Filled with danger and secrets, this story was such a fun read! I loved reading about William and Pippa in this historical tale. This is my first time reading anything by this author, so I haven’t read the others in the series, but after reading this one, I hope to read them soon!

Pippa is such a strong character, and I loved her commitment and steadfast nature. She isn’t afraid of hard choices, and she is determined to protect her family, and find out the truth. Likewise, William is self-assured and isn’t afraid to go after what he wants. When these two characters cross paths, things don’t always go as planned, or do they?

If you enjoy clean historical fiction, with strong lead characters, and Christian values, this one is sure to please!

Fight promoter Zack Grayson is on the prowl for a rising star. As the top recruiter of a prestigious MMA promotion company, he wants to take someone where he was never able to go: the top of the professional league. He didn’t expect that someone to be the woman he loved…and left.

Top-ranked MMA amateur fighter Shayla “Shilla the Killa” Tyler built walls around her heart when Zack left her seven years ago—and again when her husband turned violent. Now, seeing Zack is nearly enough to send those walls crumbling. But she can’t risk the exposure of the limelight, and she definitely can’t risk another heartbreak.

As Shayla and Zack grow closer, though, business turns personal. And once their passion unleashes, there’s no going back…

A love story that really packs a punch! This is my first time reading Sarah Castille’s work, but I loved her Redemption characters, and can’t wait to read more of her stories! While this book has plenty of steamy sex, it also has a powerful story about overcoming challenges, forgiveness, and love.

Shayla has had a hard life, from her childhood sweetheart leaving her, to a messy marriage, but she has a fighter’s spirit, and refuses to give up. Deciding to start training in MMA, the last thing she expects is to be reunited with the man who broke her heart. I love the chemistry between Shayla and Zack, and adored their relationship in the beginning. I also enjoyed Shayla’s friendship with the people at Redemption and her co-workers Carly and Joe.

While I love how Zack and Shayla relationship is by the end of the story, I did have a problem with Zack’s possessiveness. One moment he would be sweet, the next he would be making Shayla’s choices for her, the very thing that tore them apart to begin with. The chemistry was there, but I felt like there relationship was mostly physical, which is something both characters say they don’t want at different points in the story. They both want love and yet I feel like they spend most of the time either ripping each other’s clothes off, or fighting. Before someone says it, yes I know this is erotic, it’s about the sex. But true relationships also need friendship and trust, and it seemed like Zach struggled with this part. Shayla even got upset at one point about his ‘cave-man behavior”, much of which seemed to come from this abusive childhood and his doubts and control issues after his fight with Okami.

That said, I loved how things turned out, it just seemed to take one step forward, two steps back through most of the book, that said, there was plenty of make-up sex to keep the story moving. If sexy alpha males are you thing, with mild BDSM suggestions, and steamy sex, then give this book a try!

“The girls all stared at me in horror— but their knees were clenched together tight, terror on their faces. There was no way they were going to stand up, lift their skirts, and take my place…”

The last person Diana expects her carriage to be overtaken by is Daniel—an old school-friend-turned-rogue. When Daniel makes a show of threatening the ladies he does not expect Diana to volunteer to be his plaything for the evening. But Diana is eager to escape her life as a traveling pilgrim and her celibacy vows… and this is her chance…

Diana and Daniel make such a great couple! While this book was super short, and we don’t get to see much of the characters’ personalities, there is still a respect and attraction between the two that is addictive.

Diana and Daniel met in school, and had a short lived fling in high-school which left a lasting impression, and desire, in each of them. I enjoyed the chemistry and respect shown by Daniel toward Diana in this story. Even as a highwayman he is shown to have a moral code.

I’m often picky about romances not having enough characterization or story, but somehow I loved reading this one! I felt it had just enough information and detail without over-doing it. If you are looking for a quick read with a sweet romance, I definitely recommend picking this one up!
