Simon has developed feelings for the girl who bedeviled him growing up, his best friend’s sister—not that Alys is a girl any longer. She’s a grown-up, beautiful, wonderful woman who makes him crazy. He obtains her brother’s permission to date her, and asks her out. And is rejected.

Alys is innocent and plans to stay that way until she meets a man who holds the same moral code, regardless of her lengthy crush on Simon. Privy to his escapades and conquests, her jealousy has turned to distaste and she sets herself on a different path.

Akarkra improves tadalafil pharmacy online your physical strength. She wants a man who has refrained from meaningless affairs, who has waited for the special woman.

Simon does the research but Google assures him he can’t become re-virginized and thus Alys is beyond his reach—until one day when he takes her for lunch in his beloved truck. That day, love changes everything.

Simon remembered Alys as the skinny little sister of his best friend – a small sprite who constantly followed the boys around, hanging on their every word. But Simon can’t ignore the fact that Alys is all grown up now, and he’s got a craving for her that just won’t quit. But Alys isn’t interested in dating a man with “experience” and Simon’s had more than his fair share of women in the past. Can they work through their problems and find some common ground together?

I was a little surprised at how judgmental I found Alys’ character. While sure, it was refreshing to have the hero be the one (and not the heroine) given a bad rep for having slept around a whole bunch – I couldn’t help but think that his previous experience was in the past and certainly shouldn’t have cast a stain on his current actions. I was also a little dismayed when I realized that had the roles been reversed – ie had the hero refused to even go on a date with a heroine who had “played the field” in the past I’d have stopped reading there and then and not had the stomach to read on. So it didn’t sit well with me that Alys refused to even get to know the grown-up Simon on a first date simply because he had experience and had played the field.

Putting that whole issue of Alys and her strangely archaic desire to have a boyfriend to “learn by experience with her” aside – there was still a lot that I did enjoy about this story. Simon is not portrayed as some wronged hero, or some perfect man on a pedestal whom all women should fall at his feet. Simon made his own share of mistakes throughout the story and was as human as the rest of us. While I admit I never really warmed to Alys’ character I could come to appreciate where she was coming from. Unrealistic as her original expectations were, when she finally admits to herself how much she loves Simon and how much she wants him she’s willing to bend her own rules and actually try to get to know the poor guy before casting him aside as sullied goods.

Understandably considering Alys’ desire to wait, there’s only one brief sex scene throughout the whole story – but there is considerable chemistry between both Alys and Simon as they go out together and get to know each other. Readers looking for a highly erotic and explicit story probably won’t be satisfied with the brief sex scene here, but I think readers who are happy for there to be a build up and plenty of chemistry should find the heat level satisfying.

A very different style of story, this story was refreshing for a change of pace. While I don’t think it will appeal to all readers, it’s different enough that those looking for something left of center might find this worth a try.
