Working at the Craft Emporium keeps Adam Martinez busy during the holiday season he absolutely hates. Enter elementary schoolteacher David Okoye, who can’t get enough of Christmas or craft supplies. David is cute, wholesome, and Adam can’t deny a little bit of a crush.

Making the holidays special for his students is only part of the reason David makes excuses to go to the Craft Emporium. He also holds a torch for Adam. He takes it as a personal challenge to show Adam how to enjoy the holidays when he asks Adam to teach him to knit. David promises the holidays can be wonderful when shared with the right people, but how can they share them when David is going home to his family and Adam will be left all alone?

Adam isn’t keen on Christmas, usually choosing to work through the holiday period, but hunky school teacher, David, loves the season and even helps lead a part-activist part craft club for the local school children. Adam can’t help his curiosity and so he looks more into The Santa Project, and the intriguing David.

I could totally understand Adam’s distaste for Christmas – I was pleased the author had a solid explanation for that and not just a general bah-humbug sort of story behind Adam’s feelings. I also really appreciated that Adam was open minded and that his curiosity and interest in David had him keeping his thoughts flexible. I also really enjoyed how Adam and David didn’t take the more physical side to their relationship too fast. The heat and intensity grew between them, and I enjoyed the fact they enjoyed each other sexually as well as outside of the bedroom.

With a good plot revolving around Adam’s intense – and believable – dislike for Christmas and David’s equally strong desire to show Adam the good side to many of the traditions, this felt like a really well balanced story. Add in a few steaming hot sex scenes and I feel there is something for most readers to find really enjoyable in this fun and short Christmassy story.

There is more truth in Olly’s stories than he realises. If he is to have any chance of righting past wrongs and rescuing his prince, Olly must navigate the truth in his old stories and discover the magic right in front of him. But Olly has a powerful enemy on the Llŷn, an ancient king who would like to end Olly’s story-telling permanently.

Everyone knows the question about which came first, and it’s usually about chickens and eggs. However, in this instance, which came first – the Greek Sirens or the Welsh Morgen? I’ve finished this book and I still don’t know the answer. What I do know is how incredibly well-written it is, being full of Welsh mythology, legends, lore, and magic.

There is a haunting quality to this story, from beginning to end, with a touch of mystery. The romance side is full of problems and setbacks, being the ultimate slow-burner. There are a couple of love scenes that go into some detail, but nothing too detailed.

This is a long book with plenty of detailed descriptions. An excellent cast of characters helps to build this story up to it’s perfectly paced climax. Although this is the first book in the series, I feel it is a complete standalone. I would love to continue the series just to see where it takes me next.

I have enjoyed every single scene in this book and have absolutely no hesitation in recommending it.

Keni is the lead dancer and completely bowled over when he meets Sean. The chemistry between the two men is off the charts – can they find something special together this Christmas-time?

I enjoyed this Christmassy short story. I found it really refreshing for there to be a stack of strong male characters unapologetic about their love for dance and doing what they really enjoyed. While I felt the conflict between them was a little over-dramatic it added a good contrast to all the chemistry brewing between Keni and Sean and the happiness of the pre-Christmas cheer. I was also pleased that the short length of the story meant the tension and mis-understanding between Keni and Sean couldn’t last too long.

I was surprised how intense the single sex scene between the two men was toward the end of the story. There is tons of chemistry between Keni and Sean so watching them come together and consummate their relationship is lovely.

Readers looking for a Christmassy and sexy quick read should find this very satisfying. I enjoyed this story and think it’s a good story to add to the to-read pile for the holiday season.

Devastated, Chad accepts Joy’s offer of sleeping on his couch while Chad tries to piece together his life once again.

This is a lovely – but very emotional – short story. I felt really bad for Chad and was pleased he had Joy as a quasi-friend and certainly supportive person in his life. With the whole story told from Chad’s perspective I wished in a few places that we could have seen things from Joy’s point of view as well. While I had no doubt that Joy felt equally attracted to Chad it would have been nice to see where Joy’s head was at a few times throughout their coming together.

I mostly enjoyed the secondary characters. I wondered a little bit if Frank – Joy’s best friend – might have a few repressed feelings for Joy, again not seeing anything except through Chad’s eyes made this a bit hard to determine, but overall it added a good layer of complexity and conflict into the story and I felt the author did a good job of balancing this all out and not making the tale too sweet.

Equal parts funny and bittersweet, I found this to be an enjoyable story that was both realistic and full of slightly insane characters. A different and unique style of Christmas story this was a great read and an enjoyable tale.

Drake and Jeren are set up by their mutual friends Denny and Cain. Both men have been searching for something a little more hard-core, something specific. Can they find their way together?

This is a scorching hot short story. While it’s the fifth – and last – in the Hard Candy collection, I was pleased to find it effectively a stand-alone story and there’s no need to have read the previous installments to really enjoy this one. Drake and Jeren are both interesting characters that I really enjoyed. They compliment each other well and this is evident in their near instant chemistry and the way they slot together so easily.

Jeren has a number of body piercings and both needs and enjoys the kink. Derek is a strong Dominant and between them they manage to burn the pages up together. Readers looking for something a little more gentle – or exploratory, rather than explosive – won’t find what they need here. Despite this I found the connection and need from both men to be really emotional and caring. I didn’t find their desire for BDSM or what they did together to be edgy or over the top. They were still both safe, sane and consensual so I feel readers wanting just a little more bite to their erotica should find this very satisfying.

With toys and plenty of BDSM elements this is a hot and sexy short story that I really enjoyed. A little harder than many styles out there this won’t be to everyone’s tastes, but I found it well worth the read and a great, sexy story with two interesting and vibrant characters. A great read.

In order to protect Seth and his new friends from Alex’s big fists, Mike may be forced to make a decision he’ll regret for the rest of his life.

If you are looking for a light, fast-paced cowboy romance, then you will be happy with this one. This is definitely a case of opposites attracting as Seth and Mike appear to be different in every way. Mike won’t have any of it when Seth knocks himself down though.

Although the pacing of this book is fast, though I’m not sure if it is just how it is written – with time disappearing in a couple of sentences. The story goes from now to next month in the blink of an eye, and then it feels like significant time has passed but then references to ‘yesterday’ will be made.

This is the start of a new series so there is the world-building of the Seven-Plus ranch and its owners, Parker and Royce, as well as the story of Seth and Mike. There is also another character, Randy, who shows up at random times and I’m not yet sure if he will play a bigger role in the stories yet to come. The issue with Mike’s past is easily and conveniently dealt with, leaving Seth and Mike free to get their HEA without any interference.

A short, light read, perfect for a coffee break.

Luce had an enormous hole in his house where his idiot ex-boyfriend had plowed his car into the wall. Darren had been hearing about Luce from his mother for ages, and when he is dragged – literally – into helping fix Luce’s problem the two men realised that their meddling families might be very well right.

I enjoyed this fun and fast-paced short story. Luce and Darren have some instant chemistry and after some flirting they discover they are delightfully well suited. With a bunch of meddling family – from both sides – it was funny how surprised Luce and Darren were to discover the other wasn’t anything like they had imagined from all the tall tales. I found it refreshing and quite lovely how they connected so well and almost instantly. While this aspect wasn’t exactly realistic it was delightful and helped move the pace of the story along well, to my mind.

Aside from a few chaste kisses and a bunch of flirting there’s nothing too intense to this story. I actually didn’t mind this as it fit the whole theme of the two men only just meeting and needing to complete the goal of fixing Luce’s damaged house in time for the Christmas holiday period. I found the ending very satisfying – with a strong hope and intention for the future – and feel this story really delivers on the feel-good and warm-fuzzy vibe that is so important to Christmas stories for me.

Fun and with plenty of chemistry, I found this to be a great, short, Christmassy read.

Foster, who works in the offices where Benjamin works, is a Dom and he knows Benjamin will be his one day, he just has to keep at him, because Benjamin never said NO to advances. A friend brings them together and right from the start, sparks fly!

Hot hot hot, as well as cute wasn’t something I expected to be putting in the same sentence but I did love this book.

It’s really powerful, Benjamin’s reaction to Foster’s Dom voice, and how deep in makes him sinks into his submission. But equally, its really lovely, just how much Foster wants to look after Benjamin. Which is why I think its hot, but cute!

I have just one niggle.

Only Benjamin has a say in this book. It’s all in his POV. I would LOVE to have heard from Foster, it would have been the icing on the cake, and it would have, even for a short 70 odd page book, made it a 5 star read.

But since we don’t hear from Foster, this is a very VERY good, cute and hot (still chuckling at putting those words in the same sentence!) 4 star read.

When a Dom invites a shy bookstore owner to live out his fantasies, more than one life will be transformed.

Words are Heath Snow’s life. He can’t remember a time when he didn’t have his nose buried in a book. He couldn’t make a living as a writer, so he did the next best thing—he bought a bookstore. But when he’s not selling books, he’s living vicariously through the characters he encounters. Real men can’t hold a candle to the hot men in his favorite genre.

The Pride display in the bookstore window may be what captured Xavier James’s attention, but the man enthusing about books interests him more. The BDSM book lying next to the cash register is a pleasant surprise, and when he draws attention to it, Heath’s flushed cheeks and bright eyes pique Xavier’s curiosity even further.

Xavier is about to learn that some things are more important than work, and Heath is about to step out of his comfort zone, into a place where fantasy and real life coexist.

Heath has always adored his books and words, but when writing turns out to not be for him it’s a natural progression for him to own his own small book store. He loves nothing more than talking books and making recommendations to his customers and finds happiness here. Xavier is more than a little intrigued not just by the handsome owner, but by the well-read BDSM book Heath next to the register. Can these two men find themselves on the same page?

I found this to be a wonderfully paced full length novel. I really enjoyed how the author had the time and space to slowly introduce me as the reader to both Xavier and Heath’s characters, letting me get a good feel for both what they were like and where they were in their lives. This helped me really see not only how they could work together as a couple, but believe in their relationship and understand how they fitted together and meshed so well. Readers who enjoy a slower pace and fuller experience of the characters should find this story really suits their tastes.

The authors’ voice was modern but really relatable, I found myself easily slipping into the story and I related particularly well to Heath, finding a number of common points with his love of books, reading and the simple enjoyment of sliding into a good book and losing sense of time and real life struggles. I really loved how realistic and smooth the story felt to me – and how this made Heath and Xavier’s compatibility so much more believable and lovely to my mind.

I also really enjoyed the intimacy and sex between Heath and Xavier. While smoking hot, there was so clearly emotion and strong feelings between the two men it wasn’t just sex and kink for the sake of it. I really came to believe both men adored each other and relished exploring their sexuality together – particularly when it came to the club Xavier was a member of and the realities and fantasies of BDSM. I enjoyed the good balance I feel the author struck between Heath’s expectations and desires from reading fiction and how it meshed and coupled with the realities and possibilities of a true, living BDSM relationship. I feel the author did a great job with this, keeping it sexy and interesting but still realistic and logical. In particular, the depth of feeling and deeply emotional connection between Heath and Xavier really sold the story for me. Add on an interesting and well-written plot that didn’t seem to just be a quick throw-in and the story overall felt really well rounded and balanced to me.

Full of interesting characters, a deeply emotional relationship and a good, solid plotline this full length story ticked all the right boxes for me and I really enjoyed it. Recommended.
