Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl
We’ve reached the hot, humid portion of the year where I live. Along with eating ice cream and other cold foods, I spend a lot of free time reading and trying to stay cool.
Here are ten books that have one-word titles that could be good reads as the temperature soars.
1. Pawcasso by Remy Lai
2. Allegedly by Tiffany D. Jackson
3. Kitchen by Banana Yoshimoto
4. Warcross (Warcross, #1) by Marie Lu
5. Alaska by James A. Michener
6. Mooncakes by Suzanne Walker
7. Girl by Jamaica Kincaid
8. Heartstopper by Alice Oseman
9. Brass by Xhenet Aliu
10. Sadie by Courtney Summers
I have not read any of these. Happy reading 🌞☕📚💜
Thanks. I think it’s fun when that happens! 🙂
I keep wanting to try Michener but his books are so….huge!
Yes, they sure are. I totally understand being a little put off by that. 🙂
Mooncakes is so cute!
Agreed!
Oh, Warcross sounds interesting. One of my friend’s picks for our book club is Legend by Marie Lu. I’ll have to check it out! Hope you enjoyed/will enjoy these titles!
Thank you. 🙂
I liked Radio Silence by Oseman but haven’t read that one. Courtney Summers is another author I am behind on.
I hope you like them when you read them! Thank you for stopping by every week, Greg. 🙂
Love seeing Heartstopper included. 🙂
Thanks. 🙂
I haven’t read any on your list. Now I’m craving icecream!
Isn’t it delicious? 🙂
The ice cream looks great, LOL! I have not read any of these. Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier!
You’re welcome. 🙂
Sadie is so good! I listened to the audiobook it’s a fantastic production 🙂
Oh, nice! I’m glad the audiobook is so great.
I haven’t read any of these, but The One sounds good, and I do enjoy a thriller from time to time!
I hope you like it if you read it!
Great list, I have Sadie on my TBR!
Thank you. May you enjoy Sadie.
Allegedly by Tiffany D. Jackson looks amazing.
Great list!
Thanks. That was such a good story.
Pawcasso is my favorite of these titles! What a great list. 😀
And thanks for commenting on my blog earlier.
You’re welcome. Isn’t that title funny? I loved it, too.
I have Sadie on my TBR. Hopefully I’ll read it someday 🙂
May you enjoy it!
Always interesting to see other lists. As with so many others, I haven’t read a single one of them. I always wanted to read something by James Michener. Would you suggest Alaska as a starter? Or anything else?
Thanks for visiting my TTT this week.
You’re welcome.
Yes, Alaska is a good place to start with Michener. If you prefer a more tropical read, Hawaii was also really good.
Allegedly is one of my all-time favorite novels. Hope you can stay cool this summer!
Thanks. You, too!
Allegedly was very good for sure.
I love warcrosss, It’s a fun saga that keeps you hooked
Glad to hear it. 🙂
We don’t have humidity here in the Phoenix area, but we do have HEAT. It’s 114 right now. Ugh. Even our pool is warm right now! LOL. I agree that the best thing to do is stay inside and read 🙂 Enjoy your summer reading!
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!

I’ve not read any of these but I did love the Heartstopper Netflix series and am looking forward to S2. I’ve heard fab things about the Sadie audiobook so that’s one I definitely want to get to at some point.
