Tries to give them everything they need to be the best of themselves. I have been wondering for some time the women he would fall for. Rachel is running away from someone and trying to protect her son. She did need some help and Steel was it. But she got her HEA with it as well.

I enjoyed this Christmassy short story. While a few of the previous couples are mentioned in relation to the potion store Start Me Up this book can totally be read as a stand alone and I had no problems following along with it having not read any of the previous stories. I enjoyed that despite the short length of the story the author gave a fair bit of time at the start to properly introduce King and Randall’s characters, this helped me get a good feel for what they’re like and where they are at in their respective lives so as they slowly became more attached to each other their relationship felt more realistic and understandable to me.

I was pleased the author managed to explain most of the “magic” or paranormal aspect of this story without info-dumping or bogging the pace of the plot down. It was quite unconventional but I enjoyed it and while I feel readers will definitely need to suspend their disbelief – Christmas magic and a bit of “love conquers all” is never a bad thing in a romance story to my mind.

Readers looking for an intensely erotic story might not be satisfied with the two quick sex scenes. Personally I felt the blossoming relationship between King and Randall, as well as the paranormal/magical element to the story and the rest of the plot was more interesting and important than a second or third sex scene between the two men. Especially considering the short length to the story I feel the author managed to balance all these elements really well – but for an “erotic romance” even though the sex was steamy and sensual I could understand if this might not be satisfying for everyone.

Christmassy and full of magic and the first blush of a new relationship I enjoyed this happy and short story.

Regardless, I loved reading this second chance romance and seeing their relationship improve. Casper and Carmella have been married for a decade. I did not expect that. Harley Wylde was able to show the emotional journey of Carmella from when she got married to where the book starts. There might have been a couple of tears–and a lot of laughs.

Overall a great book for readers who want a bit of everything in their read.

There is though quite a large gap between their ages and this might not work for all readers. I was pleased that the pace of the story felt quite even to me. I appreciated how Alex and Jessie didn’t just immediately jump into kinky sex play together – though there was a blow-job which was effectively her “interview” and the chemistry between the two characters was smoking hot. The author spent a fair bit of the first quarter of the story though allowing Alex and Jessie to get the basics on each other and check they both knew exactly what they were offering and expected from each other. While there were only a few secondary character, I admit I was pretty curious about them – Rona and Dante in particular. I’d be interested to see if her character might be portrayed more in future stories. This ends on another cliffhanger but now I really, REALLY, want Arcas’ story. I know he’s going to be with Marshall and I can’t wait. Sparks are going to fly. Not only that but I need Thomas to be safe.

Such a great series and definitely one I am loving. Absolutely recommended by me.

I found this dynamic to be quite interested and especially in this story I found it to be well written.

The sex scenes were intimate and definitely explicit. I feel readers used to erotic stories should find them enjoyable and satisfying. While the sex is prolific and occurs fairly quickly the author made it seem quite understandable give than Taelyn could certainly feel the mate-bond even though she wanted to give herself time before committing her emotions. Sharing her body was a lot easier than trusting or allowing herself to begin to love Dylan.

While the author did alternate the perspectives between Dylan and Taelyn I personally found it a little harder to connect with Dylan, even though we did get to see things from his perspective as well. I just feel his character was possibly a little more cookie-cutter than Taelyn and so while I liked and enjoyed him I struggled to find something solid to really feel a strong connection to him. This niggle eased a lot for me when we were shown Dylan interacting with his Alpha and later his pack but it took me a little longer than I was expecting to really feel a connection and attachment to him.

With a sexy pace and a really interesting plot I enjoyed this steamy paranormal story. A good, quick read.

I was also impressed while the attraction between Barb and Virgil was nearly instant, they didn’t just jump directly into bed with each other – that made the whole instant-attraction thing a lot easier for me to handle, when I could get to know their characters a bit better before they became physically intimate.

I loved how Virgil shattered many of Barb’s misconceptions and poor taste in paranormal reading material – I found the whole scene made me laugh out loud and I still giggled upon a second re-read. While the plot aspect of the story was fairly short I enjoyed how it was well-woven throughout the growing romance between Barb and Virgil and also liked how even though it was simple, the plot was coherent and added a good amount of tension to the story as a whole.

Fun and frivolous, with some modern, relatable and outstanding characters, I found this to be a humorous and really enjoyable, sexy romance story.

I loved the fresh take on this paranormal romance and while a fair bit of my brain needed to be disconnected to suspend my disbelief, the story and enjoyment I got from this made it well worth it.

I was particularly pleased that Zeethan and Xaylu already had a well established, seemingly long-term committed relationship before Kiara came along. This helped me find the speed with which the threesome formed feel a lot more believable and I could also understand why since the basis of the relationship was already solid and well-proved adding Kiara into the mix didn’t rock the boat too much. I was really pleased the author spent a bit of time showing us what Heather and Mario were like before they jumped into bed together – this helped them feel more realistic but also let me grow attached to them and become invested in their romance. While Mario was a little cookie cutter as a character, the over-protective, masculine persona never really grows old with me and I really enjoyed how Heather was a lot more unique. Her talents lay in costume design and being a beginner seamstress and I loved how refreshing and different this was.

The sex between Mario and Heather is explicit and steamy. I was pleased though that there was a good balance between the sex and growing romance between the two main characters and the plot of Heather being in danger and trying to change her life around. I felt both aspects to the story got an equal and strong showing in the story and this helped keep the tension high but also kept the story feeling like it moved along at a good pace.

Sexy and strongly plotted, I enjoyed this interesting erotic story.
