Love Bound In Ice is the third book in Marisa Chenery’s exciting Werewolf Sentinels series. It’s another great short story from one of my favorite authors. It’s true…I have loved all the books in this series. But thanks to the author’s talented writing the stories seem to get better with each new one I read. I think this one is my favorite though because I loved the characters so much.
Ketah has been my favorite wolf brother right from the start. He has embraced the modern world since awakening from his long sleep. He was just so sexy and cool, how could a woman not fall in love? When he rescues his mate from a tight spot, Ketah is ecstatic. But as his luck would have it, his mate doesn’t jump right on the Ketah train. Haven has seen the hard way how a handsome face can destroy a woman. She’s afraid to give her heart to a Ketah, for fear he’ll run out on her just like her dad did to her mom. But we all know how hard it is to resist that pesky mating heat. There’s not much conflict between the two leads in this story. Haven accepts Ketah with only a slight hesitation, once she finds out that he won’t be leaving her for the first sweet thing that comes along. The danger comes from the dark wolves who plan to use Ketah and Haven’s mating bond against them.
When it comes to sexy shifter stories…Marisa Chenery always delivers the good stuff. She leaves her readers feeling satisfied and wanting some more. For a short story this one had a lot of character. The hero and heroine were easy to love. Ketah understood Haven’s fears and wanted her to realize that he was in it for the long haul. Haven resisted Ketah at first but with her background that was easy to understand. I loved Haven. She was strong willed and more than a bit stubborn. The character developement was totally credible. The thing I like so much about Marisa Chenery books is that you get some steamy sex scenes but you also get a real story. She delivers an interesting plot every time. Although there was the conflict with the dark wolves, I thought that this story focused more on the relationship between the hero and heroine. And I liked that. I liked it a lot. For the length it had plenty of action and drama to keep the reader interested right up until that last page. All in all, I’d say that this was an enjoyable and sexy read. I’d recommend it and am looking forward to reading the stories to follow.
