A job application turns into a perfect sexy holiday.

When Carlie answers a job ad in the paper for a maid at Aphrodite’s Island, a holiday resort under the sun, she doesn’t expect to find Mr. Right there waiting for her. On the island for a weekend of fun and romance, Marcus takes a chance on the very confused woman, and together, they have a little fun in the mid-summer sun.

If all a reader is in the mood for is a sexy fantasy with role playing in a tropical paradise, this little snippet can do the trick.

Carlie is on her way to a job. It’s not what she thought at all and the owner/almost boss turns out to be a good egg about it. It left the heroine free to explore and what she finds is a pleasant interlude. The author made it clear that she wasn’t a loose woman. She had some standards and from what I gather, that means she won’t do sex for pay in any capacity. However, sex for fun, that’s a whole other issue.

Enter Marcus. He doesn’t explode on the scene. He comes to Carlie gently and seductively. The sparks were already there but he pursued the possible attraction. He seems to be a good guy but the author never fleshes out any of his character’s deep seated emotions, motivations or feelings. It’s all about what the island offers.

The tale is mostly told as third person point of view from Carlie’s perspective but every now and again, the author slipped into what seemed like Marcus’s POV. It didn’t make sense to me because Marcus didn’t have a lot of thoughts in his head except, ‘mine’ and possibly the feeling of jealousy. Most of the reflection and descriptions favor Carlie.

The ending is a happy for now. There’s no guarantees these two lovers’ relationship will see the light of day once the interlude ends but for now, Carlie is happy and that’s as good as it gets. It’s upbeat and hopeful at best.

Cleaning Up is a quick slam dunk into an erotic moment in time. If a reader wants to read a short story that can inspire a certain mood or frame of mind, this might get the job done because eroticism is explored but it never gets out of control. I appreciated that.

Will he continue to enjoy the fantasy of every man? Or will he enjoy the best of both worlds and hope to pick up the pieces?

This book made me want to go on vacation!

Molly likes Seth a lot and decides to go to Aphrodite’s Island, where Seth will be. She hopes to start a relationship with Seth. However the island is an island where sexual fantasies are available. Molly and Seth end up hooking up, but will they both be willing to participate in each others fantasies? Molly Does not like what Seth has in mind, and it may cause them to break up and risk their happiness.

I liked this story because I thought that if the characters went to a sexual fantasy island then their desires would be met, in a safe environment. There is more to this island then it appears and visitors get more than they bargained for, in a good way. When Seth didn’t tell Molly his fantasy I thought that it was unfair, and that Seth should have told her, and maybe she would have reacted differently.

The plot was interesting and I enjoyed the idea of the different fantasies and I just wish that Molly matured earlier in the book. I liked the ending, although it was expected. I also liked the idea of the island and how visitors get welcomed!

As Amanda shares her darkest secret with Kyrna, she reveals more about herself than she ever intended. Dealing with the after effects of rape in a novel is tough. It is something that can trigger both the writer and the reader into remembering things best left in the past. In this book, Amanda is dealing with her memories of the tragedy and her family’s refusal to help. Kyrna gets past her defenses but the walls are thrown up again when she gets a little too adventurous in her therapy efforts. Bringing a man into their lovemaking sets Amanda off, even after declarations of love. Will they resolve their differences? Will Amanda admit she could maybe be involved with Michael, Kyrna’s best friend, and share her?

The tension in the book was good, I had an issue with the snark at the onset of the novel. I want to see what sets a character off, not read about it in a summed up narrative. It is more real for me that way. The immediate chemistry was fine, but in a sleazy catty way that left me a little cold at the start. I want to have an emotional connection to the character first, not a boink fest.

The final blow, I think was the introduction of BDSM to the sex scenes without a necessary conversation with Amanda. Let me be clear. You need to know what you are getting into before you go into a scene, especially when you are dealing with a rape victim. The author did try to capture this, but there was more opportunity to show a gradual trust building and her acquiescence. One other note; BDSM is great. I love toys and the things people do that go bump (bump, bump) in the night.

Overall, I liked the conflict caused by Amanda’s necessary aloofness, but wanted a little more emotional connection to the character, both in the bedroom and out of it. Victims of sexual violence can have intimacy issues. It is a subject I am unfortunately very familiar with. I wanted a connection to the character, a realistic sexual relationship with Michael and Kyrna and a real feeling of love.  However, thankfully the book wrapped up with another narrative at the end just as the three came (giggle) to a satisfactory conclusion.

If you enjoy erotic stories with a sense of carnal want, then give this short novella a try.

He ends up in a bar, drinking too much and chatting to beautiful cruise ship worker Erik. Before long things heat up between them, they dance, chat, find themselves locked away in a quiet room!

Nordic Prince is a short, erotic male/male romance. The story flows nicely, the characters are quickly established and the sex scene is hot. I felt the writing could have been a little more polished but I think the author did a nice job of transporting me to a cruise liner, dropping me into Stephen’s head, and outlining the internal conflict he experiences after having sex with a man for the first time.

And there is a lot of conflict because Stephen had no idea he was gay and then suddenly he was 69ing with another bloke. The L word was used pretty quickly, but it does help the story move along.  A nice little read if you like male/male romance, fairly predictable, but perfectly satisfying.
