Top Ten Tuesday: Spring Cleaning

Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday!  Spring is just around the corner, and this week’s topic is Spring Cleaning Freebie.  I decided to do my list in two parts.  The first part are books I’d like to clean off my tbr by reading them.  The second part are books I no longer want to keep and want to clean off my shelves by giving them away.  Let’s get to the list!

Books to Clean Off My TBR by Reading them

My Plain Jane by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows-I absolutely loved My Lady Jane, but I have yet to read this book!

My Plain Jane (The Lady Janies, #2)

Under the Greenwood Tree by Thomas Hardy-I love classics and this one has been sitting on my shelves for too long.  I need to make time to read it.

Under the Greenwood Tree

I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith-Another classic I desperately need to read.

I Capture the Castle

Silence Fallen (Mercy Thompson #10) by Patricia Briggs-This is one of my favorite series, but I’ve fallen behind and need to get caught back up.

Silence Fallen (Mercy Thompson, #10)

Death of Kings (The Last Kingdom #6) by Bernard Cornwell-Another favorite series I need to continue reading.

Death of Kings (The Saxon Stories, #6)

The Tombs of Atuan (Earthsea Cycle #2) by Ursula K LeGuin-I really enjoyed A Wizard of Earthsea and read it several times, but I’ve never continued on in the series!

The Tombs of Atuan (Earthsea Cycle, #2)

Books I No Longer Want to Keep

Stalking Jack the Ripper (Stalking Jack the Ripper #1) by Kerri Maniscalco-I enjoyed this book, but it isn’t a favorite. (more on that below)  I’m thinking of donating it to my local bookstore.

Stalking Jack the Ripper (Stalking Jack the Ripper, #1)

Hunting Prince Dracula (Stalking Jack the Ripper #2) by Kerri Maniscalco-As I mentioned above, I enjoyed the first book in the series.  I bought the second book and started reading it, but really had a hard time getting into it and ended up putting it aside.  I haven’t really felt the need to pick it up again and am considering donating it.  If you’ve read it, do you think I should give it another try?

Hunting Prince Dracula (Stalking Jack the Ripper, #2)

Nine Elms (Kate Marshall #1) by Robert Bryndza-This book has a compelling plot and main character, but its a little too dark for me.

Nine Elms (Kate Marshall, #1)

The Other Mrs. by Mary Kubica-Another suspense that is just a little too dark for me.

The Other Mrs.

What do you think?  How did you approach the Spring Cleaning Freebie?

  3. I liked Hunting Prince Dracula, but it wasn’t my favourite book in that series.
