Love Me If You Dare is a sweet romance that made me ache and smile in turn. I fell in love with Reece and Cami and all the other quirky characters of Coral Cove.

Although the beginning of their attraction felt somewhat awkward, the more I got to know the characters and their stories, the more I liked them. And after a while, their interaction felt more natural and flowing. I think I had the biggest problem with a large amount of internal dialogue at the beginning, but after I got used to it, it became part of who the characters were and it didn’t distract me from the story any longer.

The characters were a lovely contrast at first, until Camille slowly began to reveal her softer side. This was done gradually enough to be believable. Reece, too, was a wonderful character, hanging on to the motel as the only thing he had left, until he finally realized that, in certain amounts, change, too, can be respectful of the memory of his family.

Even the pet iguana Fifi and the cat Tiger Lily were lovely characters that added a certain charm to the Happy Crab Motel and Coral Cove as a whole. The quaintness of the town was nicely introduced through the colorful characters and the descriptions of the fun events and old-fashioned places. It made me want to visit it, and it explained why Camille ultimately changed her mind about forcing Reece to sell his motel and allow Windchime Resorts to forever change the town.

This is such a feel-good story I’d recommend it to anyone who likes sweet romances or just needs a heartwarming read to cheer themselves up.
