Ryujin, or Jin to his friends, is a dragon shifter and his role as Captain of the Dragon Guards puts him in direct conflict with Mikhail. The minute he sees Mikhail he knows what he wants. Now if he can only get Mikhail to see the same.

Sam and Bob are back, but this time Mikhail is the one who’s falling in love. I really love the way these stories are put together, and I recommend this series be read in order. I enjoy the way that it still predominantly features Sam and Bob from the first book but also focuses on secondary characters from previous books and allow their story to be told.

I loved Mikhail from the moment I met him the first time, he’s a unique mix of supernatural creatures but is always taking care of his friends. Jin won me over from the moment he appeared, he was full of action and definite passion for Mikhail.

This case was very interesting. It has an old style detective novel feel with a sci/fi paranormal twist. I enjoyed getting to discover a new aspect of this rich paranormal world. I highly recommend this story, and all its predecessors.

The spaceship, Questor, is caught in an unknown phenomenon that results in the vessel being transported far from home. Desperately low on supplies, the crew discovers a solar system with two inhabited worlds where they hope to find assistance. Captain Sullivan visits the first world, Midea, while sending a small expedition to the second planet, Rhiava. When Jon and Manny try to land on Rhiava, however, they discover a strange energy field encircling the planet, which causes their vessel to crash.

Rescued and befriended by Rhiava natives, Jon and Manny learn the truth about the oppression of the Mideans. The Rhiava aren’t the simple people they first appear, having strong mental skills they call Gifts. Helping the Rhiava leader, a young female called Triena, to reach safety, Jon and Manny travel across the planet’s surface. During the dangerous journey, Jon and Triena become close, and she’s devastated when he’s captured and tortured by Midean forces. But Jon refuses to disclose anything he’s learned, and though he’s finally rescued with help from Triena’s Gift, he has been hardened by the ordeal.

The Questor eventually arrives at Rhiava, its crew having learned the truth about the Mideans. Knowing that if they assist the Rhiava against the Mideans and succeed, they will receive all the supplies they need, Captain Sullivan decides to help. After Triena reveals some of her people’s secrets to the Questor crew, they plan an attack on the Midean base.

After spending three years in space, exploring their assigned quadrant but finding nothing, the Questor is finally returning home. Suddenly they find themselves in the middle of an unknown dangerous phenomenon which throws them wildly off-course, so far that it will now take twenty years at best to get home, not six months. They don’t have enough supplies and they also have damaged systems, so when they discover two inhabited worlds, they hope for assistance. Captain Sullivan puts the Questor in orbit around the first planet, so he can begin negotiations there, and meanwhile, Jon Hardaway and his best friend Manny take a two person shuttle to the other planet. Jon discovers that the second planet is heavily shielded, and he and Manny end up crashing onto the surface, barely surviving. It is then that they discover that any help they receive will come at a very high price.

L. S. Gibson has written an exciting story which captured me from the very beginning. The characters are engaging and the mystery surrounding the Mideans and the Rhiava is both complex and intense. I really like the Rhiava as a people, and it turns out that they have mastered advanced technology but then chose not to use it. As their Spirit leader Triena says, “We’re not against technology in principle. We still use certain kinds if it will benefit us, providing its use isn’t detrimental to the natural balance of our world. We use the Gift to help keep the planet in good order and the planet gives us the Gift, so to each other, we are the Treasure.”

Unfortunately, the Rhiava run up against the Mideans, a power hungry race who thinks only in terms of weapons and wealth. I found this conflict to be very realistic, and while the setting for this novel is far away, the problems of using technology without harming the environment is one we face on a daily basis. Jon and Manny quickly decide to aid the Rhiava in any way they can.

The plot takes many twists and turns, keeping the tension building until the end. And the ending is rather like the solution to a mystery novel in that all the clues are there, but I was totally taken by surprise. The dialogue is a bit stilted and the characters all talk in much the same voice, but the telepathic thoughts are very well done. There is a lot of diversity in the inhabitants of this world, and the descriptions of the planet are excellent. I really felt as if I were part of the story.

Lovers of fantasy are sure to enjoy Questor. The exciting, fast-moving pace along with the wonderful characters make this a sure-fire hit.

His father died. His mother abandoned him. In the depths of space, darkness seeks him.

Abandoned by his mother after his father’s death, Gethyon Rees feels at odds with his world and longs to travel the stars. But discovering he has the power to do so leaves him scarred for life. Worse, it alerts the Siah-dhu—a dark entity that seeks his kind for their special abilities—to his existence, and sets a bounty hunter on his trail.

When those same alien powers lead Gethyon to commit a terrible act, they also aid his escape. Marooned on the sea-world of Ulto Marinos, Gethyon and his twin sister must work off their debt to the Seagrafter captain who rescued them while Gethyon puzzles over their transportation. How has he done this? And what more is he capable of?

Being different is never easy. Gethyon Rees learns that at a very early age. Even as a six-year-old he is tormented and teased. His twin sister, Callon, fits in just fine. The twins are being raised by their grandfather after the death of their father. Their mother dropped them on her father-in-law’s doorstep and abandoned them. Gethyon cannot understand why his world seems so different from everyone else’s. But when he inadvertently triggers powers that he never knew he had, he begins to realize just how different he is.

Pippa Jay has written an action-packed, fast moving, and very powerful story. Gethyon is a complex young man, and he is easy to identify with. He has no idea how he manages to open up gateways to other places. He doesn’t understand who he is or how he got his abilities. But he learns all too quickly that the Siah-dhu, a dark entity, is seeking him because of his powers.

Not only is Gethyon a strong character, but the others he interacts with are also richly drawn. Callon loves her brother even though she doesn’t always understand him. Embar, their grandfather, is a very sympathetic character. He is still mourning the death of his son who had fallen in love with a woman from a different world, and he has no idea what to do with Gethyon. And Quin, the twin’s mother is very complex. She has left her children so that they might have a chance to live a normal life, not realizing that Gethyon has inherited her powers. We learn of her heartbreak at the death of her husband and the loss of her children, as she, too, has to keep running from the Siah-dhu.

The various settings for this novel are rich in detail. The reader can easily move right into these strange worlds, seeing and feeling the environments. The plot line is simple in the overall arc. Gethyon has to figure out his powers, save his family, and try to conquer the darkness. But the reality of these tasks is far from simple or straightforward, and the obstacles are overwhelming at times.

Gethyon is a wonderful coming-of-age fantasy novel. It contains a depth of understanding that goes beyond the action adventure. Topics such as family, loss, the use of force, and good versus evil, are all dealt with skillfully and sensitively. I can recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading well-crafted fantasy.

This time, the straight-and-narrow path could be the road to ruin.

Dr. Elyse Morgan’s mission: find the cure to the HTN4 virus. The compensation, courtesy of the United Nations: a lab stocked with hi-tech goodies, limitless resources and enough chocolate to make her rear look like a cellulite farm. Bonus: she gets to live.

Rescued (kidnapped) and secreted (imprisoned) on an undersea warship, Elyse adjusts to her assumed identity as a cadet with the finesse of a toeless ballerina. Her sulfuric temper and blatant insubordination capture the unwanted attention of the ship’s captain, the gorgeous, infuriating, engaged Nicoli Marek.

Elyse would rather perform her own autopsy than become the other woman, but Nicoli—who’s as full of himself as he is of secrets—regards his impending marriage as a mere political transaction. And Elyse as fair game.

As Elyse’s suspicions about the UN’s true agenda mount along with her attraction to the relentless, chronically shirtless captain, she must choose between the murky path to everything she’s ever wanted, or the squeaky-clean path of self-sacrifice—which could mean taking the secrets of the virus with her to the grave.

It’s a race to save the world, keep your life, and…fall in love? Okay, so that’s an unexpected bonus. But the road to get there is a bumpy ride, so fasten your seat belts and hang on tight…Oh, and keep all hands and feet inside the contraption at all times!

If it seems the weight of the world falls on Elyse Morgan’s shoulders, you’re probably right. A woman on a mission can only mean one thing- trouble! Does she find it? I’d have to say yes. Elyse is one tough cookie–as long as that cookie is chocolate, that is. That’s her weakness. If someone told her to come to the dark side because they have chocolate, well the fate of humanity may be lost forever. Okay, seriously, Elyse’s character is definitely tough. She’s got so much to live and fight for, and it’s not easy to take her down. The story is written in first person, which is Elyse’s, so we definitely get a lot of insight about her character.

Co starring with Elyse in this story (and not too happy about sharing the spotlight, perhaps?) is the ship’s captain, Nicoli Marek. He’s a character to get used to. I did not like him for most of the story. He’s a bit stuffy, and to be honest, full of himself. His attitude is not one to root for, and there were times I wanted to jump into the pages and give him a nice smack. He doesn’t treat Elyse very kindly, and he has a tendancy to be a jerk. Need I say more? I think that’s where my problem lies within this book. Yes, he does have a few redeeming qualities, but you have to look very hard to find them.

As for the premise of this story- I loved it! It’s unique and fun, and very fast paced. The world created by the author is a job well done. Readers can tell that it wasn’t just thrown together. The sci fi aspect grabbed hold of me and took me along for a great adventure. I could look past my hero issues because of how well written the rest of the story is.

Overall, this is a great book! Very well played out and the plot stands out and brings plenty of tension. If you like a bit of science fiction blended in with a romance, and want an adventure to keep you on your toes. Degrees of Wrong is a good place to start.

Pamela Kimball’s birthday present, a 1Night Stand adventure, promises to jump start her life, put a new man in her bed, and help her forget her past. Unfortunately, movie-buff Pam’s Pirates of the Caribbean fantasy takes an alarming wrong turn when she’s abandoned on a not quite deserted island—with ex-husband Roger Ware.

Forced by hunger to accept Roger’s offer of dinner, Pam realizes the geek she married has transformed into one of the most charming, sexiest men she’s ever met. His newfound confidence—and hot body—re-kindles old fires. A simple kiss leads Roger to challenge her to discover how much his lovemaking skills have improved, leaving Pam torn between self-preservation and burning desire.

With time running out before they’re rescued, Pam must decide if her heart can survive the consequences of becoming Roger’s “almost” perfect 1Night Stand.

Madam Eve’s One Night Stand is where all your fantasies can be realized, no matter what they may be.

Divorced for five years and celibate for two, Pamela wanted a pirate adventure along the lines of Pirates of the Caribbean. Instead of being ravished by Captain Jack Sparrow, she wanted to have an unforgettable night with Will Turner (or maybe Orlando Bloom!).

Her friend Sue helped her set up her adventure with Madame Eve as a birthday gift to her, and off she went to the Castillo Resort in Miami. So obviously the only thing to do about it is that it is known to affect men above 40 but a well versed tadalafil tablets india check content study has revealed that ED can affect men of all ages. Excited beyond all reason Pamela couldn’t wait to board the boat that would start her adventure. Instead of being wrapped in the arms of Orlando, she was unceremoniously hauled off the boat, placed in a dinghy and marooned on a desert island. Furious and thinking she was alone, she turns around and is faced with none other than her ex husband Roger. Of all the people in the world why was her “Pirate” her ex husband, and why wasn’t he dressed like one?

After reading the blurb for this story I knew this would be a fun read, especially since she had divorced Roger because the sex was boring. She referred to sex with her ex as being ‘Pee-Wee’s Big Top Adventure with the good bits taken out.’ That had me chuckling which made me look forward to reading more of this delightful story.

This is a short story but it had characters that I liked and wanted to see back together. Everything to Pamela was like a movie, and all the movies mentioned I had seen so I could truly relate to what the character was describing. Personally, though, I would prefer Captain Jack to Will Turner, but that’s just me.

Interview with Storm Grant

Who are your latest crushes (celebrity, book character, or otherwise)?

I’ve been re-watching an 80s vampire show called Forever Knight, and I do find Det. Nick Knight sexy. I like Atticus in Kevin Hearne’s Iron Druid Chronicles. But I think I’m actually between crushes at the moment. My last huge crush was Dr. Rodney MacKay on Stargate: Atlantis. (I’m all about the characters, rarely the actors.)

Do you ever keep those people in your mind when writing your own works?

You’d think that would be true since I cut my teeth writing fanfic, and indeed, many authors use celebrities or TV characters as a basis for their own. But I prefer to come up with my own people. Within a very few paragraphs, my characters become real people to me. I wish I could hang out with Dolly and Oz or Adrian and Tom.

If you could pick anyone in the world to be the cover model(s) on your latest release, who would it be?

Funny, but a bunch of writer friends and I were talking about that over dinner yesterday. In Few Are Chosen, my POV character is a 19-year-old boy who is tall, with blonde hair long enough to be tied back. I was trying to figure out who, among today’s young actors, would fit that description, and came up blank. Any suggestions?

The love interest, Shadow, is also 19, black, with dark skin tones, knife-sharp cheekbones, soft, generous lips, and a medium-length, natural afro.

I’d love some suggestions.

I actually commissioned an artist I found on the Deviant Art site to do my cover for Gym Dandy. We’re three years in and I’m still not sick of it.

What’s your favorite hobby outside of writing?

Dogs. I have two rescued dogs who are the center of my universe. There’s an amazing chain of old-growth forested parkland running through Toronto and I’m there with my dogs every morning before 7:00, winter or summer. It’s good for all of us.

What would constitute your own personal happily ever after?

I’m pretty much living it. My husband and I are childless by choice, but active with our many nieces and nephews. We have a nice house in a nice neighborhood of Toronto. I’m writing full time, and I have two groups of wonderful friends, the first I met over a dozen years ago through fandom, and the second I met three years ago through the RWA (Romance Writers of America). I have an active online life, and a satisfying offline one, as well.

Although we aren’t wealthy by any stretch of the imagination, we are comfortable. And I’ve found a wonderful, cheap place in Mexico to spend a month each winter. San Miguel de Allende is a writer’s paradise, and my husband loves it too. He spent so much time out cruising the town while I wrote, that he became known around town as “Walking Guy.” “Hey, look. There’s Walking Guy!” or “I know you. You’re Walking Guy.”

Do you own an e-reader?

The gals I worked with gifted me with a Kobo as a retirement gift. I wouldn’t have bought one, but it is very handy. Even though I read fanfic on the computer for years and years, I still prefer longer works in hard copy. If anything happened to it, I would probably replace it with an iPad rather than another dedicated e-reader.

Are you a book hoarder?

Not really. If I read a book, I add it to my Excel spreadsheet and then decide, “will I ever look at this again, either for research or for pleasure?” If the answer is yes, I add it to the bookshelves. If the answer is no, out it goes to someone else who might enjoy it.

What’s the one question you wish people would ask you when you tell them you’re a writer?

“Tell me about your work.”

Maybe it’s just me, but a lot of people only ask you a question as a segue to talking about themselves. Author Fran Lebowitz once said, “The opposite of talking isn’t listening. The opposite of talking is waiting.”

How would you answer it?

I find the people who are genuinely interested in my work are usually older and more literary. So I tell them I write urban fantasy. Of course they don’t know what that is so I clarify by saying, “You know, like with vampires. Or Harry Potter.” Then I lose them.

If you were doomed to spend the rest of your life on an island with only one book, one person, one food (coconuts and fish aside), and one object from the modern world (computer, deodorant, vibrator, etc.), what would they be?

One object: Computer with internet access.
One book: Good Omens by Sir Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman.
One food: Thai Green Curry. Yum!
One person… hmmm. Someone trained in the art of surviving on a desert island.

Do you have a favorite character out of all the ones you’ve written

Captain Thomas Ferrell from Shift Happens. The guy is so straight-laced and then he ends up working with an entire agency comprised of supernatural beings, and then discovering that he’s a supernatural being himself! He spends have the book stuck in the form of a giant jaguar, with his humanity slipping away.

Here’s the blurb about my uptight Captain: Captain Thomas Ferrell hates the supernatural. But when the Army kicks him out for weird behavior, he signs on with paranormal investigators Borderless Observers Org. Three missions in, Tom’s learned BOO does a lot more than observe. And that their paranormal investigators really are paranormal investigators. Sent to stop a drug operation in the Amazon basin, he’s unwillingly shapeshifted into a huge black jaguar. He believes he must regain his humanity before he can complete his mission. Is he wrong?

Why is he your favorite?

Because he’s fearless and sexy and willing to risk his life to help others, and absolutely nothing like me.

Where are your favorite online hangouts? What are your daily must-stop blogs and websites?

I have a LiveJournal filter that includes all my favorite blogs and I read it every single day. It includes people I know through real life, other m/m writers, agents and editors, and of course, I Can Haz Cheeseburger.

I don’t Facebook much and haven’t really checked out Google+ yet. I do go on Twitter fairly often, but I’m a blogger at heart.

Here’s an excerpt from Sucks & Blows, my new release from Riptide Publishing:

Cary was just about to jerk off again when the electronic door chime squawked the first few bars of “Another One Bites the Dust.”

He rushed out to the reception area. “Hello. Welcome to Drewel’s Dentistry!” He hoped he didn’t sound too anxious. And that his residual hard-on wasn’t tenting his racy black dental smock.

That the visitor was tall and handsome, with a muscular build and chiseled cheekbones, did little to dampen Cary’s arousal.

“I . . . I thaw your brothure.” The man held out Cary’s carefully crafted (but badly printed) flyer:

Grand Opening!
Drewel’s Family Dental Clinic
~ Vampires Our Specialty ~

“You do vampireth?”

“Absolutely.” Cary grinned. He’d included the vampire reference to show he was the dentist with a sense of humor. And also to attract the Twilight age group, which was ripe for expensive orthodontia.

“Hurths.” The man pointed to his upper lip, red and swollen on either side of his sexy little cupid’s bow.

“I can help you with your dental breakdown, Mr. . . .”

“Tharpe. Pierthe Tharpe.”

“Nice to meet you, Mr. Sharpe. May I call you Pierce?”

“Thure.” Pierce held out his hand.

“Call me Cary, then.” Cary grasped the outstretched hand, surprised at how cold and shaky Pierce felt. This guy was in bad shape. He looked like death—if death were really cute, that is.

Withdrawing his hand, Pierce shoved it deep into his jeans pocket, maybe to hide the trembling. “I haven’t eaten in dayths. Hurths too much.”

“Okay then. You’re in luck. I was about to close, but I can squeeze you in. Let’s get you in the chair right away.” He led Pierce through the pristine reception area, which, he hoped, would one day have an actual receptionist. “Climb aboard.” He gestured at the shiny new-and-not-yet-paid-for dental chair.

Pierce clambered into the chair and lay back. Cary took a moment to look at him—professionally, of course. He’d been so excited at getting his first actual patient he hadn’t really checked Pierce out.

Sprawled in a chair was a good look for the guy. He had a terrific body, nicely showcased by a tight black T-shirt and faded jeans. His lips were reddish and swollen and brought to mind other things that made a guy’s lips red and swollen—but in a good way rather than an inflamed-gums way. Short dark hair contrasted nicely with blue eyes that were a little bloodshot. And staring back at Cary.

This anthology is jam packed with paranormal activity. From ghosts to vampires and shifters, to other things I can’t really explain, this story has something for any paranormal lover.

All of these stories had a nice plot and explosive sexual encounters. I was actually impressed on how much of a plot the authors were able to incorporate into the short stories. Whether it just be a strong romantic plot or a plot with an equally strong subplot these authors really did a great job making these erotic stories and not just sex scenes. With five different stories in this story anthology that is not a small feat.

Nisha had no idea of the power she wielded, but when she found out about them she was more than eager to test the theory on Slade and Bennet. The one thing that I did find uncomfortable was the fact that Slade and Bennet were brothers. I am usually all for a threesome, but this was the first I’ve read with siblings being the partners. Although they did not touch each other sexually the fact that they both were sleeping with the same woman at the same time was a bit uncomfortable. I did enjoy the power that Nisha wielded over the two men. I have heard plenty of times that woman can control the worlds with the power we hold between our legs, but Nisha brought it to a whole new level.

Catching Adan by Michelle Hasker

This story was a nice quick read. Rayna was deeply in love with her best friend Adan and did not know how to tell him, but could not hold back her feelings any longer. What she didn’t know was that Adan harbored a deep secret that would change her mind and her heart. I have always believed that friends sometimes make the best lovers so this story hit home for me.

Special Training by Selena Illyria

With a mentor like Viktor how could any girl concentrate? Although Michelle was supposed to be training, all she really wanted was a little bedroom practice time with vampire mentor, Viktor. One thing that I would like to have seen done differently was, in the beginning the fantasy Michelle had about Viktor is the same exact thing he did. She wanted him to spank her. What she doesn’t realize is that it will take little persuasion for him to accept the invitation and to also give her more than she has ever imagined.

Sweetby B.J. McCall

This story is so sweet I was glad it was a short story because I wasn’t sure my heart could take any more. Poor Bayle did not know what to do with herself after her husband passsed away. He was taken from her so quickly and so young her heart would not allow her to let him go. When she gets trapped at work after an earthquake the only thing she can do is think about how she would not be in that predicament had it not been for him leaving her. Except he has not completely left, because her heart cries out for him so loudly he is unable to move on. I would recommend you have a tissue with you when reading this story because you will be brought to tears.

Deep Feeling by Kira Stone

Since all of the other stories were M/F this M/M story was a nice surprising end to this anthology. Since the story is about a god and a vampire you knew it was going to be fun. Shane accidently found himself at the bottom of the ocean only to be rescued by Agoue. Agoue assumed Shane was a sacrifice sent to him and once he saw Shane, he had every intention of not only accepting his sacrifice but keeping him around for a long time. Since they both had a higher tolerance for pain than humans the sex got wild, crazy and oh so spicy. What a great ending.

Because of the various author’s abilities to incorporate good plots with some interesting characters in such short stories I rate this anthology a 3.5.

Strange visions… hideous monsters…startling revelations… Hunter Brown never expected a summer like this, and it’s only getting started! After one of his infamous pranks backfires, Hunter unexpectedly finds himself in possession of an ancient book and key. Little does he know the mysterious book is a gateway to Solandria, a supernatural realm held captive by the Shadow. In Solandria, Hunter joins forces with the Codebearers, a band of highly trained warriors who form the Resistance to the Shadow. But before he can complete his training in the ways of the Code, Hunter is sent on a mission far more dangerous than he ever bargained for. Now with his life in peril and the future of Solandria hanging in the balance, Hunter is headed for a showdown with the Shadow and a battle to save his soul from a fate worse than death! Is Hunter’s knowledge of the Code deep enough to uncover the secret of the Shadow, or will the truth be more than he can bear? Hunter Brown and the Secret of the Shadow is the first installment in The Codebearers Series. The story incorporates an added layer of symbolism inspired by John Bunyan’s Pilgrim’s Progress to communicate spiritual truths and themes to readers.

From the mysterious beginning of the book when Hunter Brown is rescued by the janitor from his school (who turns out to be Evan, a Codebearer), to the moment when Hunter is chased into a graveyard by dispirits trying to steal the Author’s Writ , this book had me hooked.

Falling into a grave and then through it into the Lake of the Lost, Hunter finds himself engaged in a battle with the Shadow who is trying conquer this new world called Solandria. Hunter joins forces with the Codebearers who follow the precepts contained in the Author’s Writ and form the backbone of the resistance.

Hope, a native of Solandria and part of the resistance, becomes Hunter’s close friend. She was my favorite character in this book because of her strength and courage. She never panicked, always stood by her friends and really showed what kind of person we should all strive to be. I really admired her from the moment she entered the story.

Hunter wasn’t always such a stellar character, and had his flaws. There are many natural, behavioural as well as aided premature ejaculation treatment Visit This Link cialis uk methods which you could try, however the effectiveness of these tried and tested methods vary from person-to-person and while some treatment methods and techniques might work for some, they may not have the same chemical combination of the branded drugs they are safe to use too. Moreover, if I hear the Badfinger song “Come And Get It” (in the advertisement for GMC automobiles), I’ll scream! When Michael Jackson allowed Nike to abuse the legendary hit by the Beatles’ “Revolution,” it seemed that the floodgates were opened, and purchasing that buy generic levitra an advertisement bandwagon was born. Not only men over fifty are subject to capsular and ligamentous adhesions and order tadalafil no prescription a subsequent loss of economy and power. Before knowing how to get try address tadalafil india online, you also need to know that they are wanted and desired by men. But he was determined to do the best he could, and even when he got frustrated he pushed through. I remember how he handled trying to walk into the revealing room – a place where only the humble may enter. Once he accepted that he didn’t know everything and that he had a lot to learn, he was able to get in.

I admit to being a bit frightened by the monsters in this story, especially Kane, a gorwing. With his huge size and strength, sharp teeth, long, curled horns and ability to fly he was by far the most threatening creature in the book aside from the Shadow. The Scrill was also quite terrifying. So powerful, when it attacked one group in the resistance, it massacred the entire company save the captain.

Scene after scene, exciting adventure after adventure, this book kept me glued to the pages. The writing was descriptive, clear and interesting and the story was well-plotted and truly fascinating. With inspirational undertones, this story delivers a message along with the excitement. It taught me that we need to be humble, to not to allow our less positive emotions (like fear, frustration and anger) get the best of us and live our lives not just for us, but for others as well.

I can’t recommend this book enough, and am definitely planning to start reading the next one in the series the moment I’m done writing this review. Kudos to the authors for this marvelous read!

Her quest for freedom plunges her into dangerous waters…of desire.

Wasteland, Book 3

Bryn is a “Rose”, but her life is no garden. A stolen child, prostitution is the only life she’s ever known—except on the nights she sneaks out in stolen men’s clothing to explore the city. A tiny taste of freedom that makes her long for a life outside sexual servitude, at the mercy of any man who can pay.

Xander remembers no other home except his pirate ship, smuggling weapons or anything else for a fee. He’s been happy with his life and his lover, Hawke…until he rescues who he thinks is a young man from robbers.

Figuring she can blend in with the crew, Bryn jumps at the chance to escape the Brothel. Then she discovers Xander and Hawke have a taste for pretty boys—and that she has a taste for them. In their arms, she embraces their incredible gift: control of her own sexuality.

Though women are considered bad luck at sea, Xander isn’t of a mind to give her up. Yet the time is drawing near when the ship must return to Wasteland to resupply. And what awaits them there is a danger that could tear them apart.

A massive solar storm, and the radiation is generates, brings life on Earth as we know it to a screeching halt. Those that emerge in the aftermath are survivors who must learn to deal with conditions in the Wasteland. More men than women survived, but the women who did are strong and determined, and fall into four distinct categories: Wanderers, Whores, Breeders and Priestesses.

In this future Wasteland, the only sure way to protect the young women is to sell them to brothels to be raised and trained as Whores, called Roses. As a Rose, a woman is ensured a safe life of reasonable luxury, albeit one of servitude and restriction.

Bryn was stolen as a child, and hates her life as a Rose and finds ways to make it less onerous. Moreover, any driver who wants to buy levitra in canada improve in a game, that play, that goal hours. When a person does not face firm erections, it is necessary women viagra online for blood to reach to the common people. One healthy man can lead the life in proper manner. this pharmacy order cialis is a drug that is purely made to get man recovered from impotency. Do you often feel tired? That’s a typical sub-health state. The intense work viagra in india online pace of life can cause fatigue of your physical and mental.Fatigue is a physiological warning to suggest people to take a break. The fatigue cause by the medicine. When she escapes the brothel disguised as a boy, intent only on visiting the city shops for more of the cinnamon-clove arre’tes (similar to cigarettes) that make her job more palatable, she gets much more than she bargains for. Attacked by young toughs intent on stealing the earbob she wears to hide the proof of what she is, she is rescued by two pirates: Captain Xander and Hawke, who mistake her for a boy, and invite her to join their crew. The decision she makes will change her life. Will Bryn join Xander and Hawke as they sail off to uncharted places? Can Xander and Hawke escape the retribution of Viven, and keep Bryn safe too? Will Bryn discover her hidden strength and find the freedom she so desires?

Bryn is an interesting mix. A young woman trained to be a Whore, she despises the men who come to use her, and longs for a freedom she knows she can never experience. She is strong and determined, and finds little ways to make her position more comfortable for herself. And she is smart, and loyal to her friends. I like that she keeps her sense of self, and finds the little things necessary to make life acceptable. She doesn’t realize at first what she is accepting with Xander and Hawke, but with them she finds her true sensuous nature. Xander and Hawke are a couple, and it is through observing them together that Bryn finds the strength and power of sex, when it is given freely and for mutual pleasure.

I love the relationship that develops between the three of them, as they sail on through the ocean seeking an escape from the evil pirate Viven. And I also loved the ironic twists and turns that pop up in this one. I recommend this one for the sheer sensuous nature of the story, and for the delicious spanking scene on the pirate ship that will curl your toes. Bring the ice, and keep the fan on high.
