Heidi Cullinan is easily one of my all-time favorites for M/M small town romance. I enjoy that she addresses the prejudices that can crop up in small town USA and that she meets it head on with characters that aren’t afraid to love each other despite the world around them.

Snow penises, that’s what sold this book for me, the cute way that Kyle and Paul finally saw each other as a possibility, the moment that Paul realizes that Kyle is all grown up. Kyle is the smaller of the two men, but he’s definitely in charge. I loved this about him, he’s not afraid to be everything Paul needs to fall in love and be happy.

The way that a good chunk of the town works hard to help Kyle woo Paul made me smile, and I loved catching up with past characters and the way they supported each other. I so want to visit Logan Minnesota myself, after reading this book, too bad it’s fictional.

For a good small town romance with a MM twist, look no further than Winter Wonderland, it has quirky characters, a warm fuzzy feeling and leaves the reader craving some Christmas cheer.

I kind of loved that about him, that he was very human and yet not. I also loved the way Luxi meets both men separately and yet falls for them both, and it helps the triad work well for them.

This is a novella, set in a world I’ve visited before, yet it is easily read as a delicious stand alone. There is a relationship between all three characters including some very sexy scenes between Amun and Leto. I enjoyed every scene, and I would gladly read a full length story with these three.

I highly recommend this story to fans of sci-fi menage romance who like when all three characters fully love each other.

This is a strongly written, well plotted erotic story. I enjoyed the author’s voice, and felt instant compassion for Jason and Heather. I was pleased Heather hadn’t put her dead husband completely out of her head, especially at the start of the story we see a lot of him through her thoughts – how she and Darren would have loved to play a huge party at Jason’s resort, the Blowhole, back when Darren was alive, or how difficult she found even the thought of submitting to someone other than Darren, the only man she’d been intimate that way with. It showed me that Heather had come through the grieving process, but made her feel a lot more empathetic to my mind. Yes, she’d loved Darren and lost him and she’d gone through the dark stages of grief, but she was ready to try and stumble her way back into the light and a full life again. This was an excellent set-up for me and I appreciated the author balancing the past and readiness for the future just right.

While I felt some of the conflict in the plot was a little clichéd, I really enjoyed how much of the tension and problems between Jason and Heather were poor communication through the bondage aspect of their relationship. Trust and a strong byplay and verbalization of everything is often critical to the highly emotional, and potentially risky, scenes. So while outwardly it seems simple to keep an open line of communication between partners, Little Rainbows reminded me just how elementally important such a thing is. And being able to back-track, to be honest about why they hadn’t admitted their insecurities and come back stronger really made me pleased as a reader and made me feel the connection between Heather and Jason grow stronger in a realistic, albeit simple manner. I really enjoyed that.

This is a well written full length novel. There is a huge amount of emotion in it, and a strong relationship being built from the start. The sex is tasteful and hot – and lavishly written. I enjoyed the plot, but found particular pleasure in Heather and Jason working through – together mostly – their issues and problems. This isn’t a traditional romance, but I feel strongly it will connect with many erotic romance readers.

I loved this book from beginning to end. The ugly parts and the pretty. The glamour and the underbelly. Drury Jamison shows us the world of submissive men and the vast rainbow of characters at any given BDSM event. Most novels I’ve read showcase the Dom, but not this one. This one glorifies strong women and the men behind them. It also shows the power struggle in some circumstances and just how real secrets can get in the cold light of day.

There was nothing I didn’t like about the book. The characters were rich, the scenes described beautifully and the interaction between the MC’s absolutely beautiful. Seeing Silver flourish and become the Domme as Anderson showed her what home meant was amazing and I had tears in my eyes on more than one occasion. It also had cutting edge mystery that kept you guessing who the murderer was until the moment it was revealed. Wow….wow.

I want more of Detective Silver and her man Anderson and I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to read this novel. Fans of Kallypso Masters, Sierra Cartwright and others that delve into the healing aspect of BDSM will adore this book.

I loved seeing Sophia blossom under Colby. He takes her into his world and opens her eyes to many new things.The two are hot together and the emotions run strong between them. It felt a little to me like the divorce papers were a catalyst for her, to make Nathan and her communicate their unhappiness in their relationship and start again. This felt to me rather like using a sledgehammer when merely opening her mouth and talking about their issues would have worked far better. While I’m positive such miscommunications occur all the time in real life, it wasn’t very sexy and left me with a bit of a sour taste in my mouth – that our hero and heroine couldn’t even speak coherently to each other about their wants and desires and try to fix their own unhappiness.

Once I had checked my brain at the door and just rolled with it, though, the chemistry between Susan and Nathan really was smoking hot and their sex was graphic and fun. There were some critical scenes toward the end that I felt really should have been shown to us – rather than “told” and merely mentioned in passing. These missing scene/s (a big confrontation when Susan learned the truth) also dampened my enthusiasm for the story, but I realize it’s possible the author ran out of space with a word limit. Still, the sex scene was hot and I enjoyed how Susan finally let Nathan fulfill a few of her fantasies and they dabbled in a bit of (very, very mild) bondage. The story ends on a happy, positive note, and hopefully it’s the start of them communicating and really trusting each other into the future.

For readers who want a fun, sexy “getting back together” style story this might be one to try.

Caroline in not knowing how she feels about the lifestyle and the things James wants to potentially explore. James who seems always the rock in the relationship, yet experiencing his own insecurities as they explore more about themselves both as individuals and as a couple. It make them more realistic and believable.

Mark is a character I did not learn too much about throughout the process. He clearly was a caring man who just wanted to find his place. I like that he is attracted to Caroline and respects his friend to allow him to set the pace and is just thankful for any involvement he is allowed. He is definitely someone I would have liked to have gotten to know a bit more.

The BDSM element in the story is something I appreciated. For the most part it was fairly accurate. It is a topic I am very familiar with and I only noticed one or two inconsistencies. For example, the author used the world flog in one scene when it was really a spanking not a flogging. Additionally, I think how the roles in the relationship were determined I would have like to have seen more of. For example it is clear by the end of the story Mark is more of a switch than a Dominant. It would have been interesting to see how he came to this conclusion. These are really minor things, and overall the average reader would probably no pick up on them. Compared too many other stories on BDSM this one is accurate as to the emotional development/discovery which I appreciate. It shows how important the decision is and that it is as much an emotional growth as it is a kink one.

I would certainly recommend this story to others, and I actually plan on doing so. Plus it has some interesting plot twists that really leave you wanting more in the end.

This book had a lot more detail about Damon’s friend Pete, and Pete’s lover, Christian. I was really excited about this, as we were somewhat introduced to Christian in Milling and it’s clear the man has quite the background and story to tell. There’s also quite a bit more mystery in this book than the previous two. Toby and Damon’s “stalker” is a far more prominent plot point and I really enjoyed seeing this aspect of their story come more into the foreground.

I felt this book had something for everyone – a really solid, sexy hot M/M relationship, good friends and strong secondary characters coming into their own, and a mystery plot really blossoming and coming into fruition. While not all the plots were wrapped up neatly – clearly there is at least another story in the series – I felt there was definite progression in the overall story arc and I enjoyed the strong steps forward both Toby and Damon (and Peter and Christian) made.

This is a hot, sexy read with a fair bit of kink and a well-established, loving couple as the main protagonists. I thoroughly enjoyed it and am looking forward to the next installment. Recommended.

This book is hot, hot, hot. The interaction between Abby and the sexy stranger is a scorcher and there is a certain mix of trepidation due to the fact she is married. You don’t usually find married women in romance novels where they go off with another man while they are married but in this case it serves to act as a page turner. There are some interesting developments toward the end of the story and I can’t decide if I wanted it to go that way or just outright have her do something different. (I can’t say more or I’ll spoil it for you!)

The dialog, the action, the characters all were well done and I wanted the story to go on and on. Especially certain parts, but I’ll leave it to you to figure out just what those parts might be. Abby is a woman on the cusp of realizing her wants include things that go beyond being a wife and mother. She wants a hint of naughty in her life and she is fast finding out just how to find it.

As a married woman, I could identify with the situation she finds herself in. Do the dare or not. Go the extra step or not. Go home to her husband or explore the needs that have found their way into her life. It’s a tricky little pickle but the author handles it very well.

If you’re looking for a short hot read this summer, then you have to give this book a try. Just remember to have a glass of ice water nearby for the heat wave that’s coming.

I give high marks for the stunningly imaginative sex scene that Ms. Knight created in Armored Hearts. Because this is science fiction, the author was able to let her imagination run wild and what she came up with was sexy, titillating, exciting and completely unique. If I could have an experience like that just once, I’m pretty sure I’d probably end up speaking gibberish because the afterglow would be so overwhelming, if I could speak at all. The description was mind blowing. The story is really good but this scene is the brightest gem in the treasure chest.

Zara and Rand are on opposite sides of a conflict. The author created the sense of otherworldliness by word usage and references to objects that are common place to her characters but are pure science fiction fantasy and it was a lot of fun seeing what Ms. Knight came up with. Yet, the war that Zara is fighting in and the villains she’s fighting against parallel our own earthly struggles. It was easy to connect and relate to the heroine’s devotion to fight. Rand, on the other hand, isn’t on the villain’s side because he believes in the cause, but because he’s a paid fighter. He has a brain and a stronger moral fiber than the minions around him. As such, the hero comes to the decision that money isn’t everything. Sometimes a person has to take a stand against injustice and vicious tyranny but it becomes even easier when you have something beyond yourself to fight for. In this case, love. Tara’s ‘it’ for him, but they’re surrounded by the bad guys, so how is he going to get them both out alive? The hero has a plan. That was fun reading.

Except for a few missing word blips in the editing, this short story is flawless. Ms. Knight manages to give a reader a meaty plot, a noble cause, exciting shoot ‘em ups and examples of vampire fighting prowess. The author also gives erotic romance readers plenty of eroticism to enjoy and be entertained by, and they were placed within the story where they played a role in developing the relationship between Rand and Zara. Whenever I read a book written by Ms. Knight, I am always satisfied on so many levels. She gives her characters heart, she gives readers a reason to care, and love is always the greatest reward.

If a reader is seeking a short story that has the taste and feel of a full novel, but takes a fraction of the time to read and enjoy, then pick up a copy of Armored Hearts. It’s a sure pleaser.
