The world building here is a treat, with attention to detail and some small and intriguing facets to it. The characters are well defined, and the focus is on just two people, Dean and Carrie. There are others in the background, but not really interacted with in any major way.

Carrie is a strong woman, but is wounded inside. She was abandoned as a baby, left for a human family, and ridiculed most of her life due to her fairy heritage. She never knew her birth parents, and this is behind her insecurity with Dean…if they left her, why wouldn’t he? I liked that she was willing to walk away from her mate Dean if he couldn’t open up and share with her, but I also liked that she knew she would have to tell him her past as well. She is a combination of sweet and sensual, and she was strong enough to face her fears with Dean.

Dean is strong, determined and rough, and he doesn’t understand why communication is important to his mate. He does know he can’t bear to lose her, so he is ready to try something new. I liked that he was open to trying, and the idea of the special Easter basket for Carrie was a good one. I liked that Dean was willing to make some changes on his side, rather than demand Carrie do it all. His ability to compromise, and even to relax and let Carrie take control was a giant step for these two.

Carrie and Dean had some rough patches to work through, and this story shows how important communication is to any relationship. Once these two got into the spirit of the Truth or Dare cards, there were many possible outcomes, and this book explores the many options open to Carrie and Dean to bridge the difficult times and make their lives what they wanted. This is for those who like romance, magic and lots of heat.

It was slow to begin with, and then seemed to move a bit too fast at the end.

The premise of this story snagged my attention immediately. It was one of the most unique ideas I’d heard about in this genre recently, and I was curious to see how Savannah would recover from such a huge betrayal. It’s hard to discuss this part of the plot without giving away spoilers, but I was pleased by how this issue was dealt with. The ending left room for a sequel while also being satisfactory on its own.

I’d recommend Unexpected Vacation to anyone who is interested in getting to know characters well before things heat up. This is a nice, slow burn.

The scenes were both hot and I could tell the writer didn’t just put words down. But it really didn’t take from the actual story, so it may be able to be read as a stand alone.

I picked up this book, because of the fire play, which turned out to only be a small scene but the content of the story made up for the small bit of fire. Readers who look for some variety in their BDSM but also want the love and erotic romance should give this novella a try.

A strong, dominating hero who knows when to bend and when to stand firm. Mix these two characters in with some truly fantastic writing and this is totally going on my keeper shelf. Indeed, I happily read it twice before even coming up for air to try and assimilate it all in my head. An astonishingly good read from a surprising new author. I’ll definitely be checking more of Ms. Jaynes’ work out.

I haven’t read books 1 and 2, yet I still could make sense of the story line and loved it. I was all for the twins taking Cassie as their sub, however a few times my hand itched to strangle the twins. Other readers might even want to strangle Cassie a time or two, but that irritation was offset by the author engaging my feelings for Cassie.

Luc, Logan and Cassie had me huffing, puffing and lapsing into giggles – all good things. Their Temporary Sub was a very enjoyable read and I’d recommend it.

Emily Langnor, the heroine is a hard-working, burned-in-the-past woman. She doesn’t want to fall for Guy but as the chemistry between them soars, she finds that it’s impossible. I found Emily a nice enough character but from my point of view it’s Guy who carries the weight of the novel. His inner battle as he falls in love is worth reading.

Though the sex between the characters is hot, I found that the romantic gestures between the characters were the ones that warmed my heart the most. For instance, one of the parts I liked best was when Guy takes Emily to his favorite spot and tells her that frowning is prohibited. It made me sigh like a love-struck teenager.

All in all, I found that, editing mistakes aside, Once in a Lifetime was a pleasant read.

When I opened my file, the first thing that caught my attention (besides the hot cover) was an author’s note: a personal word from Ms. Sinclair to her readers. It made my heart swell and made me feel cared for.

My amazement didn’t end there, however. As I stepped into the novel I fell hopelessly in love with the Enforcer and Lindsey. The Enforcer, Zander deVries, is a sadist Dom, direct, crude, a bit of a bastard at times and yet, he’s so, so alluring. It could be his rare smile, his huge heart, his bravery, or that he knows when to step up and apologize. Regardless of what exactly it is, all I know is that I was in love with him from page one.

With Lindsey on the other hand, I cried. My heart went out to her. She’s in big trouble and as the author reveals bits and pieces about her and took me on Lindsey’s journey I truly felt for her. The Texan woman was not only sweet, with a warm and caring personality, she was brave; she was fearless through her fear.

The secondary characters I also loved, though I have to admit that maybe at times I found them too amazing. I wish I had friends like those: dominant Doms eager to protect me and their wives/girlfriends that would be by my side no matter what.

I don’t want to unravel too much of the plot, but Edge of the Enforcer is not only an extremely hot love story, part of its charm is that it has a solid suspense sub-plot. Like I mentioned earlier, Ms. Sinclair drew me into the story progressively, until I found that I couldn’t put the book down without my thoughts automatically turning back to Zander and Lindsey. Furthermore, the author describes beautifully. I was right there with the characters more than once: from dancing on the dance floor, to lying still under Zander’s command, to agonizing over certain matters.

Edge of the Enforcer is 334 pages but if you’re like me, you’ll zip through them and crave for more. A fantastic read that I will be re-reading again, no doubt.

Max and Ryan are all kinds of alpha hot. They’re possessive about Aubree and give her multiple reasons to want to be with them. I could have easily rooted for these guys. Plans are made and carried out and that has consequences. I was surprised by their reasons for doing what they did but not in a bad way. I simply didn’t anticipate it and that added to the story.

This is a short story and it moves really fast, which is good since it is short, but when I read the blurb it alluded to there being some M/M action. It is there but if a reader is thinking it’s an MMF menage, they’re going to be disappointed. On the other hand, readers who enjoy books where the guys are totally focused on the girl between them, will be quite happy. Ms. Parkerson built plenty of tension into this short story. Right up until there’s a no going back point, I could have believed and would have been satisfied with whomever Aubree chose. But that point does happen and the story plays out accordingly. I felt that it did end in an HEA, especially for Aubree but it also had closure for all parties involved.

Unsurpassed is the first book in Ms. Parkerson’s No Rival series. The second book sounds like it is just as exciting and nail biting so I’ll be adding it to my TBR list. Readers looking for alpha men with a penchant for mild BDSM should give this hot read a try.

Em Petrova is a new to me author and I will be on the look out for more from her.  Silk is a short read, no cliffhangers or sudden drops.  The concept of the story –wife gets to have her cake and eat it, too–it didn’t bother me, but it seemed like that was something that should have been addressed before the wedding. As most of us knows, communication works wonders.

All three characters, AJ, Jake and Wynne had emotions all over the place that they will need to get in touch with if only to keep from going crazy. You can tell from onset that Wynne still had feelings for her ex; AJ was her partner/lover for awhile. I can see the difference in both men, where Jake is more grounded and AJ is off the charts. In AJ’s defense…maybe Wynne and Jake are what he will need to settle his feelings. Wynne and AJ showed submissive tendencies a bit and Jake pushed out his Dom side a little. All the emotions and feelings flying around, and at the end will come to the middle. Jake I think showed a lot of understanding even in the real world not sure how many husbands would have been so accepting. We can’t give Jake a medal for wonderful husband though, he had some of his own fantasies running through his head.

All in all even with the lack of communication at the beginning it rounded out to be a interesting and believable story. The passion.. imagine more than one sets of hands on you? Passion…. imagine feeding your voyeur side and watching, or being watched… Silk was a good introduction to Ms. Peterova’s work.

I really liked Thom, he’s made more out of his life than the cards dealt him as the son of a thief. This is a shorter tale, and part of an already established, but other than mentioning past characters it was easy to follow what was going on.

The dragon, Glarzy, was an interesting character. He obviously was attracted to Thom and was willing and ready to worship him.

Unfortunately Thom is a bit overwhelmed and has never been with a man, though he has been attracted to them before. It’s an interesting idea, and I think it works because Thom does mentally acknowledge his attraction to men before he meets Glarzy, so it’s not just Glarzy although he is the one that Thom acts with.

I really enjoyed the idea of dragons living in the highlands, so I got my kilt wearing hero with the added benefit of the paranormal dragon hero. I easily fell into the story, and it was a great little fix of good storytelling and I definitely recommend it for a fast read that left me satisfied.
