Wow, this novel is ripe with exciting paranormal spy woo-woo. Meaning what a reader ultimately finds out is that there is a most unusual, diabolical paranormal-esque scientific kind of potential for extreme intrigue and damage stemming from the exuberant pursuit of ‘what-if?” from a genius mind. Sounds convoluted? Readers are in for a wild time before they even get to that exciting bit of story reveal. Never mind the mental landmines that dog the hero, Player, throughout the novel plus sized adventure. This is one romance story that has so many irons in the fire, that a reader will be hard-pressed to put it down, even for a minute.
Practitioners, during an observation, saw cialis pills free working to increase blood supply near male regenerative area needed for sufficient erections. It purchase cheap cialis stops normal gallbladder motion and contraction leading to acidic bile, and gallstones. The story opens with a crisis narrowly averted, only to tumble into another one, and another bigger one that is terrorizing residents in the town, only to discover that there is another one on top of all of them that seems much more sinister and worrisome. Player and Zyah have the hardest hurdles to jump in order to reach their happy ever after but it’s all worth it. I assure you.
The hot, graphic demands of the physical nature of a dominate man in the bedroom is met head to head, heat to heat by the heroine, and Zyah gives as good as she gets. She’s a strong woman in her own right and she stands up for herself whenever it’s required of her, yet she’s compassionate, loving and loyal. All good qualities that will help Player heal and overcome some of his worst nightmares. Fans of the series will understand where those nightmares stem from, and what the nature of them will most likely be.
This romance novel is well-written, exciting, has lots of depth with opportunities for readers to feel like they’re in the thick of things, and enough hot and heavy sheet action to appeal to the habanero level of romance readers.
Some of my favorite scenes in the book all seem to happen at The Floating Hat. I believe readers are going to giggle, laugh or chortle at the antics of Preacher and Sabelia. It was completely out of character for Preacher to get all frantically excited, demanding, rapturous and argumentative all at the same time. It was comical and I enjoyed every sentence. I hope those fiery sparks mean something for a future book. That would be cool. But other things happen at The Floating Hat that aren’t as comical but no less fascinating. I enjoyed the time the author had her characters spend there.
The HEA is great and it was written well, giving me assurance that Player and Zyah are going to be okay. There will still be subjects they’ll have to work out, but that is actually realistic to life. As time goes on and people learn more about the other, compromise, forgiveness, laughter and love will see them through. The heroine and hero have a strong base to work from.
Parts of the ending wrap-up were anti-climactic. There was such a buildup that I had high expectations and yet once all the cards are on the table, I thought to myself, “That’s it? That’s all there is?” The interpretation of the eyes and how it ends felt like a letdown. As weird as this sounds, I thought it resolved too fast, too … happy? Considering how stressed everyone was, with good reason, you’d think I’d be happy it eventually led to something surprisingly unpredictable, but I’m kind of not. Not totally, anyway. Perhaps my anticipation was because of misinterpretation? I don’t know and it’ll be up to readers to decide for themselves.
Overall, Reckless Road is a wonderful addition to the series and quite a good read. It kept my interest from the first chapter until the very end and there was a lot of emotion and feelings affected along the way. I liked Player and Zyah, her grandmother, Anat, and a few other characters. The feeling of family is still solid and I think it’s one of the strong points of the novel and series as a whole. I think fans of the series are going to like this one. I know I did.
