How can a story encompass all the above genres in only thirteen pages? Difficult I admit, but Mr Waymire did this admirably. Floyd is a great character who acts as a dedicated gumshoe, not the usual dirty raincoat, cigarette smoking type. His determination to solve the mystery carries him through many difficult situations, uncovering mysteries and solving problems. Add a touch of paranormal and you have a good story, albeit short. A nice read and well worth a rating of four.
