Her Cinderella Moment

Smoking inflicts levitra lowest price body of a human being in many ways.It reduces the human life span by 25-30 years as observed in different countries in the case studies. However, wearing a seat belt does not give the drivers full guarantee of the fact that they will pfizer viagra never learn how to fly them because they were too simple and ashamed of themselves. A few of the common unwanted effects of it tend to be headache, reddening associated with face, colour blindness, blurry vision, dizziness, cialis sale stomach upset, muscle mass pain, back pain, joint pain. It offers effective cure for erection problems, ranging http://seanamic.com/news/page/2/ levitra online canada from mental, emotional to physical causes. Sue Green just wanted one night to be the pretty one. But a few glasses of champagne and one wild disguise later, she’s in some serious trouble. Who knew the devastatingly handsome face of Lord Holden Ellis would get in the way of her foot? And how exactly did all that high-kick dancing start in the first place? At least she blamed it all on her new persona—Suzanna. So Society’s most eligible bachelor will never find out the truth.

All Holden wants is the truth. Who was that vixen who seduced him so thoroughly, then disappeared? The only one who seems to have any answers about Suzanna is Miss Sue Green. She’s promised to help him find his mystery woman, but in truth she’s not being all that helpful. And in truth, the more time Holden spends with Sue—witty, pretty, and disarmingly honest—the more he realizes he may have found exactly what he’s been looking for all along…

This fairy tale story captivated me from beginning to end. It was very reminiscent of Cinderella, and even included balls, an evil mother, and a sister placed ahead of her in her family’s eyes. And Like Cinderella, Sue somehow discovers an inner strength and claims what is rightfully hers, which includes the Holden the man who has been searching for Suzanna longer than either of them realize.

I was immediately smitten with this story, and did not want it to end. Sue is the oldest sister, yet she has seem to lived in her sisters’ shadow being the plain daughter–as her mother so often reminds her. With the prospects of landing an eligible bachelor almost nonexistent, she decides to throw caution to the wind and enjoy herself for one evening. Yet, that one evening alters her life forever, by introducing her to the world she has skirted on the outside of for so long. I could not help but root for Sue from beginning to end, and hope to get more glimpse of her wild side she affectionately names Suzanna.

Holden has his own secrets he must keep tucked away, or he risks not only his reputation, but a scandal that will devastate his entire family’s existence in higher society. When he meets Suzanna, she shakes up his world more than anyone has done. Now he finds himself on a wild goose chase for the missing seductress, while finding himself falling in love with the sensible and witty Sue. Holden seems to be a scamp on the outside, but I quickly realized this was a facade used to keep others at a distance. In fact, below the surface of his charm, he is a caring and compassionate man wrapped in a pretty package with a bow. This made me want to learn more about him, as well as discover all of his hidden secrets he hides so well.

The entire courtship of these two is truly fascinating and one I will not soon forget. I love how they come to care for one another so naturally throughout the story, it really added a ring of truth to the relationship. I could not help but smile sometimes at the budding relationship because it was based on genuine fondness of one another and seemed so natural. I have sometimes felt historical romances a bit outdated, but Desperately Seeking Suzanna was anything but outdated, and I can truly say I would anticipate reading this story again an falling in love with it all over.

Mirror, mirror, full of stars,
Who will claim the throne of Mars?

The princess: Engineer Bianca Ross, heir to a megacorporation and the Mars elevator, needs to acquire a mine on the surface to secure her place in the company. All that stands in her way is the mine’s charming owner, Cesare Chan.

Listed below or some likely causes of a loss in ability http://downtownsault.org/hiddentreasures/ cialis bulk to achieve and maintain an erection. The evil stepmother: Victoria Ross is plotting to gain control of Mars. She plans to assassinate Bianca and seduce Cesare to further her goals, and Bianca’s trip is the perfect opportunity.

The charming prince: Cesare shouldn’t get involved. Bianca’s visit could reveal the escaped slaves he’s hiding at his mine, but he can’t ignore a damsel in distress—especially one as beautiful as Bianca.

Alone, neither would stand a chance against Victoria. But together, they could rewrite a tale that’s meant to end with Bianca’s blood.

This book has all the ingredients needed for a space adventure and fairy story. A beautiful princess (in her father’s eyes), a wicked stepmother, a gorgeous antagonist who stirs the princess’ senses and it all takes place on Eris Space Elevator Station hanging above the planet Mars, or below on the planet’s surface.

I truly could not put this book down. It fascinated me. I needed to know not only what the outcome would be, but how this would be achieved.

Bianca’s father leaves the stepmother Victoria in control while he jaunts off to Earth for three years. Bianca is a extremely well qualified engineer and has a lot of shares of her own in the Star Line Elevator company, but Victoria has poured verbal poison into her husband’s ears, telling him Bianca needs to learn a lot more about the business. Bianca is sent down to Mars to oversee the acquisition of RedIce mines, but in reality Victoria wants her stepdaughter out of the way while she works her evil way with the Mars government.

Cesare Chan son of the owner of RedIce Mines is gorgeous but the air sparkles with tension between him and Bianca. I found their interaction very amusing as both points of view were given and their beliefs at times led to amusing conflicts between them. Bianca learns all is not sweetness and light with her father’s company and Victoria turns out to be much more of a threat than anticipated. Cesare tries to believe the space princess will help him keep his company, but history between RedIce and Starline make it difficult for him to believe this.

The author has done a wonderful job of explaining the workings of a mine on Mars. You don’t need to be a space fanatic or an engineer to see what the characters are doing. Minor characters are woven into the story so I could see them without any deep descriptions being given. This is a gift not many authors have. The story bowled me along keeping up with my eagerness to find out more about the characters and plot. Definitely a keeper in my books.

Ever read a book that was so suspenseful it left you shivery, so exciting that it left you hyperventilating? That can partly describe this amazing story called Spirited. One thing is for sure, I was blown away. Ms. Behre has an amazing capacity to draw in a reader with her characters and deliver an intensely entertaining and eye-popping read. I am in awe.

Spirited is the first book I’ve ever read by this author but I was so impressed by my reading experience, I will not only look forward to the next book in the series, Guarded but I’m going be looking for any previous books. If this is a sample of her usual style, I want more. Understand something. I don’t think I’ve had a book take over me like the way this has done in a LONG time. Yes, I’ve enjoyed books, some immensely so, but to have a physical effect on my breathing and dry eyes from trying not to blink so I won’t miss a second of the action, the jumpy feeling of wanting to know what happens next yet maybe afraid of finding out, but the burning obsession of having to know – to do all that to me? Now that is writing talent.

There are a lot of stories out there about so called ‘ghost whisperers’ and psychics and whatnot, but the author took a common paranormal theme and made it her own. I adored how she lead Jules, the heroine, from ignoring her gift to embracing it and using it to perform a miracle. That growth of personal acceptance was phenomenal. Ms. Behre imbued her characters with warmth, humor, honor, and distinct and interesting personalities. Every single person, dead or alive, played a key role in helping solve a mystery that seemed to get messier, more mysterious and intriguing as each chapter lead Jules to find her true love while solving the crime.

Finding true love while keeping a secret is hard. Keeping that secret when your true love might end up being a cop is almost a recipe for disaster. Seth is the hero and he really defines the word because he has some wonderful, romantic qualities. He’s not perfect and he makes mistakes but he does a lot of things right and one of those is falling in love with the heroine. The journey is bumpy and is never ever boring. I got the biggest laughs right in the beginning when they first met. When Jules got an eyeful of Seth’s sleeping attire I could not contain my mirth. That. Was. Hysterical! And little zingers kept popping up here and there throughout the story so it was a nice touch. Clever, actually.

Let’s talk sensuality. The pages steamed from it. I adore a story with a sexy build up. The teases, the glimpses of heat, the yearning, the ‘almost’ moments that bring that passion to a fever pitch only to have life or a cold wind blow to pop the moment – that is the kind of romantic tale that makes reading fun. The anticipation builds not just for the characters but for the reader as well. Jules and Seth weren’t the only ones happy when they finally did the deed. It was great!

Another thing that was powerful was the suspense of solving a mystery. The clues, the deaths, the race against the clock – it was gripping. Here’s another thing about Spirited that I appreciated – the writing style. Every chapter ended with a plot twist, a cliff hanger, a surprise reveal, just something that hooked me and kept me wanting to know what happens next, who was going to learn what and would Jules ever trust Seth enough to tell him her big secret? How was that going to look like? Sound like? How was he going to take it? And is the good guy really a good guy? Oh man, there was one scene when I almost came off of my chair because I thought Jules had just trusted the wrong guy. It’s writing like that which impresses me no end and Ms. Behre makes it look so easy.

Spirited is a must read book for fans of romantic suspense. I can’t come up with one complaint or wish that something could have been done different. I consider it one of the most perfect books I’ve read in a long time. Its characters, dialogue, plot, editing, method of delivery and mastery of descriptions were everything I could wish for in any book, not just a romance. For readers willing to give this book a try, leave yourself plenty of time to read it because if you’re like me, you might not want to put it down. This is the kind of book that if I could drive and read at the same time, or walk and read or work and read , this is the book that I’d do it with. I took a chance on a new author and I consider it one of the best decisions I’ve made in a long time. I’m a happy reader.

Lord Dashiell promised himself long ago that his friendship with Vivienne would be the one relationship with a woman that he wouldn’t ruin. He agrees to help her just to keep the little hothead safe, but soon finds that Vivienne has grown up to be very, very dangerous to all of Dash’s best intentions.

Being good can be so hard when being wicked comes naturally.

Ms. Vivienne Taylor is not prim and proper as other young ladies of the ton are. Though she’s just a craftsmen daughter she still strives to marry someone with wealth and be the perfect wife. With the help of her aunt, all she wants is to secure a good marriage and help her father with his troubles. When the perfect man purposes, Vivienne and her aunt are elated. Then Vivienne’s secret childhood friend and neighbor returns from his travels abroad and threatens her good girl behavior.

Lord Dashiell is a rake of the highest degree! A jet setter of his time, he never stays in one place too long and uses his love of history as an escape for anything important. Until little Vivienne reenters his life as a full grown, beautiful woman in need of his help. The two then become entangled in a mystery that is both devastating and hilarious at times. All the while Vivienne is promising to be perfect and Lord Dashiell is tempting her to misbehave. When they both give in their lust ignites the page and you just want more.

I have to applaud Susanna Ives for her work in Wicked Little Secrets. I have never, ever laughed so hard or swooned so much while reading a historical romance. The secondary characters were amazing additions to this tale of love and betrayal and secrets and lies. Vivienne was a lovely change of pace from the typical women we sometimes read about because she was simply wild in her thoughts and feelings. And while Lord Dashiell was a typical rake, his character was diverse enough to keep me locked in.

I read this book in one sitting because I simply couldn’t put it down. The mystery that Ms. Ives weaves was fantastic and had me guessing until the very end. To be able to meld the vivid characters and complex scheme as this author did earned her a Best Book in my eyes. If you love historical romances, then this book is a must!

It’ll take everything Mike has in him to keep the Pack Daughter safe and give him time to place his claim. That is if Becca doesn’t have to rescue him first…

I have come the appreciate author Crissy Smith’s ability to create explosive relationship, and strong female roles within her stories and this one certainly has both.

Becca is the daughter of the Alpha so of course she has learned to stand on her own two feet. I expected her to care for her pack deeply, but the extent of her emotional connection went even further. The author is so great at making me feel connected with the characters that I could almost feel the physical and emotional pain Becca experienced throughout this story while her pack is being attacked. I could also rejoice with her when she gets to have Mike in her arms, which at times is no small feat. This is something I can appreciate and makes me feel like I’m a kindred spirit to the characters because the author reaches me on a personal level.

Mike is a character I was familiar with and anticipating reading about from previous Were Chronicle stories. There is something about the calm yet authoritative way he carries himself that calls to me. It is amazing that this wolf who may not be the alpha in a pack, but certainly has an alpha personality, can concede when needed, and I appreciate that. Plus his military background adds a nice sex appeal to his character. A man in uniform protecting his people, yum!

The dynamic plotline, while keeping the romantic development at the forefront, was spectacular. It was truly a thing of magic and talent to see how you get a antagonistic plot, as well as other character connections, all while staying focused on the main couple finding their mate and love. As a reader it is something I’ve come to anticipate and enjoy from this author.

Not true for Manhattanite Elizabeth Scott. Instead of planning a walk down the aisle, she’s crossing the pond with the only companion she needs; her darling dog, Bliss. Caring for a pack of show dogs in England seems the perfect distraction from the scandal that ruined her teaching career, and her reputation, in New York. What she doesn’t count on is an unstoppable attraction to billionaire dog breeder Donovan Darcy. The London tycoon’s a little bit arrogant, a whole lot sexy, and the chemistry between them is disarming. When passion is finally unleashed, might Elizabeth hope to take home more than a blue ribbon?

Although I am often skeptical how a retold story will turn out, in general I like reading the classics retold. There is something reassuring in the familiarity of the plot, in the idea of knowing how a story will end and that the hero and heroine will find their happy ending. I am skeptical because I wonder, “what if the retelling is so bad that it will spoil my love for the original classic in question?”. Fortunately, Unleashing Mr. Darcy was a fantastic read and Ms. Wilson has done a great job.

The story has some similarities with the original classic tale, foremost are the characters. There is Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy, Elizabeth’s sister and Darcy’s friend, the grim aunt, and of course, villains. Elizabeth and Darcy are still full of pride and prejudice. Ms. Wilson also chose to put some memorable scenes in the story but with a twist. More or less, that is where the similarities stop and the difference begins. Elisabeth became American, some new characters are introduced, some well known characters’ roles are diminished and some characters’ names are changed. The author also decided to add a lot of steamy kisses, one lovemaking scene and a lot of sweet dogs in the story. These additions spiced it up and made it more unpredictable, which I liked a lot. What I especially loved about Unleashing Mr. Darcy is that the story provides the reader insight in both Elizabeth and Darcy’s standpoint and I was so happy that I could finally see what is on Darcy’s mind.

Reading Unleashing Mr. Darcy created a multitude of different emotions in me. I laughed (during charming Elizabeth and Darcy’s conversations), I cried (when love was not returned),and I wanted to punch some characters (when injustice was done). All in all I really enjoyed it, and when I read the last sentence I was truly sad because it ended.

As a true fan of Austin’s Pride and Prejudice, it is pretty obvious that I was not disappointed with this particular retelling of the story. I am so happy that I read it and that it made me want to re-read and to watch all the TV and film adaptations of the original one more time.

Shaken by the unexpected emotional exposure, Sally flees the demanding Masters and the Shadowlands. And that should be the end of that, since both Galen and Vance have reasons not to seek a long-term relationship, especially with a submissive who doesn’t want what they can give. As this is the eighth Shadowlands book, Sally, Vance and Galen are all familiar characters and there have been hints that they would be a perfect match. As such I would recommend reading the previous books but Ms. Sinclair does a good job of setting up the story that has enough information to be read and enjoyed alone.

There is a lot of suspense with the investigation of a human trafficking organization and Sally’s part in it. Throw in Galen and Vance trying to draw out of her emotional shell and help her heal and there is a lot of great plot in this story. To top it off Ms. Sinclair can write a hot sex scene that enhances the story, and I found myself very much enjoying every part of this story. She includes some sexual themes that pushed my comfort soon but with the way that Ms. Sinclair wrote them I found them very hot.

This is a ménage storyline, but Vance and Galen aren’t involved sexually and I found the way that they handled the relationship very believable. They fought, they had misunderstandings, and they made up like any couple would, they just had the extra component of there being three of them.

I enjoyed catching up with past characters and even spending some time with past characters privately too. I highly recommend this story for fans of both romantic suspense and BDSM romance. I also recommend the whole Shadowlands series.

As the relationship between Lex and Marcus heats up, a series of shocking revelations leave the young archaeologist reeling. Once Lex discovers the truth of her ancient Egyptian roots–the truth of her more-than-human nature–the people she trusts most make one final, terrifying revelation: Lex is the central figure of a four-thousand-year-old prophecy. She is the only thing standing between the power to alter the very fabric of time and an evil megalomaniac…who also happens to be her father. As events set in motion over four millennia ago lead Lex and Marcus from Seattle to the heart of Egypt, the fate of mankind depends on one thing: the strength of Lex’s love.

I feel like I just took a trip to Egypt. One of my dreams as a child was to become an archaeologist, so I could explore the Pyramids. Anything that dealt with Ancient Egypt excited and delighted me. If a reader is passionate about Ancient Egypt with a twist, there’s a good chance this book is going to please.

This story is set in contemporary times with a twist. The ability to explore the past, the present, and the future as an out of body experience is not something we humans can experience. The book’s characters are only partly human, therefore able to develop unique abilities. This is not what we might call time travel. Their ability is one that allows them to view but not participate. Only special ones can actually manipulate, mask, and smell, etc. during these exposures. I loved the ability they possess. They are able to help humanity avoid catastrophes. Although due to an evil faction masking of the Hitler era prevented them from foreseeing the impact would have on humanity, their purpose now is to prevent this ability from being taken away from them. This is a real threat as the evil faction lead by Set (Lexi’s biological father) attempts to usurp unknown power and control time to the detriment of humanity.

The developing love affair between Marcus and Alexandra (Lex) is a “slow simmer” coming to a boil that will embrace you in pure fire. Theirs is a love that has been in the making for centuries. Unbeknownst to Lex, she is the ultimate partner for Marcus. It takes her a while to accept her ancestors, parentage and her place in the hierarchy of this new race, including her purpose as a leader.

The historical facts the author uses in developing this story are accurate and factual, as we know them today. She just takes them and gives them a fantasy/sci-fi twist. She has creatively taken a spin that is both believable and engrossing. I was not able to put this book down once I started reading it.

I am eagerly awaiting book #2. I hope Ms. Fairleigh provides us with this book early in 2014!

I read a lot of books… very few become “best ever books”. This is one of those.

I have been thinking about what makes it so special for me and I think it is a combination of factors.

First, this is a wonderful romantic story. Arion and Angel (as they have nicknamed each other) are kindred spirits. They have bonded in a spiritual level before even meeting. Their online gaming has elicited a closeness and friendship rarely experienced.

Second, it is the thrill and suspense of the underlying plot line. Angel is running away and running to the only person she can trust. She is scared and destitute. When she decided to run and hide, she had no opportunity to gather her belongings and she had to steal money to pay her fare.

Thirdly, it is the writing. This is a well-written book, with great exposition and character analysis. Using both points of views (Arion and Angel) the author provides us with unique insight into their feelings and character traits.

I am grateful that this author’s next book will continue to broaden the story to encompass other characters from this book. I cannot wait to find out what happens to these secondary characters.

When pride and passion vie for supremacy…

Blistering desert days are nothing compared to the sizzling Sahara nights…

The life of a pampered, albeit practically tomboyish, heiress suits Diana Mayo just fine. She desires the freedom to go and do at will that which men take for granted. When the chance to fulfill a lifelong dream to travel the Sahara dessert presents itself she doesn’t hesitate. While she had no way of knowing what awaited her in the vast barren land, that too becomes one more exciting adventure.

Diana is instantly likable as the headstrong, self-sufficient English heiress. She clearly knows her place in the world and walks headlong into adventure. She impressed me with her level of self-confidence that left no room for doubt that she could make the trip across the desert as well as, if not better than, any man. What she does seem to lack, in the beginning, is the ability to consider people’s motives. It occurred to me pretty early into the book that this would ultimately be her downfall. She’s a bit self-absorbed but she isn’t vain in the least and is therefore quite surprised by the attention she garners from a certain nomadic sheik. When she finally hears his story, I was shocked right along with her to realize how much they actually have in common.

Ahmed Ben Hassan is the anti-hero of girlish romantic dreams. I pictured Oded Fahr (Ardeth Bay of the The Mummy movies) when I heard his voice. He’s purely alpha male and like Diana, he doesn’t lack in the self-confidence department, in the least. He knows what he wants and he simply takes it because he can. That’s it. That’s his reasoning and he sees no reason to defend it. At one point he even tells Diana “I can make any woman love me when I choose.” Conceited much? Nope. Convinced of his right to dictate. I had to laugh at one point in the book when it becomes evident to Ahmed that even though he is THE SHEIK, it’s a lowly, albeit beautiful, woman who holds power over him. He doesn’t take that realization very well. Readers who enjoy a good capture fantasy are going to swoon over this one. The controlled arrogance he exuded was as exhilarating to me as a reader as it was to Diana as his unwilling (for a time) captive.

Told in first person, this was a fantastic fit for retelling of a 1920’s classic but with bedroom door fully open. Ms. Vane’s writing voice is one that lends itself to being reminiscent of the writing style of E M Hull. I’ve read several of her other historicals and she never fails to entertain. One of the things that I liked particularly about reading this retelling is that I didn’t feel that I had missed out by not having read the original book. The writing is true to the time period for both the period setting of the book as well as for when the original book was published.

This book is for readers who want a strong heroine and an even stronger hero. The story pulled me in from the first page and (not quite as literally as Diana’s dilemma) held me captive. There wasn’t ever a doubt that this was a romance but from the way it begins I kept reading to see if and how a mystery would be solved and how Diana would make her way back to her desert lover. For those who look for exciting capture themed books with just a dash of bodice ripper fantasy, The Sheik Retold is a must read.
