dropped since he knew that those feelings were not good as he had seen his brother go through the same thing. He doesn’t want to fall in the same trap as his brother.

Darcy is an incredibly sweet but strong woman with a large capacity for love. She is confused and worried about her new life and for a good reason. She is a virgin and had heard horror stories in the slave pen from three slaves that had been returned. She thought she would be abused, expected to do anything that was asked of her no matter how she felt about it. I felt happy for her as her heart swelled at her amazement of how she was being treated, since it was better than she ever imagined.  Their intimacy is hot and yet sweet at the same time, both finding so much pleasure together.

The second story features Randar. Randar is an older warrior and, unlike many of his comrades, he really hadn’t thought of getting a slave. He is firm and no nonsense. He knows what he wants and will get it at any cost. He has rather a romantic notion in his head of having a slave around his age that he could hopefully have a companion.  He is the most compassionate of all three of the men we meet. This is shown by how he treats Lyssa after he brings her back to the slave apartments and he notices how timid and fearful she was. He used such a soothing and calming tone of voice and actions with small touches. To give Lyssa her time to heal and trust him he decides to use the harem. He has a favorite slave he visits, Sophie, whenever he needs to have sex.

Sophie is a completely different person than Lyssa and is more to his liking. When he saw Sophie’s expression at the thought of losing him, he made a wild decision. He was able to support two slaves and he really wanted Sophie near him. She was an older woman whom he already had conversations with, and a pleasant attitude and he just knew that there could be a deep friendship and maybe he could fall in love. He did not have any wish to marry a Vaaden woman.

Sophie makes it clear that she prefers him over any of the men who have come to her. It was so sweet watching them together as it’s obvious how connected they are. She is a brave woman, not letting on just how much it hurts that she must share him. He also becomes extremely protective once he claims her as his and when she points out that many of the men had seen her body and he state, “But That was before you were mine. No one gets to see your body but me.”

She is just such a tough person and the author is doing a great job of showing how differently people who suffer from tragedy behave. The fact that Sophie did not let herself become jaded and is still able to love and in fact look forward to being intimate with him. Where Lyssa has become withdrawn, bitter and unable to cope, just letting her mind shut down and do what is asked. He is another man of honor who is trying his best to keep both woman happy.

The final story involves Thale, another man who is forced to take a slave from a friend.  Yet again, Rheul is stepping in to get a woman who deserves to get out of the Harem to a friend he knows will take care of her.

Thale has a completely different personality than the other two men. He had owned a slave before, and it was not a good idea. He accidentally ended up hurting her. He also blames himself for his wife’s death, even though he had been cleared by the medic. He has lost faith in himself and because of everything he went through he believes he has no heart to give. Rheul is persistent , soThale agrees to visit her but he made sure Rheul knew that he would not decide right away. The poor man is so insecure about love and just will not believe that his concrete heart could be broken into.

Poor Thale is captivated by her eyes first and feels a pull towards her. It scares him as he has not felt a pull like this ever. Moira has been abused also and my heart hurt as she has accepted the fact that these men can do this to her as she is only a slave. Again, the society is showing just how far they need to go to understand that humans have feelings and should not be treated like an object.

Thale well knows his own of his weaknesses and makes sure that Moira knows them. He makes sure that she understands that he won’t hurt her and won’t share her with anyone else. Moira is another sweet woman that seems to be made just for Thale, as she remarks to him, “I have a lot of tolerance so being rude won’t bother me.” All she cares about is that he is not mean.  Their sex life is explosive a passionate. Moira is a great character with a soft personality and the ability to know what he wants. Love beats all circumstances.

These stories show us just how horrible sex slavery is, how each woman must take whatever comes to her and not complain. These women were strong enough to take the horrors they faced day after day, but others have been broken, living inside their minds while letting their bodies be used. Each one is considered a possession if they are bought from the harem. They may have a slightly better life, but it depends on their owner. Not everyone is as sweet and caring as these fine men. I’m going to see if there are full stories available as this is only a small sample of what happened to other men.

Viper: I tracked the cunning little wench for three fuckin’ days. In the fuckin’ snow. She’s good, too. She survived on her own in a hostile environment with only a little trouble. That alone would make me respect for her, but then she had to go and kick me in the balls. Had I not been on the ground in agony, I’d have been turned on beyond belief. Now, with her safely under my protection, I’ve got to figure out how to keep my hands off her so her father won’t kill my sorry ass. He’s our intel man and one of my best friends, so I don’t want to cause him grief. But I want Darcy. Badly.

It’s Christmas Eve, and there’s an enemy on our doorstep with a unique gift. One that will leave us all with some hard choices — Darcy especially. What unfolds next is something none of us ever planned for.

Viper, one of the hunters for the Bones Motorcycle Club, was sent to the Kentucky woods in search of Data’s daughter, Darcy. Data had been gobsmacked when he learned that he had a daughter. The moment Viper sees Darcy, he is struck by her beauty and then her fierceness and her survival skills. Viper is a man of honor, with a spine of steel, a set of skills that he learned in special forces that he uses to protect his brothers and complete missions. He is a man that thinks of his brothers and family first and the rest of the world next.

Darcy knows that most men are not to be trusted as her mother had horrible taste in men. She is a character who can look after herself and had a hard wall around her heart to keep from getting hurt any worse than she had been. The heat between her and Viper was immediate and he was completely blown over by her beauty. It was rather fun watching him try and fight the attraction between them with no luck.

There is an almost palpable connection between Data and Darcy, she feels safe and knows almost immediately that he will do anything to protect and provide for her. It was such a sweet moment when Data showed her a picture of his sister that had passed long ago from cancer and Darcy could have been her twin.

The club loves, protects, and helps any woman they can. Although they are portrayed as hard and unforgiving to those who cross them there is the other side which one of the women calls them ‘teddy bears.

El Diablo who is a bit of an enigma as it seems like he was one of the top enforcers for the upper echelon of organized crime over the world. He has a daughter, Magenta, who is married to one of the club members, but she does not have a great relationship with him. The club had reached an uneasy truce the last time they met. It is a strange encounter as he brought a ton of food as a Christmas present. It really was a Christmas dinner between two families, the Motorcycle club that El Diablo ran had brought their woman and child to enjoy the feast. To my entire surprise El Diablo had taken the twin sisters, Serlda and Winter under his protection with a man to watch them until they figure out what was going to happen next.

This is a bit of a rushed book, but I did enjoy it, especially with the loving Christmas atmosphere balancing out the horror that Darcy and her sisters had gone through. I did think that the relationship between Viper and Darcy was rather quick and would have enjoyed seeing her giving him more of a chase, but it was fun anyway. So, if you are looking for a short Christmas story with big bad bikers acting like teddy bears towards their women and watching a brand-new member of the family be embraced, you will love this story. You’ll love it more if you also like a little heat with your hot chocolate.
