Tom, Retruance’s companion, and Mandy, his wife, are in the thick of things, working diligently to foil their enemies.
The world that Callander has created is rich, rewarding, and totally believable. I would love to live in the land of Carolna, if I were as lucky as Tom to be transported there to become the companion of “a fifty-foot, green-and-gold, fire-breathing gentle Dragon named Returance Constable.” Tom saves the day in a variety of ways with his very practical ideas in a land which tends to do everything by magic. Tom is an anomaly in that he is a human in a land of elves, but he is valued and honored for his wisdom and assistance.
The story is intriguing, as well as exciting and fun. It is a real page turner with excellent pacing, lots of twists and turns in the action, and a very satisfactory ending which nonetheless leaves the door open for another book in the series.
Readers of dragon fantasies are sure to enjoy Dragon Rescue. And if you want to treat yourself to exploring the world of Carolna completely, then begin with Dragon Companion, also a great read.

Alison Morton has given a real ancient Roman feel to this novel, portraying a world where Latin is still spoken and the land is ruled by the twelve families descended from Roman times. The setting is fully developed and totally believable. Roma Nova seems a wonderful, if very different, place to live and Karen does have to adjust to a totally new way of life. But her grandmother is a very sympathetic person, as well as one of the leading figures of this small nation.
Karen is threatened again by Renschman and she then develops her own inner strengths, taking on a new career, and finding some unique friends along the way. These supporting characters are both interesting and complex, adding another layer of richness to the story. The pacing is excellent with never a dull moment as Karen moves from one adventure to another, learning and growing as she encounters past secrets and present day realities.
Lovers of mystery and suspense as well as lovers of books about alternate realities are sure to enjoy Inceptio. It is a complex and exciting novel with an incredibly rich setting.

Figuring out what she needs to try next propels the plot forward and gives Katy good reasons to continue working with the statue. While I have no idea what her plans may be, this would make a great series if Ms. Gaines ever decides to revisit this world. If nothing else, I’d love to see the sizzling chemistry between the main characters once again.
What surprised me the most about this tale was how often it made me laugh. The author introduces Katy to such unexpected situations that her reactions to them are as humorous as they are well-suited for the tone of this piece. Sometimes arousal and laughter go well together. This is one of them.

This case was very interesting. It has an old style detective novel feel with a sci/fi paranormal twist. I enjoyed getting to discover a new aspect of this rich paranormal world. I highly recommend this story, and all its predecessors.

This is the third book in the series, but I had no issues catching up with the highlights of Amanda’s previous adventures. If anything the tantalizing glimpses of the mysteries she’s attempted to solve in the past made me want to go back and read the first two instalments! Amanda is intelligent, resourceful and plucky, and those traits make reading about her adventures a real pleasure.

Jace Seymor is the strong silent type, with wounds that go deep in his soul. With a tortured past, he needs the release that pain brings him, and feels he needs to be punished. When he meets Aggie, she is the first woman who accepts his kinky side and doesn’t tell him he’s sick for it. As he grows closer to Aggie, he begins to learn more about himself, and slowly is able to see that there are people that really care about him. I like Jace for his sensitive and sweet side, and enjoyed watching as he was able to show it more as he and Aggie grew together.
Aggie Blake has never felt the need for a man in her life, at least until Jace Seymor came along. Something about his blond hair, innocent face and hot body draws out her desires and shatters the walls she keeps up against the world. I like Aggie for her honesty and her no-hold-barred attitude toward life. She is strong and independent, and watching her as she learns that, with the right person, submitting doesn’t mean weakness. She has never had a man like Jace, able to take it all and still respect her as an individual. I liked watching as Jace surprised her, over and over, warming the heart she didn’t know she still had.
This is one of the hottest of the Sinners on Tour books yet, with Aggie and Jace pushing each other’s limits until they both discover just how strong they can be together. These two are not perfect, but they are perfect for each other, and I enjoyed some of the scenes in Aggie’s dungeon as they explored each other’s boundaries. The action, and the sex, is definitely not for the squeamish, and if you aren’t sure about BDSM, this is not the book to read. I do recommend that these be read in a certain order, to get the proper sequence of events from the tour as Ms. Cunning has let it unfold instead of treating this as a standalone read. But be warned, this has one hot rocker with the face of an angel and the body of a sinner, and the woman who whipped him into love.
