I started reading this book last night and I pulled an all-nighter. From the moment that “Bettie’s” eyes meet John’s the chemistry bounces off the pages. A simple misunderstanding leads these two into a game of Dom and submissive you will not soon forget. “Bettie” (as Lizzie calls herself during this game) poses as an escort willing to provide John whatever fantasies he desires.

Although BDSM is involved, the undercurrent of caring, sensitivity, patience and deep understanding of each other’s needs cannot be denied. John being twenty plus years senior to “Bettie” provides anchoring to this relationship. Slowly, he recognizes there is more to her than meets the eye. He absolutely taken by her gentle and glamorous ways, her level of maturity, and natural sensual intuition, making the game they are playing an unforgettable one.

As the Dominant, John not only takes “Bettie” by the hand and mentors her in the ways of BDSM that suit his purpose. He quickly realizes she is his fantasy come true. My only regret about this book is that at the end, I was still hoping for more. Do not get me wrong, it is a great ending; just I was so into the story that I just simply needed more. I will be reading the sequel The Accidental Mistress because I really need to find out what happens next.

This is definitely one of the books set aside as a favorite. I will re-read this book at some point in the future and perhaps dream about John and “Bettie” and what their life must be like after the ending in this book.
